Only after she took our order and brought the check did the self-described "manager" (aka the bartender) inform us that "prices have increased." She pointed to the bottom of the menu where it says "Revised July 2026", . . . only the prices on the menu weren't actually revised, they were the old prices. Um, what? Also, avoid ordering black olives on your pizza. It will cost you $2.50. I could have bought two-and-a-half cans of black olives at the grocery store and made a lunch out of that instead. This is a great local pizza spot that can accommodate large groups. We have come here a numerous amount of times after game days with either just the family or with the whole team. Sometimes we call ahead and sometimes we don't, but each time the staff here has been very accommodating. Their thin crust pizza is very good and quite tasty with a nice and crunchy crust. We always get the mozzarella sticks, cheesy bread and chicken wings as well. You pretty much can't go wrong with whatever you order here and service is pretty fast. Oh and they have liquor and TVs to watch your favorite team. Definitely a plus! read more

We ordered the chicken feta and spinach pizza with extra cheese, and I'll be honest -- it was absolutely fantastic. Great flavor, perfectly balanced toppings, and definitely something I'd order again. We also tried the wings. I'd probably skip those next time. The sauce was just okay, and the wings themselves weren't as crispy as you'd expect. They tasted more like frozen wings than fresh. If that doesn't bother you, you might be fine -- but they didn't stand out. Finally got to give Quonset a try! Ordered a large sausage and mushroom thin crust; it's most definitely THIN but not very crisp. Nonetheless it tasted good and the sausage was above average and notable. Also ordered their Italian beef with mozzarella and hot peppers to split (my friend insisted on the cheese which I cringed at but okay..fine). This Italian was a disappointment to say the least. It came with a side of au jus (so it was dry and not wet) and served with pepperoncini peppers on the side; it was not dipped so you had to treat it like a French dip... and what's with the pepperoncinis?? They had giardiniera listed as a pizza topping but used pepperocini peppers for the Italian beef??!! Defiantly not a Chicago move here folks. I live near here and get a small cheese to go several times a month. I may not be there at peak times but for me it's always better to walk in and order and wait for it than to call ahead. Never timed it but it doesn't ever seem like a long wait and the product is a landmark of consistency. 12", $13.50 now. $4.50-$5.50 in the late 1970's. I've lived around here in stretches now and again for 50+ years and this place is always the same as it was when I was in high school. For a small, independent bar-pizza joint, that's really impressive. But this place deserves some kind of a plaque. The small cheese pizza these folks put out today is photo-level consistent with what they put out in 1970. Ordinarily I would accept that I may have a little wishful brain fog about the crust and the sauce and the cheese being identical but that's also what I see when I look at comments. So, I may pick one up this afternoon. What's described as the cracker style crust holds up pretty well but it's still best all-around when eaten in the store. Haven't eaten one while sitting at the bar right after it came out of the oven in a long time but if I order it when I get there, 1 diet Pepsi later I'm walking out the door. I feel ashamed that it took me so long to try this place, but I am glad I finally had the opportunity. The building itself has an interesting history, established right at the close of WWII using an actual wartime Quonset hut which two veterans brought back to Waukegan and used as the shell of this pizza establishment. The walls of Quonset are covered in old newspaper articles explaining its history, which is pretty cool. The interior is definitely a throwback and is pretty fun to see. Unfortunately, the treat of getting to experience the building itself in no way carried over to the food or the customer experience. I called to order takeout, and a woman hung up the phone on me twice before finally answering with an exasperated tone on the third call. This was at 1pm on a weekday, certainly not a prime time during which they would be incapable of manning the phones. We ordered a large BLT pizza with onions, a side of garlic bread, and several drinks and were told we could come 25 minutes later to collect. Upon arrival, the restaurant was empty and dead inside, with the exception of one Uber Eats driver picking up an order. The employee assisting the driver took an extremely long time to ring her up, having to try to run the credit card machine multiple times, which left me standing and waiting for about seven minutes before I was given my order and could pay. The entire time I was waiting in line, another employee stood directly next to the cashier simply watching and looking around, at no point offering to assist me on any of the other three or four registers that were not in use on the same exact counter. The Uber Eats driver was asked if she wanted any red pepper flakes or parmesan packets for her order, to which she said yes. When it came my turn to pick up my order, I was not offered any of these extras. When we got home with our pizza just minutes after pickup, we were stunned to see that the pizza was ice cold, wrapped in foil, and put upside down in the box. The foil itself was cold to the touch, to the point where we wondered if we had somehow accidentally ordered an uncooked pizza which we would have to cook ourselves, but no, the pizza we had ordered 35 minutes prior definitely had a baked crust, it was simply freezing cold. Because it was upside down in the box, the majority of the toppings fell off, but in the rubble, we could only manage to find two small rings of sliced onion, so I'm not sure why we bothered paying extra for that. The pizza was covered with a pungent, stinky parmesan cheese which really detracted from the experience due to the unpleasant smell. Nothing about the pizza was remarkable or memorable.. It was just cold and had a poor taste and was carelessly prepared and packaged. This is not our first time ordering BLT pizza, and in no way did it meet our expectations. The garlic bread was also extremely underwhelming: room temperature and tasting only of oregano, not a hint of garlic in the entire thing. From the bad attitude on the phone, to the overpriced menu, to the staff lazily refusing to assist customers, to the lack of attention to the client (we even said it was our first time visiting), to the poor quality product, we would NOT return to this restaurant to try other products. read more

Went there this past Saturday with my dad and I and the first thing that happened when walked in. They welcomed us in and asked for us to sit in the front part of the restaurant. We sat down and the same person who asked us to sit down, ended up being out waitress. After 15 min, my dad had to ask a waitress walking past if she could help us out. Others that walked in after, were already being helped before us. Waitress was monotoned. Didn't like her job. Didn't apologize or nothing. We ordered a combo and a large pizza. Combo came out same time our pizza came out. Some of the meat over cooked and bread was super crispy. The only reason why it was good is because of the au jus. The pizza, we got pepperoni and onion. My side of the pizza looked it was only cheese as there was hardly any pepperoni and almost no onion at all. The other side, pepperoni on the end pieces and onion on the inside pieces. If you live in the area Quonset is a must. It's such a classic place. I remember coming to this place when I was a kid and decided to try again as adult to see if it still holds true to be an underrated spot to get delicious pizza. It passed the test. Their thin crust pizza is filled with flavor and love that they don't skimp out on the cheese. We got half Italian beef and giardeniera the other was mushroom, onions, green peppers, and black olives. We called ahead to order so by the time we got there our food was ready and it was still hot which is always a plus to calling ahead for dine in. The wings are a good size and the garlic parm flavor was not too powerful which I enjoyed. Our server/bartender was super friendly and attentive. I was there for the lunch special for an 8" individual pizza and non alcoholic drink. I t was absolutely wonderful and delicious.

Was disappointed with almost everything about our visit. We ordered 2 sandwiches and a mini pizza. Also drinks (2 sodas and 1 water). We were brought out 3 sodas and said we only had 2 so they took one drink back and brought the water. Sandwiches came out and was told pizza would be there shortly. 10 minutes later pizza was brought out. Other companions had just about finished their meal. When the bill arrived the 3rd drink was on it and none of our menu item prices matched the prices on the menus on the table. All were more than the menu stated. They sandwiches were OK but had a hard time locating the cheese that we requested. The pizza was also OK but nothing that stood out so I'd say food was average.
