This review is for delivery. as i have not had any problems with take out or dine in. i decided to try delivery for the first time for lunch because i was feeling lazy. i work literally across the empire bridge. a 3 min drive. i waited an hour for my sandwich! freaky slow. i will say there is some roadwork happening right now. so lets bump the should be drive time to 15-20 min. that's still nowhere near an hour. and to top it off i meet the driver at his car and i was met with "do you have a pen? i forgot mine." when i replied no it turned into a well i don't know what to do situation but you're not getting your sandwich kind of moment. so i walked my hungry butt back inside to find a pen so i could get my long awaited meal. long story short. Okay - we are a business 1/2 mile down street from them and will not use them again. They marked our sandwich as being out for delivery 13 minutes after getting our order - 57 minutes later we call - they say 'we are busy'. We get it - 20 minutes after that - but 77 minutes to go 1/2 mile? I saw another Yelper say the parking lot was a nightmare. It is. It really, really is. So much so, I'm laughing as I type this, remembering the last parking lot experience - "whew!" - close call! You know what else makes me laugh? I had NO IDEA their slogan was "freaky fast" and when I ordered & paid... my unwich was out so fast I said "Holy crap! But there have been more. I've only been to this location. I've been here several times - walk-in & drive-through. The shop has always been spotless. The employees have always been friendly. We love Jimmy John's, but we were incredibly disappointed with this location. The parking is lousy and the music inside is ridiculously loud. When we asked them to turn it down because the bass was way too much, they just barely brought it down. Then, one of the songs actually had the "F" word. REALLY?!?!?! Isn't this supposed to be a family friendly restaurant??? I had a question for one of the staff and I was initially ignored. One of the staff members looked me straight in the eye and then looked away and kept talking to another staff member. When we went out to the parking lot to leave one of the delivery trucks came ripping around the corner and almost hit one of my kids. I'm trying really hard to like this place cause it's so close to my work. The workers are super cool, the food is bomb, and the customer service is exemplary. So why only 4 stars instead of 5? Lemme break it down for you.. The workers will not put mustard on your sandwich. It's a sandwich shop which, to me, means I pay money for you to make my sandwich. Okay, they won't put mustard on your sandwich so what? If I wanted to spread condiments on my own sandwich I would have stayed home. They don't even have a plastic knife to assist you in spreading the mustard packets. So what am I left with? The watery mustard juices on the first bite of my sandwich and then uneven amounts in each bite henceforth. Like I said, I love Jimmy John's. But the mustard thing needs to change. Waited in the drive through for 25 minutes. Get back to my office to eat my lunch and they gave me the wrong sandwich - something covered in onions and jalapenos, neither of which I can eat. With nothing else to each for lunch I head back over and walk-in (now using up all of my lunch hour). Lead worker seems not surprised at all that the wrong sandwich was given and says they are short staffed. They make me a new one and refund my $. Ordered from them again tonight, and what a surprise my sandwich is wrong again. Call back to have them remake it, and they gladly did so. However, the second drive was a bit rude. I open the door, no hello, no apology, and in a very annoyed tone asked for the previous sandwich that was incorrect. I repeat my order twice as I order and he repeated it twice back. After the delivery guy comes and drops it off I went to open the bag to a cold roast beef sandwich. First of all the bread is so hard/stale you can knock on it and it sounds like wood, the employees are loud and obnoxious and they focus on making the sandwiches so fast they practically throw the ingredients on the wooden bread. Next WHO DO THEH THINK THEY ARE they do not serve pickles on their sandwiches!!! I asked for pickles once and I was handed a whole pickle in a bag. Another too loud concept restaurant. Food is fine and comes out fast. Price is fair. Service sometimes friendly, sometimes curt. But this is another example of someone, probably at a corporate level, thinking we should "eat to the beat" with blaring pop music (another is Five Guy's Burgers). Their focus groups and studies probably show that it works for this generation, stuffing their faces with heads down glued to their smartphones. But if you are 'old school' and would like to sit across from someone and actually have a conversation over lunch, best to find some place else. Or prepare for a shouting match. read more

We love Jimmy Johns and frequent the Old Mill location. We have tried this location twice now and have had horrid experiences both times. First of all not the restaurant fault but getting in and out of this location is not an easy feat. So when we pulled up to the order board in the drive thru both times the person taking the order seemed extremely annoyed and put out that we were even there. We placed an order for 4 subs and 4 bags of chips, halfway through the order he told me he would have my total at the window and to pull around. I told him I wasn't done and I heard a sigh through the speaker. This was apparently too much for them to handle. I got to the window, he opened it up snatched my credit card and handed me my bag and gave me my card back. We looked in the bag only to find out we were missing a sandwich. I waited at the window for 6 minutes until I had to honk to get their attention. When he opened the window he said "what"? I told him there was a sub missing. He asked what was missing. I told him and he started arguing with me that I never ordered a 4th. He had them make me up the sandwich than told me it would be an additional 7.00! Honestly if you are going to be unprofessional and rude at least say sorry this one is on us since we screwed up and made me wait. The staff is completely unprofessional and rude. Food is good as always but don't choose a credit card when ordering delivery. Every time I prepay with card, they can see the 22% tip I always give. And they take over 20 minutes to deliver. However selecting cash when choosing delivery, prompts them to deliver in 10-12 minutes. I live 900 yards from this location so delivery times based on my distance from them. read more
