Things were handled nicely and fairly. My only complaint is that the pricing is set by corporate and it's more expensive (less with a coupon) then having my oil changed at the dealership. read more

No stars from me. I have front end damage to the front of my car but my hood is fine. Last time I went there they didn't shut my hood correctly and it flew open and broke me windshield. They had to pay for it. Then I went back for service cause it's where I always go and they denied me service due to the fact that they had to pay for my hood previously. The district manager is a joke. I shouldn't had been denied service because of the employees mistake. to shut my hood literally all you have to do is push it down. if you don't know how to shut a hood correctly you probably shouldn't be working where they do oil changes. I went to get my oil change on my Rav 4 and I could honestly say that I've never left an establishment more mortified. It was a busy day, the staff was hard at work and the waiting room was pretty full. I sat and waited for over an hour and it seemed there had been little movement. At a point, a short man (whom I presume to have been the manager, because he was wearing a red shirt) went into their employee bathroom. Over the course of the next 10 to 15 minutes a horrendous stench engulfed the waiting room. Even small children were remarking to their parents about it. You could tell by the other employees faces that they were also uncomfortable by the smell. To be honest I was really disgusted in this situation and almost felt disrespected by the fact that I had to sit through that disgusting smell until my oil change was completed. That was long enough for me to determine that I will never be coming back to this establishment again. read more

The best place in town! They are always friendly and professional. I've been here a few times now and I'm always greeted promptly and offered a cup of coffee from the lobby. They go above and beyond with their customer service, they wipe down the windows, top off any other fluids for free and even vacuum the carpets! They are fast and efficient with their oil changes, we were in and out within 30minutes. I would definitely recommend this location! We never feel like they are trying to sell us more than we want, and they always have coupons in the paper! read more

How is this place still in business? Oh yea, it's cause they don't do ANYTHING to your car and charge you for it!!! I took my car to Toyota for a different issue only 2 days after I had my oil changed here. The Toyota mechanic told me that the oil was the worst he had ever seen. Obviously this place did NOTHING and charged me $85.00. What a rip off! DONT GO HERE! it's not like they were busy. When I pulled in, there was about 5 employees just standing around. I understand "break" times, but you should have a lounge for your employees. When they're standing outside smoking next to where you pull into the bays and can't even be bothered to wave you into the correct place to park, it looks really bad for business. 10 min wait with no one greeting or acknowledging your presence is a sign to leave. At least for me it was. Won't be back except for an emergency perhaps. I feel bad for the one guy I saw working. He should get more stars. read more

This was one of the worst experiences with jiffy lube I've had. I called asked how long they estimated the wait would be for an oil change--they said 15 to 20 mins. The wait ended up being over 2 hours! When I was paying at the end we asked why the wait was so long? The man working just looked at us and didn't respond. We waited over 2 hours without even an explanation or an apology, terrible customer service and we will never return. read more

Fast, friendly and offered to do the oil change while I sat in the car with my 3 kids. I think taking them all out of their car seats, getting them into the wait area and then buckling them back in again would have taken longer than the whole oil change. No hard up sell here. I've taken my car twice to have oils changes and I must say this place has excellent service. Right when you drive up they greet you (which in my opinion is great). My oil change took over an hour. When we got there they started working on it immediately but I don't know what happened. We acknowledged that it took a while and the guy said "Yeah it usually takes 10 minutes." We told him it took an hour and he just shrugged his shoulders and gave us a $10 off coupon. This Jiffy Lube location is the worse place to receive an oil change. Unprofessional, questionable servicing, rude employees. Generally I trust Jiffy Lube for their fast reliable and often great customer service. Definitely not the case with employees at the Jiffy Lube at the 228 N Main Street location. Allow me to go into detail with my horrible experience. When I drove into the Jiffy Lube shop, an EMPLOYEE WAS SMOKING A CIGARETTE AT THE ENTRANCE TO THE GARAGE, which is bad for professional image not to mention very dangerous. Upon presenting my rebate coupon for a discounted synthetic oil change, EMPLOYEES DID NOT HOW TO HONOR COUPON FOR DISCOUNTED OIL CHANGE. After being provided the customer service phone number to Pennzoil to resolve coupon issue, I noticed an EMPLOYEE QUICKLY BUT SUSPICIOUSLY COMPLETED OIL SERVICE (less than 7 minutes???). The quickness by which the employee, Angel Bravo, finished changing the oil and the oil filter left me doubting the service was even done - so I asked to see the oil filter and the empty quarts of oil. THE EMPLOYEE TOOK OFF THE GARBAGE CAN LID AND PROCEEDED TO THROW EMPTY OIL QUARTS ON THE FLOOR (very aggressively), then the EMPLOYEE HELD AN EMPTY OIL QUART TO MY FACE AND WITH AN INSULTING TONE STATED 'IS THIS NOT THE SYNTHETIC OIL FOR YOUR SERVICE?" At this point I was mortified. I proceeded to review the work claimed to be completed by the staff. EMPLOYEES FAILED TO CHECK FLUID LEVELS, DID NOT CHECK TIRE PRESSURE, DID NOT VACUUM INTERIOR OF THE CAR, DID NOT CLEAN WINDOWS. When I asked for the servicing to be complete, another EMPLOYEE PULLED AWAY DANGEROUSLY FAST IN MY CAR AND BROUGHT MY VEHICLE BACK INTO THE GARAGE WHERE 3 EMPLOYEES QUICKLY VACUUMED INTERIOR FLOOR AND WIPED DOWN THE WINDOWS-BUT NOTHING ELSE. The reviews posted before mine only legitimize what horrible experience I had. I was so uneasy with today's servicing I had to pull to the side of the road and check the oil level and it's color to be sure my car was alright. I still believe the EMPLOYEES DID NOT PROVIDE PROPER SERVICING WITH CAR. No one should feel their oil change wasn't done properly. I hope Jiffy Lube corporation/franchise owner replaces the horrible employees at this location. read more

I've been going to the Salinas Jiffy Lube for a couple of years now. I've had other work done there besides oil service (headlight replacement, brake work, etc). They seem to have a high turnover in personnel, but their workmanship never suffers. They are always very clear when describing what they will do or recommend. The waiting area is clean and comfortable: tv, coffee, water, nice chairs, and restrooms. I would definitely recommmend. read more

Worst experience ever! I have been getting my oil changed here for years. Lots of employees lots of talking.... my car sat for 15 minutes with an empty stall! I brought it to their attention and they said they will get to it in a minute. Don't bring your car here unless you have two hours of your life to waste. After speaking with the employee there were not enough employees scheduled to work both stalls.... yet both stalls were open when I pulled up. It took me an hour and 45 minutes to get a simple oil change. Shame on the management. read more

This place is very convenient, and I'm entitled to a 15% discount due to my union membership. In the past, to get the discount, I've had to take in a photocopy from my union web site showing just that, and argue. The other day was the worst yet. The employee I dealt with clearly did not want to give me the discount, even though another employee was elbowing him saying "Give it to him." Finally, he very grumpily gave in and gave me the discount. I should note that the discount was the main reason that I was there, lots of competition nearby! But I seriously doubt that he will ever get the chance to deal with me again. I have no interest in being grumped at while spending my money. I usually go to the dealership to get my oil change but I ended up coming back to this location last minute. The man who rang up my service ended up charging me for an oil I never even asked them to use on my car and because I didn't have my receipt from my last service with me when I went there long ago he made me pay 50 dollars more than what I usually get and pay for. He did not try accommodate me or anything all he told me was "swipe your card." I work in customer service and it is everything to a business and because of such horrible service I will never be coming back. He just made this place look money hungry. read more

They were really nice and professional. I got my car's oil changed in 20 min along with the windows and carpet cleaned. I give them 3 stars for the fact that they bent my car key and now I'm having a harder time turning the ignition. When my car was ready to go, the woman said it was difficult to turn the key. I didn't know what she was talking about bc I've never had issues. I get in my car and yup! Took awhile to turn it and later saw my key was bent. Don't know how they managed to do that. :( read more

Took an hour to get my oil changed here today. No lines, no one in front of me, no complications, just a straight up hour. There was actually two other cars in the two other bays that were there before me, and I got done first so they were waiting even longer. Would have been more manageable if hadn't been for TV in the little waiting room blasting one of those reality courtroom shows. An hour! read more

I use Jiffy Lube all the time, but this is the worst experience I've ever had at an auto shop. There was one car in front of me and it took over and hour for them to even discuss what I wanted done to my car today. The employee at the front desk acted as if he just didn't care about even being there and just sat outside on the phone. Additionally, the other person in the waiting room told me they had been there for almost two hours now and couldn't figure out what was taking them this long for a simple oils change. I have always had the best experience when ever i go to jiffy lube they are usually really good fast and friendly.. Today was different.. The guy at the counter you could barely understand a word he said. The reason i took my car in today was because the automatic transmission fluid in my car is black and not pink like it should be.. He told me you don't need to change that unless your a taxi driver or a police vehicle or delivery truck.. ended up changing the oil and doing a radiator flush. The guy worked on my car for over an hour looked lost and kept walking away from the car. He spilt the radiator fluid all over my car and didn't bother to clean it up. I got home and my car is smoking from all areas of under my hood. He also left a pair of huge pliers under the hood sitting right next to my battery and engine. Not happy at all today. read more
