I have a confession to make. I am a Costco member and sort of reflexively think of buying things there. A few months ago I had a catastrophic flat tire and only managed to limp into a Shell station nearby. The kind person there filled up the tire and suggested that I go to Omar's tires on N 45th Street. $50 to repair a worthless tire. I should have gone to Les Schwab instead. They fix flat tires and their reputation is spotless. Plus prices are very reasonable, even free sometimes. Today I took my brother in law's car to the Ballard Les Schwab to have his brakes checked. An unusual rumbling noise was coming from one of the wheels. He doesn't speak English so I did the talking. They checked the brakes but didn't find any problem with the brakes and recommended I take it to the dealer to check the hybrid system and/or the roller bars. Hit a huge pot hole today and popped a brand new LesSchwab tire. Had to have my car towed since Toyota thought it would be funny to not give brand new cars spare tires anymore. So disappointed with Toyota! AAA towed my car to the Ballard location not knowing how long it would take. Decided to take off my snow tires and purchase top of the line Continental tires since Spring is around the corner. LesSchwab is ordering me a replacement snow tire for the one that popped. These people are absolutely amazing. My dad had a tire leak and took it in. Turns out it had come slightly off the rim. They fixed it for free. I noticed a bunch of brake dust appearing on my front wheels and took it in worried there might be an issue. The woman at the counter explained that it was probably nothing to worry about, but they would take a look (even though they had a completely full ot of cars waiting for service). Three hours later (as promised), they had done a full brake inspection complete with pad measurements and told me I didn't need any immediate work. Two different people, same results. Honest, fast service with no upsell. That kind of treatment is rare these days. I cannot recommend them enough, and will be using them in the future. read more

I went there yesterday with my old Honda for a small repair that takes under one hour. They held my car hostage and made me wait 5 hours, finally threatening that they would not give me my car back unless I bought a set of tires, the lowest price being over $400. The person who booked my car refused to help me, they sent out the kid who took the tire off to tell me the cost for the repair - $170, and I said fine, then that person never appeared again, instead it was a third person, who seemed to have been forced by the management to hard sell me a set of tires. It was quite a difference from the time 5 years ago when I went to this location and they fixed my flat for free. Sheesh! When things go downhill, there is no coming back. Staff are so friendly and courteous. I had a flat tire and they fixed for no charge. Great service and value. The only hard part is limited parking in front but they do have a parking lot in back which was pretty full but I managed to find a spot. Review # 1000 - I thought I'd make sure to write a positive one for the occasion. I came here for a tire chain kit as some of the more mountainous roads around these parts require chains in order for you traverse over the mountain during the winter months. It's required to at least have them on hand, so that you do not get stranded. Not ideal but luckily Les Schwab has a large selection in stock so that you can assuredly come here and get the set you need, for the tire size you have. The staff were great. Specially regarding the tire chains, they asked for my vehicle manual and the tire size so they could get the right set and know see about any possible differences in applying them. I dealt with two technicians, one of whom I believe was the manager, both equally nice and helpful. They explained briefly how they work and precautions to take whilst using them. They were open to questions about them and other services. The actual inside looked kept up and clean with snacks like popcorn and a beverage vending machine available and it seems to be well staffed. Two technicians at front end and a handful of them doing work on vehicles outside. I'm glad getting these chains was quick easy and met with friendly service. If I need to do anything regarding my car's tires, I'm glad I have this Les Schwab location to consider. read more

My go to. Any where in the State you can find this business it will keep you on the road with exceptional customer service. And That's important to have a Company to insure safe arrival to destinations near or far. Today I needed to fill all four of my tires! I came to find 10 psi low and Hannah to the rescue got straight to it and was able to offer good advice for wheel replacements as the Crome was flaking and deflating my Challenger's tires. Another tire met another screw, so another trip to Les Schwab. My "roadside assistance" offered through my car manufacturer inexplicably wanted $425 to fix the tire. So off to Ballard I go. Arrived late-morning and there was a long line, sigh. But wait - the line moved so fast that I was only in line for at most 5 minutes. Got to the front, handed over my key, asked for an ETA, and when the car was done they again charged me the crazy amount of...$20. Seriously, these people are the best, period read more

I highly recommend the Les Schwab Tire Center, the one located in Ballard in particular. The manager and staff are top-notch, knowledgeable and professional. On top of that, they are very courteous. I met and spoke with a few of the team members (including manager Steve Jackson) and was blown away by their customer service. They removed a tire from a rim for me for free and did not charge a disposal fee. I was very grateful and pledged to return to give them my business should the need arise. It did soon thereafter when my Bronco got a flat and I required their expertise. They repaired the flat, remounted the tire, and speed-balanced the wheel for me at a very reasonable price. One year and three auto shops later i've finally found the reason for the *clanking/clicking* noise coming from the brakes on my RAV4 that were done at LesMoney. If you hear it while braking at very low speeds, it's more than likely the aftermarket pads (which need shims). I drove with the service tech at Toyota of Seattle for less than 5-min and he instantly knew what the problem was. I find it odd that the "brake specialists" at LesMoney didn't hear anything and told me there was nothing wrong. Even more troubling was the suggestion that I needed my Struts replaced for a whopping $1800.00. I'm DONE. read more

Popped my tire on the Ballard bridge around 4:55pm one day, turned right into Les Schwab and even though they were booked they looked at it anyway and told me it needed a new tire but he was able to just put one on right away for me and I was out of there by 5:50. Took my car here the other day for new tires. After I got my keys back I noticed my car looked like it had been rummaged through. The glove box was all messed up and my things were not in the same place that they were in throughout my car. They also stole a tool out of my car and replaced it with a cheaper version, like I wouldn't notice. Do not recommend going here. They also stole my iPhone cord. read more

I am still stuttering, almost speechless, when I heard no charge. No charge! That's almost un-American these days. My car had a flat tire sitting in the basement garage of my Belltown high rise. Fortunately, the stellar maintenance staff in my building had an air compressor. I blew up the tire and drove to Ballard and Les Schwab. They were packed at 8:30 on a Saturday morning, and told me to leave the car with them. I knew that they would have to research and find me a new tire, because my pretentious, unnecessarily expensive bandaid for my fragile ego, called my car, had rare tires. I hitched a ride home with my wife and waited for the phone call from Schwab. My wife took the phone call about an hour later, disengaged and told me the car was ready. "Huh? What? You heard wrong. What do you mean the car is ready? Let's head over there." I walked up to the long counter at Schwab, reminiscent of a rental car airport counter, and gave the young woman my name. "It's right out back. You had two nails in the tire, interestingly in the same hole. We pulled em out and the tire's all fixed." "Wow, that's amazing, thank you, thank you, thank you. What do I owe you." I pulled out my credit card like a confidant gunslinger. "Nothing. You owe us nothing." My mouth flew open, my head shook, and all I could say was "What?" She handed me my keys and pointed to the side door and said, "Turn to the left." I am still in a state of shock. What a pleasant surprise after a week inhaling noxious forest fire smoke. I had a different issue, we have a small John Deere 2720 tractor with 23" front tires. They constantly kept going low or flat. I worked with Ken at the shop on 116th Place in Broomfield. I love the Les Schwab in Ballard! I've been getting my tires there for a long time. The other day I had a light come on to tell me that my air pressure was low. As a recent widow, I didn't even know what the PSI should be and so I felt a little freaked out. I pulled into Les Schwab to see if they could help me and they checked and filled all my tires, answered my questions (I now know PSI should be 35!) and couldn't have been nicer about the whole thing. And of course, did not charge me for any of it. I can't recommend these guys enough! read more

I got a tire that was showing much lower pressure than the other three even after filling them all to 35 psi. I went to Les Schwab Ballard Bridge before they opened and joined the long line. As soon as they opened the doors the line moved fast. I left the car there for the day and the tire got fixed the same day and at no charge. I can't be happier! Knew i was getting to where i needed new tires but wasn't planning on handling it any time in the next month. A flat tire during peak tire season forced the issue and i found myself in line at 7:45AM at Les Schwab behind 15 people because the day before they had stopped taking walk-ins when i called--eek! It was a cruddy situation and no one likes dealing with car maintenance but these guys were nice, thorough, and honest. And, side note--i came back here for tires rather than somewhere else all because of my first experience with them last year when i popped in and bought chains. The guy working took the time to demonstrate how to get them on using one of the tires on display when i asked about it and i just thought that was really going the extra mile. So, here i am! I am so grateful for this location of Les Schwab. The south Seattle location completely failed me. I had gone in with concern because one of my brakes was making a terrible grinding sound. They told me I was fine and sent me on my way. It was still making the sound so I chose to go to the Ballard location. Because they had helped me well in the past. When I got there. They knew instantly that my back brake was not okay. It was metal to metal. And noticed that the other location had completely neglected to check the rear brakes or they would have noticed an issue.
