However, when I called Firestone I was told that Lynn was no longer employed here. Nonetheless, my son's vehicle was in desperate need of tires and the snow was on its way, so I decided to still give this place a chance. The man I spoke with over the phone was James. He was nice, professional, helpful, and patient with me as I asked questions. Luckily, they had the tires in stock and informed me that they could have them installed that same day if we could be there by 2pm. We got there in time and they kept their word! We were out of there a little after 4pm. Everyone from the receptionist to the other technicians were very pleasant to work with. My son has a Ford Focus; the 4 new tires cost us a little over $600 after all taxes and installation fees. I felt like this was a decent price. (Although I honestly didn't have time to research. The kid's tires were BALD.) I did inquire about a warranty on the tires. I know my 4Runner has a warranty where I can bring it back to the tire company for a repair/replacement if I get a flat. They said that the tire they put on my son's vehicle didn't have this type of roadside warranty; it only has the 55K mile manufacturer warranty. Just an FYI. Other tires may have the ERS warranty, so just be sure to inquire and/or shop around if you're interested in those. All in all, I am happy with my experience at this Firestone. It was snowing heavily when we left, and as a mom, I was able to leave with a little more peace of mind knowing that my child had brand new tires, and wouldn't be sliding across kingdom come.

Part of that was due to Kevin, who was always straightforward, honest, and good about explaining options without pressure. Since he has retired, my recent experience hasn't been the same. I brought my son's car in because the blower motor had stopped working. I was charged $160 for an evaluation and then quoted over $500 for the replacement. After looking into the repair myself, I learned that the blower motor for this model is easily accessible through the glove compartment and the part costs around $40 online. The job also does not require removing the dashboard, as I was initially told. I understand shops need to charge for labor and overhead, but the estimate I received felt significantly higher than expected given the actual complexity of the job. Because of that, I chose not to proceed with the repair. I'm sharing this so other customers know to double-check estimates and ask questions. My past experiences here were positive, especially when Kevin was still working, but this visit didn't reflect the level of transparency I had come to expect.

I am always running over a nail or something else that requires a patch or sometimes (unfortunately), a whole new tire. It's a curse. We really love a local spot that's close to our house, but found ourselves in a real pickle the Friday before the Fourth of July weekend. We had a tire losing air, and they couldn't get us in until Monday because they were so busy. That's when I gave Henry's a call. Charles was so nice on the phone, and didn't even flinch when I asked if they could look at it and make a potential repair by the end of the day. I went and dropped it off right away, and they were so great with communication; without a few hours, they had found the culprit, patched it, and gave me a call to come pick it up. The whole thing cost $25 - I guess that's pretty standard for a patch, but it's definitely the least amount of money I've ever spent on a car repair. We will absolutely be using Henry's in the future and I'm so grateful for their professionalism and how quick they got us take care of!

I asked him why he helped him before me and his response was "because he used to be the owner". I then tell him that I'm not sure if I want to give them my business and he says "fine you can leave, I don't have to help you". We exchanged a few more words and I left but that level of blatant racism was completely distasteful and I'll never return there. The previous staff had been there for over a year and were really amazing and knowledgeable. Today it was complete disaster. Service was slow, the employees did not seem to know the usual process or steps, and when we went to restart the car, several warning lights came on and the engine made a terrible sound. I got out of the car to talk about what had happened and the manager Moody was incredibly rude telling me get back in the car and when I asked him to come talk about the situation, he kept saying this isn't a problem with the oil change and refused to talk, disappearing entirely from the shop floor. It was very suspicious that there were no check engine lights or problems until they opened the hood and started working on it. They pressured us multiple times to just drive it out of there and take it to a mechanic, which of course was ridiculous, I'm not gonna drive a car with a check engine light that suddenly came on. So right from the oil change bay I called the Valvoline customer service and told them what it happened. After a little while, they realized one of the technicians had knocked into a hose and loosened it (in addition to dripping oil all over.) The staff onsite tried to say the hose was loose already and blame us but come on there weren't any lights on and the engine was working perfectly before we got there. The only compliment of the day was the Valvoline customer service lady who took our concern seriously, gave us a report number, and told us the steps we need to follow if there was any damage identified. I'm not giving up on Valvoline completely, but I'll never return to this location.
