TIRES: 2016 F150 .... 54,000 Miles Jim Norton has a tire sale now, so I think this is a perfect time for this review. I bought TWO new F150 trucks from Mathews Ford in 2016, before Jim Norton bought the dealership. I purchased a set of tires January of 2025. Last week I noticed all four rims were damaged. Why didn't I notice it earlier? I'm 78 years old with back issues, so I can no longer do my own detail work. My last surgery was Oct 31, 2025. Jim Norton is saying 2016 wheels are faulty. Horrible Service, Greatly Over Charged, Told that's what it is. 2017 Ford E-450. First I asked if they have the ability to do an alignment when I was there for an oil change (Truck pulling slightly). I called again just to make sure they would be able to do an Alignment on my E-450 Box Truck. I know not every place has a rack big enough. Well they "played" with it for 2 hours. Then said they don't have the attachment for steel rims. On leaving truck was WAY out of alignment. Had to go to Tulsa Auto Springs right a way to get it fixed, even they were like 'WTH!". Now had Jim Norton Ford do a Rear Diff Service, most simple basic service on a vehicle. 'Rear differential service is a preventative maintenance process for rear-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive vehicles that involves draining old, contaminated fluid from the differential and replacing it with new, clean fluid' definition from Google. Differential Fluid Replacement -'Valvoline Instant Oil Change https://www.vioc.com ' differential-services Our certified technicians can perform this service in about 10 minutes - while you wait in the convenience of your car.'- Ford technician took 3 hours. No update, they said there were no problems. Technician took 45 minutes to get the last quart in? I timed him. They charged me $329. Anywhere else this service is $50-79 dollars. The last couple years I had a business with a fleet of 20 vehicles. I know what services cost. Plus always have gotten this done on my personal vehicles. Just for reference had 4x4 service done on my 2017 Toyota recently. Front and Rear Differential plus Transfer Case $160. At the dealership, Toyota treats you awesome, professional advisors, great waiting area, friendly staff, everyone going out of their way to give you a great customer experience, they also tell you cost of services up front and they wash your vehicle. If Jim Norton Ford overcharges someone who knows vehicles, what chance does anyone else have? Tried talking to someone, even used the website to get a hold of someone, Phillip P., Service Manager? Held the line of this is what it costs. No Phillip, this is what it costs when you happily screw people, and don't have a problem with a tech taking 45 minutes to add one quart of oil. read more

Contacted Mathews Ford Dealership today as they had a significant Dealer Discount of $34k on a 2023 Ford F150 XLT, which the truck came out to $30,212. After I contacted sales they told me the price was $64k and that must have been a mistake. Who makes a dramatic mistake like this...really?? They were using a bait and switch tactic on me and/or they were doing this dramatic sale price to obtain attention and get folks to call and persuade you into buying something else. Be careful with this sneaky dealer and I would do any negotiating via email to get an OTD or you will loose leverage if you go to the dealership. On consecutive days, I took two vehicles to Matthews Ford for an oil change. The recommended tire pressure on one car was 35 psi and the other one was 36 psi. When I got the cars back, air had been let out of all 8 tires. Seven of the tires were at 30 psi and one tire was at 29 psi. The one at 29 caused the low tire pressure warning to go off. One of the cars had nitrogen in the tires. Needless to say, I will not take another car to Matthews Ford. read more

Went to get an oil change at about 930am on a Wednesday. I told the I needed an oil change. He told me it was going to be 3 hours and asked if that was ok. I said no and went to Tate Boys and they had my oil change done in less than an hour. We have oil changes included when we purchased the vehicle but I refuse to wait 3 hours unless they are offering a loaner vehicle. I didn't ask about one but it was not offered to me either. Do not take your vehicle here for any service of any kind. I had to take mine here due to Bill Knight dealership being booked 3 weeks out. Needed repair, was my moon/sun roof motor. They had it for 2 days, no problem. But when I arrived to pick it up, the front windshield had a grapefruit size Crack. My service advisor said, no problem. Leave it with him, and he would take care of us. We left, and had just got home, when he called and said his boss, service manager advised no deal. They would not fix. He stated a rock chip caused the breakage. We argued and I left, going right to Safelite Auto Glass, and Robinson Glass what they said. I took back to Car lot and had put in service department. I was told that I had to wait for my warranty to kick in on May 27th, I was ok with that. I was also told they would start working on it the day after Memorial Day & they did not do that. I got a call from sales man asking me to bring ing in the vehicle I was driving he wanted to put me in another car while my car was still in the service department.. ask my salesman when my car was going to be done he told me they had started working on it and probably would not until week.. I was VERY UPSET & FRUSTRATED. I can't even enjoy driving my car which I have already made a payment.. I work my butt off to get this car.. After a year and a half with this dealership I suggest going somewhere else. From quick lane to service even with an ESP this dealership struggles to get anything right the first time. There quick to sell you something, but with zero follow through and plenty of apologies, but nothing changes. There's constant turnover so in both areas and dealership staff have no idea what's going on. So, that being said if you're in the market for a new or used ford there are plenty of other dealers to purchase from.I would have but zero starts but I had to choose at least one. read more

Let me start by saying that my family has been buying vehicles from Mathews Ford (Ford of Tulsa, United Ford, Jim Norton Ford & a couple other names that It has been) for over 20 years. Buy your car here- they will take good care of you but for the love of all that is good and holy, take your car elsewhere to be serviced. I began having this dealership service my vehicles over 15 years ago. The service Dept has progressively gotten worse over the years but they lost their only redeeming quality when Scott Monroe (service writer) left the dealership in 2015. Anyway, I bought a used F150 from Matthews Ford in January of 2018. Its a great truck and I got a good deal, however it had a pretty bad pull to the left and a speed wobble at speeds over 70 MPH. The salesman spoke with his manager and told me that they would re-align the truck for free. Great, but that was the end of the good. The service dept (Chris) told me that the truck had an alignment done when they had taken in the truck, then the truck was sold (for a about a week) and then it was returned and they did another alignment. They said they'd do an alignment again but that it probably wouldn't do anything. (my alignment was supposedly the 3rd alignment they had done on this truck) I brought the truck in, waited over 2 hours and received the truck back. Chris told me that due to my wheel/tire combo, tire shake was unavoidable. I drove off the lot and within a mile I realized that the alignment was actually worse than when I had brought it in. The next week, I called Chris back to inform him of the problem, He said he would talk to management and get back to me. It has been a month and I still have not heard back from him. Fearing a bent tie-rod or something expensive, I took the truck to a shop I trust. In under an hour, they had found the problem (bad tire) and replaced it. the truck drives like a dream now, doesn't pull or have speed wobbles. Moral of the story: Buy vehicles from Matthews Ford, BUT GO SOMEWHERE ELSE TO SERVICE THEM. read more

Took my truck in to get fixed. 37,000 miles on an F150 . Electrical issues. Misfire, timing sensor alerts, motor control faults, oil pressure warning for a brief second while driving. Checked oil. 9/10th Full on dipstick. Issue kept happening, so I kept checking. (Fault info provided by Ford Pass app and my own scanner as well as dash alerts) Made appointment with Mathews Ford two weeks in advance. About 10am I get a call from Curtis the service advisor that the oil was low? Said if I change the oil it would fix the problem. Being that I was a few 100 miles before needing an oil change I agreed. Didn't hear from him until the next day when I called him (3pm) and he told me the oil changed fixed the problem and they had to reprogram computer. Had to reprogram computer?, I thought. Wasn't the oil change the problem he said would fix it? At this point I knew they got me for an oil change that I didn't really want done with them. Normally takes an hour and half or more and it's too pricey. The next day I call and he says my trucks not done yet and he would call me tomorrow when it is done. The next day I get a call telling me that it's ready and Around 3pm I go in to get my truck thinking I'm just going to have to pay for an oil change. Nope it's $265, with my extended warranty Plus plan... so he claims it doesn't cover diagnostic fees. But when they sold me the extended warranty I was told I would pay Zero dollars if I took my truck to them, or $100 if I took it to another Ford dealership. Service advisor didn't advised me of this "new" diagnostic fee or changes in the policy before hand. So not only did they get me on this fee, they got me on the oil change that a reprogrammed computer fixed. Service advisor even changed the paperwork to say No oil in truck but nothing mentioned about reprogramming computer. And if it truly was out of oil, (which it wasn't) ,where did it go and why didn't they look for a problem?!? Obviously it's an issue if they claim no oil in less than 3 thousand miles! And he's not worried because it's a lie! Plus I was changed $27 dollars additional for hazardous waste removal ??? What was that??? USED OIL! Told the service advisor that I wouldn't be back and he said that if I didn't believe him that he didn't want me back. He did say he would give me a "discount" and I declined because thats not why I'm so ticked! He tried to make it my fault to back up his claim of "no oil" . I've rebuilt motors before so im not an idiot to checking oil. Im an electrician and have work on many systems including low volt system and I know system faults and electrical issues when I see it! Know who your talking to before you make accusations that you know nothing about! Everyone Please take note, Everytime I deal with these people I run into something shady! There are plenty of other dealerships you could go to without having to deal with this garbage. I would also advise you to NEVER buy an extended warranty Plus through them if they can't even honor the agreement of Zero cost . I purchased a CPO 2019 Mustang Eco Boost Premium from Matthew's on 9/21/21. From the second day I had it there was an issue with the transmission when in Sport+, Sport or Trqck mode. It spent 3 days with them only to return a week later. On 10/18/21 it was dropped and was there for 3 weeks with still no solution. When we had an issue the first time I had mentioned just returning the vehicle and giving me back my 2018 Ford Escape SE that was used as a trade in. I was told the car was already sold, 2 days after we bought the Mustang. Now we have since returned the Mustang and we were then bullied into buying another vehicle. Move forward a couple of days and again they lied about the Mustang. It is on there service center on a lift but it is listed for sale on the website, as it is still full of my personal belongings. I called and they said it was a different vehicle. Funny I have the VINS for both my Esxape and Mustang and BOTH vehicles are listed on their lot as of today for sale. I went to the dealership to get my belongings and the service department was closed. I have been nothing but li d to by Donald Pullen II over and over. He is a total disgrace to the Ford name and doesn't deserve selling them used toilet paper. I have pics of both vehicle VINS from my contract and personal parents as well as proof of the VINS on their website. When I went there to call him out on his lies he rolled his eyes and walked away. This is the first and last time I ever do business with them. The ironic thing is I told him on our first conversation that my brother is a Finance Director for Ford. Worst dealership ever! Gave 1 star because it was required. They deserve a negative rating. My family had been talking to an employee that worked there about a few different vehicles they had listed for sale. My family drove over an hour to see these vehicles in person. Upon arrival they were told that the vehicles were sold earlier that morning and the person they had scheduled to talk to hadn't shown up for work. The employee that was assisting them then insulted my mother by asking if she wanted to see if she could "fit" into one of the alternative vehicles she was interested in. I would suggest not considering dealing with this car lot. Do not get your vehicle services at this company. We scheduled a fast lane visit for wednesday before Thanksgiving. Our appointment was for 1pm and we left around 4pm. They put the wrong oil in our gt500 ( they used 5w20 instead of 5w50 ). We caught it because they were having us pay ahead of time ( car was up on the rack still ) and we noticed the ticket was to cheap and said 5w20. I pointed it out and the lady said " oh they havent filled it yet so I will have them use the correct oil 5w50". So I set back down and 1 hour later the tech came up and told me they would have to reschedule for next wednesday to do the super charger coolant flush because they needed to do some research on it. Then she apologized for PUTTING 5w20 in my car and she said I drained it immediately. They she said we put the correct 5w30 in it for you. Again suppose only use 5w50 oil. I told her it is suppose to be 5w50 like the oil cap reads. She then said oh that's what I used in it. As I have the conversation I hear my car coming around for pick up. I left and the car was idling weird at stops ( never done that before ) I went to store and bought 5w50 oil and changed it myself. I called the manager and he said he verified the correct oil was used but at this point the trust is completely gone. Charged me $125.00 and he told me he would give me a discount next time i get it changed with them. They do not know what they are doing. My family & I have purchased quite a few vehicles with Mathews Ford throughout the years & taken them there for servicing/maintenance. I just purchased my suv there almost a month ago with 1 stipulation- It had to be able to pull my work trailer & everything work correctly. As soon as I bought the suv I went to go pick up my trailer and noticed that none of the trailer lights were working. I quickly found out it wasn't a trailer issue (other vehicles we connected worked fine), but a power issue with the adapter. Frustrated, I took it to Mathews & told them the issue. They "supposedly" took it back to the service dept while I waited & came back telling me "everything works fine.. there's power running to the adapter". I told the salesman if the trailer lights still didn't work when I got home I wouldn't be happy. Sure enough.. still no trailer lights. I took it back the next day telling the salesman to check it again. This time I find out the connectors & the wiring harness are both corroded & have to be replaced. Best part? They're waiting to see if my extended warranty will cover fixing it. I'm so frustrated because I know they never actually looked at it the first time I brought it in.
