This place had a few fewer stars than I would normally be comfortable with, but I really needed an oil change and didn't want to push it any longer. My daughter had a game, this was the closest option, and I decided to give it a try; and I'm glad I did. They quoted a 35-minute wait (I for a synthetic oil change and graciously declined the filter change), but finished in about 25 minutes. When I got my car back, my windows had been cleaned and the carpets vacuumed, which was a pleasant surprise and completely unexpected. Overall, the service was efficient, thoughtful, and exceeded expectations. I'm giving them five stars... they earned it. Bonus - google to see if they have online coupons prior to service. Horrible experience. They try upselling every possible thing, not knowing the history service of the car. Since I was headed out on a long trip, I agreed to replacement of wiper blades. The next day on my journey when heavy rain started; I engaged my wipers. The driver side immediately flew off upon starting hitting the car behind me. I could barely see and somehow managed to pull over safely. I had to wait 2 hours for the rain to calm. A truly horrible experience.. Never Again! read more

I have been very impressed with the Jiffy Lube in Vauxhall. Earlier today, I started hearing a strange sound under our car, and wanted to have it looked at as soon as possible. Jiffy Lube does take appointments - but you can also just walk in. Anyway, I pulled in, and the mechanic immediately knew what the problem was (something a family member had also diagnosed... by video). Anyway, they took the car right in, and within ten minutes had fixed the problem. The mechanics explained what happened, how they fixed it, and what I'd need to do for maintenance. They provided this service at NO CHARGE - which was amazing and unexpected. Friendly, fast, and fixed! Highly recommend. read more

Today I went to Jiffy Lube on Springfield Ave in Vauxhall, NJ 07088. The service was terrible. I waited in line for over 35 minutes like any other customer, and other people arrived and were served outside the shop, and others even cut in front of me while I was in line! What I understood is that they were giving preferential treatment to close friends for some suspicious reason, while I was waiting in line like any other customer! For me, it's the most unpleasant service I've ever received at that shop, and I've been noticing this for quite some time now! I wouldn't recommend it to anyone! read more

Great simple maintenance shop. Oil change was fast and they provided more than valvoline who decided to discontinue their larger coupons, and could only find $7 off... But found $15 off here and couldn't be more satisfied with the service provided. Free coffee, vacuumed my van, did it fast and under $30 which is what I wanted. Clean facilities, nice waiting room, clean bathroom. Optional upsells for services like brakes and filters if needed, definitely a time saver to go here rather than a mechanic. Definitely will return. read more

While I understand many businesses have struggled following quarantine to even approach functionality, this Jiffy Lube franchise seems to be turning away business for no other reason than they would just rather not be bothered. I went there for an oil change yesterday and was told the wait would be more than two hours and that I should come back first thing this morning. As they opened at 9am, I arrived at 9:15... only to be told again that there would be a 2-hour wait and that I should come back in the afternoon. I drove 15 minutes to the Jiffy Lube in Cranford, NJ and they got me in and out in less than a half-hour. For anyone in reasonable driving distance to either of these locations, I suggest picking Cranford. read more

Great team of service members. I called ahead to see how busy it was. Really nice guy on the phone, Darbin, along with each mechanic in the garage (Roshan & Copeland). Waited behind only 2 cars but was in and out within 35 min. Incredible service. Car was returned cleaner inside than I left it. Will return 100%. read more

Beware the upsell! Holy crap, I can't remember the last time I was pushed so hard to up my ante and spend outside of my comfort zone. I showed up for a simple oil change and got talked into doing much more. Admittedly, I didn't agree to anything that wasn't of benefit to my vehicle even though I probably didn't NEED it all, but at the same time, it felt slimy and I could tell the guy was trying to hoodwink me as much as he could. I think there is either pressure to do that, or they are trying to position themselves as more than a lube joint. You should do this, you've gotta do that, your car will perform better if you swap this out, etc, etc. Hey, fool me once, right? They did a fine job but I just didn't like the way the whole experience felt. Not sure I'll be back for that reason alone. read more

I spoke to Jose on the phone and he was nice over the phone and in person and informed me that I could get a walk in oil change today. The tall, older white man that works here was rude from the moment I got there and continued to make rude comments within customer earshot. If I wasn't desperate to get an oil change and wasn't already there, I would've left. Not sure why it says "vacuum floors - completed" and " wash exterior windows - completed" in my service checklist when neither were done. I paid $125 for an oil change. I'm sure I could've gotten it cheaper with much friendlier service. I've worked customer service most of my adult life and how this business manages to stay open while being completely disrespectful to customers is beyond me. I really just cannot believe how I was treated, much by more someone more than twice my age when I was never even rude to them to begin with. There's absolutely no excuse for blatant disrespect like that. No matter how rough your day is, sir, there's no excuse for taking it out on others. I've been here several times and have had no issue with their efficiency and cost. It makes me very uncomfortable, however, to be sitting in the waiting room and have to here the manager (who sounds like a mansplaining asshole) constantly demean the female sales clerk who has always been very sweet. Dont talk down to women, don't constantly interrupt women, don't use words like stupid when describing their actions. I plan on boycotting this location on the basis that I can't support an anti-women toxic male environment with my dollars. read more

As a young woman, I always brace myself when getting my car serviced because people usually try to up-sale to me and offer services not needed. My expectations were exceeded today. read more

I called to ask what their current wait was and the person told me could not tell me cause i was not there and the line can get bigger or smaller, but that is not what i asked so i told him I understood but asked if he can at least tell me what the current waiting time was, he again reported the same response. I told him again i understood but just needed to know what it looked like at the present moment and he was so rose, he lashed and repeated for the third time the same response! I explained for the third time i was not asking for accuracy understood that may change but what was the wait at the present moment to allow me to make a decision, the asshole just repeated it again laughing like out was a joke and this was a game! Never have i ever been so frustrated and offended! I would never give my business to a place that can't even respect a potential customer! He could have told me it was 3 hours and I still may have passed by and waited but because he wanted to be a Dick I chose to take my business somewhere else permanently! I wish I could give this particular location no star. Well it was my first time there and a guy informed me that I would get a deal. Not true, I felt like I got over charged. I only went here because I was going on a business trip and desperately needed an oil change. I didn't wait very long, and I HATE WHEN a mechanic tries to take advantage of women. He calls me up and says look you need to change these air filters. I stated 'no thank you, I'll take it back to the dealership' and he went on to say how much more I'd have to pay. Who cares? Left and felt like something wasn't right with my car but I couldn't put my finger on it. Next my car started leaking OIL. I then Decided to take it to the dealership, only to find out that the guy never screwed the cap back on and my oil had been leaking out-- so by the time I took it to the dealer, it was basically bone dry and I had no oil. I really wanted to take it back to jiffy lube and rip them a new one, but I will never ever ever go there no recommend anyone to go there. I don't want them touching my car. Those mechanics have no idea what they are doing because they are too busy trying to make you spend more money. The demeanor of the sales person who I regularly deal with is unpleasant. At last visit I arrived and stated that I would like an oil change and nothing else. Despite my saying that, he told me that he "remembered some issues from last time" that he wanted to look into. He told that I had engine knock when in fact I only had a mild ticking associated with low oil level (and so no tick or knock was present after the oil change service). He suggested a transmission fluid leak was present and told me " this car will have serious problems soon", which may be true, but he made no offer of service to correct the issue, or recommendation of a garage where it could be fixed. Finally, he offered to replace a burned out fog lamp bulb and when I refused, he suggested that a recent customer had been pulled over for failure to repair a similar issue. Pulled over by police for a burned out fog lamp? I doubt it. After this last visit I have decided to find somewhere else to get my oil changed. read more

Do not use the Vauxhall Jiffy Lube on Springfield Ave. They changed my oil and then told me my transmission was leaking fluid. Turns out my oil pan was leaking and I will have to have the gasket replaced as well as the oil. They should have not put oil in a car that was leaking oil and charge me. Would you pay for a drink in a leaking glass? When I called they did not offer to refund my money for the oil change. As far as Jiffy Lube trying to get you to buy servicing you don't need, I think that's already been covered by some other reviewers. Long story short: STAY AWAY. read more

After seeing all the poor reviews this place has gotten in the past, I was very reluctant to go for service there. But I decided to give it a try. Perhaps they have made some changes in their management recently because I am happy to say that I had a very positive experience! The staff was friendly and welcoming and the service was performed in a timely manner. No one tried to sell me anything that I hadn't gone they're looking for. Don't ever come to this place. I just came to replace my engine splash shield. The guy here replaced the new one I brought without putting all screws in because he said this part did not match my car. When I came home it turned out that he put it inside out, and put front to back!! . That was why it did not fit. I came back and politely asked them to fix. I normally have an ok experience at this location, but yesterday their service was horrible. Oil change was done at 79,652 miles but they put a sticker on my windshield noting to come back at 70,914 miles. My tire pressure light did not go off after running a few errands so I had to go back for them to adjust it since clearly they forgot to do it during my oil change. I arrived there around 5:45, the area manager (the one who calls you to the computer to try to upsell your service) sees me pull up, mumbles "fu*k," goes into the bathroom stares at me for a second and then slams the door. Not sure what was going on with him but he was rude after I didn't agree to replacing a filter. One of the other guys was adjusted my pressure and he was nice about it. I paid $20 for a tire rotation but I don't think this was done either as the tire that typically gets low was still on my front driver's side. I'm giving three stars because I don't typically have a bad experience there, but yesterday's service was definitely one star and that's enough for me not to return this location. read more

I was told that air was added to my tires but the one I was most concerned about looked the same as when I entered plus the air cap was missing. I had to double check that fluids were filled because I don't think they did it last time. It is conveniently located however and next time I will stay and double check their work like I am dealing with children who need supervision. read more

Came in for a car wash, this place was recommended by a friend of mine. I thought it was quite overpriced. I own a Toyota Corolla just to give you an idea of the car size and if I take it to the summit car wash I pay around $16 and it includes the vacuuming and the exterior wash. Over at this place I paid $32 because the $19.99 package did not include vacuuming, it only included the exterior wash. Overall I wasn't happy with the price nor with the work they did. I had to touch up the windows and the tires after they were done because they were dripping water. Will not be coming back. read more

My usual oil change destination had other people running the office when I entered, first thing in the morning, and although I have been a regular and known customer for years, these people didn't know me from squat. Therefore they told me for a simple oil change it would be at least an hour's wait. I told them I wasn't waiting and walked out the door. Their loss. I thought about where I could go for a quick and reliable oil change and Jiffy Lube came right to mind. I located my nearest location, went and was ultra pleased with incredibly fast service, I didn't sit more than five minutes in the waiting room. Very happy overall and their crew had a good attitude.
