I called Jim because my disposal and dishwasher was broken, I had urgent appliance repair of Menifee come out earlier in the day and they wanted to charge me 638 to replace my disposal, because it was supposedly broken and unfixable which wasn't true. But I asked Jim about the price and he said that guy was over charging me to call a plumber instead and not an appliance repair. I scheduled a quote, payed $75 for quote fee. Showing up window was 3PM-6PM, they showed up at 6:30PM. Well I was told by the technician that he had the part needed to fix the issue, I told him I needed confirmation from the owner to change the part and I would call him back to schedule. I even told him to please don't use the part on anyone else because I really needed this issue fixed ASAP. Also the quote had *estimate valid for 45 days disclosure* well I call back 2 days later to schedule the repair and was told that the technician already used the part on someone else and the part is discontinued. I asked if I can get refunded for my $75 since they can't fix it and they said NO. So I guess if you don't mind spending time and money on these kinds of things, go ahead and book with them. read more

He then recommended a vent clean out because of too much accumulated lint which caused the dryer to stop running before the clothes were dry. Based on the reviews i was so excited when I spoke to Yuri on Monday, and even though he couldnt get a service guy to me till Thursday, I still scheduled the service call. I told him i had a Bosch washing maching and he didnt mentione any hesitation. 1 HOUR, on Thursday, before hes to show the guy calls me and says " nope dont work on boschs" When i called him back his answer was " I assumed he worked on bosch washers since he worked on a dryer last week" REALLY YOU DONT KNOW THE CAPABILITIES OF YOUR EMPLOYEES. I described my problem with my ice maker, he gave me a price, and since it was expensive, he advised that I wait as long as possible before spending the $. I then described my GE builder installed microwave. He had me measure it and said that that model was really cheap and I would be better off buying a new one. Our GE dishwasher was not drying the dishes. We thought it was either the heating element or the control board. We called different appliance repair shops and some of them no longer work on GE appliances. I contacted Jim's Appliance Repair was happy to hear they repaired GE appliances. Scheduled an appointment, they offered a 3 hour time frame. YEA, they arrived in the time slot. Andre was our service technician and almost immediately diagnosed the problem, it was a switch. He thoroughly explained the situation and answered all our questions. Fortunately he had the parts, gave us a lower price than we expected and completed the installation rather quickly. We have a Samsung refrigerator that is about 8 years old. Our ice maker went out 3 years ago. He just looked at the frig and asked if our ice maker worked. I was surprised that he asked the question. I replied the frig had not worked in 3 years and we have a portable ice maker. We had 2 estimates to fix the ice maker from other appliance companies, each estimate was just over $900. We decided we would purchase a new frig before we paid $900. for a ice maker repair. Before I told him our previous estimates, he stated it was a common problem with that frig and quoted us a price just over for about 1/3 of the previous estimates. We were so impressed with Andre. Very knowledgeable, courteous, and patient enough to answer all our questions. He many years of experience working with appliances. We absolutely will be scheduling an appointment with Andre to repair our ice maker in the near future. Jim's Appliance is the best. Honest! I enjoy companies that are honest and aren't money hungry. I contacted them with a question regarding my dishwasher. It is having issues with water flow. I'd prefer not to waste money on something that is going to cost more to repair than buying a new one. They were up front and let me know what I'm likely looking at. I appreciate that! It gave me the nudge in the right direction. I was leaning toward buying new instead and that was the nudge I needed! Had a refrigerator fan go out. Was told that the part was ordered on a Friday and would be in on the following Monday. Monday came and went without communication. Called their number and their office contact didn't seem to know the status, but said that the earliest they could come out was Friday! (Over one week without an operating fridge for a family of 7...not good). Said he would get back to me once he heard back from his technician. No word. Tuesday evening I text that I need to hear from him by noon on Wednesday. Again, nothing! Now I'm getting angry, not just from the wait, but just from the lack of professionalism. I call again this time with a little bit of attitude, and finally hear that Andrei would be out on Thursday. Andrei is great and the reason for three stars instead of zero. The install sailed through and we finally have a working fridge. If the office gets its act together and follows through with communication, this will be a good repair service to turn to, otherwise, if your experience starts to resemble mine, go elsewhere until they've learned to communicate with their customers in a timely fashion. read more

Our Whirlpool oven died a few days prior to our having a family event at our home. I called and explained what was wrong and the owner knew exactly the problem. I was visiting family in California. While helping out my niece with laundry the washing machine stopped working. Andrei arrived a little late and he was very concerned about it. Let me share my latest experience with JIM appliance. First of all Andre came to my house I told him my machine was dancing across the room, he said your overloading it BS I told him been doing Laundry the same way for an year and half. I said what about balancing it. Well 10 minutes later he came in and said there is nothing wrong with my machine. Left the machine in middle of the room. A real ass and demanded $ 65 dollars lid I didn't have back surgery I would have physically throw him out of my house. Lucky you Andre. Fair warning to Everyone!!! Do Not let them in your house. Originally we had Buddy's Maintenance come out, who informed us that our Maytag Ice Maker needed to be changed but required special knowledge that he did not know. Therefore, we called JIM and he sent out Andrei who was very professional and more importantly knowlegeable. He first installed a used ice maker to confirm the issue, then he ordered a new part which he obtained within a day.
