Worked alongside this company doing a different trade for my company at a jobsite and Lorton. Myself and numerous of their employees doing electric work. Two of my bags totaling around $2000 worth of tools stolen from a secure area that us tradesman only had access too while I was on the roof. When I asked the workers from this company about my missing equipment I was met with laughter... Us tradesman take pride in what we do....at least at my company. I also take pride in the tools I use to provide service to our customers. Aside from the astronomical cost of this equipment that will put me in the red and at risk of losing my job, I am at a loss for words for how this company would hire people who take solace in stealing thousands of dollars worth of tools from the line HVAC Tech in the building who went to the roof during his install. I am a godly man and one who believes in the rule of law. I am powerless in recovering my tools without making my company's reputation look bad. Maybe after 20 years this trade isn't for me anymore. You win Jim Coridon Electrical. Your guys at the Lorton Station jobsite on July 14th now have every tool I aquired in my 20 year career in HVAC. And me? Potentially no job by Monday. Top-class work. Recommended to me by several neighbors, and with good reason - these guys are the best in the business. They took on a complex job at my home and completed it on time and on-budget. Most importantly, the quality of their work is amazing - their customer service is from the bygone era of when people actually took pride in their business. These guys still do. They took care of every issue that arose and did so with the utmost professionalism. Mike even came by to make sure the job was done to my satisfaction and up to their standards (and it turns out their standards are higher than mine, which is saying something). I've had two very prompt visits from Jim Corridon Electric so far at the new house under our Dominion warranty program. Both times, not only did they diagnose the issues quickly, but allowed me to look over their shoulder to see what they were doing and explain what the issues were as they made the quality repairs. I was so impressed, I've started using their services for my trash company's needs and will continue to do so. Mike Hicks, their operations manager, is quick to respond to calls and make accommodations that work inside my schedule. Jim Corridon was refered to us by a friend. I called them on Tuesday morning because we have no power to our outside floodlights and I had a few other minor electric jobs that I was going to schedule. As per Susan L. I was informed that "Mike" will cal me back an schedule an appointment. By noon the following day I called again and asked if there was a holdup. I was assured that "Mike" will get back to me ASAP. I followed up with 3 additional calls that was ignored. Today (Thursday) a whopping 3 days after my initial call I still did not get that promised call from Mike. I called back and was assured that this was not normal and that "Mike" will call me back. I have heard that one before and will now take my business where it is appreciated. read more

Will not work with you to keep your business. They're eager to please initially, but once things go wrong, they are unyielding. I asked them to come after 12:30, because my nanny would be out of the house between 11:00 and 12:30 for one of my kids' activities. The scheduler agreed, but said he could possibly get someone there before 11:00. Assuming he meant there AND GONE by 11:00, I said great. But the tech showed up just a few minutes before 11:00 as my nanny was walking out the door, causing a problem. She let the tech finish and ended up getting our kids to class late. When I called to complain, the scheduler was intractable and refused to provide any consideration for the inconvenience. He actually started yelling at me through the phone. Having had a good experience with Corridon at my workplace, I elected to have them install 4 ceiling fans. (Less expensive than Home Depot's sub and seemed to ask the right questions.) Though I had to wait a week, it was worth it. It wasn't cheap but was well done. The fans are anchored solidly to the ceiling and I am confident they meet the proper code. The installer was on time, efficient, and cleaned up afterward, even vacuuming the area. read more

I have used Jim Corridon Electric in the past - on Thursday I called around 4 pm because all the outlets in my family room were suddenly not working and I had a few other minor electric jobs that I was going to schedule as long as they'd be coming to the house. After being on hold for about 5 minutes from the initial phone call, I was told that someone would call me back - I believe "Mike" - however, nobody called us back that day or even the following day. I still have no electric in my family room. Time to find a new electrician who appreciates my business. read more

Don't use Jim Corridon Electric. It took 3 visits to replace a water heater circuit breaker which should have taken only 2 visits. The first technician made no effort to investigate the cause of the original breaker tripping. "These things happen" was his response to my "why did it trip ". Had he investigated, one service call would have been eliminated - and when asked about payment, he said Dominion Electric. I assumed Dominion Electric Power Co was paying for that call. Additionally, I was never quoted their labor rates or given an estimate. Calls to Mike Hicks ( only returned on the 4th try ) to negotiate or compromise the cost of $535.50 total for 3 1/2 hrs. of labor and a $115,50 switch were unproductive. I believe this charge is way out of line. read more

The customer service from Jim Corridon Electric has been nothing but abysmal. I scheduled an appointment for an estimate for a large electrical project. An hour after they were scheduled to arrive, I called for an update and was told by the Service Manager, that he'd made a mistake and entered my appointment for the wrong day. He knew that he had scheduled with me, but had entered it into his calendar incorrectly. My husband and I had both taken the day off work to meet him, so I was understandably irritated. His response was rude and belligerent. He then told me (after repeated phone calls) that he would have someone there by noon. At 1:00, still no estimator, I cancelled the appointment. At 1:30 someone arrived and we walked through project. He told me I would have an estimate by the end of the week. I called the following Wednesday, but no one returned my call. I called Thursday, was told they'd have it to me ASAP. Called Friday, was told I'd have it by the end of the day. Called Tuesday, and no return call. Another week has passed (over 2 weeks since the original visit), and still nothing. When I just called for an update, I was met with another round of sitting on hold, a very rude service manager, and another promise of a returned call that I'm certain will not happen. At least I've learned all of this before handing them a check. I can't imagine what I'd go through trying to get any follow up service after they've taken my payment. read more
