The fact that they're taking care of the little, less obvious things is a sure sign of their honesty and integrity. I'm new to travel trailers and Chris and his son took a lot of time to walk me through the functions of various systems. They included a lot of the essential extras I'd need for camping. They gave me valuable tips and even after the sale, Chris set up cones in the lot and basically taught me how to back up the trailer. I had to run an 8 gauge wire directly to the battery since it was not happy to share with the furnace since it was a bit of a voltage drop when blower starts up. My boyfriend and I looked at an RV with two employees a couple of weeks ago. Both said they were…read morenot aware of anything being wrong with the RV. They couldn't figure out how to turn on the AC, so I wasn't sure if it was broke. Don Hogan was the primary person we worked with. Don said that if I buy it, I will need to put a down payment on it. At that time, the dealership would go through the RV and fix anything wrong with it. A couple days later I asked for the RV to be looked at because I was going to buy it. Don said I had to buy the RV then they would go through it. I questioned him because that was not what he originally said. He got defensive and hung up on me. I called him back to find out what happened. He said he thought the conversation was over. He never said goodbye just hung up. He said I could have my RV mechanic look at it, so I did. My mechanic found a lot of things wrong with the RV. I emailed Don asking if he would negotiate the price or fix the things wrong with it. It's been 12 days today with no response. I paid my mechanic to look at it because I was serious about buying it. I will never go to Caveman RV again or recommend them to anyone. 2015 Forest River Leprechaun 319D that is still there.

I…read morerecently bought a new truck and the lights weren't working on the trailer even though the new truck was a chevy (same brand as previous truck, just a newer model) Their shop guy quickly got me into the shop with my trailer and troubleshooting began, determined several of the lights were shorted or bad wiring or both. So appointment was made the following week and the trailer was dropped off just after 9am and was done by 11am completed as promised. All lights are working and a new plug in adapter was installed. I want every person out there to know how awesome they are at Hardcastles and how well you will be taken care of.

This dealership does not honor their advertised 2 week warranty or fulfill promises…read more Was promised by owner Lon to fix transmission that his son Mike lied about but Mike refuses to fix. Power steering went out while driving with my newborn and they sent it to an unlicensed mechanic and refused to give me any contact info or name.... I ended up having to pay to fix everything their mechanic didn't! All of these occurred well within their two week period and after 4 months the car is COMPLETELY un driveable. Mike has called me out of the blue and harassed, intimidated and made threatening statements about a post on Facebook in a mothers group accusing me of slandering them, it was an anonymous post about another dealership. He has refused to apologize for this and completely stopped contacting me or returning repeated calls to him wondering when they will fix my car! This salesman Mike is very rude to younger people, takes complete advantage and ignores his mistakes. I sent a bank representative down there to talk to him and he ignored them for an entire week, until she had to call again and he still refused to fix it. Mike is beyond rude to service members and veterans, who tried to speak to him on my behalf since he had treated me in such a disgusting way. Swearing at them, slamming doors and threatening to call the police because things didn't go his way. I ended up showing him the videos of all the promises they made to fix it. This made him explode with anger as he thought I had nothing on him. During this he made a statement saying "...we don't inspect all of our cars, just the ones that need it" asking why their multi point inspection for every car they advertise on, somehow didn't show the severe transmission issue, and mistook it for bad brakes, along with severe damage to power steering. He has lied so many times and accused everyone else involved other than him to be the liars, even his own business partners, and other reputable licensed mechanics, to try to get out of this. He is the most unprofessional salesman I have ever met. Honestly would have been fired a long time ago if his Dad didn't own the place!
