I had an amazing experience today at Jiffy Lube! The customer service was by far the best I have ever received. From the time the first man Took my information and keys all the way till the end when the manager Mike was so honest to tell me that my oil wasn't quite due for a change and was very clean, but still checked all of my fluids and tires and changed a bulb for no charge! This kind of honesty and exceptional customer service was so appreciated. Mike is a great manager and is really doing great things for Jiffy Lube. I'm so thankful I found the Jiffylube on Market St. in Redding. Previously I had been to two different places in town that overfilled my oil because they filled it according to the "book". I had to have my engine cleaned after the second time. But Jiffylube here were careful to fill it with less and check it till it was the perfect level. Sue and Mike are the greatest. Prius owners beware. If you need an oil change, lube, filters replaced or other minor service I'm sure Jiffy Lube can serve you well. If you have a Prius however I implore you not to take it to Jiffy Lube for a coolant system flush and replace. My first clue should have been when the counter attendant asked if the car was a stick shift or automatic, proving that he had no idea about the design of the Prius hybrid system. Then it took TWO hours for the service while I sat in the waiting room, reason being they couldn't figure out how to keep the engine running long enough to operate the thermostat. When I paid and prepared to drive away the counter attendant said they were not sure they had purged all the air in the coolant system because they couldn't find the bleeder valve. On the way home the heater would not work so I knew there was at least air in the system. The next day I took the Prius to the Toyota dealer to have them do the job correctly. Toyota told me the system takes a Toyota fluid - no water at all. They did indeed find air in the system. The Prius has two independent coolant systems. The other system had been overfilled by Jiffy Lube. To the credit of Jiffy Lube I did get my $89 back that they had charged me for the coolant service. I suggested they turn away Prius owners who ask for a coolant flush. I will continue to take my cars to Jiffy Lube. They do suggest a number of things beyond the simple oil and lube I come in for but it is easy to simply brush them off and not get roped into a bunch of expensive add-ons. read more

Came in today for a standard oil change. After waiting 90 minutes, I was told the manager had to drive in to do the paperwork on a standard fleet vehicle transaction. Upon getting my car, I noticed they had not vacuumed my carpets, washed my windows or put the mileage sticker on the window. My car was the only car there while they waited for the manager.
