On the surface, Jim Clark's Consignment appears to be a friendly, family run business, but when it comes time to make the sale, they have absolutely NO problem lying straight to your face in an effort to separate you from your money... In my particular case, the problem is a water heater that doesn't function properly... The problem was well known to them, but rather than actually fixing the faulty heater, they simply lied to me saying it was serviced and now functioning like it should... Lie!... Also, I requested they email me copies of the photos they used in the listing so I could share my new purchase with friends and family before delivery, which wouldn't happen for another week... They never did, but said they would... They already had my money, so why bother... And what was I going to do about the faulty water heater?... Was I supposed pay another $1000.00 to have the RV shipped back, and then fight for a refund?... It became a no-win situation for me, one I'll just have to live with! I made an honest mistake trusting them, but I'm not going to let liars and thieves destroy my faith in others!... read more

I first contacted this family company at the beginning of October, 2025 concerning a 2015 Newmar Ventana listed in their inventory. After speaking with Chris, my wife and I decided to follow up on the coach. Chris had his daughter, Cali, call me and conduct a full facetime walk around, inside and out. Once completed, we decided to make an offer on the coach. After speaking with the seller, Chris returned my call and said we had a deal. Then the work began - Living in California, buying a vehicle in Oregon through a finance company in Florida and their bank located in Ohio! The hoops we needed to jump through seemed endless, yet Chris and Cali were very helpful and always kind and professional. I flew to Oregon after we finally secured financing. The nearest airport was 30 minutes away from Clark's (Medford). Cali drive to Medford and gave me a ride back to Grants Pass, OR. Once there I learned how truly remarkable this family company was. Asking me what I needed at every turn. Giving me a vehicle to run errands before driving my new coach home. Offering me lunch, Chris telling me fishing stories, Cali telling me about her husband and their love of scuba diving. Chris took time to go every system in my new coach and answer every question or concern I might have had. Then, Chris brought in another inspector to check out the rv before we closed the deal. The inspector found one issue. Chris located a technician, brought him in, and had the issue repaired at no charge to me. This is our third motorhome. We just completed purchase of a practically new grand design reflection 150 5th wheel from here and couldn't have been more happy with the service they provided. We were from California to see the RV so called them to see what arrangements could be made to put a hold on the trailer until we arrived. They gladly put it on hold without requiring a deposit even though I offered to do so. The owner Chris called me the day before our trip to confirm our arrival time and said he would have it washed and opened up so we could fully inspect it. They also brought over an ac power cord so we could operate all the 120vt stuff like tvs and microwave. An added bonus is the dealership has been around thru 3 generations of family working there so it's well established and they're professionalism shows they really know what they are doing. Everything worked perfectly and the rv looked brand new! We offered a fair price (which Chris the business owner quickly relayed to the rv owner since it's a consignment type rv store) and it was accepted. We left a cash down payment and were planning to wire the remaining money from our bank when we returned home. Throughout the process Chris and his daughter Cali were friendly, helpful, and personable. Turns out we are both avid scuba divers as is Cali and we talked about our various dive trips we've all been on like old friends. As a final surprise they said they have a 3rd party independent inspection done prior to completing the sale (at no charge) to ensure everything worked fine and it passed without a problem. I can't recommend a better place to buy from then here as they are honest, zero sales pressure, and so nice to deal with- the exact opposite of the experience we had when visiting a few other dealers before we bought this one. As a side note they recommended a local rv transporter (Shawn at L&S transport who brought down to our home for a very reasonable price and without a problem). Chris also gave him the title documents and other paperwork to deliver in person rather than sending by mail. I found a Winnebago solis RV that fit my needs online from Oregon. I'm in San Diego so buying a vehicle out of state is something I was t familiar with. I bought my first RV from Chris Clark, my beef with Chris is; 1. He promised me a walk through my RV with a technician, his guy was supposed to show me all to know about my 5th wheel, well that never happened on the day I was to move it out. Instead Chris himself gave me a 5 minute roll through. No red flags yet. 2. I paid one of his employees $100 to move it to the RV park I rented a space from. Because this was my first experience with an RV, in after thought these guys just willy nilly rolled over me and rushed me through. His employee didn't level my 5th wheel, not just that he lied to me, saying the leveling bubble on the front of the RV was not an accurate way of telling if it was indeed level, after calling Chris yes he told me the same thing without a solution. All doors swing to the low side I would think that would be an indication it was not level. After further investigation, not being level can jeopardize the refrigerator and more obvious the shower will puddle and even more, the septic and grey water tanks will not drain out all contents since it is located on the high side. He never offered to correct the situation after I asked him to do so. 3. Here's the bigger issue. Two months after purchase, my hot water heater blew out it leaked onto my subfloor on the lower level and warped the pressed board under the kitchen area. I called a certified RV technician after ZERO response from Chris Clark (owner of Jim Clarks RV consignment). The technician stopped the leak then told me the hot water heater was so rusted out it would need to be replaced at the cost of $1,000, the certified technician also said "this should have never been sold in that condition". Again no action from Chris just the run around. In summary, Chris is only interested in moving consigned RV's not in the customer. Chris hides behind the "AS IS" portion of the sales agreement. Be careful when dealing with Jim Clark's consignment country and any other companies like it. read more

Wow! I'll say it again Wow! I've heard the radio advertisements many times stating that Jim Clarke's does everything for you "start to finish" many times. I investigated the business thoroughly before deciding to drop my RV off for a consignment sale. And boy, let me tell you, I'm happy I did. When we stopped by and met with Chris we explained our situation and described the unit we wanted to sell. At that time we were just walk-in customers and didn't have our rig with us. Chris sat down with us and had what I consider to be a very easy-going and no pressure meeting. At the conclusion of that meeting we decided that this outfit was okay. We didn't feel pressured at all. I honestly felt like I was at a friend or family members house and we were just talking. I couldn't have been more comfortable with the team that we met. And, I have to tell you that I'm a very critical person. I evaluate every move that's made and I'm a good judge of character. I walked out feeling 100 percent confident in Chris and his crew. I felt as though I could trust them after only meeting with them briefly. That's rare these days folks....just saying. At the conclusion of our meeting we agreed to drop my rig off the following week. When we returned with our unit, Chris evaluated it and made sure that it met their criteria and standards before he agreed to consign it. We agreed on a starting price and left our rig in their hands. Two weeks later, I received a call that my rig had been sold for full asking price and it was already gone and off the lot with its new owner. If you are considering selling your RV, trust that Jim Clarke's will take care of you. I really mean that. These folks really are the real deal. They are not fast talking salespeople that will simply tell you what you want to hear. You will get the truth. I wish I could give a better review but my experience was not great. I did sell my trailer quickly because he suggested pricing it so low. However he agreed not to charge for servicing and then charged $200. Also, it was sold and no one told me. I went online to see the pictures he posted and it said it was sold. I had to call to ask if it really was sold. They also set something on fire that I ended up having to pay for. I had never had any problems before they "went through it." So I was ripped off $200 and he had already made enough money from me at 12% selling cost. I would go on down the road to Medford where it is only 10% if I were you. read more

Keep on going, the owner is all over the place- went in with check in hand ready to buy an rv - having looked it over extensively. Got there and was told "no test drive today ". What?? Also the promised inspection would only be done AFTER the purchase. Just couldn't or wouldn't answer questions "too busy, my sons at the lake". With this type of lousy service BEFORE the sale, I took a hard pass. Don't want to see just how bad it gets AFTER the sale. Update When I got my camper home, the battery was dead and could not be recharged. I called and spoke with Chris who said they stand by their offerings. Sure enough he paid for a new battery. Received RV that needed many items repaired and the RV was dirty. We spent over a $1000 dollars to bring it up to par. Many items were not working or broken. They told us that the RV had been completely checked and was ready to go. Asked for compensation but never received any. I do not recommend Clark's. read more

We've been looking for a Motorhome for a year or so. We had a specific floor plan we wanted and finally found one interesting in Grants Pass, Oregon. We live in California. We decided to go check it out and Chris Clark held it till we made the trip. We've had other dealers sell them before we can look even though they knew we were coming long distance in both cases. When we arrived Chris allowed us to take our time and checkout everything by ourselves and when we were ready for questions to be answered he was there and answered everything to our satisfaction. When we decided to buy it Chris made everything easy to take care of and was so pleasant to talk to. I definitely would recommend this family owned business. We've talked to enough dealers to tell the difference between honest and shady sales people. Chris definitely is one of the honest ones! Recently purchased a used Class A motorhome from Chris at this business. Found negotiating to be painless, and got a very fair deal on the purchase price. After a shakedown cruise, had a few problems with the rig that I thought should have been noticed before selling it. Spoke with Chris about the issues and he covered the repairs out of his pocket. Really couldn't ask for more as the contract is very clear that the sale was a "used, as-is" sale. I've searched nationally and locally for the right travel trailer fit and found it here at Clark's Consignment. I've been researching, visiting lots, watching YouTube videos about the different models and this was the last place i decided to go with before calling it quits for a few months. I initially inquired about the travel trailer on line. I received a call from Chris Clark the following day (they're closed on Sundays which is a value I respect amongst business'). We went in the next business to take a look at the trailer. Backstory-we had previously went to a bigger dealer and ran the numbers-they had offered less on our teardrop T@B trailer. While talking with Chris, he asked what i wanted for the trailer and I told my price. He whips out the NADA book and offered top dollar (more than the other dealership offered and more than I was asking, now that's unheard of in my vehicle buying experience!)! I knew then this was a dealer in a class of their own. We then talked about how he prices the RV's on site. He explained their method of pricing isn't to inflate the sticker then haggle with the costumer. He works with the cosigning seller to get the price marked at a reasonable rate thereby reducing or eliminating the awkward process of haggling! He was well below the median range for the trailer, wasn't asking premium price and offered more on our trade! It took more time to finalize the financing at the credit union than to finish the purchase, complete the walk-around and have the weight distribution hitch installed! We're very pleased with the buying process. It's not a wonder why this business has existed for almost 40 years. Chris' father started the business and it's very clear Chris carries on the family tradition/values with his family (they also work here) and he shares those same values with his customers.
