This spot has been on my list of places to try for quite some time. My experience didn't let me down in the least. ENVIRONMENT I will admit the coffee shop is small and unassuming. While many others I've tried center around themes(plant walls,bookstore, etc), Jiggy Coffee offers an environment that's comparatively bleak yet still engaging. Despite there only being about 4-5 seats(not the place for a large study group), the environment still didn't feel cramped. The service was decent. SIPS I didn't deviate from my traditional choice of a chai latte and it was delicious and light. Honestly, it might quite possible be amongst my favorites in the city which is a tall order. While there's no shortage of coffee shops in the city, I can confidently attest to Jiggy Coffee being a solid choice for the Washington Square area. read more

We got jiggy with it [I'm sorry the pun writes itself ] It's located in center city so parking is hit or miss. We got lucky with a spot around the corner. The inside isn't HUGE but there's some seating available. I had their black sesame latte and my wife tried the black sesame matcha. We grabbed a slice of some zucchini bread to share. Everything was delicious and I'm eager to go back for more of that latte - super smooth and the sesame taste pairs well! Looking forward to coming back here soon! read more

Chill, pocket-sized cafe. Swing by and get Jiggy with their logo, which is appropriately wiggly-jiggly. Sit sidewalk-side, or grab a stool indoors and stare longingly out the window while you sip on Jiggy's tasty coffee drinks. Jiggy is known for their mixed drinks (lattes, matcha-infused creations, etc.), and one day I'll be known for trying them out. My usual orders? A cortado (cow milk), an espresso, or a drip coffee. I'm always happy and leave satisfied. Besides coffee, there's merch for sale - often cutesy charming pet toys - pastries, and good vibes. Credit accepted. Bathroom available. read more

After doing a lot of online scouting for matcha places in Philly, we saw many recommendations for this cafe and decided to check it out at around 1:30 pm on a Saturday. There isn't much seating inside but it is very bright and calm, a nice place to catch up with a friend. Rose Matcha Latte - It had a nice light rose flavor that wasn't overpowering and we enjoyed the matcha flavor that came through. The drink was balanced in sweetness and I liked the mild earthiness of the matcha. From the aesthetic to the simple menu, it was probably my favorite matcha that I tried in the Philly area and we did go back again to get the rose matcha latte. read more

Ashamed to admit I came here because it was recommended by an influencer. I was in town and wanted to get a quick caffeine fix. The coffee shop is super small, not a comfortable homey place to come and chill and do work, or meet up with a friend. Definitely more of a pick up on the way somewhere kind of vibe. The staff were not friendly, quite standoffish actually. I mentioned it was my first time and if they had any recommendations. I explained I wasn't sure which to get, between a matcha or one of their seasonal drinks. She seemed like she didn't want to be bothered by my question and wasn't helpful. So I ended up just ordering the seasonal drink. It was the bird gang latte, a matcha latte with vanilla and black sesame. It was quiiiiiiite pricey, I'm talking $9. It was certainly unique but I didn't love it and I wish I tried something else. It was really thick so I was a bit put off by the consistency. Certainly unique. I wouldn't recommend that one latte but maybe their other drinks are better? read more

My wife and I were visiting Philadelphia for a concert. After checking into the hotel, we took a walk around the area. I saw Jiggy Coffee on Yelp and decided to give it a try. Jiggy Coffee is a great neighborhood coffee shop to grab coffee or tea. You can take it to-go or plant yourself for a bit in one of their small tables on the sidewalk. They have Asian flavors like matcha latte and black sesame, as well as floral syrups like rose and lavender. The cup sizes are on the small side, but the flavors are comforting...not jiggy. read more

I am obsessed with Rose and Matcha, individually, and a trusted source told me that Jiggy serves the best Rose Matcha latte, so I have been itching to go since. I was at the nearby Italian street festival and even after having eaten a bunch of pastries, pizza slices and what not, I can say going to Jiggy's was the best decision I made. Their rose matcha combo is something I had never tasted before. Surprisingly, the rose flavor really came through and so did the matcha. The latte was extremely flavorful and creamy. A lot of cafes in Philly serve rose flavored lattes but usually the flavor falls weak - so much so you can barely taste it. They didn't overwhelm the iced latte with a ton of ice. I also love that they make it the traditional way with a whisk. I am partially mad at myself for not having come here before and partially ecstatic to have found the best tasting matcha latte in the city. Much love! read more

I ordered something called a dirty sesame latte. It was milk, black sesame paste, and a shot of espresso. It was delicious. There's not much seating here, so I'd recommend you get your drink to go like I did since the few c seats were filled on my visit. They were cool about using my travel mug, which I appreciate. The space is simple and focused on serving up good coffee for the neighborhood. I like it. read more

Came here on a Saturday afternoon and it was still rather busy! Jiggy Coffee is rather small but there are a few seats available. The staffs are really fast despite how busy it was. I don't see rose matcha latte a lot so it certainly caught my attention when I saw it on the menu. And I was very pleased to learn about this combination - the floral taste of the rose syrup worked really well with matcha. It was very well balanced and matcha was still strong enough that it wasn't overpowered. Overall a pretty good coffee shop in the neighborhood. I would love to come back for a visit and try out their espresso next time. read more

I came here recently since I was in the mood for a matcha latte and coming here I got exactly what I was looking for. They make a regular matcha and a sweetened version. The regular version had a grassy bright taste. Service was on the relaxed side, so if you're in a rush, you probably wouldn't be happy with your experience here. They have a few bar seats inside and then two tables outdoors. It's a bit pricey, but seems about par for the neighborhood. Overall happy with my experience here. read more

Jiggy was such an impressive spot to visit. I ordered an iced rose latte with oat milk and a vegan coffee cake. The drink was excellent. I saw that Jiggy stocks DC-based Small Planes Coffee, which is great stuff. I imagine that they make their own syrups; the rose was really good, and their lavender brown sugar would've been my first choice were it not out of stock. They use Oatly (good sign!). I didn't have their chai, but based on the two types I think they use Rishi concentrate, which is one of the best (if not the best) concentrates out there. The coffee cake was good and I was happy that they had such a robust pastry selection. Their menu is clearly labeled with what's vegan and not vegan. While the seating is limited (no tables), the barstool/high top against the wall setup that they have is conducive to work and to light conversation. We were there at 7:30am and the way the light comes into their space is beautiful. I really felt that Jiggy's proprietors were focused on making good coffee and were thoughtful and kind. Next time I am in Philly, I will literally go out of my way to go here. read more

DRINKS I ordered their iced masala chai with regular milk. It was a bit on the sweeter end as it is presweetened, but the spices of the drink were absolutely lovely and complemented the milk and sweetness as a whole. It was refreshing and a nice treat on a sunny day. FOOD I ordered the Okie Dokie blueberry lemon basil cake donut, and it was decent. For a vegan donut, the aquafaba flavor was definitely present, but it wasn't too overpowering compared to the rest of the donut. SERVICE The staff were really kind and friendly, and you could tell they developed a great relationship with their customers on an individual basis. AMBIANCE The place is small and cozy with minimal seating (about 3 counter seats by the window). It's typically a grab-and-go than a sit-down sort of place. I stopped in right after opening and the baristas were nice - very quick service. I got a seasonal pumpkin latte and enjoyed it/felt it was well crafted. There are a few seats but it seems like most of the other customers were locals who were getting to-go coffee and a little conversation. read more

very unique and delicious menu! i was obsessed with their sesame latte last year but decided to try something new since i don't do very well with any milk.. i tried the summer special and the fruity notes with espresso and tonic blended perfectly. i recommend getting a small/more ice or finishing it faster instead of sipping bc it got less tasty when less cold. but the bakery items are always so delicious and i think they get it from tang's bakery?? but always a hit with this coffee place. so ready for their fall specials already! read more

A pretty small corner shop with limited seating. Staff was super friendly, but there wasn't any AC running, so it was honestly super stuffy and hot inside. Definitely more of a takeout spot! I got the dirty black sesame latte. Their black sesame isn't sweetened at all, which I appreciated. The flavor was good, and you could tell that it was freshly made sesame paste, rather than powdered. However, maybe because it was fresh, most of the residue kept sinking to the bottom of the drink, which definitely made the drink less sesame forward than it could have been. Overall, a decent spot to check out! read more

Jiggy coffee provides quick but WELL-MADE coffees/teas! This may be my go to place for coffee. I had the best London Fog from here. They made me a London Fog where the earl gray tea had a predominant flavor. It was brewed well! The oat milk didn't mask the flavor of the tea either. I was very delighted! read more

Stopped in on a Sunday morning to grab a quick coffee for my wife. Nothing quick about it. Took about 25 minutes to order and receive my drinks. They were busy and with only two people working, you can't really expect much else. Service was friendly and drinks were solid, but make sure you have time if you are stopping in on a weekend. Love to support local business over the chains, but also have to be honest when there's things that could be done better. read more

Yesterday, I visited Jiggy coffee for the first time. I walked in, there wasn't really an ambiance. Just a few uncushioned chairs, a high top bar with 2-3 chairs l, and a very simple menu. No decor. This seems like more of a spot that people just grab joe2go at, not a hang out. I completed my order, the vanilla latte took about 8 minutes to complete. The service was friendly enough--and the latte was about a 3/5. The latte was mostly foam and i didnt love the flavor of the syrup (which seemed to be sugarless). I don't know much about this place, if the two people who helped us were the owners or staff, but they were working their butts off, and never missed a beat to be friendly and even unfold some chairs for our small party. Jiggy is an adorable little spot that may not look like much from the outside, but the inside is full of heart and delicious drinks made with care. Best matcha drink I've ever had! I got the lavender brown sugar Matcha latte with oat milk, and it was absolutely delicious! The matcha had a smooth consistency and didn't clump or settle at the bottom like many other matcha drinks tend to do. The baristas working there were very nice and coffee shop itself had a wonderful ambiance that added to the overall experience. read more

I really like going here. I've been here a number of times after doctor appts on my way to work. It's a small space but they don't mind you chilling if you can find a seat. I recommend for a grab and walk around. That said, there's a lot of good spots nearby, so maybe try this with a few others on a coffee crawl! read more

The Deluxe cookies were a treat w/ the peanut butter varieties a fav, but ALL the cookies, including the ones I didn't pick, were delicious. A little annoying the upcharges for deluxe varieties when I thought that was the point of picking an option that includes them, but the additional free cookies helped soften that. A must for any overnight stay in Philly!

We were quickly sat, our waiter introduced himself to us -- lovely gentleman by the name of Vincenzo?!? He was effortlessly efficient and friendly. Made our night exceptional. My cousin said it was late and she didn't want to really order anything. I talked her into ordering and then at least she could eat the leftovers for "midnight snacking" or lunch the next day. We ordered: -- Bellini: Prosecco infused peach purée -- Bread -- Scamorza -- Fire-roasted aged mozzarella, prosciutto -- Torta Granchio -- Italian crab cake infused with crab, shrimp, and mascarpone served with cucumber fresco and gastronomic roasted red pepper gelato -- Cesarina -- Kale, romaine, creamy Parmigiano dressing -- Agnolotti -- Torino-style Ravioli filled with veal, pork, and vegetables. Butter sage sauce topped with gastronomic black and white truttle gelato -- Pappardelle al Ragu -- Ribbon pasta, slow cooked pork, veal, lamb and chicken ragu (my cuzn's meal) -- Tiramisu Classico -- Lady fingers, espresso, mascarpone Everything was delicious, especially the Torta Granchio. Gran Caffè L'Aquila needs to lead with this appetizer. It was delicious. My cousin and I ordered two more to go!! Our pasta meals were decadent and delicious. We shared the tiramisu and we both agreed it was fantastic. Classic is the way to go. We left with full bellies after having wonderful conversation. We both agreed we'd be back!! BTW: I booked our reservation OpenTable and got 1000 points for it!!!

They were actually out of the strawberry shortcake so the business owner contacted me for a substitute flavor. I chose the tiramisu instead. The desserts were delicious, she even threw in a pinacolada crumble freebie and an extra tiramisu. The flavors were good although some could be a little stronger (pina colada and key lime chai). I really enjoyed the crusts which tasted like some combination of dates and nuts. My favorite was the hazelnut and the tiramisu Would definitely order from again, packaging was nice and owner was easy to communicate with and the service was great.

I'm not sure why I waited so long to try the chicken at Bud and Marilyn's, but better late than never! They serve a LARGE 1/2 chicken. I started with the thigh. I was smitten by the first bite. I was told the chicken is soaked in a buttermilk brine for 24-48 hours - dipped in a buttermilk dredge - covered with their 'secret recipe' seasoned flour - and fried in a 'pressure fryer' that cooks the chicken in 12 minutes. It was perfectly fried - so crispy - the texture and seasoning of the exterior coating was incredible. The chicken was tender and juicy - the thigh was the juiciest - I didn't get to try the drumstick as I was too full! I had the thigh and 1/2 the breast. The breast is my favorite and I savored each large delicious piece I broke apart. It's important to pick up the chicken and eat it by hand - I did cut mine in half for a picture - but didn't use a fork to eat it - you lose the 'panache'of the meal. I didn't use the hot sauce served with the chicken - I brought my own bottle of honey and poured it over the chicken and biscuits. It was heavenly! Which brings me to the Biscuits! The dish comes with 2 large fluffy buttermilk biscuits - they were golden brown on the outside and tender and fluffy on the inside! They had such a rich, buttery flavor. I took several pieces of chicken and layered them on pieces of biscuit, drizzled with honey! It was truly a 5 star fried chicken and biscuit dinner!

Either way, it wasn't very cool inside. Thankfully I had ice cream, so it didn't bother me too much, but it's something to keep in mind if you're stopping by on a really hot day. The line moved quick despite it being out the door and the staff were all very friendly and patient. Also, big plus-- they have a restroom! We got the Dankaroo soft serve (vanilla and cinnamon swirl dunked in cookies and cream coating). The coating was very sweet, but the soft serve itself was not too sweet and a very nice texture. The texture was a bit more icy than traditional soft serve (which I prefer). The shop is very casual and does not offer any seating that I saw. Maybe they offer seating at an earlier hour, but not when we went.

Jiggy Coffee is a great place to stop and grab a bite, a drink, or a good conversation. I stopped by on a morning walk and the baristas were so friendly and chatty! They helped me decide what to get and I ended up loving it! Forgot to even take a photo of my delicious donut before scarfing it down! They also have inventive coffees beyond the typical.
