Very legit customer service here! I've brought in two different cars for oil changes and minor maintenance and each time the process was quick and painless. During both visits I was checked in and helped by Greg (Or Gary? His name starts with a "G"...) who seems to be the main man at this location. This guy is great ! The most recent time I came in I had a coupon for $15 off an oil change - not only did he honor this coupon but he even took a look and found another coupon that applied to me, saving me even more $$$. Much appreciated! In addition to excellent customer service, the crew here is quick. I assumed that a location in the middle of Downtown would be slow moving due to more customers but I was wrong. They even have coffee in the waiting room (albeit pretty gross...but still, it's coffee) along with a bunch of magazines to keep you occupied. I will say though - other than a great price on oil changes they do seem to overcharge for other services. For instance, I had a headlight out at one point when I went in (and I knew that the bulb to replace it costs about $10 or less) but when they quoted me a price to change it out they tried to charge me 2-3 times as much. Ehhh, no thanks, I'll do it myself. They will also be sure to try and tack on extra services along with whatever you go in for, so be prepared to listen to what else your car "should" have done to it. read more

I only waited maybe 15 minutes in there before Greg called me out to the computer to discuss my options. Greg gave thorough advice regarding my options. I appreciated that he was upfront about the various "levels" of oil changes, breaking down what I was really getting for my money and what it would do for my car in terms of performance. I did not feel pressured in any way, but went ahead and got the $68 synthetic blend for my beloved Hyundai Tiburon. I even got 10 bucks off that price for being a first-timer. I love this place! I have been going here for years - and even new people who work there who don't know me will gladly fill my tires up for me if I feel they may be low. No charge. I also thought to swing by there today when my engine light came on. They hooked the machine up to it and told me what was wrong - again quick and free. This was my first trip to this Jiffy Lube. My car's check oil light came on so I took it in for an oil change. Come to find out, the oil wasn't low and the light had simply malfunctioned. The staff still checked the other fluids and all of the light on the car. They refused to charge me, too. The staff was really friendly and honest. Found this little jem using maps, and it turned out to be the best desicion I made . The employees were extremely helpful and very entertaining. Fast, fast, fast. That is the best thing about Jiffy Lube. The hours here are pretty good as they stay open till 6 pm. I was cutting close getting here at 5:30 pm, but they got me in and out quickly in about 10 minutes which is excellent. The fact that it is in Belltown near the downtown Seattle urban core is a plus for those working in the area including me. The guys working were friendly. The signs for $29.99 oil changes are complete B.S. unless you have a car that would be old enough to buy smokes if it were human - newer cars usually recommend higher quality/synthetic oils which will end up costing you significantly more (more than $80 just for the oil change for my car), which can be surprising for newbs. I was shocked that there was actually a Jiffy Lube in Belltown, but it's nestled in between two building on 4th. The service was great and the technicians were friendly and fast. I received an oil change on one car and was so happy with the service I returned with our other car to have it serviced as well (lights). The technician I worked with told me that I'd save a ton of money (nearly 50%) if I went to AutoZone and bought the lights, then brought them back and they could install them for me. I appreciated this tip and went to the AutoZone in Central District (maybe a 12 min drive) and picked up the lights. When I came back to Jiffy Lube they installed the lights for me and even helped me put on new windshield wipers. I appreciated the help and how personable the staff was. If you live in the downtown/Belltown/SLU/Cap Hill/Lower Queen Anne area and actually have a car, I'd HIGHLY suggest stopping by. Keep in mind they're not a full service body shop, so they won't be able to do everything here, but take a look at their website for a breakdown of the things they can handle Also a cool fact, 2 women work here too! When I'm not able to change my car's oil myself, I usually prefer to make an appointment at a local auto shop to spare me from all the relentless upselling of unnecessary services - I know how to change my own damn air filter and wiper blades, thank you very much! However, this Jiffy Lube did a fast job and didn't lay on the baloney too thick. The employees were presentable and courteous, and they also vacuumed out the car and cleaned the windows. Just a tip - read you car's owner manual and follow the manufacturer's suggestions for both the type of oil and oil change interval before you take it into any oil change shop. Many newer cars these days require the more expensive full synthetic, but can also easily go 7,000 miles between oil changes. The 3,000 mile oil change interval that most oil change shops recommend never had any basis in reality - even with regular oil. I choose this location because it's conveniently located downtown, and I had previously noticed that there's usually nobody in the bay when I drive by in the evenings. Ever since I bought my '92 Cadillac Brougham hearse, doing mechanical maintenance has been a nightmare, expensive at best. I definitely signed up for some of it, but an oil change should be no sweat, right? I don't normally sit around writing Yelp reviews, but I was in and out of the downtown Jiffy Lube so fast, I thought this would be a nice way to spend some of the saved time. Usually places that don't take appointments are packed by 9:00, so I came armed with a laptop and plenty of reading material, expecting to spend a good chunk of my day there. There was virtually no wait when I arrived on a sunny Friday morning. The waiting room was clean and comfortable, although I didn't spend much time in it. They changed my oil, refilled my windshield cleaner fluid, put air in my tires, washed my windows, replaced a gasket, and even vacuumed my car. It may seem like a small thing, but when you drive a giant custom car with lots of floor space in the back, it's really nice to get a break from having to vacuum it yourself! In addition to the quick, thorough service and convenient location, I also appreciated the professionalism of the staff. The way they're set up is such that the customer can view everything the representative is typing on the computer, so you can see exactly what you are (or aren't) being charged for. They alerted me to routine maintenance that should be done in about 7,000 miles or so, but didn't pressure me into having any extra services done that day, which was a refreshing change. I didn't have any coupons and they didn't have any specials running, so I paid about $45. True, there are cheaper places in town. But for me, it would mean driving further from home, a longer wait, and questionable service. I'm glad I gave this place a shot. I was pleasantly surprised! read more

I used to take my car here and my girlfriend still takes hers. They are always fast, friendly and courteous. The prices are more than reasonable, especially being the only auto shop in the downtown area. They offer a lot of freebies when you get a service, so you leave satisfied for what you just paid for. They will try to up-sell you though, but I suppose that is to be expected. They aren't pushy at all if you just say no. Never had a problem personally with them, I just have free maintenance now, so I go to my dealer instead. I would have continued going here if it were necessary. read more

I have gone to the Duvall, WA. Jiffy Lube for 12 years, it was great people and great service! But with that new manager who seems to fire all of the employees I find that the service I get is not what it use to be. To me everyone seems nervous not happy, and rushed. I have had to come back with things that were forgotten like water and air in my tires. While that manager just stands around adds stress to the customers and employees. read more

The tech told me I was too early for an oil change based on my mileage since last one. I stopped by the downtown Jiffy Lube location recently with an unexpected oil leak and was pleasantly surprised by the level of service I received from Mao and Sara. The Jiffy Lube team definitely went above and beyond in helping to diagnose the oil leak, identifying and replacing a faulty seal, changing the filter and providing the replaced parts in a bag for me to take back to the dealer who performed my previous oil change. Took my first car here for oil changes back in 2010. Just recently gotten a new car and came right back to the same Jiffy Lube. They do great work here, the service is stellar, the employees are fast and not pushy to try to get you to purchase extras that you don't need. They finished my oil change sooner than I expected! It's rare that you find auto shops right in the smack middle of downtown, sandwiched between buildings. But it's very convenient for those who work/live in the surrounding DT area. You can always find something to do nearby (food/shops/etc) while waiting for your car to be serviced. I love the fact that they have women mechanics here. The maintenance reminder sticker they put inside your windshield is printed out, so no worrying about the usual marker writing fading in the sun! There's always plenty of parking. The hours are great (open pretty late on weekdays!), open 7 days a week. No need to make an appointment for oil changes, just first come first serve. The pricing is reasonable, and they honored the coupon I printed off online. I will continue taking my car here to be serviced over all the other JL locations! read more

I just took my car for an oil change to this Jiffy Lube on 4th Ave for the first time and I must say I am not satisfied at all with the service. Here are the primary reasons: 1. They always try to up sell you things you don't really need. 2. They are are already more expensive than most other oil change facilities and the advertise price of $41 is only for the first 4 quarts and not the standard 5 quarts like in most other places. That means that if you have a car that takes more than 4 quarts of oil and most new cars, specially imports take more than that, you will pay an additional $6/quart (For example, my Volvo S80 V6 took almost 7 quarts) 3. They said my windshield wipers were shot and needed replacement. I know that is now true for two reasons. First, I just replaced them about 4 weeks ago with a fresh pair of the top brand. Second, I checked them myself right there on the spot and they are still good as new. This makes me doubt any other up sell tactic they offer. 4. After refusing any up sell options and commenting that I will be using my $15 off coupon, mysteriously they said they could not perform the oil change b/c my oil plug on the bottom of the car was an "emergency plug" that need to be replaced first. I have always had my service done at reputable places and somehow I have a feeling they switched the plugs on me, but of course I can not prove it. 5. There was a nice young lady in the waiting area with me and I also overheard how they were trying to take advantage of her lack of car knowledge to up sell her on things she did not need. I would not recommend this particular Jiffy lube to anybody. They don't seem to be very friendly and are a bit shady to say the least. You would be best served taking your business to another place. read more

I feel hustled. The mechanics told me my car was special and it only took a certain type of oil that cost $80 and that I didn't quality for the $29.99 special. After multiple conversations with coworkers who were more car savy than I was, I learned that you can use any type of oil and I was the victim of a shady transaction.
