On Saturday, May 13, 2023, I took my car in for an oil change. Jiffy Lube #892 in Union City. I noticed the terrible oil leak pooled in my garage, so I returned my vehicle to this location so they could fix the breach, as this is a newer Dealer serviced car and there was NO leak before this oil change. They claimed to have fixed it when I took it back three days later. Then I noticed that it was still leaking after I'd been driving it (at least 60+ miles). Now, I am afraid I may have damage to my engine. No apologies, no offer to refund me the $90 it cost me when I clearly must now take it to an actual qualified, competent mechanic. the manager at this jiffy lube is a theif!!!!! She stole my pandora bracelet from under my back seat, after she vacuumed my floors; I purchased this gift for a family member today!! the oil change was the last thing on my list, and I came to this place right after purchasing it! I literally live up the street, less than 3 mins away, since I had out of state tags, she probably thought I wouldn't realize the missing bracelet by the time I made it home, but she was wrong. not even ten mins after I left there, I made it home and went to retrieve my items from the back seat, and the pandora bag was ripped open! I immediately called the police, and drove right back to this crooked store! I spoke to this lady when I originally pulled up for the service, and I know she was the manager; so when I returned to this crooked store, I went up to her first and told her that one of her mechanics stole from my backseat; she then acted as if she had no clue what I was talking about; then I asked her who vacuumed the back seat? she stated she did, I then took a deep breath and I told her I called the police and they're on the way, and I am pressing charges because you are a thief! She came outside and stated that she doesn't vacuum the back seat, (which is a lie) she just said not even a min ago that she was the one who vacuumed the floors. Then my boyfriend and I asked her again, and then she stated she vacuumed, but she didn't see any bags in the back (which is a lie)!!!!! both gift bags were in the back! She didn't take the apple products because that would've been too noticeable, she went for the pandora bag which had 3 charm boxes and then the box with the bracelet in it! The Pandora gift bag comes sealed with a sticker, that you have to physically rip open and remove the tissue paper to see the items, this lady stole from me, from my family member and I am not stopping till she no longer has this job and this jiffy lube is shut down!!!!!!!!!!!! Of course the police officer couldn't do much because it was her word against mine, and of course this crooked place doesn't have any surveillance cameras, but I am not letting that stop me!! Do not give this place your business!!!!!!!! It is the holiday time and how disrespectful to steal from someone, let alone be a manager for an establishment and having to set an example for your employees and be the one to violate people who are giving you business!!!!! This jiffy lube location opens at 8:00. It's currently 8:06 and the mechanics are not even on site yet. When I knocked on the door at 8:02, the receptionist put her finger up and with a terrible attitude, said, "Ma'am! Give me a minute." Two minutes later she came to the door and said, " we open at 8 when the mechanics arrive." I said, "it's 8:04. Do you know what time a mechanic will arrive?" With another terrible attitude she said, "they know what time we open. When they get here, we will open the doors." I said ok and then she pulled the door close as hard as she could. It's currently 8:12. A mechanic arrived 5 minutes ago but has not serviced or spoken to me yet. I will NEVER come here again. Well, if you're in a hurry to have your oil changed, I sincerely recommend that you take your car or truck somewhere else. They are SLOW. For starts, when I pulled into the parking lot the technician immediately told me that they were running behind because the system was down. "The system is down" what does that even mean? I'm here for a oil change. 1 and a half hours later my car still ain't ready, for a oil change. I didn't come here for a tune up, transmission flush, timing belt, I came for a oil change. The lobby area was filthy. The floors were not swept. Trash on the floor. The lobby tables were old. The chairs were uncomfortable. I didn't even venture into the bathroom because the lobby was so nasty. Then the tech came into the lobby and asked me the strangest question. He asked me if my car was a Tarus. First the service is top notch!! Friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating! I already knew what the first issue was so they fixed that. They showed me the actual problem, showed me my new parts compared to my old and fixed it...for less than the shop across the street was quoting. Unfortunately there was still another little issue stemming from the first problem that needed to be fixed. I actually overheard him saying that he knew that was the issue because he moved the bad part to another pout and it wasn't doing it again...AND it was at a lower price (I googled the price for area shops) I was very pleased! read more

They went out of their way to contact the dealership down the street for the part and gave a great price for all the work I needed to have completed. I wish I could give a NEGATIVE star rating... This one star is by dafault ONLY!!!! I've taken my car to this location for oil changes for about 3 years now. My car was practically new and I take pride in keeping it up! On Aug 7 I went in for an oil change. They recommended that I get back brakes soon. They said my back brakes were 20% and my front ones were 80% and had a lot of life left. I returned on Aug 27 for back brakes and was told by Joey that I need front brakes and my back ones were fine. As a female, I don't know so I trusted them. I noticed them squeaking after the work was done but thought it was normal for new brakes. I drove on them for a few weeks but the squeaking was still there. I returned October 15 (when i had a break from work) to have them checked out again. I was quoted a 30 minute wait but ended up waiting over an hour. The Operations Manager Jeffrey Ashmen test drove my car and agreed that something was not right. He says he shaved the rotors and that it should be fine. IMMEDIATELY my car sounded a lot louder when I stopped, yet again... I thought this was normal. The next day I could barely stop and it sounded like metal on metal! I returned Oct 23 to have them checked out for the 3rd time. The "brake specialist" (tuh) test drove my car and immediately said something was wrong and asked his coworker who did my brakes and he said Joey! The "BS" said they weren't done right and it would take about 30 min to correct. I knew that was a lie from previous experiences and asked if I could return the next morning. He said he would be there at 8am. I arrived at 9:20am and had to wait for him to get to work... 10:25ish. (A TOTAL DISREGARD FOR MY TIME... EACH TIME!) After he finally got to work, he tells me that my back brakes are completely gone. When I spoke to Jeffrey again, he quoted me $260 to correct because by now my rotors are gone! PLEASE help me understand how it took this long and this many attempts to fix for PROFESSIONALS to determine my back brakes are gone? Did they change the wrong set to begin with? Why did the story change from come tomorrow and we will fix it for you, to we never touched your back brakes? If I am unable to stop and THEY NOTICED that something was wrong on multiple occassions, why allow me to leave? What rotors did Jeffrey shave? Because it didn't get THAT bad until he touched it! I feel raped and robbed! I work hard to keep my stuff up and I feel like the took my money, wasted my time and BROKE my car!!! Now that I've been riding metal to metal since Jeffrey touched my car, I have to replace rotors. The dealership quoted $470! FOUR HUNDRED and SEVENTY freaking dollars to correct their mistake! I've complained at the store multiple times, I've called corporate, tweeted and retweeted, left Facebook messages, filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, written multiple reviews and am still waiting for a response! My next step is to contact Clark Howard and WSBTV. I want a FULL refund and a copy of my service history report. I REALLY want them to pay for my rotors as well because they allowed me to drive on them KNOWING they messed them up! I have been taking my car here for a few years now and I always receive great customer service from the time I walk in until I leave. This past weekend I went and was told I needed some type of flush, my battery cleaned as well as a cap that was missing (covers your break fluid). As a single woman I felt a lot of it was unnecessary and this guy was just trying to get me to spend more money. However, he went on to explain the reasoning for everything needed. He let me know in a very nice and professional manner I had a good car but I needed to a better job of keeping up with it. Needless to say because of his professionalism I agreed & trusted what he was saying and had everything done. When it was time to pay, let's just say the cost didn't break the bank. Everything was still in a decent price range, I was even given a discount. The best part is my car was running so much better and I could tell immediately after pulling off. I'm not a sure of the guy's name but I know he was the general manager, very professional and very knowledgeable. Anyway, I thank him and will always recommend this spot to others!!! read more

I went in to get an oil change in December 2014. I usually go with synthetic oil, since my truck has quite some miles on it. The total came up to be around $90. A bit of a stretch for me, but I went with it. They took about 10 minutes to service the car and had me on my way. 1 star for that. 1500 miles later, my oil light came on. Turns out it was out of oil, so I put ONE quart of Shell oil. Lasted me until today, while I carefully observed for any leaks. I don't know if they forgot or they didn't put enough in there, but these mistakes can cost A LOT. Sent a complaint through their website, another star for Chuck assisting me with this matter, sending me a gift card close to the amount of the oil change. If possible, ask to see them perform the work, or check it once they're done. read more

I would not recommend this place to anyone, not even my worst enemy. I looked for an oil change place in my area and I came across this Jiffy Lube. I always had great service and reasonable pricing from most establishments, except when it came to this one. I pulled up and was approached by one of the staff, he proceeded to run down the most expensive service they had which came to $89.99 plus tax. When I stressed to him that was too high and even pulled out receipts from other locations which offered the same service for $35.00 cheaper, he said he could knock off $10.00 (Which I already had the coupon for) and that was the best he could do. I politely thanked him and drove off and was able to go into the Firestone across the street which did my service for me for $49.99, the same price I was paying at the other Jiffy Lube locations. Not sure what made this location so special, they could charge $40.00 more, but whoever the manager is.. They need to have an all employee meeting with a focus on price gouging. WARNING! DO NOT GO HERE! Transmission service was paid for on my 2002 Expedition and it leaked on the way home and a puddle of transmission fluid has left a stain in the driveway of my home. I took it back to them and 20 days and seven visits later it was finally completed. A refund was supposed to be issued to me for the service and it is a month later and I still have not received it! They would not compensate me by refunding my oil change for the horrible experience and my gas and time. Corporate acted as if I was bothering them with the complaint, very un professional and not concerned in the least! I am usually not one to complain. This is 2 months after the foolishness I went through (still going through). The waiting area is disgusting! There are ants and filth everywhere. I told one of the workers and his response was just ok. Though the oil change went well and my car runs amazing. I haven't had a problem yet! Customer service is good and they don't take forever to change oil plus they offer other services. I think my favorite part is when they vacuum my car I went to another location and they didn't do it and I was pissed because they lied about doing their job. I saw one review that said there were bugs in the waiting area...maybe they have been hiding EVERY time I go (which is quite often because I go every 2-3 months) then again it is a waiting room for car maintenance so you cant expect a red carpet and caviar! Anywho my windshield was so clean & clear that it seemed as if I was driving without a windshield! I LIVE for a great review but it's up to you to have the experience. Good luck! read more

It's Nykia A. from 10/26/2015 again and I still wish I could give a negative star rating. This location told me that I needed rear brakes. I went to have them installed and they changed the front ones instead. PROBLEM 1. Immediately after leaving, my car drove worse. It was making a loud sound and barely stopping. PROBLEM 2. I returned multiple times to have the issue resolved, but they would not. The district manager even quoted me $260+ to fix. PROBLEM 3. I filed complaints with the BBB, here on yelp, via email to corporate and phone calls. Still no resolution. Well yesterday, 5 months after getting "new brakes", I COULD NOT STOP. I went to Sears and had to purchase new brakes for $158.01. My new service receipt reflects that my front brakes were on 0% and the lining was *2mm or below. I would not recommend taking your car here AT ALL if you value your belongings and time!!! I filed ANOTHER complaint with the BBB today. I am pitching my story to the news, as well as consulting a lawyer. I called the location yesterday and was told to bring my receipts in to be faxed to customer service. That does not work for me. No faxes were made when my daughter and I were sliding through red lights and stop signs, nor when you took my payment and did piss poor work. Took my car in for service on December 3rd 2015 my hard case card holder wallet fell out of my purse onto the floorboard of my car, although when I returned and noticed it was on the floorboard later I realized my bank card was stolen out of it and one of the employees actually gave it to his girlfriend and they used my card at two locations thank goodness I called my bank because it probably would have been you more than that. Called corporate they kind of downplayed it end result due to my diligence and not allowing it to happen to anyone else the employee was arrested on the job only to find out later the employee had a past theft history. read more

Do yourself a favor and look up Jiffy Lube on Youtube. They are a total scam. This place did sloppy and incomplete work. Terrible service and I will never go back to a Jiffy Lube. My oil cap and dipstick weren't replaced completely, I was blatantly overcharged, they never washed my windows, didn't vacuum, nor did they top off any fluids. My engine was also a quart of oil too low. How do I know...I sat there and watched them the entire time. I am tempted to go to the Better Business Bureau because one mistake and my engine would be toast which would cost thousands to fix. Because of their proximity to my home and time constraint, I got my oil changed at that location again May 2018 after promising myself to never return. BAD MOVE! This time around one of the clips to the air filter casing under the hood was snapped off during their routine check ups and the broken part was hidden near the fender. Unfortunately I noticed it a few days later. They topped off my antifreeze and spilled it everywhere without cleaning it up. One of their techs was going off using profanity because he lost his wallet or something; his supervisor had to apologize on his behalf. Prior to that last visit, the technician yanked the plastic guard under the car and left it hanging I guess to reach the oil filter. Also they did not wipe off the oil spilled near motor oil cap. When I asked the tech about the hanging plastic piece she agreed to bring the car back around and fix it but her boss over ruled her and claimed the car came in that way.
