My wife was taken advantage of in this location. She was changed $70 to replace a cabin air filter (which sits right behind the glove box) and to have her air filter cleaned-with no mention or suggestion of doing the cleaning herself. Meanwhile, she was told "your battery has a LITTLE corrosion", but no suggestion of servicing. Two days later, the car wouldn't start-and upon viewing the battery, I have never seen more corrosion on a battery ever. I called the location on her behalf, and both the assistant manager or store manager were willing to do anything to rectify the situation, outside of saying "sorry", and hiding behind the fact that corporate sets the pricing and she agreed to the services. I worked in a shop for over 10 years, and while it's obviously not a charity, there's a level of education that's valuable to share with a customer when it comes to properly caring for their vehicle. This was taking advantage of a woman who clearly knew nothing about her vehicle, and doing the "easy" work while neglecting the "harder" work. It was an easier $70 to do 5 minutes of work, than pulling the battery apart, cleaning all the corrosion, spraying it down-hence why the service WASN'T EVEN OFFERED. read more

Don't go to this Jiffy Lube in Prescott Valley. It says home of the 15 minute oil change. Try 1 1/2 hour wait ( 2 cars in front of me) then 30 minutes for the oil change. The bad part is the manager lies. I went in with check engine light on or anything. He said all the lights were on. I go back and he states those light were on. They weren't. He has someone go look at it then check for codes. The tech gets the code. Doesn't tell me what it was. Acts like he is checking the air filter area. Then proceeded to clear the code. As I'm driving away. The light comes back on. I go home because I can scan it myself. So I do and it is the mass air flow system sensor. I plug back in all light go away. And now today. I get a call from the Manager the same one that said all the lights were already on. He said they never unplugged it. Now he is Saying he has video showing they never unplugged it. Well you have to to check the air filter, transmission fuild. I told him I'm not dealing with him. But he called back saying he has video. Don't go there. The wait is to long. I did notice the employees stand around and talk alot. Go somewhere else. read more

WOW! What a liar the manager is! I was shocked to hear that he would even be considered a manager. I went in for brake replacement, he told me my brakes were fine for me to make a trip out of state. I said I didn't think so, and I wanted them replaced. I would have been safer with my old brakes....after 5 hours, it was time to close up shop. He said the brakes worked after driving my truck after replacement. It was making some horrid noises, he said that the coating just had to wear off and it would stop. That didn't happen. I went on my trip and it never got better. I cut my trip short and took my truck back in. He lied to me some more, then replaced the brakes, saying they had put on faulty brake pads...yeah ok. The back were faulty, they didn't check the front, but said they weren't faulty because they weren't making noise. NEVER EVER GET BRAKES DONE THERE NOR BELIEVE A WORD THAT MANAGER SAYS. My husband and I had received services without issue in the recent past and were able to use our military discount with USAA as well until today. I drove up to Jiffy Lube and a representative greeted me and asked what service I was requesting. I told him that I needed an oil change and that I would like to use my military discount (they usually just ask my husband and I to show them the USAA membership) additionally I stated that there was a current valid coupon that gives $20 off an oil change if I requested to use the Jiffy Lube brand oil. So I asked the service tech if the coupon saved more money than the military discount, the man brought his manager to clarify, he came over to the car to tell me that the best money saving option would be to use the coupon, so I asked him to apply the coupon he said they never look at USAA discounts....The manager looked at my hands on the steering wheel and then looked me in the face and said" Oh wow, you bite your nails, your fingers look so bad that it makes me feel pain, you really shouldn't bite your nails". I was in shock, uncomfortable and didn't know what to say so I replied that the comment was unprofessional and I felt like I had to explain myself so I said to him that I was a professional in the community and I just needed to manage my stress a bit better, I said well in college I also had a high stress experience. Then he asked me where the coupon was or he wouldn't be able to use it he rushed me out of my vehicle and got my key fob, I was so flustered that I couldn't pull up the coupon on my phone and I said that I could use my lap top to retrieve the coupon, he told me I could use the $20 off coupon at the time payment was due. I was seated in the lobby and using my computer to retrieve my coupon and observed a Jiffy Lube associate flirting loudly with a female customer at the register and he told her in a sleazy manner and tone of voice, Sorry Maa'm but our store has met our quota on coupons for the day so I can't let you use your coupon, she looked confused and asked why she couldn't use her coupon and he leaned towards her over the counter and said he was just kidding. I found the coupon and brought it up on my computer screen and had it ready for the cashier to take the coupon but he told me that I could not use the $20 coupon and I could only use either the $10 off coupon or I could use the military discount because the tech did not listen to me and he used the wrong oil despite that I told the tech to use their Jiffy Lube brand oil that as stated was a requirement in order for me to use the coupon. I told him to use the military discount he said, "Oh your back windshield wiper is in bad shape can I replace that for you but I was so disgusted with me being treated so poorly that I just wanted to get out of the auto shop so I refused and I paid and started to leave and I was still in shock so I guess he walked me out to my car and he stepped in front of me and put the sticker in my windshield and said thank you, I was disoriented by todays service appointment that I didn't say a word. I pulled into a nearby parking lot to collect myself as I thought to myself what the F$!& just happened at Jiffy Lube, I felt like I was punched in the face by their service staff and then one of there staff thanked me, the experience was so unpleasant and degrading. If my husband was there then I probably wouldn't have been taken advantage of. I called Jiffy Lube corporate and left a voicemail message and I plan on writing a complaint document to give corporate and will follow up accordingly...My husband apologized to me and said we are never going to Jiffy Lube again he will also file a complaint. Took my car in on 10/2/21 for an oil change, and paid via Visa. The next day I had a service appointment in Scottsdale, drove my car there, had my service done, and the tech there said that I "desperately needed an oil change" that they "found NO oil on the dipstick, and had to add 1.3qrts. When I brought this info to Jiffy Lube, they said they'd review it and get back to me next day. Now Friday the 22nd, I went in and presented the info yo the manager, who then told me "he didn't believe that's what happened" (calling me a liar) and then fought with me for 5 minutes about getting a refund for botching the job I paid them $99.36 for. Finally he claimed he'd process it (2-3 days) we'll have to see if that "professional" can pull through or if I have to go in and fight him a 3rd time. read more

Get a tire rotation somewhere else. The technician couldn't figure out how to replace a wheel stud and had to send for the part twice. What should have been a twenty minute job turned into an hour and a half before he admitted he couldn't do it. When I reminded the salesperson that I had to wait over an hour and a half, he just stared into space in awkward silence without offering a discount. I will never go back to this location. read more

Was in hurry and took it here instead of the dealer thinking it would be faster. Not so took and hour and the charge was $20 more with conventional oil instead of the synthetic blend at the dealer. They are also dishonest. I was told I needed a new battery and I declined because there never as any indication of start up problems. I took it to Wal Mart a few weeks later which was yesterday intending to buy a new battery, but the technician after doing two load tests told me my battery was fine and did not need new one. read more

I had an oil change on 03/05/2015 and was greeted nicely. The check-in person was friendly and showed me the options. The service was done quickly. What I did not like was the ever-present attempt to try to sell me an engine air filter and a cabin air filter. Neither of these were especially dirty. Instead of knocking out the little dirt that was present in the filters, they were replaced as is. In addition, the technician reported a battery cap was missing. When I got away from their store, I opened the hood and the cap was missing all right, but it was directly next to the battery in plain view. I don't know if this was a ploy to try to sell me a new battery or not. A little better customer service by the technicians would have set them apart from the competition. read more

Broke down on my way to Sedona and ended up getting towed here after overheating and having my engine lock up. Not only did they have free popcorn and soda while we waited, which my daughter absolutely loved, but they diagnosed the problem with my car and called in a part, got it delivered and installed and on my way in what had to be less than an hour! I was so impressed! It was also less than $100! So rare you find an honest mechanic, especially out on the road and away from home....it's good to know they are there if I ever need them again. Please do yourself a favor and don't take your time going here. I went a few weeks ago and when they were reviewing everything at the end they said my coolant was low. I asked if they filled it and the person said he would check and have them do it. Flash forward a few weeks and my car smelled sort of smoky after driving back from Phoenix one night and it looked like my coolant was really low. I went today and asked them to check ALL my fluids specifically my coolant because I felt it was low and to see if they thought I had a leak. They finished less than five minutes later and I asked if they checked the coolant and he said he wasn't sure and popped the hood and looked... It was practically empty! I explained that the coolant was specifically what I asked about. He got a can and filled it and when I asked if he thought I had a leak... He said I don't know because I just spilled some of it all over and told me I should go to a mechanic or auto zone and have them look at it? (Uh you guys are certified to do coolant stuff!) Long story short it's no coincidence that they had no customers today and Big O tires next door had cars pouring out of their bays. The people who work here are young and I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt because I get judged for my age in my profession all the time. However, they have come up short twice now and I am done with Jiffy Lube. Maybe the manager will figure it out and hire someone there who actually knows something about cars. read more

I took my car in for an oil change, they said it would take 15 minutes. An hour later they tell me Im good to go. I started the car and it turbed off immediately. I started it a second time and drove away. It took me 5 seconds to notice my check engine light was on. I was still in the parking lot, so I pulled back in. I was asked to pop the hood. It appears that my entire enginge cover pins were on the front of the dash that they didn't take the time to secure and that the guy working on my car had disconnected plugs he never should have messed with for a mere oil change. After getting the manager involved, things were put back the way it should have been in the first place. He also managed to leave oil hand prints on the suede part of the door. I will never in a million years take any of my vehicles to a jiffy lube. read more

I had been taking my ford E-350 van to jiffy lube for approximately 8 years. While checking the fluids I noticed the oil was burnt and the engine had started knocking worse and worse. I had my wife take it back in after about a month of having a oil change (I was out of town working) she called saying they told her the oil level was a quart low and the oil looked burnt. It has never leaked nor had it been burning oil. So they topped it off. I brought it back a week later to have the oil changed and to upgrade to high mileage synthetic which they recommended. While waiting for the oil change I noticed they were putting oil in after they had completed, with a small jug. I questioned the technician as to why they were putting oil in after the fact and he stated the oil level was a full quart low!!! Mind you they had just completed the same oil change they have been performing for years. They checked the computer to see what amount of oil my vehicle required and to find out their system had the incorrect amount this entire time.. two weeks after getting the high mileage synthetic oil the engine blew leaving my family of 5 with out a means of transportation And they won't do anything about it but give me the run around....... pretty bad when you have to do research on your own to make sure they are doing their job right. Thought I was paying a professional to do a job right. Instead I've been paying jiffy lube to destroy my only vehicle. Now I have to come up with money to repair the engine that they destroyed by not putting the manufactures required amount. BEWARE. They've also left tools hanging from the engine. Which I didn't notice until I got home. If the wrench would have come off on my way home it could have easily injured or killed someone. read more

I have been going to Jiffy Lube in CA and OR for at least twenty five years. When I moved to Prescott AZ it seemed reasonable to continue with them. The last oil change I had in OR was $28. Really all they do is change the oil and install a new filter. This same service in Prescott was $64! Never again. Walmart provides exactly the same service, no appointment required, for $29.88. read more
