Finally got to try his gem of a taco spot. Indoor seating and a drive through. The lady who took my order was nice, she did leave me in silence for a good minute or 2, I assumed she was helping the car in front of me at the window, so I just waited. It wasn't hella expensive. The tacos are crunchy, flavorful. Think Jack in the box taco but with flair! They dust the taco with queso fresco which was like the cherry on top! Their salsa tasted like a semi spicy pozole sauce. Their horchata was a complete miss for me, just nasty. Whoever the pink lemonade was so delicious! Churro wasn't my favorite either, tasted like a frozen churro. Terrible customer service. The old lady at the drive-up window needs to take some customer service training. She is very rude when you have a online order and she does not know how to read a computer screen because everytime I do an online order I have to pull up the order on my phone and hand it to her to prove that I paid! She also fails to give me extras that I paid for. I will never be going back to this location. read more

Shells not fresh food not hot waited 4-5 min for my food rice is cold, beans cold not even luke warm. I go to Jimboys when I'm craving a bean burrito and taco. This location at Folsom/Sunrise is the best one hands down! They actually grill your bean burrito so it's crispy! If I could give zero stars or negative stars, that would be what I would do. This place has the worst customer service I have ever experienced. we ordered $67 worth of food through DoorDash. There was apparently two people with similar names and even though it may not have been their mistakes for the wrong order being delivered, we not only called them and told them what happened. They said they would remake the food. We drove back to the gym tacos that we were supposed to have the delivery for and they told us that we needed to bring the other food back in order for us to get our food that we paid for, here's the problem with that. I am serve safe certified, and food has left the building. It's not supposed to be returned. It's not that we ate the food, but we were ordering food because we were at work. They made us drive back to our Job pick up the food and then bring it back. Their business is May 25 minutes from where we were at. Not only did the order get messed up, but then they made us go get the food again so this entire excursion took about an hour and a half just that we can get the food that we were supposed to have DoorDash .. I haven't been to Jimboy's in ages. The building is old and the vibe inside isn't anything to be extra excited about. The ceiling was kinda cool where the artwork was done. It wasn't CLEAN clean, but it wasn't scary lol. The service was really quick even with the people who came in around the same time as me. The cashier was nice and friendly too. They called off the numbers fast enough for me to take pictures, have a small conversation with one of the other customers, and then I was on my way. The food was exactly how I remembered it to be. Patented grease (y'all know what I'm talkin about), beefy, cheesy, and tasty! The churros were good as well, so I'm glad it was a good visit after being away for so long. I can't eat it every day, but it was well worth it today. I'll be back sometime down the road read more

The guy talked really fast and ended my order just to assume I was done because I asked for sauce with the same order. When I told him I wasn't done he proceeded to say "oh I thought because you ordered sauce" but didn't apologize.When I pulled up to the window which seemed creepy because it was covered in paper with no way to see in I got my meal.The tacos were cold and less meat and the fries seemed mushy and had no seasoning and were also cold. It was my first time here and I thought everything was good. We ordered the enchiladas combo plate and 2 tacos. They have plenty of parking and seating. They serve beer and had self service salsa. They had a few small arcade and claw games. The food took a little while to come out, but they were pretty busy with the drive through. Tacos: good, I liked the ground beef. I wish the taco shell was more crispy and there was more cheese, but that's just personal preference. Enchilada combo plate: good enough. I got the cheese enchiladas. It came with rice, refried beans, and a salad. The salad wasn't the freshest. The refried beans were good, but a little dry, maybe because it was towards the end of the day and close to closing. read more

The lobby was closed and there was three employees just standing there and said you have to go to the drive-thru. I told them I'm in the drive-thru and two cars are in front of me and I've been sitting there for 20 minutes. Why are three employees just hanging out with what looked like their family while people are hanging in the drive thru for an extremely long time. The poor guy behind us was a door dash order and actually went to the drive thru window and had to wait for the guy to come to the window and ask for the order. This location is an old classic with friendly ladies working there and giving those extra touches that make it good. I avoid the deal days because I think the food suffers. Otherwise I love the tacos with the Parmesan cheese and the bean burrito that is grilled is so good. Quick little roadside bite. The service was fast and my order was correct. Jimboys tacos has the best fast food burrito out of all the popular mexican-style chains. This Jimboy's has a slightly different menu from others that I've been to, but offers a special burrito menu with additional toppings included. The service takes a little longer than what you'd expect at a normal drive thru because it seems like they prepare each meal fresh. The food feels freshly prepared, received warm or hot straight from the over/microwave. Expect to wait a bit in the line if your going drive thru, but the food is worth it. Grease-laden parm sprinkled lettuce and ground beef filled shells with American cheese. You might be dangerous and try some of these "carnitas" things but remind yourself that this is Jimboy's. Parm. I've been here many times over the years since I work in the area, but after my last visit I think I may be done. I love Jimboy's but the food in this location has really fallen off. The classic ground beef tacos - the backbone of the chain - were limp and flavorless, with minimal cheese on the shell. It was the most unsatisfying meal I've ever had at any Jimboy's. In addition, the nonstop playing of christian pop music is incredibly off-putting. The service was fine though. I have no complaints about the folks who served us. read more

My favorite is the ground beef taquitos, crinkle cut fries are the best and the bean tacos! my boys love the enchiladas, tacos and green salsa!!! Waited in the drive thru for 10-13 minutes for my steak tacos, they are really good!! Got home and found fish tacos in my bag. The tortillias were fried (yuk) and the fish was just ok. Fast Food and Mexican Food should really never be in the same sentence, but it's allowed for Jimboy's. By far, this is the best fast food Mexican food I've had. It's like Taco Bell but on steroids. They're original tacos are amazing and what they're known for! Plus they're worth the $2.50 cost. Horrible customer service. Will never return to this location again. We had documentation that we placed an order via the app, had confirmation emails, had that it was pending on our credit card....yet...that wasn't enough to make our food. They refused to make our food, and provided no solutions. I am not understanding why if we have confirmation...why they would refuse to make something that we paid for? Why our confirmations were not enough? This is poor customer service. Another customer came in with the SAME problem and they refused service to them as well. The manager said "Manager confirmed no record of order" No one has enough time in their lives to make fake emails and fake confirmations for Jimboy's tacos. Obviously something was wrong with the system and that is not our fault. They should have made our order and contacted IT. read more

Paid $33.01 for 2 combo plates and plain taquitos tonight. Got all the way home and there was only 1 combo plate and taquitos. Too late to go back. I guess only one of us gets a combo tonight. Wish I could give this Jimboys zero stars.. Just like Kevin who reviewed this place 10 days ago, I had the worse experience I've ever had at a Jimboys.. I ordered for my kids and waited over 20 minutes inside for my food to arrive .. I watched the cooks microwave my food and the cashier went to help, He removed his blue gloves and then proceeded to add produce to my tacos.. Really you are gonna prepare people's food with your dirty hands.. I was going to cancel my order and wish I had.. When I got home the food was cold, the order had incorrect items and was missing several items.. To make it worse when I called the store and tried to explain to the drive thru cashier, he hung up on me.. I called back and thankfully someone else answered.. This person told me I could have a refund if I bring the food back.. Thankfully something good came out of my experience.. People do yourself a favor do not go to this Jimboys.. WOW, surprised at how tasty the tacos are. Had tacos one day and a burrito the next everything was delicious. We'll worth the wait.

In terms of Jimboy's, this is our favorite and go-to location lately closer to the 50 in the Folsom area. Owners - please do not change a thing!! The beef tacos are so full of meat and exactly what we expect of a Jimboy's taco. Even the beef burritos are grilled on the outside, which other locations don't do, and again, full of meat. There's no skimping of ingredients here which is awesome. I've done orders via the app and drive thru and no issues. I even ordered via app 45 mins in advance and the food was nice and warm when we picked up at the specified time - perfect. We used to go to the Cameron Park and Folsom E. Bidwell locations but both have decreased taco size and quality so we are only going to this one from now on even though it's farther. read more
