After TWO HOURS of waiting, I was told that my tire was not even on the premises. After throwing a 10% discount for an off brand, non matching tire, I wait another HOUR for them to change the tire. Only to find out my car was finished and ready to go 30 minutes prior -- but nobody communicated that to me. When I explained my frustrations to Tilly, he literally spoke over me and responded with, "Lady just pay the bill and get out of my store. I don't want to hear your mouth anymore". If you think I am lying, PULL UP THE CAMERAS. He then stood there, not processing my payment. And when I told him I was needing to leave he threatened to call the police on me for walking out on a payment THAT HE WAS NOT PROCESSING. Then he literally just walked away, into the bays. It was the other Manager, Tony, that was the ONLY great thing about my experience. TONY deserves a raise, as he was what good customer service is all about. Needless to say, I will save the religious comment Tilly made for my letter to Corporate but I would be remiss if I did not warn others about Tilly. To the GM John A.--- please consider this review your heads up for the letter I will be sending to Corporate. You have a liability on your hands with that man. I had a slow leak in a tire, and all of the other "tire " places around were quoting at least an…read morehour and a half just to see if they could find a screw or a nail that I could not. I called Christian Brothers and Jeremy told me to bring it right in. He quickly put it on the lift and had me back on the road in no time. Where the screw was couldn't be patched, but he offered to put a plug in it to get me by until I could get a tire. He then refused to take payment for the service. Needless to say, I ordered the tire from them instead of going to another place. This kind of "do the right thing for people" service is far and few between these days. Thank you!

On our latest visit, we were given a list of repairs, all of which seemed reasonable. At the time, our schedule was busy, so we just had one repair done, related to our car hesitating. Then - a few weeks later - our car was still hesitating now and then (and more dramatically) as we drove it. It wasn't quite enough for our car to stall, but it made us very uneasy. We took the car to another mechanic, explaining the hesitation issue. We gave that shop a copy of our recent receipts from 535, so these other mechanics would know what had already been done. They tried one fix after another, but nothing fully resolved the issue. Several days later, they still hadn't found what was wrong with the car... until they revisited the repair that 535 had done. Laughing as they explained the folly of not giving that repair a second glance until they'd eliminated everything else... they said it was a relatively simple fix, directly related to the 535 repair. Our car is running fine now, thanks to their work. It may have been an unusual misstep on 535's part, but the last time we saw Bill - a few days after the repair at his shop - something felt different. He wasn't the same, friendly Bill. Whatever it was, I hope Bill and his team get it straightened out. However, we're not likely to return to 535 Auto Care.
