So I've tried supporting the local spots for oil changes over the years, but not gonna lie, this was so much better. Some of the local spots have you drop it off in the morning and "hope to get to it," leaving you without a car for the day. Others don't necessarily honor the time you had reserved and you're left waiting a while. And then you have to get the third degree upsell when they tell you everything that could ever go wrong with your car. Enter, this Jiffy Lube right off Rainbow and 43rd. It's drive-thru style, so you just roll up, and if no one is there you're probably out in 15 minutes. Hell someone was ahead of me and I was still out in 15 minutes. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Guys here are friendly, and they did a nice job.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They didn't push the upsells hard, but they will show you the dirty air filter which I needed to replace anyhow. I was also low on washer fluid and a few others, and those are included in the oil change package. Our "change oil" light came on but we are busy so we popped in Jiffy Lube for a quick oil change. Great service at this Jiffy Lube! Every team member I have talked to has been informative, professional, and quick! I appreciate that they top off all the fluids and fill your tires when you come for an oil change, and they will check your lights too. If you've never been to a Jiffy Lube, all you have to do is pull around to the back, and someone will come check you in and ask what you need done. Once you pull your car in, you can go to the waiting room or stay in your car. I have never had to wait more than 45 minutes at this Jiffy Lube, and they work quickly but thoroughly. Started going to this place because they're always closer to my house than others. This location charged me over 160 for an oil change. I'm going back to Firestone. They'll actually let you use the coupons on their website. Always less than $70 there. Also every oil change I've gotten here I've had to add more oil after a couple thousand miles. Very efficient and intuitive employees who got my car started within 5 minutes and noticed a few things previous car dealerships had done to my car ie duct taped my air filter tube on. TLDR: This Jiffy Lube is slow, expensive and incompetent I visited this location for a simple oil change. It appeared they were short staffed, but they were still able to get me into the bay within 15 minutes - this is where the good experience stops. I sat in my car for the duration of my oil change, which took 1.5 hours (typically takes 15-20 min). During that time, the 3 employees constantly yelled back and forth to each other. They were extremely unprofessional and it was obvious that 2 of the 3 did not have adequate training. I watched as the 2 struggled for 15 minutes trying to replace the air filter in the vehicle next to me. They then moved to under the hood of the car next to me, where they could not figure out how to put the oil dipstick back in. All while arguing and questioning each other. One of them walked up to my car with a large plastic pitcher - when the "mechanic" asked if it was 5w-30, she said "yeah, I think so". I finally left, after paying over $170?! Less than 10 minutes after my oil change, my car started overheating - giving a warning light any time I went over 40mph. I had a mobile mechanic come (on a Saturday $$$) and found out there was engine oil mixed in with my coolant. They were unable to find any issue in my engine that would have caused this, but said the mixture was too thick and would not allow my thermostat to open properly. I had to have a full coolant flush, new thermostat and new oil put in. The mechanic was confident that this issue could have only been caused by Jiffy Lube somehow getting used oil into my coolant system. I am lucky the damage was not a lot worse. read more

Total rip off I called yesterday for a price including the extra oil that it holds and it was in the $128 range so I printed off the $26 coupon online and rolled in here Woopsie they forgot the hidden charges almost $176 with a $20 air filter. They should be forthcoming there was nothing about this. That was right next time I'm going to the dealer. It still takes an hour and much cheaper. The best oil change experience I can say that I've ever had. Really efficient but also really thorough. I had some missing caps on my tires and my air was really low in my tires and they fixed all that up for me. They topped off all my fluids, which may seem like every place will do that but you'd be surprised at how many places take that shortcut. They were really thorough and made sure that I got everything that I needed and they did a really great job also being really nice! Will be coming back to this one again, not only is it super close in the neighborhood but it's also just the best customer service I've ever received. read more

I went in for an oil change and began to regret it very soon. The tech doing the work did not know what he was doing, and the person ostensibly supervising the tech was of little assistance. It was a complete fiasco, which I was able to witness because it was too nice outside to wait in the tiny waiting room. Because it was clear I had seen what was going on, the manager knocked $20 off the cost. I suspect if I had stayed in the waiting area, this would not have happened. But wait, there's more! There is now oil leaking onto my garage floor, underneath the oil filter, which has never happened before. I did not know which flavor of incompetence was responsible: did they not bother to clean spilled oil off my skid plate, or did they over-or under-tighten the oil filter? Now I have to worry about THAT! I crawled under the car to see, and noticed they had not bothered to replace the oil filter access plate AND one of the two bolt that holds that plate on was missing. So now I need to find a replacement for that part. I would not go back under any circumstance; I would not even trust them to replace the bolt they apparently lost. read more

This is the second time this year that I've gone to this location, and many of the 'Signature Services' weren't actually completed for me, though they were all checked off. This includes - *Check Tire Pressure (I have a slowly leaking rear tire that I checked just before I dropped off, and afterwards it was still 10psi too low). *Vacuum Floors (still filthy) *Wash Exterior Windows (same) As well as a 'Special Oil Filter Charge' that varies from $5-$10 each visit. I just can't justify an $80+ Oil Change, especially because I can't trust that everything else that was checked off on that list was actually done. I'll never go back. *3 months later, and I still haven't heard from the manager. I also filed a formal complaint over the phone, and sending an email, and I haven't heard from anyone. It's time for an oil change, and I know where I will NOT be going. read more

I've never spent less than 60-100 bucks here, even with coupons, and I can't understand how some basic biannual maintenance is putting me out that much. Is it for the in/out speed of service? After an oil change at Jiffy Lube #2218, for my next scheduled oil change I went to a different professional. This professional said my oil filter was too tight and could not be removed. I returned to Jiffy Lube #2218, expecting my car to be serviced free-of-charge. Instead both the manager Jeffrey and the District Manager Tim told me the other professional likely lied. The "oil change" signal came on in my car recently and I wasn't sure what to do (and kept forgetting about it ). I moved to KC recently and wasn't sure where to go (in fact, I was living in places where I didn't need a car so i've never before gotten an oil change). I googled nearby places and knew the Jiffy Lube name, so I called to ask if an appointment is needed. A nice girl answered the phone. She answered politely and not like she was annoyed to be answering the phone like you find at a lot of places. I was in and out in under 10 minutes I think. I didn't time it, but I but I sat down and looked at a a magazine for 3-4 minutes, then the attendant and I went through the payment process (2-3 mins), then she came back to get me no more than 3 minutes after that. It cost $81 for a full oil change with synthetic oil. This was for the "Better" level oil but not the "Best" oil. I had a coupon for $15 that I forgot to present, but may try to get that credited back. read more

I have noticed a steady decline at this location. Arrived @ 11:15 on Saturday. All bays were closed. An employee came outside and told me that I would have to come back 2 hours later due to staff lunch breaks. I was prepared pay for a high mileage oil change and a new air filter. Because of the inconvenience that this has caused. I will never use Jiffy lube again. read more
