Upon getting there, a gentleman approached my car but did not greet me. I said I need a full service, and he says ok give me your keys and exit the vehicle. I said no thanks I'll stay in my car. I drive up, and they don't check my filters, lights, cabin filter... nothing. I inquire about the oil and he assures me it's the correct oil. However, it was poured out of an unmarked reusable plastic container, so it could have been anything. I make a comment on why am I paying for a service when nothing was done. He said nothing and said come back for a free top off. No I will not. I honestly want a refund! read more

The gentleman that greeted me and handled all of the client interaction was polite, friendly and a scam artist. I was in for a routine oil change and he came to the waiting area to show me "my" air filter that was in desperate need of replacing. It was almost black, full of dirt, debris, sticks, leaves etc. After declining the $49 air filter, I went across the street to Advance Auto where the filter was on sale and cost me a whopping $4.37, what a bargain!! I go home to change my filthy filter and lo and behold the one in my car was NOT the one he showed me and was barely dirty. Why cant people just be honest? I'm sure he thought I was a helpless female and would get a few extra bucks out of me - don't fall for their tricks!! read more

I find it quite shocking that a lot of one star reviews are here. I was here earlier today and the experience couldn't have been better. I took my truck in to get oil change and was served promptly. Also, it's almost like being at a subway for cars. You can see what they're doing the whole time. Chris and Takoda (cool name) were very friendly and professional. I'm sure the other guy was as well but we did not interact. It took only about 10-15 minutes and they took my coupon to knock if $15. I will definitely be back for oil changes here read more

BE VERY VERY CAREFUL! Wish I could give zero stars went in here today to get an oil change as they were backed up at the mercedes dealer. I brought in my 2022 mercedes GLC 300 (was $59,000 new) to get a simple oil change today. I was a little concerned when I saw the young person changing my oil as he looked inexperiened but I also know Jiffy Lube is a professional company, so i just trusted them. After my oil change I drove my car a few miles as I had no idea there was white smoke coming out exaust until I looked in rear view mirror a few miles away, i noticed a lot of white smoke and a loud engine noise. It appears they did something really bad like put the wrong oil into this car and now there is some major engine problems. I called them and told them I was coming back, when i arrived the guy who changed my oild said he did notice a lot of white smoke. (WOW THATS VERY NICE ! and he didnt tell me????) I went back and then they rechanged the oil and the filter when they said the wrong oil was put in, In my opinion they never changed the filter and put something very bad in the car, not sure if wrong oil or it was antifreeze or another oil not fit for the car. The color of the exaust is very white smoke (see photo) and I asked a mechanic I know on the phone about this.. he said they may have put wrong oil or antifreeze by accident causing it to blow a gasket. After Jiffy lube changed the oil a second time the white smoke became a little clearer but still it was very white. The management is not taking responsibity and is telling me to tow the car out to a mechanic, they are denying its their fault. This is absolutely crazy, I dont know how much this will cost, but after jiffy lube ran tests they are telling me a cylinder is not firing, the car was perfectly fine before going to this place. Jiffy Lube - Oil Change Stations Near Me - Mechanicsville, Virginia

Had an oil change several weeks ago, checked the oil today and was down a quart (300 miles since oil change). Took car to local mechanic to put it on the lift. Oil was leaking from the drain plug. When they changed the oil, they must have lost the rubber gasket and decided it was okay to put a metal washer in its place. I will have to pay for another oil change (full synthetic). Luckily for me I found this issue before it was too late. Yes, you guessed it, I will NEVER go back to this place EVER! Oh ya, the guy running the place told me my car was a piece of crap to boot (2018 Hyundai). Wish I knew who owned this place, he would be hearing from me. Just got a phone call from my mechanic, there is more damage, when the person tightened the drain plug beyond the breaking point, yes, you guessed it! he broke the oil pan. The a/c needs to be dropped to install a new pan, can't wait to see how much this will cost. Talk about fubar, these people suck big time. I change the star to -50 read more

Hate this place!! I went in for a standard oil change and left with a Broken glove compartment and no cabin air filter. The employee took my cabin air filter and threw it in the trash. The employee then came in telling me I needed to replace it. I told them no I could do it myself. The employee stated they already threw it away. I told them to get it out of the trash and put it back in. When I was getting ready to pull out, I noticed my glove compartment fell all the way to the seat. Evidently when they went to get my cabin air filter out, they broke it. I complained and the manager stated they were not responsible. I will never go back there. Manager was yelling at employees the whole time I was there. Upsell, upsell, upsell...told him all I wanted was a basic oil change, but he kept pushing. 3rd time there, they never wash the windows and vacuum as advertised. He told me he adjusted the tires to 32 psi, but my tire was low when I showed up and low when I left. I'm done with this place. I've looked all these reviews and I have never had a problem with the people at Jiffy Lube in Mechanicsville. So far they have replaced breaks and done about 15 oil changes for me. Ive used a coupon almost everytime and they never gave me any problems with it. I'm sure they have had bad days and I know every company wants their employees to upsell, and all you have to do is give it to them straight. Keep up the good work Jiffy Lube hold your head up high, not everyone thinks that you are bad!!!! read more

Wow! I pulled up and asked the attendant the price of an oil change for my 2014 Silverado and the cost he quoted was 69.95 plus $6 per quart over 5 quarts so I agreed and pulled in. A few minutes later the manager called me into his office for a "cost consultation". I immediately sensed a scam and sure enough, I was right. Turned out he wanted 129.95 to do a standard oil change! I refused and left. I went to a competitor and got it for 88.32 --tax included--out the door. My advice--stay away from these jerks! read more

About 3-4 weeks ago, I took my car to Jiffy Lube (7002 Mechanicsville Turnpike, Mechanicsville, VA 23111) to get my rear calipers changed. I specifically mentioned calipers because, prior to, I had Good Year inspect my car due to my brake light coming on, and they concluded brake fluid was leaking. So, I ended up taking the car to Jiffy Lube and told them the situation and ended up getting my calipers changed. Fast forward to a couple of days ago, I take my car in to Grease Monkey, for my pads and rotors, and they show me that my rear calipers are leaking fluid, which has caused my rims to melt a bit - the same thing that Good Year told me. I told them that Jiffy Lube had just changed my calipers. So, Grease Monkey did me a sold by calling Jiffy Lube and confirming if I had my calipers changed and letting them know my situation. Jiffy Lube did in fact confirm that they changed my calipers, and to my knowledge, it was understood that I would be taking my car back to Jiffy Lube. Upon taking my car back, I decided to call Jiffy Lube to let them know that I was on my way. The manager was the person I spoke to, and he proceeded to tell me that they changed my calipers but made it seem like there was nothing else they were responsible for - that they did their job. I told him that I brought my car to them because my rear calipers were leaking fluid, causing my brake light to come on. Fast forward in the conversation, he told me that I should take my car in to get a diagnosis to see what the issue, and I told him that is why I took my car in to Jiffy Lube - to diagnose and fix the problem - if two separate auto shops come up with the same diagnosis, how come you can't come up with that same diagnosis? He said that they didn't see a leak, so I asked him why change my calipers to begin with. He said because I told them to. If there was no problem, why would I tell you to change my calipers? I don't like to spend money just to spend money. So, I drove past another Jiffy Lube and told them my situation, and they did a quick eyeball test and said that it looked like my front calipers were replaced but not my rear calipers - they couldn't do anything about it because the Jiffy Lube in Mechanicsville is independently owned, otherwise they would have taken care of it. Why is good, reputable service hard to find? I normally go to Grease Monkey or Valvoline for service but decided to give Jiffy Lube and have regretted that decision every since. read more

Love this location. I have only received an oil change here, but they have quick and friendly service every time I go in. Manager and employees are always polite and professional. The waiting room and bathroom are always clean, free coffee and wifi as well. They will make recommendations if they see anything, but nothing is forced on you. I am curious why is it that every time i think about going to Jifffy Lube i always have a problem? I have tried 3 different locations and after my experience at the one in Mechanicsville, VA i feel to campaign against anyone using Jiffy Lube. I received a coupon in the mail and expected to receive an oil change for the price on the coupon. I pull up and they put me in the office and start working on my car before asking me or telling me anything. He finally comes in, i am the only customer by the way, and says that it will be $66 for an oil change. I showed him the coupon that said it was 39.99 minus 12. He said he had to go speak to his manager. His manager was right on the other side of the window. He came back and said that gm recommended a certain blend and that was why the cost was so high. I told him i wanted a basic oil change that was on the coupon. Again back to the manager and came back and said they could do it but not warranty the work. He said the cost would still be over 50. I again told him i wanted the 39.99 minus 12 from the coupon. He said that is for penzoil oil and they dont carry that for my car. Then he said i have a 5.5 quart and coupon is for 5 so i have to pay $9 more for a quart. I said it was half a quart and he said then it would be $5. It seems like its all about the money and not the customer. If you are going to send out a coupon to get people in then honor it. Not once did the manager come from the other side of the window to speak with me even though he knew i was upset. I told them to stop the service and i went elsewhere to get oil change. I will never go to Jiffy Lube again and wantes to share with you why. read more

I wish I could give zero stars. I went in this morning for a headlight replacement and the employee looked at my vehicle for 2 seconds and stated I had HID lights and it would cost over $100. In disbelief I left and did some research. Turns out my car does not use HID lights and I was able to go to Advance Auto and obtain the part for $23. I installed it myself and life went on. I didn't appreciate how the employee at Jiffy Lube clearly lied and was too lazy to see what kind of part my car required. Pathetic and lazy. read more

I purchased an expensive cabin air filter for my car, and my real mechanic found it folded in half. Also, a car over 100K should not suddenly switch to synthetic oil, also per my real mechanic. Up until my last visit a few weeks ago, service was good and work was done quickly. Unfortunately that changed drastically with the last visit. While there, the manager got involved with a loud altercation with an employee who was "mouthing off" and had to be sent home. I chose to overlook this very visible and uncomfortable encounter in earshot of customers, as everyone has a bad day. The real problem started after I left. The engine seemed louder and was running rougher on the homebound trip. I chalked it up to bad fuel or an exhaust problem and decided to have it looked at by a dealership when convenient. After several weeks, the problem had gotten worse, and when I had a dealership look at the vehicle, I was told the air filter had never been put back in! The result, a $230 bill for repairs/ engine cleaning/ idle reset because a Jiffy Lube employee did not remember to replace the filter ( pretty inexcusable mistake). In any event, that will be my last visit to this Mechanicsville establishment. read more
