I had a great experience at Jiffy Lube in Sherwood. I arrived early, and they were ready to get me in right away, which I really appreciated. The service was efficient and professional. They changed the oil on my 2001 Ford Econoline van with 97,000 miles and also checked all of my lights. They discovered my left backup light was out and provided a reasonable quote to fix it. I approved the repair, and they took care of it quickly. Overall, everything went smoothly, the pricing was fair, and the service was excellent. Took my car for an oil change. Paid significantly more than I have for an oil change in the past. And then half way home, the splash plate came loose and scraped for a good while before I was able to get to a nearby Valvoline for repair. Will not be returning after this experience. read more

When I pulled up to this store, the "Open" sign was off, and the place looked closed. I drove around back and saw the garage doors open. As I arrived, one employee turned to the others and said, "Here they come." He then told me they keep the "Open" sign off because "it's bad luck to have it on." Really? I highly doubt the owner feels the same way. Immediately, the employee demanded my name and address on a clipboard, despite my telling him I was a regular customer. He claimed that names disappear from their system after a couple of weeks. That set off alarm bells for me, and to this day, I'm monitoring my credit. You'll soon understand why. Long story short, they charged me over $160 for an oil change and a "top-off." Aren't top-offs supposed to be free? Isn't that Jiffy Lube's thing? I never left my vehicle, and I never actually saw them top off anything. When I questioned the outrageous price for conventional oil, the employee responded, "Oh, we used full synthetic. That's what you've had before, according to our system." I said, "I thought I wasn't in your system? I have NEVER used synthetic in this vehicle." He stammered before backtracking: "Oh, uhhh, I mean, I would never put conventional in a vehicle like this." I caught this guy lying multiple times as I rejected every up sell he presented. This was a total scam. I will NEVER return, and I've warned a LOT of people about this place. Avoid it like the plague. I'm sure the owner will post an "apology," just like he does for all the other bad reviews, without ever actually fixing the problem. It makes me wonder if this is how he trains his employees. Do NOT go here for an oil change. Oh, and for the record? I checked. The DEALERSHIP charges HALF of what these clowns did for a full synthetic oil change--and they do a MUCH better job. I had oil dripping everywhere for a week because these guys didn't fully remove the rock guard covering the oil pan. Go here ONLY if you feel like getting ripped off. read more

I usually go to a different Jiffy Lube, but the Sherwood one is on my way home from work and it seemed like a time saver. I had been pleased with my usual Jiffy Lube and I assumed they are all similar. Boy, was I wrong! When I drove in, it seemed like they were a bit short-staffed, but so many places are in these post-pandemic days. We went through the usual headlights, breaklights, blinkers check and then I asked to wait in the waiting room. Soon, an employee came in and told me my coolant level was low and asked if I wanted it to be topped off. (Of course!) Then she said it would be an additional $8 charge. When I told her I had never paid for a coolant top off before, she explained that different franchisees have different charges. Begrudgingly, I agreed to this charge. They finished quickly enough, I paid, and got into my car. I noticed there had not been the usual interior floor vacuum and asked about it. "We don't do that here." I asked if they checked my tire pressure. "yes." I looked at my receipt and noticed it said they had cleaned my car windows (they had not.) When I questioned it, the other employee said, "Oh, do you want your windows washed?" At this point, I had reached my BS quotient, and I just wanted to go home. I smelled oil all the way home and when I got out of my car, I noticed smoke coming out from under the hood. When I lifted the hood, there was oil everywhere because the oil cap was missing! I immediately called them and she asked me to come back to get it. Oh, but, it would have to be the next day because they were closing. I got ticked and told them to Uber me the oil cap now if they had to, I was planning to go out of town the next morning. She called the manager and then sent the employee who had changed the oil. He replaced the cap and wiped some of the oil off the engine with rags that he'd brought. The next day, my tire light came on. Grrrr. By this time, I had lost all confidence in the work that the Sherwood Jiffy Lube had done and took my car to my usual Jiffy Lube to check my tires and make sure there was really a new oil filter installed. When I explained what had happened, the employee said, "sorry you were another victim of the Sherwood Jiffy Lube." They filled my tires (that had NOT been done) and said I needed a coolant top-off (so much for paying $8 for nothing!). A crew of 3 guys then wiped down the engine with degreaser because there was still so much oil everywhere. As you can imagine, I will NEVER go back to the Sherwood Jiffy Lube. read more

Jiffy Lube in Sherwood scammed my teen age son and charged him $230 for an oil change! My husband and I encouraged our 17 year son to be responsible and take care of an oil change in his car. It was the first time he has needed an oil change on his base level Honda civic with low miles and has been very well maintained. Not only did Jiffy Lube charge him $110 for a basic oil change they upsold him an additional $120 worth of unnecessary services. When I went to speak with someone, I was told that there was no manager available or on the premise. I am disgusted that a local business would take advantage of an unsuspecting teenager in this way!! read more

I am actually amazed to see good reviews about this place. Despite all the past negative reviews about this particular store I continued to go here because it was convenient. Besides the upsell I was usually satisfied when I left and just chalked up other people's bad experiences to complainers. My time finally came. They offered to clean my light lenses for $40 and I thought why not, It will be nice to have them clear again. Whichever tech did the work got over spray on the paint next to the light lenses and now the paint is blistered. Instead of owning up to it the manager argued with me about it and refused to do anything about, he was rude and argumentative. He told me to call another manager and after calling many times over a week and stopping by several times they continue to ignore my calls and don't call back. Scammers!! Beware of shady illegal practices. My husband took my Prius in for an oil change and first off I've never been charged more than $65 for a full synthetic oil change and they charged $97.98. The next thing I didn't find out till a few days ago, but on our recent road trip we got a small crack in the windshield, so while my husband was getting the oil change they offered to fix it and just needed the car insurance info. I get a call from my Insurace adjuster a few days ago just to get my story in the crack and how big and how it happened, and the adjuster let's me know this facility was trying to way over charge for the repair, so much that it would have caused my premiums to go up. This was the tiniest crack which is still visible in my windshield even after fixing. Beware these guys are scammers, don't take your car in there. Just my experience. read more

So just an update, they lost all of my tire caps, didn't install my windshield wiper correctly, and also did not put any air in my tires. When I opened the hood of my vehicle there were two caps (probably from oil containers) sitting down in my engine compartment just rattling around. I am writing a review about the manager, Ethan. I came in with my 2008 Toyota Prius. I am a nurse and worked my full night shift schedule and knew there was only a window of time in my schedule to figure out what was wrong with my car. I came in right after my shift, tired, physically and emotionally drained and frustrated about my car. I originally came in thinking my car needed a flush for the radiator due to air bubbles. My Prius was having gurgling noises after you turn off the engine. Ethan was so patient, was so kind and truly listened to what my concerns were about my car. He spent his time looking into it and trying to fix the suspected problem. He truly had exceptional guest service! Thank you so much for calming my nerves and trying to help me with my car!!! I took my disable Aunts Mazda V 2012 into Sherwood JiffyLube.prior to the service the vehicle was in good standing. Simply needed an oil change, and a filter change. Both were done with the vehicle, and the oil started releasing oil. The manage told the woman i care for that it was a "Oil Sensor discharging the oil" but could not give me a code that discharges oil. To my knowledge if workin on automotive i have not one experienced a vehicle code from on board computers that have shown a leaking or discharge of oil. Prior to me coming in, i asked for the work done to be printed with an email and the work done after both visits, & also be put into a personal email from the manager (Adam) in question. The night prior (October 22nd) i spoke with another manager and they told me once again- the same time as my disabled Aunt- that it was. Sensor issue for dispersing oil. Simple Problem. Complex issue for the employees. I am not the owner of vehicle in question: This business made a mockery of me in front of other guests and further. Now this vehicle is going to MY family mechanic for damages and to rectify the minor problem. read more

This place has a sign that reads value oil change for $26.99 the guy that did my oil change charged me $27.99. I asked about the price and he stated the price went up but have not got the new signs yet. Then they took out my dirty air filters and asked if I wanted an overpriced one I said no and that I had new air filters on my back seat. At that time the guy says to the oil tech to put the dirty filters back in. This place use to have good service but not anymore. I would go elsewhere for an oil change. This will be my very last time spending any money at this location. Be aware they really like to overprice stuff and sell you stuff you don't need. I have to say, I don't think I've ever run into such genuinely nice guys while getting an oil change before. They did my oil change quickly, were super nice the whole time, didn't try to sell me on a bunch of stuff I don't need (that's the fastest way to make sure I won't ever return), and sent me on my way. It feels weird giving a Jiffy Lube 5-stars but thanks to the service they deserve every one of those stars. It was an oil change so there isn't a lot to say other than that, but it was such an easy, pleasant experience that I'm willing to drive out here for my oil changes from now on. I'm adding this late but thought is was worth mentioning. On my next oil change (this time at the dealer) I was told that the oil plug was cross-threaded and needed to be replaced ($100). On a good note, Jiffy Lube did reimburse me for it later. read more

Worse experience ever going to a jiffy lube. Spent 3 hours there for a simple oil change and brake fluid. It took them 3 times to Figure out how to bleed my brakes right. The first time they were testing out my brakes one of the employees left my E-brake still half way up while driving around it, didn't even apologize for the mistakes and didn't even offer a discount for wasting my time. I have using this Jiffy Lube ever since it opened. I can't even remember how many years ago that was. I always had fast very friendly service. Plus I always recognized one of the employees. Wow how times have changed I have been here 30 minutes and they just now finished one car. At this rat I'll be another hour. When I checked in I was informed that the synthetic oil I always use was only good for 3000 miles not 7000 it used to be so I need to buy a more expensive oil filter. I'm not sure if this a nation wide corporation problem or only here in Sherwood. From what I can see they are no longer Fast and I can't say I trust what they say. I had called prior to going to jiffy lube and the guy on the phone lied to me about the price of a tire rotation. Said it was 10.99 when it was actualy $25. Also told me i would recieve a free oil topoff. When i showed up after my 30 minute drive i was told in total everything would be around $35-40. We took our car there and all they did was try to sell us more services. They claimed to have changed the oil but only took it out. Our daughter drove for a week with no oil and now her engine is blown. When we called we got different stories from each person we talked to. These guys suck. Don't take your car there. When we took the car to get fixed the shop said the inside of the engine was covered in dirty oil and if they had put oil in they used old oil. They confirmed that new oil was never added. After talking to people about this others have had similar experiences from Jiffy Lube. All they did when confronted of the situation was give us the run around and cover there ass in lies. Two stars because they successfully changed my oil. When checking my air filter (even though I said not to.. as if I can't change my own), they pulled it out anyways. When putting it back, they left some of it disconnected, causing an emissions leak engine code. Seems like a no brainer to put it back together the way you found it... read more

I was a loyal customer for 15 plus years at one point taking in 4 different cars but the last 2 or 3 oil changes seam to keep going up. It seams like I paid about $65 after coupon last time but today it was $85 after coupon. The last time I went I in and asked for the discount they told me I had to have a coupon the price I was a little taken I reminded them of my long standing patronage but I was told the new manager was very adamant about having the coupon or there was no discount. I was able to retrieve one online and had my oil changed. But today when I went in and it was over $100 before the coupon to have my oil changed I called Valvoline 3 miles away and got it done for $65. Jiffy Lube you lost a loyal customer. read more

I'd seriously recommend not going to this particular Jiffy Lube. Service was terrible slow and they ended up installing my air filter backwards. In doing so a bunch of lights popped up on my dash. When all the lights came on I made an appointment with a Subaru Dealership. They in return informed me about the air filter situation. It was quick service, inexpensive and they didn't try to push extras on me like they do at most oil change/service stations; they did INFORM me of the extra things (bulbs out, for example) so I was aware of them and could relay the info to my step dad if I wanted. read more

Don't ever come here for anything. I went in to get my oil changed, and I never imagined they could mess up an oil change. They damaged my oil pan and tried to blame it on me, asking if I got into an accident recently. And no, it's been a year since my last accident and it was when someone rear ended me. So now after I got an official report from my mechanic, I am trying to get them to pay for the damages they caused and they are absolutely denying everything. I spent about $350.00 on a complete fluid change for my BMW X 5. Oil, brake, PS, etc. The work included a new air filter. A few days later, our engine malfunction light came on showing decreased power. We had to take it in to BMW to look into it. Come to find that Jiffy Lube installed the oilf filter cap, but forgot to install the filter cap seal, which left the oil system without the necessary pressure to work properly. The seal was apparently lost or misplaced, but regardless they put the car back together without all of its parts. I had to have the car checked out, the parts replaced and the warning system re-calibrated and reset. Total cost to me - $ 549.00 Thank god my engine wasn't damaged and that I took it it right away. With this, the total cost of my jiffy Lube oil change came in about $650.00. I had BMW go through all of their work just to make sure there weren't any other thing Jiffy Lube screwed up. Lesson learned - If you care about your car, don't go there, especially if its not a domestic vehicle. You would think an oil change is just an oil change, but apparently not. At least Jiffy Lube leads you to believe that it is. My best friend had a similar issue with Jiffy Lube a few years back which did cause engine damage. I should have listened. I hope those that read this listen. No more Jippy Lube for this family. read more
