DANGER LURKS HERE! AC/COMP BELT CHANGE....NEED EST. I came in to get new AC and comp belts installed. Mine were shredded. However I did have to drive fifteen miles to get belts from the only other supplier. Drove back to Jif Lube with my car still running strong. THEN, they said "need your keys so we can check it out and now just where do these belt go exactly"? THAT WAS A RED FLAG. All i wanted at this point was the $estimate before I commit. "HOW MUCH WILL IT COST-i asked"?. "Jif replied about $280 bec you bought the belts somewhere else and we have to charge extra, plus taxes, etc." I WANT MY CAR ...THAT IS WAY TOO MUCH AND BTW, WHAT WERE YOU DOING WITH MY CAR IN THE BAY WHERE YOU WERE TRYING TO JUMPER CONNECT IT TO SOME CAR IN FRONT FOR CHARGING"? JIF replies " oh, your battery was down bec no belt was in place to charge it" ...."But...but...when i came in the car was running like a racehorse...I replied"... ....Jif said " well they can run down pretty quick sometimes but we charged it and you are good to go". ....(I live about two blocks away...my car would barely pull off the lot... then it completely quit...dead quit... just as I turned onto Harrodsburg rd....great...I guess this is where I might die...I can imagine the news "80yo handicapped man dies in traffic mishap!! His car was only charged enough to get him halfway home". ***DRAW YOUR OWN CONCLUSIONS- was it just bad luck or was it a poorly trained mechanic wanting to see me back for $280 job? HERE IS WHAT I DO KNOW- I WENT TO MY "G0-TO GUY" FOR HELP. WITH TRAFFIC WHIZZING ALL AROUND ME...NO TIME TO WASTE. "JESUS, I NEED YOUR HELP BRO...IN BIT OF A BIND HERE" (yeah, we are on a first name basis). IN LESS THAN 5 MIN TWO CARS STOPPED AROUND THE CURVE ,THREE PEOPLE JUMPED OUT AND STARTED PUSHING THE CAR TO SAFETY ABOUT 50YRDS AWAY. I COULD TAKE IT FROM THERE. I THANKED EACH PERSON...AND JESUS THANKED EACH SOUL...(clearly). One man was from out of town with his family, had also just had been clipped by a passing semi but even though he was down-spirited from that he still took the time to help me. I blessed all that were there (just do it people...no fancy words needed...call it like it is). "Jesus, I said, thank you soooo much for the help and please bless those standing around me here for their assistance and please help guide the kind person from Chicago to find some kind of relief from his sacrifice today...let it be if thy will be done, o'Lord, Amen". YOU SAW THE WONDERFUL WORK OF THE LORD AND MAYBE A FEW MORE PEOPLE THAT WILL OPEN THEIR LIVES TO GOD...(now i know you might be saying...I can't prove HE did anything but here is the catch "you can't prove HE didn't send the help from my call...now there comes a time when we all need to know 'when to fold 'em and when to play 'em (talking about faith cards now, really). It took me almost seventy years to make the right choice and I have yet to be denied HIS help for any reasonable request I have made...just study more about what God needs to see in you...and let Him set your path...not drugs, alcohol, etc....not everybody is tough enough to make HIM a partner...are YOU? Wonderful service - we were on a road trip and our brake light / turn signal light went out. All the other places we stopped at couldn't get to it until the next day, however the employees at Jiffy Lube were able to immediately help us. They replaced it immediately, were super kind, and even were nice enough to walk us through how to do it ourselves just in case it happened again. I've been going to the same jiffy lube for 7 years. I bring my own oil and filter and have paid $26 for the service. However, last week I was charged $68 for the same service. Nobody gave me a reason for the increase. I'll be looking for a different oil change place moving forward. Very disappointed . Went on a Saturday for a battery replacement they changed the price on me 4 time went from 170 to 246 to 480 to 869 very unprofessional the three people that were there at the time all had attitude trying to charge me what they said needed to be a 6 hour job then saying they could do it in 30 minutes but still charge me max so i left and abes got me right. read more

EXPENSIVE!!! Had my oil changed last week, and was charged $90.00, and that was with a $10.00 off coupon. Last time I give them my money, I will find somewhere cheaper next time!!! Also I literally stood in front of the cashier, while he texted on his phone for five minutes, until some one else came in. They also try to get you to pay for other services that you do not need!! I live nearby and sometimes take my car here out of convenience (3 times now maybe). I always get the distinct impression this location is run by amateurs. Today I sat out back in my car for 10 minutes and no one ever greeted me. I parked and walked inside to find someone. The guy said they were short-staffed and basically let me know they hoped I would go somewhere else. Past experiences here have included no receipt or electronic record of my visit when I paid cash. After my initial fiasco with the techs who used the wrong oil in my car and lied about it, as well as lying about topping off the fluids, etc. I made a complaint to the company and the manager has offered to do my next semi-synthetic oil change himself, for free. I had the same problem as a lower comment. Came in with a Groupon, they fiddle with stuff, didn't ask really any questions. When I went to start the car, it WOULD NOT START!! They told me it was my battery, so they pulled another car in and jumped my car. Then it started. I've been driving it for days with no trouble, and I have NEVER had trouble. Not the check engine light is on, the coolant is low, and I opens up the hood only to find they never reattached the battery or engine covers properly. I'm not sure if it's worth it, but I'd like a refund if nothing else. read more

Do not get your oil changed here. I went to get my oil changed and they sprayed engine -- shorting out my battery! They jump started the car and let it run for a while and then checked to see if would start again, and it did. The next morning, my car wouldn't start. I had never had trouble with this battery before. When I called to see what could be done, they said they would not do anything because I was able to drive the car off the lot. BS! a $20 dollar service turned into a $100 battery replacement. Do not go here. read more

Called on a Saturday 10 minutes before closing to see if I could still get an oil change and tire rotation. Sam the technician said as long as I got there before they closed he would work on my car. DO NOT GO TO THIS JIFFY LUBE. Took my car in for an oil change before a road trip. They did not put air in my tires. I pulled away and the air pressure warning light was still on. I came back and they said they must have missed it. I also paid for full synthetic oil. The oil in my car is NOT full synthetic. It is thin and dirty. Absolutely sketchy experience. read more

I had great hopes for this business as I live nearby. I wanted the oil changed in my 2012 Suburban. They seemed to be competent and friendly, paid $80 plus dollars and off I went. Later I had cause to be beneath the vehicle I realized that they had not changed the oil filter, I had marked the date last changed on old filter. They also added plain water when they topped off windshield washer tank which froze and broke a hose. NOT GOOD !!! I expect much better for a premium price, NEVER going back! read more

I took my Z71 Chevy Silverado here for an oil change and they did not change my filter, overfilled the oil due to not changing the filter (oil still in the filter and they did not take that into account) drove home and suddenly the Low oil pressure light & check engine light came on and I pulled over. Had to be towed home, got an ASE certified mechanic to come look at it and the truck had been over filled with oil. I called Jiffy Lube Lane Allen Road Lexington on July 12th he promised to send me a $300 check for the cost of 2 oil changes and frustration / expense of getting it home and today is July 31st he still has not sent the check and when I just spoke with him he said he agreed to send me $100 (which I have not received) an refused to give me the name of the owner only email of chrisyoo@yahoo.com. This was my first time, went upon the reccomendation of a coworker and I could not have been more impressed. They had three people working on my car at once and were very thourough. They vacuumed the mats, checked my air pressure and wiped down my windshield in addition to the oil change and topping off my windshield wiper fluid. Super fast, super polite and fair pricing. This is my go-to place for oil changes. The staff is very thorough, always and stand behind their products. The glass treatment alone has saved me on wiper blades because I don't use my wipers nearly as much as I used to. Water just beads right off. No pushy up selling. I was in and out in 10 minutes. My wife likes it because she doesn't get dismissed because she's a woman and she's coming in for auto service and may have some questions. read more

My brother and i both brought our cars in to get an oil change (we went in on the same day, he went right before me). His backseat's floorboards got vacuumed (part of the package) mine did not - even though i specifically cleaned all the clutter out before I arrived. I also noticed that the vacuuming of the front floorboards was half-assed at best. It was very disappointing since my car really needed a vacuum. It makes me wonder what else they half-assed.
