Great for convenience. Monday I was in and out within 25 minutes which was nice. The price is steep but I do feel confident in the quality of work they do here. Went with a synthetic oil change for my Silverado truck and the total was $130. I had a coupon I found online which brought it down some. I would highly recommend using a coupon if you're going to come here. Paying for the convenience of having a shop do your oil change is nice if you can afford it. Today I took my truck to get a scheduled oil change around lunchtime. I called ahead of time to see what the wait time was looking like. They mentioned to come in now as there were no vehicles in the bay. Got there 10mins later, pulled up to an empty bay and was greeted by Desmond and Cherish who took my info. Technicians asked all the logistical questions while I waited in my vehicle. I was pretty impressed with that. I was in and out with 10-15mins! I only go to Jiffy Lube just for the convenience aspect, but this one legitimately is one of the better ones. Let's face it, with the right equipment, anybody can do some of the basic car maintenance that needs to be done. But it really does take superior training and effort to give superior customer service. Both of the young men who spoke to me were polite and knowledgeable. Arrived around 8:15 and there were a few cars in the mechanic bay. After waiting a few minutes, I was then greeted with a big smile from Jay. Jay got me checked in and reviewed everything that was going to be performed on my car today. You have the option to wait in your car during the oil change, but I opted to wait inside the reception area. I kid you not, after waiting a total of 15 minutes... Jay comes in and said my car will be ready in a few. In a few? I thought wow, that was quick! I love the fact that he didn't try to up-sell unnecessary stuff for my car. This is the first time I visited a Jiffy Lube that didn't try to sell me stuff I didn't need. All of the guys working here are super professional yet personable at the same time. Went to get a oil change. Would have gone to my local jiffy lube but my light went on and didn't want to risk getting stuck. There were 3 cars ahead of me so knew I'd be there a minute but their waiting area has waters, TV etc so it's not bad to wait. I was there 1.5 hours to have my name called up and the words "yeah we didn't do an oil change on your car today" I'm Sorry what? So what did you do for the hour and half? The kid didn't know what to say but that I didn't have to pay anything and I was free to go. No explanation, nothing. I called later to have the "manager on duty" say they've never worked on my type of car (a VW) which is really weird because the jiffy lube near me has worked on it For The 20 years we've had it. Just want to give a shout out to Robert and Alfonzo at the Harbor location. Took my car in for an oil change and unfortunately the skid plate wasn't put back on correctly. I ended up going on a road trip to L.A. on the way, it came undone and I ended up dragging it for 200 miles. I ended up going to Jiffy Lube in Long Beach and they removed it so I didn't drag it all the way back. When I got back, I let them know at my location, they apologized and ordered a new one for me, no problem. Great experience and much appreciated. After oil change they didn't put things back properly and the car made noise driving after I left. They didn't close the access flap back up. Which caused it to drag and scrape itself off needing repair. They said I bottomed out my car. It's low and I know NOT to do that that's why I made the car that way, so they lied to cover their a**! When I came back they made me wait in a 2+ hour long line ruining my Saturday plans. Management sucks here. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE SERVICE Came to get my car an oil change (My car was running PERFECTLY FINE with NO ISSUES when I came in) After leaving, on my way home, my check engine light came on and my car started making a crazy rattling sound which it has NEVER MADE BEFORE. I returned straight to their shop only for them to give me some bullshit excuse and tell me I need to get my car taken to a mechanic shop and get it checked out. I can assume this will probably be thousands of dollars to fix. I will make sure Jiffy Lube is held responsible for any damages or repairs as my car was FINE when I came in. There is no coincidence and I am positive they did something wrong to mess my car up. This is not the first time, either. The customer facing techs I have experienced here are unappealing and unapproachable. I have only experienced 3 of them but it's for sure enough to keep me from returning. I was told they could not get my battery replaced because the nearest parts store sold it for more then they sell the battery I need? Don't make sense. Anyways while I was sitting in the lobby I over heated a guy pushing differential fluid swap in a Toyota Camry. Told her that her rear end would go out if she didn't get it done in the next year. I scratched my head and over heard the lady agree to the service. I patiently waited for the tech to leave the room. And as soon as he turned the corner I informed her that her car does not eve n have a differential and that service is bogus. Im not sure how that played out as I had to leave to a different service center to get a battery. But I'm not into that kind of stuff so I will never again return. Came here two days in a row and both days I left without an oil change. Day 1 - no cars in line at 5:30 (closing time is 6:00) so I think I'm in luck. Pull up and am immediately greeted. I ask for an oil change and the response to my request was in the form of a question - right now? Yes... well turns out the tanks/pumps were full and they had to be manually drained which would take about 20 minutes and since they closed in 30 they couldn't do the oil change. However, I was encouraged to come back the next day at around the same time to see the same employee and offered a discount. Day 2 - same time and still no cars in line. This time I was feeling really lucky. Until...I pull up and nobody is in sight. Finally a couple of guys come up from the bottom of the floor and say "Ok let's get this last car done so we can close!" Then they decide who will greet me and one kid comes to the car. I say I want an oil change and he responds that another rep will be coming to help. By then 4-5 guys start coming back to their posts. One of them comes to the car and asks to scan my door because they may not have the filter needed for my car. Then he confirms they do have it and he quotes me around $70 to $90. What's the difference I ask? The type of oil the car take, so I said ok what type will it take and what is the final price? He wasn't too sure, so that was my sign to pass on the service. By the way- the dealership charges me $60 for an oil change on this car. Jiffy lube is more expensive. In addition, I was looking for online coupons on my phone to which he immediately pointed out that they don't offer discounts of any kind. First off, as long as my new old chariot (the Accord died, so now I get the Ranger...blech!) needs to get its oil changed or some kind of fluid change (I see a brake fluid replacement in my near future), I will use Jiffy Lube. Why, you ask? Because, Jiffy Lube is a big supporter and sponsor of the Sacramento Zoo, so I happily support them in return. Ok, so it was time for an oil change, so knowing we were going to use Jiffy Lube, we found that the nearest one to us was either the one on Northgate, or the one in West Sac. Making an executive decision, we went with the West Sac location. Plus, I'd save a buck or two in taxes, since Yolo's is lower than Sac County ;) Drove up, no wait, got us right in, only took 15 minutes, learned about the need for the brake fluid change (didn't realize it could get dirty), realllllly nice guys who work there, took great care of the Ranger with great service, and to top it off I got $10 off for checking in on Yelp! A pleasant experience, for as much fun as getting your vehicle's oil changed can be :) I will be back though, and highly recommend this West Sac location.
