My son was driving between Richmond and Cincinnati when his warning lights came on and his car began overheating. He stopped at this Goodyear and was told he needed a new radiator, thermostat and housing for $2800. My husband advised my son to just have them fill it with coolant and see if he could make it back to school. They brought him out to the garage and showed him that is was pouring out of the radiator when they filled it. He left and bought extra coolant for the way back. That was 3 weeks ago another trip to Richmond and a drive home to St. Louis, and there are no leaks or issues since. They saw a college kid with parents out of state and thought they were going to scam him out of thousands of dollars. read more

Windshield Damage and Denied Claims: A Goodyear Experience On February 19th, I brought my 2018 Dodge Ram to the Goodyear Service Center on Richmond Rd in Lexington, KY. I asked for a tire installation, balancing, and an oil change. When I picked up my truck, I saw a horizontal crack in my windshield that spanned its entire width. I immediately informed the store manager, who sent a technician to meet me in the parking lot. The technician stated there was nothing he could do, leaving me in the parking lot holding my invoice. I returned home and immediately contacted Goodyear's corporate office to report the incident. They apologized and explained that the store manager should have inspected the windshield and filed a claim on the spot. Later, I was contacted by Goodyear's claims office, who collected my information, and assured me I would hear back within 48 hours. However, I never received a follow-up from Goodyear's corporate. Instead, the store manager (who was too busy to inspect the damage), called to inform me that my claim was denied. As a marketing professional for over 30 years, I understand the value of accountability and customer care. Unfortunately, based on my experience, it appears that if your vehicle is damaged while in the care of a Goodyear Service Center, you might not receive the responsibility and support you expect. Although my insurance will cover the windshield repair, this incident has significantly diminished my trust in Goodyear, and I will be taking my business elsewhere. read more

Torqued tires to my specs, helped me back out of the parking lot and worked up a good $$ price on those tires. Highly recommend this tire shop. Note: Only thing I see while waiting in your waiting rm is in need of a door chime. To alert you when your customers walk in. Witnessed a customer walk in and wait close to 12 mins. Needed a diagnosis on my breaks! Very pleased with the way Rick(customer service rep) talked with me on the phone! Very nice and friendly. And the same in person when I brought my car in. I also witnessed how professional and courteous he was when interacting with several other customers. Been getting my tires here for years. Today I had a flat tire when I left work. I was able to get some air in it and went straight to Goodyear. The employee basically said I was out of luck. I dropped in, they got me in within a few minutes and had me and fixed and out the door within 10 minutes with my car fixed! I brought my car here after my dealership informed me I needed new brake pads and gave a $1000+ quote to replace pads and rotors. I was delighted when the mechanics here told me I still had plenty of pad left (9 mm) on the front brakes and only needed to replace the rear pads and rotors. They were able to find the pads and rotors I needed in less than an hour and I was out in less than two hours for a fraction of what the dealership wanted. Staff was amiable, kind, and knowledgeable and the waiting area was clean and comfortable. I will definitely be a returning customer. read more

Goodyear's parking lot is mostly empty exempt for employee vehicles and it's no wonder why. The employees are rude and lied about my battery failing a test. Then they told me I had to have a "preferred" battery which was $210. I went up the street to the auto parts store and my battery passed just fine. DON'T GET RIPPED OFF HERE!!! *This is also an Uber Inspection point, they will take your $29.99 and fail your car until you comply with them over charging you. Don't waste your time at this one, move on to another store even if it's a further drive. read more

So, last week woke up to a flat tire on my SUV. Had a compressor at the house so I filled the tire up and prayed I was gonna make it to the nearest tire store. That tire store was GOODYEAR Tire store on Richmond rd. Guy named Devon helped me out. Told him I was in a hurry so he moved a couple things around and got me right in. Nothing sounded better than that at the time. Until 25 min later when he told me I had a screw in my tire and that it was fixed. Literally in and out in 35 min without an appointment. My first trip here after the starter in my 2006 Honda Odyssey went out. The car was dropped off the night before and keys were thrown in the keydrop window. By 11am the next morning it was finished. Frank was the mechanic and did an amazing job. The car is running great and they topped off all the fluids and put air in the tires as well. Shawn, the manager was friendly and helpful, and he even gave us a 10% off military discount. While I don't want to go back soon, if I need to, I'll trust these guys. read more

Discovered that an oil change I paid for back in November was not done. Just randomly checked oil stick this weekend and noticed I was completely out of oil. I'd taken it to Goodyear back in November, 3000 miles ago, for an oil change. I have no leaks whatsoever so I shouldn't be out of oil. Also noticed they didn't top off anti-freeze or windshield wiper fluid. They had no problem up selling me on a brake light and tried to say I needed a new timing belt which I did not.
