I intentionally came to this one because the one on Coleman Boulevard either doesn't have an operational grease gun or doesn't have The correct oil For diesel . This place is a terrible rip-off. Avoid - should have listened to my Yelp bretheren and stayed away. Bottom line: I paid them $80 for an oil change that would have cost me $35 at a Toyota dealer. I had my wife's car, was in a rush and the oil change was past due, so I stopped in. Very helpful and happy staff. They convinced me my wife's car needed synthetic oil. I opted for it, again, in a hurry and was past due. They tried to sell me new air filters to replaced what looked like air filters in pretty good shape, but I declined. They completed it quickly enough and I was on my way. After I was gone I was wondering, so called the Toyota dealer and found out: it doesn't need synthetic oil and the oil change there would've been $35, not $80. I fell for it - don't you! read more

I went to jiffy lube to get an oil change, I was quoted $49 and was told I was entitled to a $ 15.50 discount. I scarcely made into the office when Tim approached me and told me I should spend an extra $18 and get a better oil. I told him that wasn't interested in anything extra.. after I sat down Tim badgered me to get a better oil change costing $88 . He went so far as to tell me that a cheap oil change would ruin my engine , he further assured me that he would take $ 20 off the job. i'm a widow and he found records of my husband getting an oil change there months before he died and he said my husband choose the more expensive job. I told him that would never happen . at this point in time my gut told me to get up and leave but I was planning a long trip and I was under a time restraint. When I got home I realized that they had written on my receipt that they found a bad plug and I refused to replace it. When I called Tim he said he told me about it and I said no. This location takes the cake for the slowest oil changes in the low country. I usually arrive right as they open and despite being one of the first cars there (there are two bays), oil changes typically take about an hour or more to perform. Compare this to other locations where it can be 20 minutes or so. On top of this, this location seeks to upsell on products or services that aren't needed. I've taken my cars to Jiffy Lube locations for years and have never needed synthetic oil and it is not required by the manufacturer of either of my family's cars (per the owner's manual). When brought here, I'm told both cars require synthetic and not conventional. This makes me very wary​ of trusting them since they are stating something that is patently false. Additionally, their prices are not in line with other Jiffy Lube locations-- they are much more expensive. I use a conventional oil and have been charged much more than anywhere else for the same service. Bottom line, I drive out of my way by 10 miles to West Ashley and still save time (and money) by going to their location there. Trust your fellow Yelpers and their reviews here. read more

Stay far, far away from Juffy Lbe Summerville Main Street. THIS IS MY INTERACTION WITH JUFFYLUBE CORPORATE: (ME). Nov 17. A few months ago, our 18 year old daughter stopped into Jiffy Lube in Summerville, SC for an oil change. When the car was ready, I noticed something under the front of the car and asked the technician what it was. Without even looking, he said, "Oh. It's a beach". I asked him, "If it was a branch and you knew it, why didn't you remove it while you were under the car"? He informed me it was his job and walked away. We paid and left. As we are driving away, I looked at the checklist. Every service was checked off. Vacuuming, windows cleaned, etc. Not one single thing on the list had been done!! Drove home. A couple of days later, we were in a grocery parking lot. Car started, but wouldn't stay running. AAA had to tow the vehicle to our mechanic. Two days and $180 later we find out the "beach" was part of the wiring - obviously pulled loose during the oil change - it was directly beneath the filter. 6/9/19 update - went to NTB a few miles away. Charged 25% less at $61 with a much better customer experience. I have visited this location for years with mixed results. I pay someone to do this work so I don't have to. They have always tried to sell me air filters when I don't need them. Brushed that off because they are trying to sell and I replace them myself. When it came time to change my engine and cabin filters, I found these guys did not reassemble what they took apart under the hood and put my cabin filter back in backwards. Who knows how long that has been backwards. I chalk this up to them being unhappy in their jobs as I came in to discuss and get an oil change today. I was greeted rudely and they weren't busy. I never got to where I wanted to talk to them about the problem, told them never mind, and left. I will never use them or Jiffy Lube again. Extremely unprofessional. Actually damaged my vehicle and sent me off with no paperwork without telling me that anything was damaged. Would not recommend. Full story below... I was traveling through the area to see the total solar eclipse and needed an oil change. I stopped at this Jiffy Lube on Johnnie Dodds Blvd on my way into Charleston. I drive an ordinary 2015 Mazda 6 and figured it would be a quick and easy. I was so very wrong. It seemed to be taking quite a long time and I was getting annoyed because I was in a bit of a rush. Then one of the employees came over to me in the waiting area and said they would not be able to change my oil today because they didn't have or couldn't find the right tool. This was a bit odd because it's just a normal car and not anything special. Because they didn't actually do anything other than add a little radiator coolant, they sent me off without charging me or even giving me paperwork. That should've been a red flag right there. I went to a nearby Valvoline the next day and within a minute of pulling in they told me that my drain plug had been damaged to the point where they wouldn't be able to get it off, most likely from an attempt using the wrong size tool. I had to wait until I drove 1,000 miles home to my local Mazda dealership to have them fix it. I emailed Jiffy Lube a couple days later and heard from the corporate customer service that they contacted this Jiffy Lube and they would get back to me. It has now been over a month and I have still not been contacted. Not that there is anything they can do about it now... read more

Do not take your car to this or any other Jiffy Lube location. I had my car serviced at the Myrtle Beach location , did a sloppy job I lost 2 quarts of oil the day after my oil change, brought into The Mount Pleasant location and they said I needed to drive it back to Myrtle Beach to be serviced. Ridiculous! I escalated it to the local district manager who also wiped his hands of everything. Each of these locations are franchised and do sloppy work. go look online, one lady said her engine seized because of sloppy work. They also did a coolant flush and the coolant fluid is all over my brand new engine. I now take my car to a trusted mechanic who does oil changes. Save yourself the headache and don't go to jiffy lube for the convenience you'll be sorry. read more

Jiffy Lube has always been expensive, especially with add on items like air filters, however up until my latest experience their service has been reliable. Last visit the sold my wife a cabin air filter which she really did not want knowing I usually do those myself. The filter was outrageously expensive, $30 even after a $10 discount, was one of the cheapest filter of it's type I have ever seen, typically way less than $10. The real disappointment came when I checked the filter for replacement some time later and found that I was the wrong part, much smaller that what was required for my Honda Pilot, so air could flow around the filter rather than through it, and it was installed UP SIDE DOWN. I will NOT DO BUSINESS with such and incompetent and perhaps dishonest shop again. read more

Super slow. They didn't change my blinker light after they asked me if I wanted them to because they were too backed up. I pulled away and a sensor started beeping letting me know my hood was up. They didn't wash my windshield like I watched them do to all of the other cars. The guy who I checked out with asked me the same questions repetitively. They got my name wrong. It just wasn't a good experience. Almost forgot to mention the price...$83.16. That was for a "high mileage signature service, (6 quarts of oil) and an oil and air filter disposal. This is a horrible jiffy lube! I will never go back. I drove up and the 2 employees were standing outside smoking. The guy came over to see what I needed. I told him I needed an oil change. There were no cars there. He told me it would at least be 25-30 mins before they could get to my car. I then asked him why? He said because we are on a break and we have 25-30 more mins left on our break. I said no thanks. I'll go somewhere else. He said ok and walked back over and lit another cigarette. I couldn't believe it. I then went to the Coleman jiffy lube and they were awesome! They changed my oil within 15 mins, they were so nice and that will be the one I go to from now on. I only gave 1 star because I had to. If I could've I wouldn't have given any stars because they don't deserve one star. Not sure how you run a business like this. read more

Had an excellent experience this morning at Jiffy Lube on Colman Blvd. From start to finish nothing but kindness and professionalism. Brett who checked me in was so friendly and polite, Kevin and Shawn took care of all I needed done and Darrell made sure I knew all of my options without making me feel like I had to have things done that were not needed. Took my wife's Yukon here for an oil change in April. The next day I looked down at the driveway (we live in a house with a freshly poured concrete driveway) and noticed leaking oil. So I wasted some valuable time by driving it back there to see if they simply didn't tighten the drain plug. They were friendly enough and simply apologized for not wiping down the underside of the car and they assured me everything was fine. Well, everything wasn't "fine". The car continued to leak oil (about the size of a quarter) and I had a few different service places look at it (Gerald's when we had tires put on, AAA when I had a new battery put in, etc.) None seemed to think it was a big deal and, truth be told, neither did I. I simply added a new quart of oil every three weeks or so and then waited for the computer to tell me it was time for another oil change. Fast forward to early October, 2014. This time I took it to GlassPro where the fine professionals there informed me that some dunce inserted a Ford drainplug into our GMC Yukon! They stripped all but three of the threads and now I needed a new oil pan. GlassPro was able to order a larger than standard plug from Park Auto Parts that at least enabled the car to be "fine" for another 5000 miles or so. But we knew we had to get the issued fixed. I took up the long process of filing a claim with Jiffy Lube (Ron Dickey is the Regional Manager) and yesterday they called and told me they were "leaning towards" approving my claim. Lo and behold, they called back today and said they were declining it! To make things ever worse, the third party inspector they sent - against my orders - removed the drain plug during his inspection, stripped the remaining threads, and now I'm left with an undriveable vehicle! With so many choices for oil changes if you choose Jiffy Lube in Mt. Pleasant or anywhere it is my opinion that you are out of your mind. I would recommend Wright Auto or GlassPro or Geralds in a heartbeat, though. read more

If I could give this place zero stars I would. My car was left on and running for hours, I was never called that my vehicle was ready when I was told it would be around an hour... after a simple oil change and three hours going by until I finally called I went to get my car. I was then blamed for " not answering my phone" and when I confirmed with the two people that I have had my phone on and near me the entire time I then find they never wrote my number down properly. I told them the car had been running and all my screens were overheated and the response was " oh interesting" the girl with purple and blue hair then joked with the guy with black hair about who should be fired. I don't appreciate how I was treated, I don't appreciate how my new car was treated and I definitely don't appreciate the lack of professionalism where I have spent my money for the life span of two vehicles. I will no longer go here. The last time I went there prior to this a guy with neck tattoos who was working walked up to my boyfriend in a different vehicle and started making inappropriate graphic comments about me prior to my boyfriend stating he was there to pick me up... not safe for younger women, and I am now going to drive elsewhere even though this is the closest and most convenient location for me because it's that awful! read more

I took my car here for an oil change and the customer service was abhorrent. Maybe this is routine for most oil changing places, but when I went to park my car in the parking lot, a mechanic told me to go ahead and pull up to the service area. I'd rather know (and agree) to the price of the service before giving someone control of my car. My mistake. When I went inside the customer waiting area, there were no one in the building for 5 minutes. When an employee (manager?) did come in, he was on the phone conducting a phone interview for another 10 minutes. By the time he was off the phone, he called me up, told me the total price ($45?!). I wish I had been more confrontational and not agreed to it, but since the car had been there for at least 30 minutes, I knew they were already working on it and I didn't want the headache. He then told me how long most cars vs. my car should go without an oil change, and wanted me to make a decision on how long it should be. Ok? Why does this matter at the moment? He then tried to sell me on an overpriced filter, among other things (lol, no, I'll buy it much cheaper elsewhere). TL;DR If I'm paying $45 to get my oil changed, I better get the royal treatment. I had gone in for an oil change and was informed that I also needed to replace my air filter. I paid to have it replaced and did not even make it home to Park Circle from the shop. I called the shop and asked if any of the work that they had done would be causing my car to stall out. They sent the manager out to me and we discovered that when the technician had removed the air filter, he had failed to put a new one back in. I was stunned! Went in for a oil change, they ended up charging me for more then what I asked. I just wanted to oil change, they said my fluids needed to be topped off so I agreed so this $25. Oil change turned into $50.! I then leave and not even an hour later my car starts over heating, I drive it back to jiffy lube praying it wouldn't blow a head gasket, for them to tell me that it's a weird coincidence. I took my truck and will never take a vech. There again. My truck never had a leak of any kind it started the same day to leak oil by the end of the week my oil filter fell off. I will have to thank them I found East Cooper engine and transmission who felt so bad they fixed it for free. read more
