We were first very upset because we received a letter from the dealership giving us a recall appointment time. When we arrived early on Monday morning for our appointment they didn't even have the part needed to perform the work. We were told that the appointment was scheduled in Texas, and the part had to be ordered. After all that my husband was very happy with the excellent service he received from Devel. We did leave our Ford there for a week. Rental car was offered, but we didn't need it. We have purchased several Fords from this dealership and the service has always been great. I dropped my Ford ranger off for the works package and later when I picked up my truck I noticed what It seemed like a tire was making scrubbing noise in the wheel well, I didn't think no more about it till we went out to dinner and I heard the same noise again. It looks like the mechanic left a screw out of this trim piece inside the wheel well why would they even remove that screw and not replace it back but was what rubbing against my tire!!! read more

Overall, the tech service was decent and the people working there were both friendly and knowledgeable at what they do.. However, that being said their prices are just way too high in my opinion. At first, I was told that first time customers would receive a full inspection for free but after I dropped off the vehicle, they told me that the free inspection is not a full inspection but rather just a fast inspection for scanning my vehicle's warning lights.. I'm like really? That's kinda ridiculous! After all, I was very disappointed for the pricing I received and the quotes they gave me for parts and labor would not add up or make any sense in any kind of way as to why they're charging me so much money. Literally the RUDEST most incompetent dealership I have EVER dealt with, boyfriend recently bought a truck here and the finance girl was RUDE AS HELLLLL and rolled her eyes and had the most insane attitude towards us and was making comments about us being there so late (we had been there since 12 and it was nearing 5 when we left) and dropping F bombs about it, not to mention we couldnt get the truck same day due to "software updates" and was told to pick it up today just to find out its not ready. then when we asked for a loaner we were basically told hell no and that ford only does them "2-3 days max" which is BS. My father WORKS for ford and that just isn't true. the ONLY nice person there was our salesman Khalil. shout out to him because he is way too nice of a person to be working for what truly seems as a corrupt awful business. Purchased a used 2023 F450 Limited at the end of 2025. Was told the truck was thoroughly inspected and received their Gold rating. There have been many problems with this truck, to the point, that within the first two weeks of ownership it was in the local dealer shop for well over half of that time. He was very helpful & so great. He asked when I would like my car to be ready by on Nov. 11th & I jokingly said 9am. My appointment was for 8:30am. Cole replied It will be ready! To Whom It May Concern, I brought my Ford Transit Connect--an essential work vehicle--to Jim Tidwell Ford for service due to a pre-collision warning issue that caused the van to stall. When I initially dropped off the van, I suspected it was a sensor problem. The vehicle remained at the service center for six weeks. During that time, the team rebuilt the fuel injectors, which did not resolve the issue. They then rebuilt the transmission, which was covered under warranty. When I arrived to pick up the van, Kelsey took it for a test drive and reported another error. I asked them to address it properly, as I rely on this van for work. Later, Kelsey called and informed me the issue was indeed related to the sensor, which was not covered under warranty and would cost $3,500 out of pocket. At that point, I was frustrated and opted to retrieve the vehicle without the repair. After one week of use, my technician experienced the same original issue--pre-collision warning and stalling. I've now paid for six weeks of rental vehicles, and the problem is still unresolved. This review is in regard to invoice# 370840 dated 6 May 2025. I may be off on the dates I mention in this review. I took my 2012 Ford F250 truck in for service on April 18, 2025. My problems were 1) Clunking noise in the rear end. 2) TPM Sensors not working. 3) AC not working. 4) Oil Change. 1) Clunking - Tech states is was the 5th wheel hitch. I have since removed the hitch from the truck and the clunking still exists. Tech must have been wrong 2) TPMs - TPMs are bad. I requested they not be replaced. 3) AC - Tech preformed service including refrigerant and pressure leak test. Charge was $1182.59. 4) Oil Change - Done (I guess) Charge $179.95 The invoice for $1377.13 was paid on May 6, 2025 and the truck was delivered to my house. When I moved the truck to the opposite side of the driveway I noticed that the AC was blowing hot air just as it did before I paid $1,182.59 to have it repaired. I called the service advisor Christopher Terry and he arranged for the truck to be picked up and brought back to Jim Tidwell Service Dept. On June 2, 2025 Christopher Terry called and stated that the compressor was bad and needed to be replaced. The quote for this work was $2,400. I thought to myself that if the compressor was bad why didn't they see that in the beginning. The compressor is a huge part of the AC system. I asked Mr. Terry to return the truck without any further work being done. He did return the truck on June 2, 2025. I then got a quote from my regular repair shop for a new compressor. Their price was around $1,000 ( I don't remember the exact price but it was less than half the Jim Tidwell quote. I also understand there may have been a difference OEM v off the shelf prices.) I took my truck in and the next day they informed me that the compressor was good and did not need to be replaced. They evacuated the lines and recharged the system and charged me $146.78. I picked the truck up June 9, 2025 Since this repair I have driven the truck 5,067 miles. This includes pulling my camper to Colorado and back during the hottest part of the summer. The AC preformed flawlessly. From that test, I can confidently assume I did not need a new compressor AND had I paid Jim Tidwell to replace my existing compressor it would not have fixed the problem and I would have been out another $2,400 and still the AC would have not been fixed. In conclusion I spent $1377.13 minus $179.95 for the oil change for nothing. I will not be going back to Jim Tidwell again. read more

bought a Fusion in Feb 25 and took it to Tidwell for oil change. they said front brake pads needed changing but no further comment. I didnt do service then because dealers always want to add more service. fast forward to beginning of April starting to make a small raspy noise when braking (brakes seemed to be working fine) scheduled service and went Friday (4/11) got there 9AM. The person attending read me internal memo about car where man had said in a scale of 1-10 the pads were a 0 (nobody had told me this before and nothing was annotated on sheet they gave me or I would have come sooner) at 11:51 they sent me a text that rotors couldnt be resurfaced and wanted me to approve services around 5 time original. why did they take 3 hours to discover that??? Avoid this place like the plague After driving an hour to see several vehicles that were supposedly at the dealership, they only had one, despite the fact that after several calls, texts and checking their website, they were supposed to have several. Transit was running rough so I took it here to figure out what was wrong. They said I needed to replace the ERG Valve at a cost of $933, along with brakes and other stuff that were not needed or asked for. Got them to replace the ERG and it did not fix the issue. Took the van to a independent mechanic and then AAMCO to find out it was in the transmission. So Tidwell misdiagnosed the problem and I'm out an extra $1,000 on top of having to get a new transmission for a 2019 van because ford doesn't have parts available for this transmission yet, I had to get a whole new one. I would not trust them to give you a proper diagnosis on engine problems and watch out for them trying to upsell you services you do not actually need. I want to say that this dealership is about the best here in Georgia. For lots of reasons, you have more cars than other dealers, so you have a choice. I test drove other Ford Edges, but by the time I could get my wallet out, they were sold, as they only had one. You had 10 Ford Edges for me to pick from. I test drove one a couple of times. Until I realized it had 2200 miles on it. The one next to it in the parking lot was calling me, so I bought it. Your salesman, DeShawn Hardnick, was outstanding. He and I had a good rapport. He was knowledgable, and very helpful. He paired my phone, hooked me up with the Ford App, told me about features of the car, filled up the tank so we could take test drives, and had the car spic and span by the time I picked it up. Really terrible customer service from A to Z. I was so excited to get THE car I wanted, which they happened to have. However the communication and level of engagement is so poor that I eventually gave up. I kept getting tossed around from person to person with no explanation of why. All the while I kept thinking 'hmm odd, I'm trying to give you money to purchase a product.' This dealership is probably even subpar than a DMV experience. Interesting in a way... so many case studies on this exact issue, but management either fails to care, or doesn't except... just like Pan Am and Sears. We may have a recession soon. And if we do, Jim Tidwell ownership will be without buyers, without inventory, and without potential future/prospective customers due to lack of care/motivation from the staff. This dealership is a perfect example of why the industry is changing, and why the consumer is switching to Carvana/Vroom/Carmax/Tesla. Came in to sell my Maverick and after 1 hr of signing all the contract documents, bill of sale, pay off amount etc... booked my Lyft ride to go home the GM ran out and told me they had to cancel or shred the contract. Their reason is another GM had incorrectly gave me the wrong appraisal value. How was it my fault after 1 hr of signing the paper work? If I could leave zero stars I would. I would never use this Ford dealer for service - even something simple like an oil change. I made an appointment in advance for two small recalls, an oil change, and a tire rotation. I asked them to top off my fluids, which should be the norm, including wiper fluid and DEF (I have a diesel F350). I dropped it off early Friday afternoon, and Justin, the service tech told me it may not be done until Monday. Huh? The recall work was simple, and an oil change and tire rotation should take about 30-60 minutes. I asked for a loaner car, and was told they don't have them. They did offer me a Lyft, which is nice, but it's no substitute for being able to go somewhere. Saturday around 3:30, no word, so I called. After 15 minutes, Johnny (Justin was off) said, yeah, call back and we'll send a Lyft close to 4:00. I got to the dealer, paid, and asked if they had replaced the oil or air filter. Johnny said "no, doesn't appear they did". I asked them to check that because the last fill up, my MPG dropped significantly, and the truck has 30k miles, and they've never been replaced. When I left, I saw the DEF had not been filled, and I got two error messages about my trailer connection and that I had no wiper fluid. I called the next day and Josh, one of the service managers answered. I explained the situation. He was very apologetic, and offered to send a driver to pick it up. They did, but had to keep it overnight. Red flags everywhere. So now they've had my truck almost 3 full days, going on 4, for a simple job. They delivered it back to me this morning, and the wiper fluid is STILL empty. How is this level of ineptitude possible? I called again, and they said all the right things, and offered to pick it up again. No way. How do I know they did anything? Did they check the oil filter, air filter, rotate the tires? Did they actually change the oil? Check the tire pressure? How hard is it to follow a checklist? Absolutely a nightmare, and now I need to take it to a GOOD dealer to make sure that work gets done. At least they refunded my cost, but now I will be without my truck again. Stay away. read more

EDIT 3/10/2022: why bother giving me an email address and acting as though you're going to resolve my issue when you absolutely have not responded to the email I sent last week (when you asked me to email you via Edmunds)? I grant grace because we're dealing with a pandemic. Companies are understaffed and MOST are doing the best they can. However, there's nothing wrong with keeping customers updated. I dropped my car off on 2/19. My car wasn't ready until approximately two weeks later (LITERALLY got my car back on March 5th). I was told that my driver side windows motor went out and would need to be replaced. No problem. I wasn't updated throughout this process UNLESS I called myself. I was promised three different time frames for completion. Moves weren't made until I contacted management and let them know what was going on. To add insult to injury, one of my issues isn't fixed. I'm terrified of taking my car back to the dealership for assistance because who's to say it won't take another two weeks? Unfortunately, I work for myself from home. I can't be without my car that long again. So I dunno what I'm going to do. Courtney (who works in service) was sweet. But they could definitely use more help and organization. I'd also like to point out that after posting a review on Edmunds, a business manager with an email that begins with "jsmith3" asked me to contact him so they could rectify the situation. Of course I haven't heard anything from them since. Went in for service with two questions. This was a complete waste of time. The service advisor's main job is to frustrate you and give you the runaround. I wanted to know 2 things- can You install factory headlight housing? Does the truck need a software update on the transmission? Was told that they might be able to do the headlights, and it will be three weeks before they have to keep my truck for 72 hours to do a transmission test. I got my 21 Ford Edge oil changed on Saturday July 9, 2022. When I got home I lifted the hood to find oil sprayed all over my engine bay, the underside of my hood , windshield wipers and the lower part of my windshield. I called and left a message for the Service manager Mr. Sims. When he returned my call and I explained what happened, all he would do is apologize. I decided to look at my dash cam video this morning. This dash cam records continuously even when parked. I can see my car being driven into the service bay, the tech lifting the hood and then there is a 30 minute gap in the video while the oil change is supposedly being done. (The ONLY way there would be a gap in the video sequence is if someone disconnected the power to my dash cam). When the video resumes there are three techs standing there, one of them is laughing and one of them is casually wiping stuff around my engine while staring directly at the camera. I wish I had the microphone turned on, I would have loved to hear what they were saying. I will never go back To Tidwell Ford again for any kind of service! read more

I've completely given up on Jim Tidwell Ford, they are some of the most incompetent people I have ever come across. I have been taking my Ford here since 2016 for every service needed and it has been an absolute nightmare EVERY SINGLE TIME. I give up. You would think with all these negative reviews that they would at least try, but that is obviously too much for them to handle. I don't know where to begin.. Let's start with my most recent visit, where I left my vehicle for a 72-hour diagnosis and an oil change. I waited all year and took off work for an entire week to get several services done all at once. 7 days pass, nothing. No calls or updates. Zero communication. I show up to find out they never even looked at anything I asked them to look at and didn't perform the oil change. They literally kept my car for 7 days and did NOTHING. This was my official "I'm done with this place" moment. They claimed they called. There's no calls, voicemails, or messages. They claimed they "couldn't replicate the problems I had", yet I replicated it right then and there in front of them. What a bunch of clowns! Another experience I should share is when I once picked up my vehicle after an oil change and my car was completely infested with ants! My vehicle was sitting there for a couple days when I didn't have a ride to go pick it up, so when I did eventually come get it, I noticed the ants on my dash while driving home. When I pulled into my garage, I realized there were hundreds of ants under my backseat. I have never had any insects in my vehicle until I took it to Jim Tidwell. It took me a couple days to get them all out. I don't know where they left my vehicle over those two days, but it definitely shows it was not cared for. There's also been several times I've tried getting quotes for various services on my vehicle and these people at the counter will literally say "I don't know" and won't put in any effort to find the costs. I'm literally trying to give them my money and they won't take it. I asked for the cost to replace my windshield...."I don't know that answer".....ok well how much is it to replace my backup camera?...."I couldn't tell you that either".....ok....WELL LOOK IT UP AND FIND OUT. Other issues I find common here: - Oil changes typically take 3-4 hours. - Nobody greets you when you first walk in, you just stand there in confusion while everybody is working on their computer and you don't know where to go. - Multiple times I have picked up my car from an oil change and they don't reset the oil change indicator. So even though I just had it changed, I'll continue getting indicators in the car saying I need to change the oil again. I've come to learn this is such an easy thing to reset, yet they don't bother doing it. I don't understand these people. They treat customers like garbage and show a major lack of communication, experience, and customer service. I'm not saying don't buy a Ford or go to a Ford dealership. I'm saying you should just avoid this specific dealership entirely. The amount of stress that comes from Jim Tidwell Ford is not worth anybody's time. read more

If you want to trust them with your time and service that's on you. Had a check engine light pop up in my 2016 escape. Always buy and service my vehicles at mall of Georgia ford but being new in the area didn't want to spend a day driving over. Called to make an appointment. "We have free WiFi and coffee while you wait for the diagnostics and a tech will get with you in 30-45 minutes of the result and let you know options." Great. Get there 25 minutes before my appointment today. "You have to leave the car" "I have an appointment at 1030..." "You have to leave the car. Your appointment is to get it in our system. All diagnostics are 24 hours." "Then why would I have an appointment, she asked me if I would be able to leave the car or wanted to wait and told her I couldn't leave the vehicle." "I don't know but you have to leave it. We won't check it today." "So why do I have an appointment and was asked to arrive 15 minutes prior?" "I dont know but we don't look at it today you have to leave it." So - good luck with their service department. There's a reason I keep driving to Buford for ford service. read more
