This location rocks! After a long drive from the Bay Area, I started noticing multiple warning lights on my Lexus RX 350. On my way home, I stopped by Jiffy Lube on Hartnell Ave. I asked if they could help diagnose all the lights that came on my vehicle. As it turns out, the oil change I had done hours prior at 7 Flags (Fairfield) messed up the oil change. The technician sliced the oil cooler hose. As a result, my synthetic oil completely drained from my car within hours of the work being done- while I was driving! The guys at Jiffy Lube not only diagnosed the issue, but they were able to repair it within an hour by replacing the hose and adding more oil! I am truly grateful to them. I am also impressed by their thoroughness and professionalism. I was ready to buy pizzas for all of them (I still might) to show my appreciation! The technician from 7 Flags severely messed up which could have resulted in engine damage to my car. However, thanks to the expertise and swift action of the guys at JIffy Lube I was able to drive home. If ever you need an oil change you have to go to Jiffy Lube on Harnell Ave in Redding. I was an a solo roadtrip when my car encountered some issues and the people here tried many different solutions, explained everything to me clearly and honestly and although they weren't able to 100% fix the issue with the tools and parts they had, they got my car fixed enough to make it back to LA safely and confidently. I have 2 Lexuses, a Ford Explorer, an Acura and a Ford diesel. The first 4 minor issues. The Ford diesel, no air filter. I told them to toss it in the back of the truck and I would go get one. They put it on my console, leaving an oily mess. They refused to change my canister oil filter, I had the filter in hand. I had asked before I brought the truck in if they would change it. Of course they said. One 3/4 inch wrench is all it takes. They do brakes there but not non-screw on oil filter. My 5 cars will find a new home for oil changes. read more

If I could give them negative stars, I would. This place offered to fix my friends small windshield crack while she was there servicing her car. They had her sign a waiver saying they are not responsible for damages. Well turns out, they don't know what they are doing and the tiny crack turned into a huge crack!! They told her there was nothing they could do! This is extremely poor customer service. The fact that they are offering a service and not being able to see it through, is the silliest thing I have ever heard. I will never give my time or money to this place! The Hartnell Jiffy Lube is great! The guys and girls that work there are always super friendly and get you in and out as quick as possible. Today I went in for an oil change and to have my brake light fixed. They noticed that I had already purchased brake light bulbs (they were in my trunk) so they just used those and didn't charge me. DAMAGED MY CAR AND SAID THEY ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE!!! I have been coming to this Jiffy Lube store for my oil changes diligently for the past several years, and the staff has always been very friendly. The past several times though, they have forgotten to vacuum my car and re-set my oil change indicator, and I've had to make another trip back in so they could re-set the indicator. This past visit, they left a tool on top of my engine when they closed the hood, which left a ding in my hood (from the inside). When I left there I noticed the ding, but thought something had fallen on my hood. When I got home, my husband checked it out and noticed immediately that it was from the INSIDE of my hood. I called Jiffy Lube and the gal who works at this location was very apologetic and friendly. However, her boss "Dusty" (I guess he's a new manager?) didn't return any of our calls at first. When we persisted and finally were able to reach him, he told us to get some estimates, which we did. All 3 auto body shops said it was caused by a tool of some sort left under the hood when they closed it. And one body shop said that they had just repaired a hood for the same reason (from another company)...which took care of the repair costs. When we presented our estimates (which took some time out of our busy schedules), he told us they were not going to take care of it and that they aren't responsible (because their policy is to put all tools and caps in a specific area on the lower part of the engine)! "Dusty" said he asked his employees about it, who of course said they "didn't do it"... What??? Well then why did he ask us to get the estimates in the first place if he was not going to be honorable? And I NEVER open my hood...Jiffy Lube had been the ONLY place to open my hood to change the oil since I had my last major tune-up by the Jeep dealership almost a year ago. Since this new guy, Dusty, has been overseeing this store, the quality has gone down. And to damage a long-time customers car (or ANY customers car) and not take responsibility is just dishonest. My wife took our car here for fluid changes (basic upkeep and oil filter change). The car was running great when we brought it in, however, a week or so later, the radiator was making noise due to no fluid in it (it was leaking out). So my wife takes the car back and they tighten some things and tell us the problem is solved. Well, another week or so goes by and the same thing happens. I take the car back and tell them that when they changed the fluid they must have messed it up. They say my wife never asked for the radiator fluid to be changed-- Although she swears she did. Regardless, even though the car worked fine (no fluid leaking) before we took it to them, they said they can't do anything and referred me to a mechanic. So now I have to flip the bill to fix things that worked fine before they touched my car. Ok. I'll pay for their mistake, and in exchange they lost a good paying customer and get this review. They will charge you an extra $6 for a "special" oil filter that they don't have in stock., and they won't tell you that until your in the waiting room. That's the same as charging you for an oil because they do t have any. They repeated the same thing to other customers while I waited. It's an extra $6 if you want them to top off your other fluids. Over $100 for a 4 cylinder synthetic oil change. Lesson learned, never going back to Jiffy and I will be filing a complaint with their corporate office. read more

Planning a 2500 mile road trip in my truck i wanted to feel safe driving my 2006 Dodge Dakota truck They were able to complete my check off list for things to get done on my truck plus some.Oil changed along with replacing a burnt out brake light, new air filter, rotate tires, and checked filled my spare tire. I've never gotten an oil change here, but I brought in my car today to get one of my tail lights replaced. I would've done it myself, but the panel where the bulbs and wiring were was tight and I didn't want to break anything by forcing it off. Anyway, I had made an appointment at my usual place but when I brought in my car they wanted to keep it for TWO hours! Now, I can understand if your shop is busy. But I'm only trying to get one light bulb replaced. It takes like 15 minutes (again, I've done it before). They also didn't mention this on the phone when I told them what I needed to get done. So I called Jiffy Lube last minute and asked if I could bring my car around. They were waiting for me already as I pulled in and got to work straight away. I had already purchased the bulb, and the guy that worked on my car only took about 10-15 minutes. He didn't even charge me! (I'm betting the other place would've.) A pleasant experience here and I'll be back to try out an oil change. Awesome service! read more

The mechanics here aren't very smart to be honest. Told me a transmission change and flush are the same thing. No buddy. Then over heard him talking to his co-worker one guy asked if he told me the price of it yet and the other guy said no. I just got a weird vibe like they would be trying to pull a fast one on me to get more money. Same thing with saying a flush is the same thing as a change they are 2 completely different services. They just are dumb or play dumb in order to do a more expensive service when that isn't what I wanted. I just left and changed my fluid myself for under $30. read more

Every time I have gone to this Jiffy Lube location, regardless of how busy they are, the wait time is minimal. The last time I was there, I was the only car there and it seemed like I barely sat down before my car was finished. I explained that I did not need any of the extra services and never felt pressured into any. In fact, the service technician even assured me that my air filter did not need to be changed, making me feel confident that I was not being misled on other recommendations. If you own a car there is no getting around maintenance and an oil change is part of it. I have been going to Jiffy lube for quite a while. I tried other oil change shops but they cost more, and take longer. why should I pay more because they offer me a bottle cold water? Or wait an hour at someplaces for about the same cost? Jiffy lube does the job quick and uses the same oil, plus they vacuum my carpets, check and fill my other fluids and clean my windshield, to boot. Today I had a $10.00 off coupon so I paid under $35.00 and only waited about 12 minutes total. read more
