ALERT! ALERT! I went in for an oil change and now have missing parts from inside the oil cooler. They put springs inside the filter housing to cover up losing my parts. And they put stress fractures in the plastic oil filter cap from not using a torque wrench to tighten it back. This was my second visit to this Jiffy Lube. Previously, I went to a different location and was not thrilled with those experiences. I have found the staff here to be very professional and thorough. Took my truck in for an oil change. Told them I was going to walk next door and pick up dog food while they did it. Came back 20 min later and it was done. No receipt of work completed, and they didn't top off windshield fluid. Checking psi and everything else to make sure they did their job. read more

I'm working from out of town and had some work done on my a-arms last week from les Schwab in Salem, the jiffy crew let me know I was missing a bolt that could have been a bad accident. I went to the closest Les Schwab to have them fix my trucks issue. I returned to jiffy lube later and found that it was poorly fixed. I will be returning to salem next week and having a very long conversation with Les Schwab. Id like to thank the jiffy lube crew for potentially saving my life. read more

If I could give less than one star I would. Went in last week for a simple oil change. I asked him specifically to check all the fluids including the transmission fluid. They told me everything was full, including the transmission a couple days later I hear some sounds from the transmission. I take to my mechanic who informs me that the transmission fluid is two quarts low. I would avoid this place like the plague. read more

Jiffy Lube on Boones Ferry did an oil change and did not put oil in my car which damaged my engine. I trusted they had put oil as that is what I went there to do. One week later I found out at a mechanic that there was no oil at all. When I called them to tell them they did not put oil in my car, they called me a liar. read more

I went here for the second time , first time decent service, not this time. Hang on to your wallet. Some manager from Gresham was at this location and I had an online coupon. He kept telling me I needed to pay extra for the same services I was not up charged for on the previous visit. I was prepared to get work done beyond just the oil change. I quickly changed my mind. After coming home from visiting this Jiffy Lube and having them check my tire pressure I noticed that my back tire was flat. The tire was examined by Les Schwab and I was informed that the valve was not correctly sealed and the air has slowly leaked out. When I called Jiffy Lube the general manager, Henry, became very defensive and said that he could t trust that I wasn't lying about what happened to my tire. Do not go here. The people that work at this Jiffy Lube are THE definition of lazy. When I went to them yesterday I pulled up to the garage and they told me it would be at least 45 mins even though there was only two cars in the bays. I could tell they were almost done so I ended up waiting and what do you know, I only waited about 5 mins. I went in for a oil change and asked if they had any coupons and they told me to look them up myself acting as if he didn't know. Never had to do this before, they have always applied them when I asked. The guy servicing me interrupted me half way through reading the code because he knew which one it was. Came back today to get my blinker light replaced at 5:55. Super easy to do. Pulled up, open signs everywhere, website says open, and called before hand, and a guy comes out and asked me what I'd like done. I tell him I'd like my blinker replaced and he says there closing up and the till is closed so he can't help me. At this point I asked him to just sell me a bulb and I could just do it myself and he said "sorry I can't, my tills closed." I pointed out the open signs and that the website says they are open till 6:30pm. He just points to the door and says we close at 6. Even if they did, it wasn't 6... He then proceeded to say the wind blew the closed signs on all three doors to open even though all the bay doors were closed . I don't understand why the owner chooses to employ such lousy workers. None of the employees here care about their jobs and would rather just get paid to stand around and twiddle their thumbs. Literally all of them were just standing around on there phones when I pulled up. Some of the worst customer service Iv ever experienced. Will definitely never go back to this location and would advise anyone else to never go here. read more

I chose to get smog checked and get my registration completed here at the same time they were changing my oil. It was very easy and I just loved not having to wait in line! I came in 20 minutes before they were closing and was told I was the last car. I asked for the "Signature Service" which includes vacuum and window washing. They were closing up getting ready to clock out as I was called from the waiting room. I asked why the vacuum and window washing wasn't performed and the guy looked at me perplexed. I had the absolute worst experience today at this jiffy lube especially with the lead manager Travis.he treated me horribly like I was an idiot blonde female, please don't send any of your wives or daughters to this place. It was the most horrific experience I've had in many many years. Travis lied to me twice about the fact his employee spilled oil all over my engine. It was smoking without even the engine being on. This gave me massive concern and he continued to tell me that it was only water and steam coming off the engine. This was a lie. I watched everything they did as I sat in the car. He also was only wearing his mask over his mouth which we all know is incorrect. The only redeeming quality about the place was the young man Nicholas who went above and beyond to try to calm me down after I made it clear I was worried my car would catch on fire. I drove into the place with a non-smoking car and left with one. That is not right and I certainly didn't appreciate the manager lying to me and making me feel like an idiot. He needs to be fired. I had a terrible experience here. They didn't close my oil drain after changing my oil and I had oil all over my driveway. I took it back in and they fixed the issue and poured to much oil into my can and now my car it over heating. read more

As always. I am greeted with a smile. The attendant always walk you through the bay, avoiding all the safety hazards, telling you of all the cool things they have while you wait. The waiting room has Chairs, TV, Bathroom, Drinks like Coffee and Tea for free. I'm not sure why they have all these amendments as will not be here that long. The reason this has a star is because you have to select one to post. To bad they don't have minus stars. I had the worst customer service I have ever had with Jiffy Lube today. I have been a customer for over 30 years in the Milwaukie and Salem area. I pulled in this morning and was the 3rd car to pull in, so this young man told me it would be about 20 minutes until they got to me. I said fine and decided to leave my car in line and step away for a coffe in front of the station. Came back and sat outside waiting patiently for my turn. An 9lder gentleman came out and told me to pull my car in, so I did. While I was doing so a mini van pulled into line. Shortly after I pulled in the mini van pulled in and the guy walked over to the technician and started talking, first bumped and handed the technician something. Right after that the technician told the guy in the pit that bay to was before bay 3. Mind you I'm the car in bay 3. I asked the technician if I was the car in bay 3 and he stated yes, he was here first. I then asked the technician to guide me out to leave. He stated, "that's your choice". I rolled into the McLoughlin location last Friday morning, hoping to have my oil changed and tires checked before a trip to the beach. The three bays were full, so I knew I would have to wait. The fellow who greeted me was courteous enough and I took a seat in the lobby. What the guys working there DIDN'T know was that I have a friend who operates the #1 Jiffy Lube franchise AND single location right here in Portland OR. I know what is supposed to happen, I know how they generate profit, I know "the deal". Well, I sat there for about 25 minutes, watching the staff move at what seemed like a less than efficient pace. A young woman with a Dooney Burke bag and a BMW (albeit with a reconstructed title) was hit with a $180 estimate, that she truly believed she had to pay to get her car out of the bay. Another gentleman had his full sized truck in there, and the boys weren't able to get the tire pressure right - which took them at least twice as long to service that vehicle. The leader, with his annoying sunglasses (no sun that day son, so what are you hiding), barked at the third man - who is a structural engineer, not some third class citizen - to "come with me". It was so rude, I actually felt offended FOR the customer. I poked my head in at the 28 minute mark, having had nearly all I could take, and could see that my vehicle hadn't been touched. I've had nothing but negative experiences with this Jiffy Lube--which sucks because I used to like Jiffy Lube. The staff there are painfully slow. ALWAYS. They just don't seem to care about hustling. There was no one in front of me yet it took over 40 minutes for an oil change? I told the guy I wanted the $19.99 service but at check out time he tells me it's $25. I told him no, that's not what I asked for and he gave me a discount --acting like it was a hardship. Um, I asked for the $19.99 service, not the $25. Also, they have since changed their policies, apparently, and don't include things like topping off wiper fluid. I got half way home when I realized they didn't fill it I went back. I was told it's no longer included. Why wasn't I told before hand? Such AWFUL service. I will never go back. It's worth spending the extra money to go somewhere else. read more

Arrived in the rear of the store with an employee walking to a parked car with an unlit cigarette in his hand. Pulled up to one of the three closed bay doors. No one came out to greet me which was unusual as I have frequented this Location many times. Employee with the cigarette who is obviously disgruntled throws open the man door and proceeds inside. He began waving his arm demonstratively as I can only guess was the disturbance of his smoke break. He did not open the bay door for a minute or two so I left. First off I swore off Jiffy Lube after my last experience in Oregon City but thought I would give them another chance at a location I had better experience with, in the past. I know the up sale is one of the things we all expect, but this is getting out of control. I had just bought a used car and told them that I was just looking for an oil change. They tried to sell me an engine flush citing that its recommended every other oil change (the dealership said this was BS and its only done if there is contamination in the engine like sludge). They tried to sell me a fuel filter even though its clearly visible on my Subaru and looked very new. They did point out my belts, they need to be replaced I already knew that and had planned to do that myself. They tried to sell me a transmission fluid service statin that its supposed to be done every 15,000 miles (being a former fleet maintenance mechanic I doubted this and the dealer recommended every 30,000). They recommended my air filter that was laying on the table be replaced, it looked fairly new and no where close to needing replaced yet. They told me my radiator cap needed replaced and I needed coolant topped off, then offered to sell me one for 16.99 then cut me a deal for 13.99, they sell for under 10.00 at the local auto parts store. The icing on the cake is when they told me my wiper blades needed to be replaced, I paused then told the pushy salesman that I had just replaced them the night before, then asked sarcastically if they had already worn out overnight. I am knowledgeable in automotive maintenance and so I go into this from a point of knowing more than the kids changing my oil, but not all are as lucky. I talked to a woman in the waiting room and they had sold her a bunch of unneeded services, I think I seen her bill while checking out and it was over $230.00 that's almost criminal. After all their attempted up sale and failure they did dink me an extra $2.00 for having an all wheel drive vehicle. After this my next oil change will be with the Subaru dealership since its only about $5.00 more to have them do it. Avoid Jiffy Lube or go in and stick to a basic oil change and don't give into their high pressure rip off, I mean sales tactics PS I also plan to contact the local news people to see if they will run a story on how these guys prey upon people who trust them. read more

I've been to a few Jiffy Lubes throughout the Portland metro area, and the service I've gotten from this one over the past couple times I've been in has been great! Experiences at other Jiffy Lubes have me jaded at times. A 19.99 oil change is never just that because they're always pushing more stuff on you. I went in with a twenty dollar bill to another location and ended up spending over 200. Here though, I've had employees that don't want to cheat me, and they aren't just going through the employee handbook either. These guys know about cars, and they treat your car as if it was their own. My latest trip, the employee that helped me told me straight up what he thought I should do and what I could wait on. I spent more than the $20 minimum this time around, but I didn't regret it. I really felt like I was getting good, honest service from the mechanics. If you go for the signature service, you can stop in anytime between oil changes and get a fill up on fluids and tire pressure. read more

I received the regular oil change for the price of $19.99. I haven't had any problems but they offer recommendations even though they don't check the fluids. For example they said I needed my coolant flush because I'm passed 90,000 miles but I perform the service myself didn't check the coolant quality. My recommendation would be to receive a normal oil change and go elsewhere for other maintenance on your vehicle always make sure to get a second opinion to receive the best price as well. Place is never busy, and now I know why. I pulled up to an open bay and the guy casually sweeping inside barely gave me a look. No greeting or direction. I started to pull my car into the bay slowly and he yelled, "WHOOOA!!! STOP RIGHT THERE!!!" I stopped. He stuck his head inside my car like he was a cop or something and sternly said, "How can I help you today!?" Again, it felt like I had been pulled over for speeding. Went in for the basic $19.99. Then he showed me all the extra checks I could get with the $49 "Signature" service. So I went for it, but the strange thing is, they only kept the truck in the bay for about 10 minutes total. I was thinking even a basic oil change would have taken at least 10 minutes as well. When I came to pay, the manager came over and check the paperwork with his employee, and muttered "Too much time on the vehicle." Shocked, I said, "I paid $50 and you're complaining that 10 minutes is too much time?? You trying to squeeze blood out of a turnip?" That pissed me off, plus the usual trying to upsell: brake fluid drain/refill, radiator drain/flush, front differential fluid change, etc, etc. Which of course all I turned down. This is the review that I dread having to make. I have had the worst luck with vehicles lately and just purchased a pre-owned Kia Sportage. I felt the safest thing to do with my new-to-me car was to take is to have the oil changed. The gentlemen at the McGloughlin, Milwaukie location got me right in and had my oil change done within 30 minutes at a reasonable rate and without trying to sell me a bunch of stuff I didn't need. After paying, I went out to the car which is, again, very new to me, and tried to start it. To my dismay, it made a horrible grinding noise. Afraid to make something worse, I thought that I might ask them what they thought it might be and found all 4 employees came out to assist me. I was nearly distraught, I'd had so many issues with my previous vehicle I was just so used to having one issue after another! I explained that it wouldn't start but made a grinding noise when I tried to start it. The technician turned it off and restarted it right up! At this point the nicest gentleman to my right said "oh, sweetie, it's runs so quietly that you didn't realize it was already running." And suddenly, I could feel how deeply blonde my roots are! I felt absolutely ridiculous because my panic was unmerited and I must have looked like a crazy woman to them but these four gentlemen were so kind and consoling and professional. Honestly, if they went back in that shop and laughed at me I wouldn't blame them! Once I realized what I had done, I laughed at myself! If they would have me back, I will take my new car to this location Jiffy Lube in the future as I am very impressed with their patience, kindness and professionalism and next visit, I'm bringing the donuts. read more

honestly the fact that this place has 2.5 stars is astonishing to me. came to get my tires checked/air put in ONE tire. when we arrived some guy came to tell us someone would be with us shortly...no one came :) then someone else pulled up and they greeted her immediately and took note of what she needed. we called him out and mentioned we were there first and what we needed was quick. he told us to pull up on the side of the building, said he was going to get the tire gage and literally forgot about us. after 10 additional minutes of waiting we pulled in again and someone eventually helped us. the original guy who said he "would be right back" was servicing another car. every other jiffy lube i've ever been to in my life has serviced air in my tires immediately since it's something so quick and simple. never has it taken 30 min. would not recommend! if i could give zero stars i would read more
