Synopsis - This is the place to bring your vehicle for fast and convenient service, and great employees. I noticed most of the reviews are from the past years. I would take previous reviews with a grain of salt as there may have been different employees working there at the time and they have since moved on. I stopped by for an inspection and was taken in right away. The gentlemen working were incredibly respectful and got me in and out in less than 15 minutes. The waiting area is clean and comfortable and the guys keep you in the loop with anything going on or any services needed. I've been bouncing around trying to find a shop that is understanding of street legal mods on my vehicle, and I've finally found my place. I won't go anywhere else nor will I ever recommend anywhere else from now on. You really can't beat the price or the value for your time by heading to Jiffy Lube. On July 22, 2025, I visited Jiffy Lube, located at 950 Durham Rd., Wake Forest, NC, to recharge my vehicle's air conditioning system. After the service, I returned to the car parked out front and immediately noticed no noticeable improvement in the AC performance. I assumed it might take some time to feel the effect while driving, but unfortunately, the system never improved. Today, I returned to the same location to report that the AC was no colder than before the recharge. I was told that there may be a leak in the system. When I asked why this wasn't addressed during my initial visit, I was informed that leak testing isn't part of their service, as they are "not mechanics." I was also asked whether I had explicitly requested a leak test, something I wasn't aware I needed to ask about. Frankly, I find it unreasonable to expect the average customer to know all the correct technical questions to ask in such situations. I relied on their expertise to explain the potential issues and limitations of recharging an AC system, beyond simply confirming that the compressor was functioning. That didn't happen. In the future, I will not use Jiffy Lube for anything beyond basic oil changes, the service they're best known for. Based on this experience, I would strongly discourage anyone from relying on them for anything outside of routine maintenance, especially given their admission that they are not qualified mechanics. read more

This place is beyond slow. I came in for a 5 minute safety inspection and it took them over an hour to even get my vehicle into the bay, when I was the second person to arrive that day. No apologies for the slow service, no reason given, just beyond slow for something so simple. Meanwhile, the other customers waiting got to listen to the workers trying to figure out if they actually completed their service correctly and completely. WARNING: Use at your own risk. I wish I had read reviews prior to going for what was to be a simple oil change! Instead, it was a long and exhaustive fight due to neglegance and abuse of power! I have read many reviews about oil leaks and engine problems, which were my issues. I fought a long and arduous battle. From filing a complaint with the BBB and the AG Office to a winning court case. Employee came over and asked what I needed. I replied "oil change". He instructed me to wait behind vehicle that was on lift. I ended up waiting more than 20 minutes (still in my vehicle) and they were still working (3 employees!) on the vehicle that was on lift, meanwhile two other bays were open. This place is the slowest ever. Two cars in the stalls I'm next 35 mins and then they ask what oil I want. Seriously.

my 84 year old mother in law went for a inspection they told her she just needed to drive vehicle 50 miles so she did when she came back they pulled it in and said everything is fine but you need front breaks --she called me and I had her bring me the van --brakes are fine they said 2 mm left and they were squealing--brakes have over 1/2 the pad left they wanted 450 dollars for a front pad replacement --they should be ashamed trying to rip off a 84 year old woman --glad she called us --took it down here ad it passed with no issues at a local shop --when i questioned the lady at the front counter she got mad and wouldn't speak to me --this is why you don't take stuff to places like this unless you want to get taken advantage of read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. The manager on duty late afternoon on 2/23/25 was doing a very poor job of managing his business. He was too busy sitting in his car on the phone. He walked right past me, cell phone glued to his ear, without even acknowledging my arrival and asking what service I needed. None of the other staff came out and asked either. I sat in my car for 50 minutes waiting. When a new person pulled up, the manager and two staff members (apparently that warranted 3 people's attention) finally came out to address their needs. At that time I got out and asked if they would like to inspect my car today and I was told they'd be with me in a few minutes. Not cool. I went inside to the waiting room and heard a couple of other customers complaining in the waiting room. One guy had been there for 2 hours for an oil change, tire rotation and inspection. At that point they hadn't even finished the oil change and he had been told they would not be able to do the tire rotation because their equipment was not working. Given that there were plenty of staff members standing around and an open bay, there was clearly an issue with how this store was being run, among other things, I left. read more

Wasn't too sure about going to a 2 * place, but they had older reviews, so let me put your minds at ease. :) They were friendly and had smiles on their faces when I pulled in. I needed an oil change and an inspection. I was the second car there and in and out in 30 mins. They were helpful and explained what they did. Ashley found a $15 off coupon for me as well! Staff was great but they couldn't change the oil on my Chevrolet K 2500, because their lift was rated for 9000 and my truck was 9500. They were prompt, attentive and very apologetic for the issue but I understood and went 3 miles down the road to a Jiffy Lube with a pit instead of a lift. FYI. If you have a larger truck. read more

An hour to patch a tire due to a screw. One knowledgeable tech trying to run the entire shop that is understaffed. Truck sat on the rack finished for 25 minutes while the tech worked on three other vehicles and answered the phone and did all the data entry for the vehicles. All the fancy marketing pieces saying all the right things strewn about the facility about exceeding expectations. Ahhhh let's just take some baby steps toward meeting them and not worry about exceeding anything. read more

Had 4 tires installed this morning. First customer of the day. took 1. hour to instal l. 4 workers all talking ,smoking and yucking it up. One guy working. About half hour, guy comes in for inspection. Maybe there is a reason why no one else came during the 2 hour install. when not cutting up, on their phones. Service was slow. In my opinion, it should have taken 45 minutes and that would be with one guy. 4 workers should have been a pit crew at NASCAR. Enough said. read more

I hope this is the right place to post my comments about the Jiffy Lube in Wake Forest, NC, that is across the street from the Walgreens. I usually save my enthusiasm for writing about food on yelp but the service I received today at the Wake Forest Jiffy Lube was so outstanding that I'm here to go on about car stuff, something that usually excites me as much as sports on TV. With a limited amount of time this morning, I set out to get my gunky oil changed. I stopped first at the Snappy Lube in Wake Forest and was told it would be a 20 minute wait. This was something some guy who must work there shouted at me as he breezed past me with a takeout bag of breakfast in his hand. No thanks, Mr Hungry Man, I'll take my business elsewhere. The Jiffy Lube was pretty much just around the corner. I pulled up to the bay and a young man quickly came out and asked if I was wanting some Signature oil change today and I said I wanted my oil changed even if I didn't know the proper name for it. He ushered me into a clean and bright waiting room while pointing out the free coffee, magazines, paper and TV. He then ran through a list of options for my oil change. I picked some $89 and change job since I know how I run my poor car into the ground before doing anything about it. Once that was cleared he and his crew got to work. In addition to changing the oil, they vacuumed my car, and washed all the windows and the dash. The guy who was taking care of me the whole time there brought some filter jobbie and something else car-related to me and said this one would last through another oil change or two and the other probably another three oil changes. He then ran through a list of stuff recommended by Toyota (since that's what I drive) for my car (when to rotate the tires, when to do whatall...) with absolutely no pressure to have anything done before it's time. I really appreciate that this information was presented to me in such a no hardsell manner. There's a list as long as my arm of stuff they checked while doing the oil change. They topped up fluids here and there and that was part of the package, no extra charge. When they were all done, someone drove the car around so all I had to do after paying was hop into my little ride and take off. The service I received there was excellent and I don't hesitate to recommend it to anyone. I should mention the whole oil change and extras had me in and out of there in about 15 minutes. That is Jiffy, indeed. And a pleasant, pleasant experience all around. read more

Avoid this business I had approximately 5-6 "High Mileage" oil changes until I realized that was only a small bottle of additive I was told it was their high mileage oil When I spoke with a regional manager he was belligerent and bordered on rude I went to them since they're locally owned Never again read more

Idiots. Never bothered to put a sticker on the windshield. Had to go back and get one, which I attached. Never bothered to reset oil life computer setting so I know when to go back. Took forever to get done. Won't be back. You should avoid these idiots too. read more

I've been a customer here for a few years and have always had great service. Typically not a very long wait (especially if you plan to arrive at non peak hours) and service is quick. Also, I always use coupons here and makes price comparable to other service centers. read more

Went for a simple oil change on my 11 year old vehicle. I said I was running across the street for a couple min, do you have any questions or do you have my phone number if case you have questions? The guy said we are all good. Come back 15 min later to get vehicle and what should have been $38 was $80!!!! They took it upon themselves to put in the most expensive oil there was. I had my oil changed and tires rotated at this location last Wednesday. Friday morning I noticed a slight odor while driving to my first customer but didn't think anything of it. Upon returning to my car after an hour visit with my customer I noticed a sheen under my car. As I got closer I noticed the huge puddle of oil under my car. I immediately popped the hood and checked the dip stick and it was dry. I had the car towed to my dealership so that they could check the car over and make sure there was no engine damage. They confirmed that the drain plug had fallen out causing the engine to loose all of its oil. I had been going to this location for the past 4 years but will not be using them Any longer. read more

I was in this store across from walgreens on Sunday December 29th. Very un happy with service: Sent E mail to corp no answer: Left after oil change tried wipers to clean windshield no fluid in washer. Said they washed windshield and vacummed floor: neither happened Toook it back filled fluid apopogized. Never again: I am from N C my invoice had old south Carolina lic on it with old s/s address. How can these people stay in business: I read someplace that jiffy lube gives senior discount No didn't get one. I went to JiffyLube in Wake Forest this morning. Until now I have had great service but today it wasn't I was told that all my fluids were top off after pulling out I turned my windshield wrappers on to clean the windshield there were no cleaner in there . I asked if they put any cleaner in before I got in the car they said yes . How can you depend on them to change your oil if they don't tell the truth.After going back and confronting them they fill it up . I was charged $90.00 with no coupons added or given. If you are charging people and they pay you should be told the truth and the work should be performed. I am a black female senior citizen and I feel I was lied too. Ruby read more

DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE I brought my car in this morning and I was the first customer of the day. It took over an hour for an oil change. I was not in a huge rush so no big deal but I expected half the time. I parked the car in the garage - two hours later there was a pool of oil under the car and my tire pressure monitors were telling me tires were not properly inflated. After calling back to tell them I was bringing the car back, I had to wait 15 minutes for the manager to return. I am not 100% certain the oil was changed the first time since the oil in my garage was very dark. I do not believe it was changed until I brought the car back. Fortunately no harm, other than a couple hours of my day. But horrible service!!!!!!!!! read more

WARNING!!! This Jiffy will try to LUBE you!!!! I brought in my company car for "just an oil change please" on 10/03/13. While I waited in the lobby, store personnel called the firm that manages and approves work for the company vehicle WITHOUT ASKING or telling ME. They told the managing company that the air filter was dirty and needed to be replaced and that the tires needed to be rotated (they did not as I had recently had that done at another shop). No store personnel ever asked me about doing any of the extra work and were way out of line in going around me to get approval from the firm that manages the fleet of company vehicles. I complained at the location and got no where. I called the regional manager and his reply was, "gosh, I'm sorry." Needless to say, I contacted my company's fleet manager (nearly 4,500 fleet vehicles) and explained what happened. I will do no more business with this operation. read more

Highly recommend! Started going here for a quick oil change (and because I had a Groupon), and was very impressed with their customer service, expertise and willingness to talk through any questions. Also, they do not try to sell you anything you don't need or want - what a refreshing change from most car service centers! Do not use this company. Had a routine oil change yesterday and an oil lake in my garage this morning.

I caught a flat tire while I was near this Jiffy Lube. I was lucky enough to make it to the shop. The guy who looked at my tire said that it was damaged quite badly and there was no nail within that tire. He then gave me 3 to 4 slips with different tire brands, warranty coverages, and prices. He told me that I would need to replace that tire as there's nothing they can do to fix it. He mentioned something about a belt in there that is broken. Again, I am not a car person so I couldn't make much judgments about it myself. The prices he gave me ranged from 150-300ish. He told me that the tire I have right now, Michelin, is going to be the 300$ ones which have a 65,000 miles warranty. After he mentioned that, I remembered that I haven't had those tires for too long and when I got all four of them changed, it was only around 600$ at Sams club so 300$ for one tire was ridiculous. I ended up asking if he can just put on my spare tire which he did. I ended up getting charged 25ish for that service which they claim that it included rotation. The next day, I took it to Sams Club to get it checked out. The technician told me that there was a nail that went really deep into the tires but they got it out and everything is fixed. They noted that he had put that tire back onto the car and the spare tire is also back in its place. I asked him about the "broken belt" and needing new tires which he stated that it's nonsense besides I've only driven around 20K miles with those tires. I didn't get charged a single penny for their service. Moral of the story, I wouldn't trust this jiffy lube. read more

My experience today is similar to that of another individual who posted a review. I went in for an oil change and a vehicle inspection. I was there for close to two hours. That by itself is not necessarily a problem. However, several individuals who checked in AFTER me were taken care of before me. And that is probably because they did the oil change and forgot to do the vehicle inspection, and then had to put it back in line to do it... Even though I told them I wanted both and the vehicle was initially parked in the line FOR vehicle inspections. Seriously. And to make matters worse, they got oil all over my beige car mat. This is in a car that is a vintage muscle car that is no longer in production, that only has 21,000 miles on it, and is absolutely immaculate. So you would think that people would exercise a little more consideration. I will never return to this place again. Also, when I brought it to the attention of the person at the front desk he did not seem particularly concerned about it. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE! I took my 2014 Forester in for an oil change. They charged me $151 for a oil change, a filter change and a tire rotation. They didn't bother to fill the tires up afterwards. The tires were all low. Lazy employees who act like they are on purple drink the whole time. They left oil prints on everything. The picture of the employees shown look nothing like the employees who actually "work" there. Another customer was complaining in the waiting room because they ripped his brand windshield wipers on purpose then wanted to charge him for new ones! read more

I went to jiffy lube in Fredericksburg, va. for a basic oil change. Quoted me $72 for a basic oil change and refused to take my coupon because it came from the richmond market. Whats worse is when I send a note through their website, they fail to respond. read more
