Also, I requested they email me copies of the photos they used in the listing so I could share my new purchase with friends and family before delivery, which wouldn't happen for another week... They never did, but said they would... They already had my money, so why bother... And what was I going to do about the faulty water heater?... Was I supposed pay another $1000.00 to have the RV shipped back, and then fight for a refund?... It became a no-win situation for me, one I'll just have to live with! Once completed, we decided to make an offer on the coach. After speaking with the seller, Chris returned my call and said we had a deal. Then the work began - Living in California, buying a vehicle in Oregon through a finance company in Florida and their bank located in Ohio! The hoops we needed to jump through seemed endless, yet Chris and Cali were very helpful and always kind and professional. I flew to Oregon after we finally secured financing. The nearest airport was 30 minutes away from Clark's (Medford). Cali drive to Medford and gave me a ride back to Grants Pass, OR. Once there I learned how truly remarkable this family company was. Asking me what I needed at every turn. Giving me a vehicle to run errands before driving my new coach home. Offering me lunch, Chris telling me fishing stories, Cali telling me about her husband and their love of scuba diving. Chris took time to go every system in my new coach and answer every question or concern I might have had. Then, Chris brought in another inspector to check out the rv before we closed the deal. The inspector found one issue. Chris located a technician, brought him in, and had the issue repaired at no charge to me. This is our third motorhome. Take your money and run as fast as you can away from Grants Pass! A deal that started several weeks ago working with Sarah C. Has been a buyers nightmare. I was in the market to purchase a brand new 2022 Lance 1172. I was approved for the loan and Sarah had provided some very high numbers that I did not feel comfortable paying. I decided to not pursue the deal. Sarah was really hoping that I would accept these high numbers, which I kindly declined and decided not to proceed. Two days later I get a call from Alan the sales manager and he gives me different numbers that were in line from what I had received at Curtis Trailers. I agreed to those numbers with additional accessories and paid a $3k deposit. These accessories included a super hitch, which was suppose to be ordered for my pick up today 13MAY2022. After waking up at 0200 and driving the 4.5hrs and booking a hotel plus gas I arrived at Caveman RV this AM. After meeting Alan and Sarah in person my brother and I waited 1.5hrs only for Alan to disclose that there was a misunderstanding and the super hitch for my truck was never ordered. Essentially Sarah was under the impression I had a super hitch already on my truck and although I had send her pictures of my hitch of my trucks current stock hitch weeks prior. So not only did Caveman RV not order the right equipment that should of been part of the deal supposedly they stated this was miscommunication. This is straight out BS and this is exactly how they treat thier customers. They wait until you drive 4.5hrs, spend money on gas, take personal time off and not even offer resolution. Do yourselves a favor and go somewhere else. Caveman RV is not worth your time or money. See pictured of the hitch on my truck. It's not a super hitch as you can see! This was a bad screw up on thier part! Please take your business elsewhere. Save yourselves the time and headache! Don't count on Caveman RV to fix anything because instead of being proactive and offering if they can call around other dealers in hopes to fix the issue all they did was apologize. When we left I thought I grabbed the wrong Motorcoach. Jesse was so accommodating. The only time I heard the word "no" it was in front of the word "problem." We had lunch at a very nice restaurant walking distance from Henderson's. When we told our server why we were in Grants Pass she said many people who come intell her the same thing and they come from states all over the place to visit Henderson's. There's no doubt why.

Originally we were set to buy a 'Apex' trailer but we took one day late to finish the purchase and they sold it to another buyer. We began a second search for a trailer and decided on a small Coleman on closeout. We bought our Coleman (new - 2023 Closeout) to take to Texas for the Solar Eclipse. I don't believe that Forest River ever did an inspection of the trailer. We came back home with over 28 issues that needed repairs before we could use it again. The bathroom fan broke, the bed frame was broken, the mattress was torn, the magnets failed to keep drawers closed, The A/C kept tripping the circuit breaker, etc. THREE MONTHS later it was finally repaired, or so they claimed. The 3 months effectively took 1/4 of our 'Good Sam' year membership away. Also a 'Passport America' was cut by 1/4 as well. We took it for our 2nd trip to the coast for a long weekend and discovered that our refrigerator no longer worked. We returned the trailer, without an appointment, to service, and that was August 27th, 2024. It took Ewan, the service manager, until Wednesday, the 18th of September to call back to say that the 'compressor' needed replacement.... That was THREE weeks and THREE days that they did NOTHING before finally analysis of the problem. And, now, I have to see just how much longer they will have the trailer there awaiting the warranty repairs. Ewan, very polite, ought to be a politician. He's very good at schmoozing and keeping me from blowing my stack at the lack of service they actually provide there. To be fair, other RV enthusiasts have told us that MOST brands of trailers have issues with shoddy work in building them. But that is NOT an excuse for the absolute terrible slow work they do to repair on 'warranty'. A selling point was telling us that ANY 'Camping World' or Forest River could be used on the road to help us with repairs, and dump our 'black water' when boon docking. But we tried that in Denver, and in Bend and got no satisfaction from either of them because they were all 'booked up' and we would have to leave the trailer for them to fix simple things we needed done. Hindsight being 20/20 I wish that I had researched Forest River before making our purchase. We are now seriously considering a report to the 'Better Business Bureau' as my patience is now completely used up. We are so disappointed in this company. If YOU shop there, I pray that YOUR experience will be better.
