This Jimmy John's in Ann Arbor is part of the cool little college area where all the kids get their food. It's definitely much better than Subway as far as food goes but still not particularly great and I'm not a fan of chains nor the products they offer. read more

Jimmy John is very wise where they place their restaurant. Personally it is perfectly placed to my routinely schedule. I realized there are a lot of Jimmy John's in Ann Arbor. I have one near my apartment, my classes, and near my small group meetings. I think that is so funny because I always get the turkey tom when I am in a hurry or when I don't pack for lunch/dinner. I kind of find it funny on how fast they make their sandwich the commercials are true! Also they have the meal combo with chips or cookies. So I'm not from around here (just moved from California) but a few of my east coast friends said I definitely needed to try a Jimmy John sandwich, so I did. First things first, I went on Customer Free Sub Appreciation Day, ($1 subs woooo). The line was longish but it moved so fast it didn't matter. I got a vito, no tomato, add cucumber. Overall, it was a decent sandwich. Terrific? By all means no. But it was a good sandwich, tasted more real than a subway, but I wish they piled more toppings on there (maybe next time I'll ask?) the price on normal days doesn't seem too bad, but I'm just not thrilled. But I will go again. Oh did I mention they are freaky fast? They made my sandwich in like a minute. o.O I'll go again, but not because I'm craving, but because I'm a hungry college student. read more

My go to jimmy johns in Ann Arbor. Located near all the major housing complexes on south university and right across from the bars. Super convenient location. Speed here is incredible. One of the employees whose always there recites the order and whips it up so fast. They offer the multi grain bread here and usually have a decent selection of day old bread. I believe they're open until 2am so you can grab a late night snack if needed. The store is not huge, there's barely any seating. Most people do not sit down here anyways but that's important to acknowledge. They also have a online order spot located by the door so if you ordered food you can walk in and grab it and walk out super easily. By far my favorite sub is the #12 after one of the employees recommended it since they doubled the amount of turkey on the sandwich. I get it with light mayo and it only sets me back $6 and some change. read more

They can not seem to get my order right. I went here two times this week, both times ordering a #9 with cucumbers, pickles, hot peppers, and no onions. The first time they forgot to wrap it up in lettuce instead of bread since I asked for the unwich and did not get any hot peppers. The second time they put in onions when I specifically asked them not to. The end of the sandwich always tastes gross because the bread turns soggy from all the dressing. read more

They say you never know what you had, until it's gone. I had the pleasure of living behind this great sandwich shop for a year. All the other years, I was within the delivery service of the Jimmy Johns on East Ann. I was never far from my beloved perfectly baked bread while being a student at the University of Michigan, and now that I have graduated and moved to New York, I never knew how good i had it. You'd think that being in the food mecca of the United States of America (yes, I can boast that), I would have moved on and found some other sandwich shop to replace the hole in my stomach, but nothing is quite so satisfying as my full complete order at JJ's. Perhaps it's the nostalgia, or the funky signs I read every time while I'm waiting for my sandwich that takes about 1 minute to make. Perhaps it is the consistency of the quality of the sandwiches, or the cheery JJ employees who force a happy face even when I stroll in around 2:50 am when they close at 3. My Favorites (usually what I get in one order) #4 - Turkey Tom + cucumbers #5 - Vito + alfalfa sprouts, as an unwich. This is a surprisingly refreshing sandwich and great for a light meal if you don't want to induce too much food coma while studying at the UGLI. Salt and Vinegar Chips provide just enough tangy saltyness to accompany my sandwiches, and all that topped off with a nice SPRITE. I'm not a huge soda drinker, but I always get a sprite from here. Some days when I'm feeling out of the norm, I will grab a #3 tuna sandwich, and add sriracha. Dare I say it, but I've crossed the border over to the dirty jersey just to grab a sandwich from the JJ's located at Rutgers. THAT is how much I love my JJs. read more

Horrible customer service. Were extremely rude. I complained that the bread was hard, they touched my sandwich and refused that its true. Even if they didn't think so, they bloody touched my sandwich without gloves, they should have made me a new one (at least for courtesy sake!) Instead, they were snooty and rude towards me.
