I would recommend a different location for any services, as this one seems to be ran by someone who does not care about anything other than himself. Nothing Jiffy about this location and they don't complete the checks they say they do. See for yourself, checked off my filter was "good". Just look at how dirty it was compared to a new one. Power steering fluid was low too, they marked it as fine. Will not return here. read more

Went over on a Friday and was told the person ev conducts the Inspections wasn't there but to come back Monday. Came back Monday and I pulled up and a man wearing dreads stand there with his arm folded not even a greeting or hello. I waited for him to respond as I wasn't there to play childish games but he wanted to play games. I rolled down my window and he still says nothing and I give him my what's going on look and he finally says "what's up?" I explained to him that I was told to come back on Monday to get an inspection for my car. He said the man who did these inspections went home after 2 and I had to come back another day. I asked him was this the policy of Jiffy Lube? He said yea. He lied as I went to another jiffy lube and was told that this store has a horrible reputation and that they where lazy. Shouldn't be surprised by all the consistent negative reviews, still somehow the team can't handle a situation like this properly. The franchise owner should be embarrassed by all these negative reviews AND the scamming they got going on here. HOW the hell do I pay $120 (scamming) for an oil change and leave WITH NO OIL???? Don't know what kinda weed y'all smoking but it's gotta be laced. Oil cap was left on my engine, car smelled like gas, oil filter wasn't changed, fumes in my car and left residue on the interior of my hood. Was told my oil light won't turn off (was never on) (i have pictures of dash lights on before arriving to JL). Warning sign came on to NOT DRIVE and turn car off, was told to just drive it and that they didn't know why it smelled like gas.I paid $120 for them to open my hood and have me sit in their presence for an hour. If you're running a business like this it's embarrassing. The customer service here is trash. As a manager myself, I would and am embarrassed on their behalf. read more

This Jiffy Lube is tucked back on Matthews-Mint Hill Rd (across the street from Carolina Lanes). I went here on a Friday afternoon (mostly as a last resort- but that's a different story in-itself)... but they weren't busy at all. The attendants were all nice. The part I hated was them trying to sell me all these different services when all I needed was an oil change. I was already in a crabby mood since the place I normally go to turned me away (in a sketchy fashion), but I was in and out of this Jiffy Lube in about 20min. The prices for there services are on the "high roller" side, but they did give my car a vacuum and wiped down the windows while the oil was draining out of it. Would I come back? Probably... but they have to do something about their prices to make their services more appealing to the wallet. read more

Had to get my car inspected today and they were super friendly and quick. My sister came here for the same thing a few weeks ago and received the same great service. The guy who took care of our cars was such a gentleman and even discounted some items for the people in front of me! I think his name was Algernon or something similar. I brought my truck here for an oil change. A day later, I noticed an oil spot on my garage floor, so I took it back and apparently the drain plug was not tight. After that was fixed, I noticed ANOTHER oil spot on my garage floor the next morning, so I took it to the dealer and they found the oil filter was not tight. These people were not only rude but went ahead with service they never got approval for. They changed my wiper blades, air filter, cabin filter, and never even asked if I wanted the service done. For my $40 oil change was charged $211 Then i proceeded to get yelled at when I questioned how long it was taking and questioned the bill. There was me and one other person in the shop and 4 workers. I had been waiting for 30 minutes before they finally let me know that they didn't have conventional oil. So I have to pay for the huge mileage oil instead because I had already gone to two other jiffy lube where the wait was one hour. I didn't think I'd be waiting for almost an hour here. How can they be out of conventional oil? I won't come here again, they overcharge so much. read more

I wish I had read the reviews here before going to Jiffy Lube. I have been going there for years while expensive, usually quick. I go so often I buy the service in advance a year at a time. Today I went, the rep asked if I had that service I indicated I did at one point- he confirmed I still had it and I paid the taxes and left. I received a call 8+ hours later that I did not have it and payment was expected. I begrudgingly paid, but I will never go back and you should go somewhere tHisn't this sketchy. Absolutely horrible service. Came in for an oil change and without confronting me, they rotated the tires and did a fuel injection clean! Never spoke to me about this, just did and charged me. When I confronted them after noticing them rotating the tires, I was told that it needed to be done and I was rude for telling them this was not authorized!! Horrible all the way around! read more

The only reason I give 1 star is because you have to give a rating. I hate I took my car to jiffy lube in Matthews NC. First they try to sell you bogus items you really do not need. Second, I had an oil change and inspection they told me I needed wiper blades which my were not torn or showed any signs of wear. They put my hood down and telling me I was ready. I ask to see my oil level. THE STICK WAS DRY. NO OIL AT ALL WAS PLACE BACK INTO MY CAR. If I didn't ask to see my oil level I would have driven off with absolutely no oil and would have to replace an engine. Then guy was driving my car out and hit a trash can. Luckily there wasn't a scratch or anything. One of the guys told the manger what happened, he didn't bother to come and see what the issue was. He was too busy working on his personal car. DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION. Go if you want to replace your car. And thirdly too much oil was put back. Now I have to go to a professional place and have them drain so out. read more

I have had a fleet acount with jiffy lube since 2006. Always got good service and the price was always the same when it was owned by south lube. In 2013 they sold to cisa lube since then it has been nothing but a hassel, the biggest problem is the price is never the same since 2013 the price has been any where from $25.45 to $57.37 for the same service. The last service was 11/27/17 and that will be my final service. For any one reading this you can get an oil change at any dealer for less than jiffy charges and it will be done by a certified mechanic, plus most dealers will do external car wash. read more

I am new to the area and needed routine maintenance on my car. I came to this Jiffy Lube and am so glad I did. Before they did any work they showed and explained to me what they were going to do. The customer service was great, especially Eugene and Porter. They were very busy that day but did not rush me or act impatient. Very disappointed. Prices here have risen beyond good value. When I first drove in an employee mocked me when I took issue with a $40 tire rotation. Should have left then but didn't. Believe I also got overcharged for a N.C. inspection. Stopped using them for too high prices. Decided to give them one last try. I'm never using them again. Wish I could get my money back! I took my wife's car there today. I have been going there for years and the quality of their service has deteriorated markedly. They had several guys scurrying around doing various things on cars in the bays instead of keeping one guy on each car to complete service. They forgot to vacuum one of the other customers cars so I had to wait another 15 minutes to check out after my car was done. They put everyone in the shop on it to make up to that customer while leaving me standing at the desk. No apology fir making me wait. And Jiffy is no longer a good deal. Even with a coupon it cost $40. I can do better at a dealer and I may just change my own oil since I was so disgusted with their antics. The shame of it is that I used to be impressed with their tightly run ship. Not so anymore. read more

Great place for all your car maintenance needs. Customer service is great every time I come here, and I never feel like they're talking down to me (unlike at some other places). They're also super fast, and the waiting room comes complete with coffee and water and tv to make the already minimal wait more bearable. All in all, highly recommended. read more

Took my car here today for an Oil Change. I have been coming here for a long time, as I work close by. All the people here are friendly and I have never had any issues...until today. I know that they are going to try and upsell me something, and I expect that. But today I was told that my battery was extremely low and needed replacing. When I told them that it was a new battery, less than six months old, I was told that this was the average life of a battery and I needed to change it. REALLY!!! I'm not a car mechanic, but it's funny that my new battery came with a 3 year warranty, so why would it only last 6 months. If I have a battery issue, that's one thing, but to tell me batteries only last 6 months is another story. Sorry, but I won't be coming back. Really disappointed in this. read more

After a VERY expensive oil change, my oil pressure is now all over the place! It was spot on before I went to this location and now is running really high most of the time. The manager told me that was by design and it was working correctly. It never did that before and now I have to take it to the dealership to get it fixed before I blow a gasket (literally!). They were nice enough, but when I pay over $100 for and oil change and something goes wrong, I expect them to fix it. I'm not sure if the filter is defective or they put the wrong oil in or what, but the follow up customer service was unacceptable. read more

These guys did an oil change and managed to spill antifreeze all over the belts. They also insisted that my battery was bad. After a quick trip to my Honda dealer, it was confirmed that my battery was fine and Juffy Lube used the wrong setting to gage the battery. I tried to tell the Jiffy staff, but they were not interested. Jiffy Lube insisted they were right. Beware of these guys. You may not need what they offer. They cost me a lot of lost time. The car had a bad odor for a long time from the spilled antifreeze. read more

I went there for an oil change and they stayed with oil change they will vacuum and wash my windows on my truck. They charged me extra labor for adding an additional quart of oil. I was ready to leave and they did not vacuum or clean my windows. I brought it to the manager's attention and she stated that it was her fault because she had to send an email. She proceeded to vacuum my truck and a mechanic sprayed an "S" on my windows that were no rolled down and just wiped the "S" off, not really cleaning them. I complained to the manager and she talked to him and he started to redo the cleaning. He did one window and turned around and looked at me and said, "Is that better." I stated that he should have done it right the first time. He then poured and stated that he was a mechanic not a detailer and walked away. The manager proceeded to try and finish to cleaning the windows and asked me to use my windshield wipers to clean the middle of the windshield. I chuckled and drove away. read more

Although the service was quick and courteous, I was stunned that an oil change was $75. I was given a "ladies day" discount of $10, so it was $65 but that still seems very high. They wiped down my windows and vacuumed the mats, totally unnecessary, and left lots of streaks on the windows. I would have preferred to have lower cost and just had an oil change. I have gone to this specific Jiffy Lube for years. It is a bit pricier, but has always been courteous and fast. I can't go there again, as I just had another mechanic checking something and showed me the oil they'd put in...he estimated it hadn't been changed by them at all! He poured the oil-sludge into a container, and I brought it to Jiffy Lube to show them (it had been 8 weeks since I got it changed). I figured that since they were a little overpriced, they would at least correct the obvious mistake one of their folks had made under the hood. They did nothing! I've been going to Jiffy Lube Matthews for about 6 years and I will never go back. The last few times every time I would go to check out they always seemed to have computer check out issue. Up until the most recent July 2016 it was fixed while I was there, while taking more of my time I understood these things happen. Well it happened again in July only they thought they fixed it while I was there, however after I had been gone for about 30-45 minutes they called me to say my payment transaction didn't go through and they needed me to come back. This was a bit frustrating as I was running Saturday morning errands so I had to double back to take care of this. I received my credit card statement to find that the charges were taken out twice. I get the synthetic oil and at this visit I also needed a new air filter the bill was around 100$. When I called them to tell them they charged me twice their reply was and I quote "you need to come back in with your credit card statement, show us the second charges and we will see what we can do" Seriously you will see what you can do??? They have records that all they had to do was go back to that day and see they charged me twice. Also he could have said , we are sorry that happened if you could come back in we will take care of it and credit your card and the next oil change is on us or coupon for some $ off for my time twice now, once for having to go back when they thought they didn't charge me and then another time to get the credit. Instead I get an attitude and a "we will see what we can do". I called my credit card company and disputed the charges, which of course took more of my time. It concerns me that this wasn't the first time checking out was a problem, it was the last time they will get an opportunity to charge me twice. So word of caution if you use Jiffy Lube Matthews watch your card statement. I wonder how many times they have gotten away with it?....... read more
