I am the person that avoids any kind of car maintenance whatsoever. I used to be so spoiled that my dad took care of all that for me, but now that I'm all grown, I just rarely do it. Procrastination at it's finest....mainly because you know you're going to go experience a long line of cars, horrible wait times, etc...so that's exactly what I was expecting today; however, I had the complete opposite experience. I came in on a Friday about 3:15pm, and there was only one other car being serviced. Mine was quick to go in a stall. It literally took about 15 minutes. There were no issues using my $15 off coupon either. Everyone in there was super friendly. It was not one of those "I hate my jobs, I hate life, It's Friday and I'm ready to leave" type places. Everyone had a smile. One of the attendants even apologized for asking me to go to a different stall. Wow. It's hard to beat that great of customer service. If you need an oil change you should avoid this place like the plague. I recently had an oil change here and the oil was overfilled, spilling all over my spark plugs and getting into my intake manifold. My car is now in the shop and wont stay on and I'm looking at hundreds of dollars in repairs. I've called Jiffy Lube multiple times and they don't call back when they say they will, they said that they'd send someone to inspect my vehicle and that never happened, and I know that they're just giving me the run-around until I have to pay for the damage they did out of my own pocket. Do not trust your car to these people! read more

Chain oil change places are always questionable... but my first visit here was a good one. No hard upsell on air filters or wipers. Did get the soft sell on both, but that's acceptable (I hate the hard sell). Was in and out in less than a half hour and used a $15 off coupon from the website. I'm shocked to see the negative reviews about this place. I went in today to get my oil changed and had a wonderful experience. I had a 2 year old with me today, and they were extremely accommodating and friendly. We even had a coffee spill in the lobby, and they cleaned it up while smiling. I had help from Grant, Steven (who was wearing a shirt that said Brandon, we had a good laugh about that when he introduced himself) and Tommy. They pointed out two belts in my car that were cracked and fraying and needed to be replaced. Tommy took the time to show me exactly what the belts looked like and even worked on the price with me to make things a lot more affordable. They were running a few holiday specials, and I was so satisfied with how they handled everything. They even took the time to vacuum my car afterward, which was a really nice touch. I would definitely recommend going here. They are thorough, thoughtful and quick! I'm not sure about these other negative reviews - if they are true and honest reviews, these guys must have really cleaned up their act and taken the feedback to heart! I would've given 0 stars if I could! First they told me that Hyundai recommends that "xyz" is needed. When my dealership who knows my car quoted me a 30% less charge for my 75,000 check up. When I told the manager to not do the oil change that I was going to go elsewhere he told me " we already drained the oil" WHAT!!???? Being made to feel like I had no choice I went ahead with the oil change. Upon checking out I saw on their computer screen a message that read " Do not drain oil before talking to customer" I have called corporate and filed a complaint!!! They took away my power of choice. DO NOT GO HERE THEY ARE UNPROFESSIONAL AND WILL HUSTLE YOU OUT OF WHATEVER THEY CAN!!!! read more

I have taken my car to Jiffy Lube for oil changes, etc. since I purchased it in 2003, and I have generally been pleased with their service. However, my last visit revealed what others have said about this location. I was treated with contempt for being unable to change my front headlight (although I explained that one of the parts was stuck, and I spent over an hour trying to remove it). The employee talked down to me about this, about how simple it is to change a headlight. I felt belittled, and when he informed me that my serpentine belt needed to be replaced, I decided to take my business elsewhere. My local mechanic not only spent several hours inspecting my car, but also carefully explained each needed repair (things I would have missed had I kept going to Jiffy Lube!) I am very glad that my car will be well cared for in the future, and that my local mechanic treats me with respect, even if I don't know everything about my car. read more

I was told that an oil change would take 35 minutes, was shown into the waiting room and sat for 20 without anyone talking to me. I listened to an upset customer be upsold after the clerk told him they purge all records after a year so he couldn't answer questions about when services that had previously been performed on his vehicle. A male customer came in after 20 minutes after I was waiting and was quickly helped and evaluated. No one had even evaluated my car yet!! Were these guys just dumb or was I discriminated against because I am a woman (with no hair)!? Whatever the reason, I do not recommend you waste your time and money at this Jiffy Lube location. My power steering fluid has been running low and they are so great about topping it off for me even though it's really hard to get to in my car. Some Jiffy Lube locations have refused to do this top off service for me but these folks help me out and I really value that exceptional service. read more

Took my truck in today for its first oil change since I bought it. I am a Sales Rep and driving around 100 miles on a daily basis, so it's imperative that I maintain my vehicle for optimal performance (and prevent break down). I had read reviews earlier on in the day and a lot of people had something to say about upselling (For those of you who are commenting on this, perhaps you should open your mind a little and understand that this is, in fact, a BUSINESS that thrives on income) Personally, I find it refreshing to be asked the question on which oil I prefer, or whether I need new wipers etc. I do need new wipers, but refused. Kudos to the gentleman helping me for asking the question. There were a couple of cars in front of me; they told me it would take about 40 minutes or so [@4:30 on a Sunday afternoon]. I had brought my dog with me, so took her for a walk. I returned about 25 minutes later and they were doing the final run through. All-in-all, exceptional service and they went above and beyond to ensure my truck was serviced for its needs. read more

They are definitely not pushy and I feel I can trust them 100%. Some people have one bad experience and think the world is falling. This location has always been quick, efficient, and friendly. They tell me if there's anything extra beyond the oil change that might be needed, but never pressure me into having anything else done. They check my lights, wipers, fluids, etc. and vacuum my dirty truck before sending me on my way. I always feel well taken care of here. read more

I needed a quick place to get my oil changed, last minute, before I took a mini-road trip up to Mount Rainier. I had put off my oil change a little too long and unfortunately, the dealership was booked solid a week out. I found this was the closest location to my house, and I have taken previous cars to other Jiffy Lubes throughout the PNW. There was no wait, and they started on my car right away. They have an annoying up-selling pitch, however, the technician wasn't pushy about it. He said what he has to say and didn't hound me for just wanting the cheap-o, basic oil change. The price was around $30 with taxes, which is what the sign on the street advertised. No surprise charges. I'd come back if my dealership was busy again. read more

Solid. I've been here twice thus far since getting in to a spat with the schmucks at the 4th ave Jiffy Lube, both times they've done a good job. Yes they have the whole soft sell thing but it's not unexpected. They treat people respectfully at this location. $40 upgrade charge from basic oil to synthetic oil for 2005 Subaru Outback, and for some reason this info is very hard to find. Maybe the attendant will put in a code and give a $10 discount. 1. Call up Ballard Jiffy Lube, ask for price for oil change with synthetic oil 2. Purchase Groupon for $45 oil change. 3. Go to Ballard Jiffy Lube 4. Have Jiffy Lube employee show me price of more than $20 over what I was quoted on the phone. 5. Get annoyed with Jiffy Lube employee, he offers to knock off $10 6. Get so pissed off, I find the manager, remind him that I chatted on the phone and demand that I get the price that he gave me over the phone. 7. The manager explains that I need to look at the computer with him. 8. I say I don't need to look at your computer, just give me the price you quoted over the phone. 9. Guy finds I'm low on coolant. I actually agree to paying $4.99 for him to add less than a pint. Note, no stars deducted for this convenience...but for those mathematically inclined, adding distilled water from 50/50 mixture to 46.8%/53.1%...which would be negligible) 10. I called into this Jiffy Lube to check the lines and Julian told me that it "was pretty light" and to come on down. By the time I got down there, most of the bays were unfortunately (for me) filled. That didn't matter - they got me in, hustled their tails off. Checked me in with contactless communications and interactions, and I was in and out in 7 minutes. True story. I was so impressed, I went back with my wife's car - same exact experience. And on this one, the GM Andrew was the one who handled my experience and was quick, efficient, and gave great counsel on what else I should do and even more impressive, what I didn't NEED to do. How many times have you had a GM of an auto mechanic express that some things like an air filter or coolant were okay and not necessary? I bought them anyway as a direct result of his approach and priority on my experience. He is awesome, and this location is staffed with friendly and professional folks. I'm not used to this kind of service!! Pleasantly surprised, as just the last time I was here I got major ambivalence and attitude! This time... as I was approaching ,not even actually pulling into the service center yet..one of the new assistant managers-Orlando- (who was outside on his break) could hear something was dragging from my car's undercarriage. I could see him watching my car and immediately walked toward me when he realized I was driving to the service entry. He had already accurately assessed the issue and directed me toward the waiting area all while he assured me he would take care of the problem. This welcome new management style is greatly appreciated and I will certainly be back here again! Ive been going to this location regularly after having a bad experience at the Wallingford location. I bring both of our cars here and have always had great experiences. I am lucky enough to be able to go during slow times so I have always felt very well taken care of. Service for me has been consistent and timely and polite. I was in today for an oil change and was so impressed with the speed and service. The GM Andrew was so helpful. Him and his crew went above and beyond to help. They installed the wiper blades I'd had in my car for about 6 months. He tried to help with another totally non-oil change related issue and when he couldn't himself help (didn't have the random part which was not surprising) he led me to someone who could. They made sure I was able to benefit from some offers as well, so they really did all they could, and all for a great price. PLUS, they all had masks on and were being very conscious of being safe!
