Actually service was good. It 330pm and I am trapped in my parking spot for more than 7 minutes. I tell the truck driver and he says "five more minutes." We all know their sandwiches are tasty, but this particular store is the WORST. We have had bad experiences with them before, but we decided to try again tonight. We placed an order for 3 delivery sandwiches around 5:30 this afternoon. At 6:45 we called to see where the order was; I was informed that they void delivery orders because they don't have a driver. I get the staff issues, but it would have been nice if someone let us know that they weren't in a position to fulfill orders. read more

I first visited this location during a promotion where all the Metro Detroit Jimmy John's were selling subs for $1 from 11am until 3 pm. For $1, who wouldn't stop? Normally, you would need a good hour worth of wait time for an event like this. I was amazed how organized they were and how quickly we were moved through the entire process, under 10 minutes. The employees were energetic and well prepared. The $1 gimmick worked for me. We've been back two times since then. Little known Jimmy John's secret? Very nice sandwiches here. They seem to have shrunk over the years, but the price is still pretty good, and they are fast and fresh. Just think that in order to fill up I'd need 2. I tried introducing some friends to JJ's, and they were disapointed that the subs were so small. read more

This is the only jimmy johns I go to for two reasons: 1. The one younger guy is really nice and is always there 2. They always make my sandwich properly, extra mayo, no tomato, LBI. You'd be surprised how many others places can't even get a simple order right. This location I've had no problems with in doing so, so that's always cool when you do get what you ordered. They even asked me if I wanted a little more mayo since I eat inside then go to the gym after. Only complaint is with the franchise itself, being that your paying over $6 for a sandwich (like a #4) and it hardly comes with anything. No chips, no pickle, no cheese on it (why is it THAT hard to just give your customer cheese without being greedy?? Corporate places SUCK for these reasons!!) you basically pay for any mods you want that should already be included. Oh, and being in the environmental field, I hate the owner Jimmy because he's allowed to poach endangered species like sharks and black rhinos/elephants. I hate that man as a person, but it's the only sandwich place I'll eat at so I keep going even though I wish I boycotted the place in general for that reason. Love the food, always get the same thing, #14, love the roast beef. Stopped today on the way home from work and could not wait to get home, change my clothes and eat...first bite was missing something...what? No roast beef? Being hungry I ate it all the time missing the RB! My wife said call, I called and realized I had no receipt, got cut off on the phone, wife said call them back...hey I don't want to be that guy! But I called and was told by the nice person that I had to bring the original sandwich back...really? I was hungry so I ate it...see I'm the guy who never complains...no satisfaction so I thanked her and just called to let her know. I waited an hour for my sandwich, the manager was cool about it and comped my order. Well the following week when we called in our comped order they were an hour and ten minutes late and they used day old bread that almost broke my teeth biting in to. Absolute worst service of any JJ. Over 1 hour and not out for delivery, Store Manager was rude/felt he wanted us to cancel our order vs. making sure it was delivered. Stated was 'franchise' but my guess is, he was the owner as he certainly did not care about the delivery time or fact was over an hour. If you are Corporation in the area, I would NEVER order from this company again. We will not. 6 people about $80, they did not care... Horrible and poor reflection on company. 06/19/2011: After a long drive across town from a Father's day gathering, I found myself craving a Beach Club Sandwich from Jimmy Johns. Knowing that they close at 9:00pm, I made sure that I chose the right location to make it in time before they lock the doors. THANKFULLY (or so I thought...), I arrived and quickly entered the 3976 Baldwin Rd location at 8:54pm with a smile on my face and ready to eat a quality sandwich. Instead of being greeted nicely; I was suddenly yelled at by one of the young and disrespectful employees: "Hey...we're closed in here!!!" Knowing that it was well before 9pm, the door was unlocked and ALL the lights (interior and exterior) were on; I asked both of the rude employees: "It's before 9pm and your doors are open, you're telling me you are closed?!" Both employees simultaneously & aggressively stated: "YES, WE ARE CLOSED!" Knowing that I no longer want these irresponsible & careless employees making my sandwich, I decided to leave (and never come back) and said to them on my way out: "next time you guys say your closed, make sure that you remember lock up so your customers don't think you are open". The second employee yells at me on my way out: "WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY TO ME?!!" like he was trying to pick a fight as if we were in the ghetto. I then repeated myself to him, just in case my judgment was wrong and he was hard of hearing on top of having a hard head. After getting back in my car (parked directly in front of the front entrance), the first employee slams the door shut and locks it in front of my eyes while he violently shakes the doors almost breaking the hinge in order to sarcastically show me that he has finally done his job and lock the doors. So I live across the street from this Jimmy John's. We ordered a couple subs on a super snowy night. On the phone, we were told it might take a little longer than usual, due to the snow. We understood and said okay. An hour and half later, we are wondering where the subs were... We called the store the inquire and the delivery guy answered the phone and told us "well, I was there and you never answered your door." (Which is false because no one ever came to our door) and I am not disappointed because they "went to the wrong door" but that the delivery guy wouldn't call us and make an effort to do his one single job- deliver the food.
