The headlights in my car are difficult to access, so I called ahead to ask if they could assist with changing them since one went out. They agreed they could assist and told me they weren't immediately busy and could see it promptly. I drove over immediately and let them know I was the person who had called about the headlights. They asked if I needed any other services and even though my oil change wasn't due for another 500 miles, since I was there, I said they could do ahead and do the oil change. When they were finished with the car, I went up to pay, which was the first time they mentioned they did not have the bulbs and could not change my headlights. Since that was the entire reason I brought the car in, it very much felt like they took advantage of the opportunity to make some money rather than be honest about what they could do for me. I don't normally write reviews but I felt like I needed to this time just so others can be mindful. I've taken my car here about three time to get an oil change, and have always had a good experience. However, I recently got an oil change and then had to get something different done to my car at another shop. This shop then told me that the cap to secure the oil was not put on correctly, that I lost most of my oil, and that they then needed to put in about five quarts of oil in for me. As someone that isn't knowledgeable on how to check to make sure things are done correctly, it just kind of sucks when you expect a service that you pay good money for to be done correctly isn't. As well as knowing I could have had damage done to me engine because of it. I love this places customer service but I do think triple checking things and ensuring things are done correctly could be improved. read more

Unprofessional, Passive Aggressive Service Toward Fleet Customers I've had two frustrating experiences at this Jiffy Lube, and both followed a similar pattern. After I declined a cabin filter they suggested and noticed they had added engine filters and other services without asking the attitude shifted immediately. This is a fleet vehicle, and from the moment that was mentioned, the staff seemed irritated. I waited over two hours with no update, even though I could see no one working on my car. When I finally asked if it was ready, the employee knew exactly which vehicle I was talking about because it had been done. They just didn't tell me. On a previous visit, they told me it was ready, and I walked out to find the hood left wide open. It felt careless and borderline disrespectful. If this location has an issue servicing fleet vehicles or handling customers who decline unnecessary add-ons, they need to say that up front, not punish people by wasting their time. read more

We had the pleasure speaking with Vern today. He was such an amazing worker. To be fairly honest, we used to go to speedy. However our car had broke down on the way to Reno, due to no oil and no coolant. We had just actually went to speedy to get that done before the trip. So because of that disaster, we were in search for a new regular place to do an oil change. Upon arrival everyone was so nice, they are super professional. They even put plastic covers while they work on your car! This is my first time at Jiffy Lube, and this is not going to be my last. Vern made it very easy and he was completely honest with what was wrong with the car and what was not. 10/10 customer service for him! He did mention to us that our brakes fluid would need to be changed, the entire time I have had my car and no one has addressed me for the brake fluid. However, my brake fluid was extremely bad. And I'm very disappointed that it got to that point and I wasn't notified by other oil changing places. We will definitely be back to get that serviced! Came in asking for them to check out a strange noise I heard from the engine. The tech told me the noise was fixed after performing an oil change and sold me on additional suggested maintenance. Shortly after leaving the shop, the noise returned, and my engine seized. I called in asking how that could happen when the tech just minutes ago said that they fixed the issue, just to be told that "we don't diagnose any problems like that here," and they hung up on me when I asked to speak to a manager. A sentiment that both customer service and the manager went on to parrot. I seriously don't understand why they would tell me they fixed the issue if they don't even have the capability to look into it. It would have saved me a few thousand dollars on repairs. After reading the reviews, it seems like the service techs have a tendency to "misspeak" to make additional sales. read more

Stopped in for a full synthetic oil change and as i waited for my car a technician approached me saying my oil indicator light was on when he drove my car in and it needed to be reset. I'm like excuse me? I arrived with bo indicator lights on in my car and please take me to my car to video document this light I have never seen on my dash. And I requested the manager. I was taken to my car to record and no light was on. The manager explained the technician misspoke and he meant to say it will be reset. I am confused at this point because no technician has advised me any oil indicator reset at oil change. I left the shop worried about my car and what they potential did to my car (Gracie). I keep the maintenance on Gracie as scheduled, never had any dash lights on amd keep all records for my car. Jiffy Lube put an comment of service light on my invoice when I left and that concerns me. I will not return to Jiffy Lube because they can't be trusted. I am taking my car to the dealer and pay dealer prices for my maintenance because Jiffy Lube was a respectable establishment that is now apart of the shady world. I am also going to pay $289 for the full diagnostic run o. My car due to this service maintenance comment indicated on my invoice to prove the shady business Jiffy Lube is doing to customers. I arrived at 0905 the young mangretted me with the standard company greeting, with the addem that they only had 2 employees and there would be a little wait, I had some time to burn.. so OK'd and started my wait.. at 1005 I got out of my vehicle, feeling that 1 hr was adequate time, I observed some activity, more or less on the slo boat so to speak. finally I heard, sorry for the long wait, nothing more, continued to wait, finally at 1045 it was my turn, bottom line oil change, air filter, done, they gave me 33.00 off service. and i was finally out of there 2hrs30 min later. I went in for an oil change and of course the tech wanted to upsell to a more expensive service. He promised coupons and discounts and I said yes. He explained it would be cheaper. The oil change itself took awhile and it wasn't that busy. The tech re-arranged the mats instead of vacuuming. I paid and realized I was overcharged. So of course the manger had to get involved because no one now knows what to do. Two days later the manager calls. He proceeds to explain to me how oil changes work, I think because I'm a woman and clearly don't understand. And then says he can't fix the overcharge but if I come back he'll give me a discount! That's what they said the first time and it didn't happen. For what I paid I could have gone to the dealer and should have. DO NOT fall for this scam! Took the car to a garage, and the garage mechanic stated the oil filter was not screwed on all the way and created an oily mess around the oil filter. Took my daughter's car in on a Sunday morning. This Sacramento 2900 Florin Road shop was one of two Jiffy Lube's open on Sunday. All services available and use of online discount coupons were confirmed with me prior to starting SUV service. Shop was loaded with vehicles when I arrived, but the waiting room and available working WiFi help pass the time. David was very helpful when my Ford Escape SUV was ready by completely explaining what Jiffy Lube services were performed and what their staff observed as minor fluid leak visibility while performing oil, filter change and chassis lube service. I never ever go enthusiastically in for an oil change, but the Yelp reviews for this location got me intrigued. I see what people like! It was quite fast, in the 20-25 minutes as initially stated, and they kept the customers moving. Elena, who greeted me, was efficient and clear with the steps (and I seriously appreciated not being pushed into other things I probably don't need). The waiting area was small but did the trick, especially since people weren't in there very long. There's cold and hot water and free wifi. Cool. Clarice checked me out and was really nice. When you leave, everyone shouts, "Thank you!," which is a nice touch (albeit a little surprising at first!) These prices are a little more expensive than I remember paying on the east coast, so definitely get your 10% off with the Yelp check in. read more

I was very impressed with the service I received Monday (11/25/19). Stopped in after work and there was not a line of cars. Very friendly greeting and easy check-in process. After picking out which oil change I wanted (I went with the $69 option which was the 2nd to the lowest priced), I was guided to the lobby and quoted a 20 minute wait. Great place to get a basic oil change l, been getting work done in this place 3-4 times now and no issues whatsoever, just make sure to verify the work performed on your vehicle by having them show you the dip stick so u can make sure your oil has been changed, it's a hit or miss from time to time, sometimes they show u sometimes they just give you the keys and send u on your way without knowing if work was actually performed..overall I'm happy with their service! Some of the most comically terrible customer service I've ever experienced. Likely damaged my engine, and solidly convinced me to never bother with Jiffy Lube again. Greeter logged me in as the wrong car, and insisted that I'd never been to Jiffy Lube, refusing to listen to me saying that I have. Then they tried to upcharge me for synthetic oil because it's "what you got last time," which is both untrue and incompatible with me supposedly never having been there. Had to wait for someone else to come over and claim they corrected the issue. THEN they forgot to replace my engine air filter after removing it. I have a note on my Jiffy Lube profile for that car to NOT check the engine air filter in the first place because they rarely put it back properly. So they either never bothered to log my car in correctly, or they just ignored the note. I was getting my oil changed before a 500-mile move, so my engine is almost certainly damaged from driving without an air filter. This could have been avoided by baseline competence at multiple points in the service. A silver lining is that my car's older already, so at least they didn't potentially ruin a new engine. read more

They say their oil change includes: Change: Oil with up to five quarts of quality motor oil, Oil filter. Inspect Key Components: Antifreeze/coolant reservoir levels, Engine air filtration system, Serpentine belts, Brake fluid level (in transparent reservoirs), Wiper blades, Exterior lights, Chassis (lubricate when applicable). Check and Fill: Tire pressures, Transmission/transaxle fluid, Differential/transfer case fluid, Power steering fluid, Windshield washer fluid, Battery water (excluding sealed batteries). Clean: Exterior windows and Vacuum interior floors. Well, they marked my invoice that I declined some of these items (windows, carpets) WHICH I DID NOT. They also just flat out DID NOT do some of these items, including: transmission fluid and more. Not impressed especially for the cost. I won't go back. read more
