Came here for an oil change a couple months ago and they either overtightened or put too much force when removing the oil plug but they ruined the threads and caused a leak. Need an inspection? Do NOT go here. Nearly every experience has been bad. They either don't have the proof of inspection stickers you need or they're flat out not doing them for some arbitrary reason. Today, I got to sit waiting for over an hour (when they KNEW I was there for an inspection) only to have them return and say they didn't have the stickers. YOU KNEW AN HOUR AGO AND HAD ME WAIT!!! One of the best Jiffy Lube's I've been to (and I've taken my car all over the country!). I keep coming back because of their excellent service and attention to detail. The store manager, Frank, is a great example of old-school customer service. He's friendly, takes time to explain what's being done and keeps the place spotless. If you have any issue, he goes way out of his way to make it right. He even remembered me from a previous service visit. The first time I came here, I had a good experience, but this time was awful. I drove into the driveway and there were a bunch of cars there. I couldn't figure out where to put my car so I parked it off to the side and went inside. This is where being overly polite got me in big trouble. I stood at the desk for about 20 minutes, trying to get someone to help me. Every time I tried to talk to someone I got the "just a minute" finger and then that person ran off to do something else. I was frustrated and decided to leave, but now my car was blocked in. I went back in and got no further with the staff. The most I got to say to any of them was "My car is parked..." and then I was cut off and ignored. A total of 45 minutes of my life wasted. At least my car was no longer blocked so I could leave without having to pay for terrible (non-existent) service. read more

I note the review of "FU F." below, dated 12/18. Just like that reviewer, I visited this Jiffy Lube on 12/18 because the Queens Blvd. Sunnyside location had closed. And just like that reviewer, I had to wait two hours to get into and through the location. The organization was incredibly poor; they had one guy working as a service advisor who was going in and out of the service area, then coming out to the desk to meet and write up customers... meantime, everybody else (all the customers and three service techs that I counted, probably more below) stood around and waited for this one guy to do whatever it was he had to do with each vehicle brought in for service. They have four service bays here (left and right, front and back), but only seemed to be working on one car at a time because the service advisor had become a bottleneck in the operation. Meanwhile, cars lined up outside and reached back to the street. It took me 30 minutes of waiting in my car outside before I was even acknowledged, and then another 45 minutes or so after my car was pulled in to a bay before the service advisor spoke to me, and then another 30 minutes after that before my car was finished (oil change, air filter, wiper replacement). Completely unacceptable for a place with the word "Jiffy" in their name. Frankly, if the place had been called "Slow and Tedious Lube" I still would have felt it was too long to wait. The icing on the cake is that they overcharged me by, it looks like, over $100. I was charged $40 for the "signature service," an additional $28 for the upgrade to Synthetic Blend oil, a $10 "special oil filter charge" (I do not have that unusual a vehicle, I don't know why I would need a "special" oil filter, and this charge was not disclosed when pricing the job for me). And THEN, on top of all this, I was charged separately for the oil - 7 quarts at $16 each. This obviously was wrong, and I probably would have caught it, except at this point I was so disgusted with the time I had spent there and in such a hurry to do the other things I had to do (that I was now late for) that I just signed the credit card slip and resolved to never come here again. Only when I got home did I look at the receipt and see these crazy charges. I'm sure that the separate oil charge, at least, was inadvertent and that they will refund the charge if I go there to talk about it. Which I will do. But that's yet another visit there, more time spent that I don't have. I have been going to quick oil change places (both Jiffy Lube and VOIC) for years -- decades, actually. Never has anything been even close to this awful. I'm hoping they just had a bad day. But I'm still not likely to patronize this location ever again. It was truly a terrible experience. read more

First and foremost if I could give negative stars as an option I would. I was waiting for my car to be serviced because it was something that I needed to get out of the way. As I was waiting for quite some time might I add and I understand that these things take time but not when it's taking forever I waited almost half an hour for my oil change I can say it was horrible service but what made me cringe was the customer service. I over heard a woman speaking to one of the employees not sure if he was a manager. The lady had some service done on her car and was having issues and came back to have it redone but the Gentlemen simply told her he had nothing to do with that, she asked if her service can be redone and he said no. First off The customer is always right and my strong belief is if something was done and it was done incorrectly then it should be fixed and I felt upset for the women and it was not even my car. My other issue is when I was being charged for the service they had said one pricing for one type of oil and then said they didn't have it then they put some other oil and it cost more. I don't like being up sold or swindled into something I don't want I paid and left but I think it's dishonest. If this is the type of Honesty and Professionalism that is being claimed then I must be at the wrong place. I will be taking my service elsewhere. read more

One star for getting one thing right. At least I hope they did it right. That is change my oil. I purchased their "most" popular selection which includes vacuuming, oil change, and a free car wash (which is off site). The vacuuming wasn't even done. The guy handling payment couldn't even get their payment system to work. Jiffy Lube this place took an hour and change to change the oil and vacuum. Their standard for vacuuming is poor. If you come to these guy don't expect anything but shitty service. read more

Just returned from getting my car serviced here after reading the other positive reviews. I have an old car and it's not in the best shape. I only take it on short trips and don't get it serviced that often, so I was kind of embarrassed to even bring it in at this point. Jose was really welcoming and polite and explained every option clearly, which was great since I know nothing about cars and hate going to places where they try to take advantage of you for not knowing your stuff. We were in and out in 40 minutes and got a few discounts off our bill too (search the web for coupons before you go!) This place is always quick, they were nice nad last time i had jose melendez do my work and he didn't even bust me to buy mroe stuff or pay for more services. He was layed back, fast and cool. We had to wait 45 minutes or so because of backlog, but they pointed us to the Starbucks across the Blvd, did an excellent job with the car, and showed real respect to the customers. read more

I have gone to this Jiffy Lube for eight years now, and generally received very good, courteous service. However, the last two times I went, including today, I have experienced very unprofessional behavior by the staff. One representative in particular, Luis, complains about customers after they leave to whoever is in the waiting area. This makes me wonder how he talks about me when I leave! He also argues with other representatives and complains about his manager in front of the customers, creating a very awkward atmosphere. I was due for a tire rotation today, but was told that it could not be done because their equipment had been stolen. They ran out of air filters, so I couldn't get that replaced either, and I was never given the voucher for the car wash that was supposed to come with my service. I will give them another chance, but I hope to see some improvements or it may be the last time I take my car there for service. read more

I've always taken my cars to this Jiffy Lube. This was the first visit my latest car. The wait from the minute I pulled up and got out my car to the minute I drove away was 1 hour 10 minutes!!!!! It took 45 minutes just to bring my car into the bay. Customer Service Advisor was informative which is the only reason they're getting the 2nd star, if not I would've given them 1 star instead. There was no apology, no discount, no nothing. Not very good damage control of the situation especially when they saw I was not a happy customer. Just got a car wash from the Jiffy Lube today. This was the worst experience ever. I asked for a full service which includes vacuuming the car. The lady at the front charged me for a super wash. I went back and she was not willing to change it mostly because she did not speak a word of English and gave me a dirty look while I was telling her this was not the service I asked for or was provided to me. Then went to get in the car and not only did they not vacuum it at all they left my mats on my back seat and dirty tissues in my cup. When I went to complain about it they were all sitting on their phones and refused to look. I then I asked to talk to the manager and the lady at the front gave me some lie about how the manager was not in and there was no way to reach him. Even she seemed scared to ask the workers about their horrible job. Not only will I never return to this location ever, I will make sure to redirect everyone to the car wash on 77th street which is 100 times better in service and worth the 15 bucks I drop on it. This was a very bad service station! Here's why: The guy who I first spoke with tried to get me to buy the synthetic oil. I showed him in the manual it was not necessary so this made him spiteful and vindictive. He failed to put a cap back on the tire, didn't put the sticker on the window. I had to go back and ask for it and he then put a ridiculous amount of miles down for the next time it should be checked. The guy who changed the oil did a good job - I think - but I'm no mechanic. The lady at the counter and window cleaner didn't wash the window that was rolled done. Also she said she was out of printer ink so the receipt with the car wash coupon wasn't available. She then shook the cartridge and was able to produce a sketchy receipt. True the oil was changed, but I had a very uncomfortable feeling about the service and the honesty of two of the workers. So I will not return here Ever! It's too bad because I can see how if performed correctly this could be a good service station. I went upstate for the next oil change and they were courteous and did a good job. This is why I felt compelled to leave a review because you can get better - don't settle! read more

i just bought my mini cooper 3 months ago and i decided to bring to this shop for radiation/coolant service and i never had no issues regarding my radiation since i bought it. i just went there to have regular maintainance bcause i have no idea when was the last time it was change. he did what he was supposse do to ....and on our way home there was suddenly a boiling water sound on my car and the temperature meter went up ....so we went back and told them what happened .. Upon explaining the situation he was so arrogant saying that he was already working as a mechanic for 20+ yrs! (you sure do?????) he was already raising his voice, telling me that my car has a problem....They don' t care about the concern of their customer ! they don't know how to listen! We were there for almost 4 hours!!!! Warning!! if you have mini cooper DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR IN THIS PLACE!!!! If only there is a ZERO grade or a negative that they deserve!!! read more

I guess its not possible to give this place no stars!!!!!! 6 months ago I dropped off my vehicle for an oil change around 9am on a Saturday.. being that I work close by I told them to take their time because I knew they were busy.. I planned on picking up my car at 6pm... They called me at 5pm stating that they misplaced my key to my car... being in sales and customer service myself.. I didn't make much of a stink about it.. told them to call me when they find it... They couldn't find it so I had to pay a cab home for my spare and a cab back to pick up my car.. I was then told they would replace my key... 6 months later after speaking with the manager then and placing about 4 phone calls to Jiffy Lube corp.. I still have not received the key from them or a phone call... HORRRRRRRIBLEEE!!!! They lose my $250 key and have done nothing to resolve the issue... AVOIDDDDD bc if they mess up youre screwed!! read more
