I don't even want to give a star, but I don't have such a choice!!! I went to have the oil changed at 5pm and left there at 6:30pm. I paid $125 even though I took my own engine oil and oil filter. They delay customers for 1.5 hours to get the price they made up in their heads, and at the end of the job, they do the 5-minute transaction in 1.5 hours and get paid $125 for it. Moreover, before going in, they said $68 and I accepted it, then they said they would add oil, I said okay again, then they said the payment would be $114, I said that's all, they said yes and then they got paid $125. I only gave one star cause I had no choice. I came to get my oil checked and they topped my oil off yet my oil cap was not tightened and now there is oil all over my engine and my car will not start. If I didn't need an oil change why was oil just added to my car? No sticker was even given for new mileage I can return back to. Additionally, why wouldn't you check if the cap was tightened? I spoke to Tyler on the phone, yet I worry that the gentleman will not do anything to fix my issue if it is bigger than just the oil. read more

This is my regular shop for oil change and tire rotation. Today there was a problem removing a tire and lug screws were broken. They were extremely apologetic and replaced the screws and comped me the tire rotation. HOWEVER, the office guy was not masked and they did not enforce the state's mask mandate in the waiting room so I stood outside in the cold for more than 45 minutes while unmasked customers sat in the waiting room. I took it upon myself to speak up and even offered the manager a mask which he declined, politely, saying "I'm vaccinated." Record breaking illness and overflowing hospitals, breakthrough cases on the rise. I am a senior citizen, also vaccinated and boosted, but I find this unacceptable. I won't be back. read more

I just had the most outstanding experience at the Liberty Jiffy Lube. They changed my oil and rotated my tires. All very standard, BUT they also solved an issue I have had for several months! After leaving I was 1/2 way home and realized I'd left my water bottle. When I pulled up to the front door of the shop 2 different service techs came out to make sure there were no issues with the car. I found this to be a really kind gesture. Thank you! read more

Nov 3, 2020. Greeted by a rude guy in dreadlocks who immediately gave me an attitude when I explained there was no internal hood release, and it opened from the outside. He then proceeded to call me "pops" and repeating over and over "just leave the keys in the car, pops" . I drove off, even though both service lanes were vacant, and I had a coupon. I've been a customer at this location for years. And never encountered this level of incivility. I won't come back. read more

Had my oil changed here on 9/7/23. When I got home I noticed a puddle of oil forming under the car. It was too late to go back as they had closed so the next morning I went back. They told me that my oil pan was dented and cracked but they would make sure it wouldn't leak anymore. I never hit anything and they were the ones who changed the oil the last 3 times I had it done. They gave me the car back again telling me that it wasn't leaking but needed the pan changed ASAP. When I got home again oil was pouring out worse than before. I made a quick trip to my repair shop and they told me the pan wasn't dented, but the oil plug was cross threaded. 230.00 to fix it. The best part of this was there was another person in Jiffy Lube that had the same problem. Seems like there is a new and incompetent crew working here and I would avoid this place like the plague. read more

An oil change was done so badly that it left my car dripping. I returned the next day. A manager (self described as an expert) assured me he had cleaned up an overspill. The dripping continued so I went back AGAIN. This time I was a bit more forceful. Another manager took over qnd made a thorough inspection. There was so much oil that the pan was full. It had just been hastily wiped on the outside, but no one had bothered to remove and check it. After this THIRD VISIT my car stopped dripping. My garage is now permanently stained. read more

Great experience! 1-17-18 Knowing I needed maintenance on both my home and work vehicle, I was searching for a place by reviews. In Newark de. This was one of many shops, but had some of the best reviews. I took my personal vehicle in - no apt. Took me right away very professional and Courteous. Prices were better then the dealor whom I usually go to. I noticed that even tho it was only an oil change they did so many xtras I was so pleased! I asked for more and had them replace filters and rotate tires . Best service I've had in a long time. So good I brought back my diesel work van. That evening which is no little job at 15 quarts lol. Came into this location due to a check engine light and concerning car vibrations.My car had started sputtering so I was looking for service and too afraid to drive long distances. I came on a Sunday morning, probably around 20 minutes after it opened.As I was trying to figure out what car lane to get into, an employee named James started to gesture to me. I guess I didn't understand his directions because he started muttering the f word and looking extremely agitated. He told me through clenched teeth to pull up behind another car, pop hood, and he would take care of of it. I was very shaken and so nervous that I ended up apologizing because I was desperate for service. The employee said he had experienced car trouble and had a bad start to the day. I understand people being frustrated but his demeanor and attitude towards me was really off putting. Besides that, the employee at the computer was really nice and explained everything to me about my car.Additionally, the mechanics did a great job on my car.In the future. I hope this location talks to that employee about up front customer service and not to get upset if someone can't understand you(keeping in mind that people spend hundred of dollars getting their car fixed here). read more

The service seemed professional and courteous. The locals have caught on and they were very busy a Sunday afternoon. When I pulled up several cars back someone greeted me promptly and escorted us to the waiting room. The area and bathroom was clean. They do try to up sell other services so be careful of that but I don't blame them. I like the report they print out as a receipt letting me know everything happening with the car. Standard oil change is 32$ unless you mistakenly pay for a $50 upgrade or synthetic upgrade at $80 or so. Prices seem standard. Overall clean fast friendly service. read more

My wife's car needed an oil change. The mechanic I used to go to has become difficult to schedule, so I decided to try this Jiffy Lube location, close to home. The place is clean. The Receptionist (David) was professional and friendly. I ordered to top off some fluids and to clean the battery. It was done. I checked the oil, and they did a good job, no dirty oil streaks on the stick; it was nice and clean. With the oil change the total was just about over 50 bucks; i was in and out in a short time. My own car needs an oil change, so I guess this is where I am going. I liked the way we were treated and will return. read more

Stay away. I'm originally from Newark, now stationed at Fort Lee, VA. I had to go to Philly for urgent business and on the way back, my oil change light turned on. Being familiar with Newark, I stopped at this Jiffy Lube hoping it would be open. It was 4:30pm when I showed up. No line, one bay unoccupied, all bay doors open, no hoods up on the two vehicles on the other bay. The only activity was an employee (I hope) lazily wiping a window with a small cloth. After a time, an employee came out to my vehicle and informed me, "There will be a forty five minute wait, but we close in 30 minutes." Really? Just say go home, we don't want your business. That's what I get for trying to support the economy of my hometown. Did a followup call today to attempt to address the situation and the male who answered the phone would not provide me with the district management information, asking me questions about the hairstyle of the employee and what color shirt he was wearing, calling my integrity into question when I said the shirt was white I think. If this is representative of a Jiffy Lube, "Where no appointment is necessary" as they say when answering the phone, I guess I'll spend the extra money at the dealership after making my appointment. read more

I went to Jiffy Lube last year for an oil change and decided to go again. I like the fact that the customer service associates and mechanics are friendly and knowledgeable. This was my first time at this shop and noticed it was in a shopping center next to Outback Steakhouse and you just drive behind the Jiffy Lube Shop. There was an employee standing there and waved for me to come to the garage opened door. I popped open the hood and he asked me what I needed and I just came for an oil change. So we walked to the lounge where there was coffee, tv, wi-fi, magazines and a bathroom which was all clean. My stay was only about 15 minutes. The associate asked me to come to the computer and wanted to know what kind of signature oil I wanted which ranged from the standard to synthetic oil. I chose the synthetic which cost a little more. Standard was $40 and my bill was $63.98 with a $10.00 off coupon so it was $53.98 which included a top off with the $3.99 antifreeze added. The associates check the wipers, tires,fluids and also vacuumed the inside of my car, etc. Said I needed an air filter, tire rotation and antifreeze change and each were $24.99 each. I felt like they were trying to add on but did give me an option and I didn't feel pressure. The associates were clean and nice so can't complain. Not sure if the prices are high or not. It seems reasonable except for the $24.99 each for all the other stuff but their are promotions and coupons you can use. I found a $10.00 off coupon. I recommend this shop for a fast quick oil change. Thank ya! One more thing, you can also register online on their Jiffy lube website and register you cars and see what was done and when. It's sad because it seems most people just want to leave feedback when they are in a bad mood or annoyed about something. I should have done them the favor of leaving a 5-star rating EVERY time I've been in there over the last five years. Without fail, I ALWAYS receive the same professional and exceptional welcome. Then the staff is consistently knowledgable and always HAPPY to assist me. Being a business owner myself, I have to give kudos to the ownership because it is apparent they have a great training and have mastered the art of hiring exceptional staff. It seems they must keep the employees happy as well since they are always smiling and eager to help. The waiting area is extremely clean and comfortable and they take amazing care of your car too. I am highly particular about the care of my Cadillac and it's nice to find a place that treats my truck with the same care that I do. They use floor mats inside and they even use rubber mats on the sides of your car so as not to scratch the paint as they lean over. I've been using this specific Jiffy Lube like clockwork for 5 years and every time I'm there, I receive 5 star service!! You can definitely trust your car to them! read more
