We discussed various options based on what I could afford and what is safe. They replaced all 4 spark plugs but only 1 coil. I walked across the street and had an excellent lunch while they fixed my 2014 Nissan. Then a miracle happened: they accepted my expired TiresPlus credit card which means I can pay over 6 months with no interest. Ultra and Dimitri took good care to get my car running nicely again. Years ago, TIRES PLUS really screwed up an A/C repair job in my old Honda. (Installed a new compressor without flushing the system. Etc) I totally lost faith in them. And warned anyone that would listen to not return. However, not long ago someone reccomended them. Said that it was new management and much improved. I've had several transactions there since. Dealt with SCOTT, the "new" to me manager...And it's true. It's a whole different atmosphere and I don't get the feeling that they have a bunch of vocational school kids working there. The last two visits Scott reccomended options where I could save money. This is fantastic customer service. One of my cars is there right now for repairs. I once again trust this establishment. And I'll still be telling others about my experiences here. But now it's because of good things! Well done. read more

Frustrating Experience... Either be walk-ins only or appointments only... Not both!!! I had booked a 7am appointment and expected to be seen to first. Got there at 6:50am, and two guys were already waiting at the door. One without appointment, and the other with a 7:30am appointment. They were serviced ahead of me, and as only one mechanic had turned up, my car sat in the car parking space until 8:30am before it was moved to the workshop. This would piss anyone off. So, I got my brakes fixed, and then I was told I was very low on oil, and that they would top it up for $120. No way! I refused it and when I checked the level myself at home the level was perfect. I have been going to this Tires Plus for over 10 years, but I no longer trust this establishment. My car overheated last week and the manager Ray (or Rey) quoted me at $594 for parts and labor, and it cost me $40 for them to look at my car and find out what it needed, so it would've been a total of $634 to have the problem fixed. I thought that was a lot, and I told him that. He responded by saying "If you think it's high, you should price it out with the dealer." After calling the dealer, they quoted me a TOTAL of $350 after taxes for both parts and labor for the exact same service. I hadn't told the dealer what I was originally quoted, so they weren't trying to "beat" any amount - it was their natural quote for parts and labor. That's almost a $300 difference. When I called this Tires Plus back, Ray, the manager picked up, and I told him what the dealer was quoting me. He offered to beat their price. So my thought was - if he could afford to beat their price, then why would he have upcharged me almost $300? I'm going with the dealer to fix my issue. 4 weeks ago An hour and a half to plug a tire!!! I should've known better and it is Sunday but it needed fixed. Service was fine and it was only $20 but if you need a tire plugged go to a repair shop at a gas station and NOT on Sunday. (I went to 2 that were closed...and the tire was losing air in he meantime) I believe they should be able to prioritize the repairs according to difficulty. I should've been out in less than 15-20 min. 2 stars for these guys not knowing any better and just doing their jobs, can't blame them. 12/22/17 Damn it...same thing happened to my car but this time they hooked it up and got me out in 20 min but charged an extra $10 (so $30) because it's a different car?!?! They are not transparent with their prices online or in store. The only reason not to be upfront about costs is if you're charging different prices for different people. Took car for full synthetic oil change and work order shows they charge $83 for $23 oil( Search Walmart for Pennzoil 0W-20 Full Synthetic). I went to tires plus because I knew I needed front brakes. They told me that I didn't need brakes, I just needed my fluid flushed. Fast forward to a week later, my front brakes start grinding I take it in to another Tires Plus location and they tell me my brakes are at a zero and need replaced ASAP. $400 later and new front brakes. I will never go to this location again. They let me drive off with bad brakes. They needed to be done at that time but they didn't even take the time to check them. Update 5/14... I always go here for my car needs. Sometimes taking your car to the dealer can become very expensive. Not to say that this place is cheap, however reasonable. I have been here multiple times and every time has been a good experience. The service is fast. Make sure you make an appointment though, I find that some days they are more busy than others. Bottom line: took a long time, feel swindled, not confident in the job done. Update: contacted email listed in reply, did not hear back. Went to another mechanic and was confirmed of my suspicions, had a lot more problems with the car than a dry a/c belt... Brought the car in at the time of my appointment. Not a busy weekday (I was the only person in the lobby waiting) and my car sat untouched in the parking lot for an hour while I waited for an oil change and tire rotation. Desk employee upsold me a full car inspection for an extra $10. Asked the desk employee to take their time with the inspection. (I know there are a few things wrong with the car and I want to see if they find the source of the problems.) With the $10 off coupon I brought in, it came out to $41. Firestone does oil changes for $20. So I paid double. Timeline: Appointment at 2pm Car in parking lot til 3pm Car returned to me at 3:30pm How am I supposed to believe an oil change, tire rotation and FULL car inspection was done in 30 minutes? They also didn't find the problems I know the car has, but recommended I get a drive belt for $170+. Could've rotated the tires, done the inspection and changed the oil instead of "waiting for the car to cool down" and it would've taken way less time and I'd believe I'd got my money's worth. Instead, I paid an extra $10 for some mechanic to poke his head under the hood and say "eh, your timing belt kinda has some dry rot going on. Everything else looks good." Customer came in as I was leaving was told "there's a two hour wait for an oil change." read more

I dropped my car off for repair, upon picking it up, I noticed the problem was 2 times worse than before they "fixed" it. When I ask why? They shrug their shoulders. I am so upset that they ruined my car and upset I trusted them. Now I have to spend a lot more somewhere else to figure out the real problem. read more

Great service. Extremely honest. Had been told by the Firestone tire company off of Cleary rd that I needed my brakes replaced ( about $300) and went to Tires Plus for a second opinion. Not only were my brakes fine but the mechanic showed me what to look for when my brakes actually needed changing. All at no cost to me. Very happy with this experience. I will definitely be back. They seem friendly and car-savvy and they are bullies, Prince's attention is excellent, but he is just one more pawn, at the headquarters of Sunrise (University Dr), the manager Raymond Rivas does not have a soul of service, he just likes to get him out keep an eye on the customer and drive them away, their unprofessional treatment. I took my car to do the oil change in January 2020, and apparently everything was good, at 3000 miles, I had to change it again and I went on Friday 5/29/2020 and they told me they could not get the screw / plug where it is the oil, I told him that they were the last to make the oil change and they only told me to speak to the Manager, turning out to be a rude and stupid man, who after asking him what had happened, it only occurred to him to say that my car had 21 years and if I wanted to open a case I would do it in the corporation !!!. well it really is very unpleasant and annoying to have this kind of people. What is important is that the headquarters change people more professionally and with a higher level of service and knowledge. doesn't even deserve that star! read more

I have a BMW 2 series when I bought the car, the car came with regular tires. My right rear tire went flat and had a nail in it. By me driving to the nearest tire place I shredded the tire, all my other tires are good I had got some new ones not that long ago. Fast forward... I went there and the manager told me that I had to get a run-flat tire. Now if all my tires were run flat I would have no problem purchasing it. But then he said that because of the type of car I have, I have to get a run flat. Makes zero sense to pay extra for a run flat tire when the rest of my tires are regular. Sounds like greed to me. We've been utilizing this Tires Plus location for many years, for THREE of our personal vehicles. We've also referred this location to many friends and associates of my husbands firm. Moving forward, we will not use this location again and will encourage others in our community, as well as my husbands firm to refrain from utilizing Tires Plus. Today, my husband took one of our three vehicles in because the tires were making an "odd" noise. Shortly after my husband dropped our vehicle off, he received a call from Tires Plus stating the tires are "cupping" and he needs new tires. However, the existing tires are STILL under warranty. This vehicle was at this exact location two weeks ago and there was no indication of tire cupping. The individual that contacted my husband did not look at the the previous work order. When my husband asked if he looked at the previous work order, the Tires Plus Representative requested my husband to be respectful. Are you kidding me?! We have been extremely loyal customers to Tires Plus, as previously mentioned for many years. Due to the lack of Customer Service, as well as nickel and diming, we will no longer utilize Tires Plus. If you're looking for an honest, loyal and Customer Service friendly tire firm, this is NOT the place for you!! read more

I came here in a desperate attempt to have my car serviced because I was having an issue with the alternator belt and could tell that I didn't have long before my car would be inoperable without having it fixed. Upon walking in, I was greeted by 3 men at the desk, all of whom had DISGUSTING, NASTY, RUDE, personalities. I have dealt with several auto care companies and this was my first time at Tires Plus, and I must say I couldnt have gotten out of there quick enough. When asked why I was visiting, I told them that my battery light came on and so I had just stopped at auto advance to see if it was my battery, to which it was my alternator belt - which I expected. Not only did they laugh and say that auto advance was "not as smart as them" (I am not kidding), but they then belittled me, implying I didnt know anything about cars, and that it could definitely be the battery and not the alternator belt. I walked in at 4:20 and granted, they closed at 5, but I figured I would try my luck and asked if it would be possible to have it serviced today, to which one of the rude fellows replied, "well you walked in at 4:20 and its 5" in the most snarky manner. Okay, no problem. I said I had to get it fixed today because I needed to drive around the following day and asked for my keys back. OF COURSE, I shouldve expected it, the other man THREW my keys at the counter and SLAMMED the door on the way out to the servicing area. I probably stood there for a full minute in shock before I picked up my keys and booked it outside. To be honest, my sister and I were appalled and bewildered as to how this place is even open with the way they speak to customers, their competitors, and even treat their patrons. I should've yelped the place earlier to see that it had trash stars to start with, but that was on me. Please do not come here, because you'll walk out feeling worse than you came in. I did however, go to Pep Boys (Sunrise) for the first time also, and had such an amazing experience with kind, caring employees and had my car fixed quickly and without issue. read more

I went in for two tires, tires plus claimed my battery was at risk. I went immediately to the Mazda dealer as my battery was still under warranty. Mazda did the same test. Tires Plus was a false report and my battery wasn't at risk at all. Shame on them for trying to scam me out of a battery. read more

They appear to be very friendly but at the end of the day they just want to swindle money out of you. First off, getting new tires for a price lower than online was a 5/5. BUT the job done looked sloppy. But then they started to talk about how my car needs this and that. Then, when it was returned to me, the car had a bit of smoke coming out of it! I've only experienced that when my car overheats and it was not overheated when I got it back. Interestingly enough, the smoking supports the $400 problem my car supposedly has. The guys up front are very friendly and apparently knowledgable. Unfortunately it's the rest of the experience that is so frustrating. First both of the wheels that had tires replaced were scratched and had to be repaired. When they told me they used this wheel repair guy a lot I knew that was a bad sign. Why would a tire place damage so many wheels that they needed to have that kind of a relationship with a wheel repair guy. Then the TPMS light kept going off intermittently. First time I came back they assured me it would eventually reset itself. A week later with the problem persisting I came back and was advised you need to take it to the dealer to have it reset. We can't do anything else. As if spending another hour driving back and forth to the Nissan dealer was just a routine thing to do. Ask the dealer to reset it for free and oh well this happens all the time!!! NEVER AGAIN!!
