The problem they were going to have to deal with is that we had a wonderful pitbull who we used to take everywhere with us, before we lost her at the beginning of the year. Her tiny hairs were EVERYWHERE in the carpet, and VERY hard to get out - trust me, I tried! They charged slightly more due to the amount of dog hair, which was completely fair, so I said go for it. They said it would look as good as new, but of course I thought that was a lofty goal... Oh my gosh, we were SHOCKED at how amazing it looks! The carpet looks as good as when it was new (maybe better)! I would never have believed this was possible, but we could not be more pleased! They worked on it for over 8 hours! The price was more than fair, and to say they exceeded our expectations would be an understatement! If you want your car to look its absolute best, we could not recommend E&N more enthusiastically!

I skeptically thought to myself, "Yeah, I've heard those words from repair shops before", only to find out, 'that's not covered under your warranty.' Well I am elated to report that's NOT the case at E&N. Twice I have been back with issues that I was not certain were related to the prior repair work and both times it was fixed, NO CHARGE, as it was covered by the repair warranty. I also added a comprehensive exam (which they offered at a discounted rate) for them to look at my car as a whole and to let me know what things might need repair now and in the near future. They were able to see my car within a week of me reaching out for an appt, and they only kept my car for ~5 hours. They tried everything they could to find the source of my leak, but when they couldn't, they referred me to Liberty Water Leak, who was fantastic and found the sources of my leak and water damage within a few hours. With the comprehensive exam, they listed each item that needed repair and were not pushy AT ALL. They also answered all of my questions, yes... even the dumb ones. There was an oversight where my wiper cowlings were not installed correctly, so I did leave an honest review on SureCritic saying that I wasn't sure if I'd trust them with further repairs due to that mistake. Within a week of posting that review, the shop called me to apologize and discuss what happened. On top of that, they refunded me my entire bill. I understand now why Tom Dwyer Auto has such good reviews-- They genuinely care about their customers and producing quality work. I am grateful to have been treated with respect, not taken advantage of as a female, and for their determination to correct the mistakes made. Thank you again!

Short version: Over…read morea seven year period, Martin missed one issue, the motor and transmission mounts. That was the only thing he missed in 7 years. He caught the rest, and he didn't break my car. He likes to repair cars. I can't say the rest for the Portland area. I hope the next one can finally finish the oil pan. Still have my Honda though. 125 K and not going anywhere. I've meant to leave this review since I met Martin when he opened his shop outside of his home. He is now on Johnson Creek Blvd. I liked him, because he was polite, to the point, and didn't waste my money. Other mechanics shamed me for use of aftermarket, and he told me that was bs and to save for real repair, of which there are plenty. He was correct. Over the years, I had many things done on my Honda. Beats buying a new car. I love my 1999 Honda Accord DX. He always fixed my car, and he never caused damage. I can't say that for other mechanics in Portland. Unfortunately, the pandemic caused issues for me and for Martin. In October of 2020, I heard this odd noise in the car. He looked it over and did an oil change. Nothing was wrong. He looked again upon request and the lower ball joints were done along with the drive belts. Maintenance stuff. The noise persisted, and he really doesn't like replacing parts, and he's right about not replacing btw. After we talked, and I was sick and very panicked from the virus, he agreed that it could be the shocks/struts and would do that, and the timing belt, which was 11 years old. We sort of lost sight of that, but he did examine it regularly. I never had an issue. I left but didn't want to have the work done there, because I felt like he didn't think it was the issue. I regret that moment of taking it to another place. They didn't hear it either and they damaged my car in a few ways when they did the timing belt, shocks, and struts. Martin ended up fixing their mess. The noise persisted, and he couldn't hear it. I took it to another place, and they found the issue. It was the engine mounts and the transition mount. They installed high-quality, aftermarket, but also, damaged the car. It vibrated like mad, leaked coolant, and accelerator pedal was stuck. I went back to Martin, and he said there was no noise. He had the car a few times for days to try to hear it. He never did. The last time, I came in and he said he would do an inspection. I hadn't realized that meant full paid inspection. Had I known, I wouldn't have done it that day. He found a leak but didn't hear or feel the vibration, which was obvious to me. It was $50 to fix the leak. I said "no." I had been allowed to decide on repairs. I was at a point where I had spent over $3K and it was still shaking. My 22-year-old was not comfortable in the car she had loved. Then, Martin told me I'd have to pay him about $150 (not sure) for the check. I told him that I wasn't going to pay him, and he told me that was fine, that I could pick up the car, and not return. I actually am not judging. I wish I had allowed him to fix the leak and just waited. He would have heard the noise eventually. I think we both had issues at this time. A perfect storm situaion. Perhaps, Hondas of this age sound noisy a lot. I couldn't drive it due to my inner ear issues though. I took it to another place and it has been fixed. OEM Honda mounts and that was the issue from the beginning. I won't add to the story. There is more. I will say that I wish I could go back and just wait until the noise became a little louder. I heard sliding of the engine and the thunk on start up, but I just needed to wait or record it. Hard to do. Martin is a very good mechanic, who doesn't waste your money. I don't know why he missed it this once, but I have known him since about 2013, and he's the only one I can recommend in Portland. That's true even if I am not able to be a client any longer. I don't blame myself, but I wish we could have worked it out. I would have loved to have him fix the car. He has a lot of talent. Just try to communicate clearly and keep track of your maintenance schedule (there are a lot of car types). If he says no, make sure to explain before you go elsewhere and be patient if you aren't scared. I was afraid in my car. The pandemic made it worse. A As far as his work, it is typically 5-star. I wanted to explain why I rated the way I did even when I had issues the last time.

It is RIDICULOUS how much this establishment tries to squeeze money out of every possible customer. A normal wire replacement shouldn't cost $300! It's absurd! They change their names A WHOLE LOT. Town Center Automotive,…read moreTC Transmission, Tri County Transmission, Portland Import Transmission, Discount Auto Brokers, TIR Enterprises, Modern Motion Auto Sales. These are all the same place. Want to know why? Because changing their name is one of the tricks they use to escape their bad reputation. If you have the same experience I did (many have) and if you try to research them, then you will find out that this repair shop is one of 12 shops that get the most consumer complaints in our three-state region. So check the BBB, check the owners, and signers for the businesses. And CALL the State Attorney General's office- so that you can be sure to ask about each business name and all of the complaints that don't show up online after they age or the customer was too exasperated to continue complaining, so they are considered "resolved". These crooks fake the system. And they write fake reviews for themselves. I found out that a lot of people went through my exact same experience. I've received messages from others saying that they went through the same thing "word for word": I paid thousands for a joke. After waiting FOREVER, Weedman declared the car was repaired, and then it failed. And in between these failures, he would hold my car hostage. For months!! Each time I called to ask if the repair was done, he would tell me an excuse that turned out to be a lie, then he would tell me to call back later, and when I did, I got more of the same, only *HE* would get mad at *ME* for calling to ask! How mentally cracked do you have to be to get upset with the customer that asks for their own vehicle and for their paid-in-full repair, after all the weeks and months you've blown them off? So after months of this I got my car back. Had it for just a few days before I found out that it was unsafe and not drivable, and it stranded me. This happened TWICE. The looooong wait, the weird mad attitude from Weedman, and the failed (*cough*) "repair". When I got the repair completed through a shop with high and consistent ratings, they told me that Weedman did the work BACKWARDS, then he "makeshifted" it- to get it to temporarily work. But they said that no matter how you slapdash it- the repair would always fail after a short amount of driving, and that Weedman's mistakes had RUINED THE PARTS. So the parts had to be replaced. Again. Just... really dig into your research on these clowns, okay? Repairs are expensive and you don't want to get hurt like this. Do your homework, and you will find the same things that I found: If their reputation seems good on the surface, then dig a little deeper, and you'll find that that they are hiding their black ratings just as much as they hide their incompetence and damage.
