The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. When we mentioned that we eat only Halal and were here specifically for the Tuna sandwich, they were genuinely curious and asked what Halal means. We appreciated that openness, and explained that Halal not only refers to the type of food but also how the animal is treated -- it should be raised naturally and slaughtered humanely, with care and respect. It was a great experience all around -- the sandwich was fresh and tasty, and the team made us feel heard and respected. It's small gestures like this that build bridges between communities. If I could give this restaurant a zero I would! Absolutely and honestly the worst experience I've ever had with Customer service! I received an email coupon that day on my rewards account stating that I had earned a free sandwich. There were no specifications, it just said that you could redeem the coupon at any Jimmy John's. Of course I was going to use the one closest to home and have it delivered. I filled out the information with the online app that I had used before, and when it got to the part for payment, it asked for a promo code. I looked and looked and looked on the coupon and saw no promo code. I then decided to call The store.A girl answered the phone and started out rudely with me. I explained to her the situation but all I was looking for was the promo code so that I could enter it on the app and have the sandwich delivered. She argued with me and told me that if I could not find the promo code there probably wasn't one in the coupon was fake! I explained to her that I've received multiple coupons in the past from them because we always use Jimmy John's on the weekends, I have never had a problem with it in the past. Again she was extremely rude with me telling me that I did not know what I was talking about. I asked to speak with her manager so that we can get this rectified, and she told me that she was the supervisor! I asked her if she had a problem in the store what did she do or who to contact if she did? She said she would contact her manager but that he does not work on the weekends and he's very difficult to get a hold of. Again I explained the situation back to her again and told her please contact her manager and ask him what to do to rectify the situation. She was rude nasty screaming at me and told me fine!!! Calmly I told her that I expected a phone call back and asked her for her name. She slammed the phone down on me! About 10 minutes she did call back, and told me that the manager said that if there was no promo code on the coupon, there was nothing they could do about it! She then became completely irate screaming at me and told me to call the corporate office in Chicago Illinois. I asked her if they would be open On the weekends especially after 6 o'clock which is what time it was, and she told me of course they're not! So again I ask her what are we going to be rectified this? She said that she did not care and slammed the phone down on me again! At this point I was extremely upset and mad! I called the Jimmy John's phone number again and it rang approximately 12 times before a man Fianly answer the phone. I would like to speak to his supervisor.He had no idea who I was, because I had not said anything to him yet. He responded with "my manager doesn't wanna talk to you !"! I demanded to speak with his manager immediately! She got on the phone, and I asked her what her name was. She said it was none of my business! I told her it absolutely was because I was the customer.She then responded to me that her name was India, which I repeated back to her twice! She said yes India and screamed it! I have no idea whether this was really her name or not! I then told her if she was not going to rectify the situation I would be contacting the BBB, and I will contact the franchise owner, as well as putting a bad review on yelp! She responded that she did not care and then I should do whatever I wanna do! At this point I realize there was nothing I could do that evening. And I contacted corporate Monday morning first thing! After calling four times once every hour and leaving messages, I finally got someone to answer the phone at corporate. Her name is Christine Rogers and she started out being very nice. She requested that I take a picture of the coupon and send it to her so she can see it, as well as email her of the actual coupon which I did both! She told me that she would have the franchise owners call me within 24 hours to rectify the situation, and she guaranteed it. It has not been over 24 hours and I have not received anything from corporate or franchise owners. I have also not heard anything from the manager of the Fairview Avenue store, or from the supposed manager India apologizing for the treatment and the things she said to me. Because I have not been contacted by the franchise owners to rectify the situation, I am writing this yelp review about the restaurant and the customer service, as well as I will be contacting the BBB tomorrow. Stay far far away from this restaurant! It is horrible to be treated like this and I am absolutely appalled that I received a "fake" coupon from them! Horrible customer service !! Just came through the drive through the man working couldn't understand me. I had to say the order 3 times. Once at the window I said "thank you" when he handed me my order...He didn't even acknowledge me. Also the sandwich came with no napkins! My family usually comes here once a week, but after today's experience I don't think we will be back. *Edited to add, other experiences have been good which is why we come back. Came here on a weeknight for a quick dinner and to check out their catering menu. I ordered the tuna off their club menu. The tuna salad is made fresh in house as is their bread (they tout sandwiches served on bread that is at most four hours old--not bad). Overall, the sandwich was fine--nothing spectacular, but a solid basic sandwich served with fresh ingredients. Where this location of Jimmy John's separates themselves from the chain sandwich herd, is their service. They are always friendly, eager to please, and happy to help with any menu questions. The second you order your sandwich, a worker begins preparing it while you complete payment with the cashier. This makes for perfect timing, so that once you've completed paying and getting your drink--your sandwich is ready! Their catering menu is reasonably priced. I was able to get 2 platters (one 30 piece and one 15 piece) for less than $100. I ordered it two days ahead of time, arranging to have it delivered. I was apprehensive that it would be delivered on time--but the delivery person arrived 2 minutes prior to the scheduled time and the order was perfectly prepared! The food is great, love the sandwiches. But freaky fast is not what I would say about them. Last week it was 46 minutes for delivery. I called to check on my order, they said the driver had another delivery down the street.. it was another 9 minutes before delivery and they didn't follow the no contact request. Today was 24 minutes for delivery. I am less than a mile from there restaurant. If there is a delay due to Covid-19, put it on the website. I left a 2 star because normally this location is stellar and my family comes here often. I want to leave a 1*. The Customer Service killed their 5* rating today. I am allergic to gluten so I can't eat bread. Eating 3-5 little croutons in a salad won't hurt me much, but a whole sandwich will put me in agony for hours and cause a rash lasting days. Day prior, I ordered an unwiched sandwich and a few add ins through the drive thru and they repeated it back to correctly, though the price was off than it usually is for my unwiched sandwich. I verified with the guy at the window it was unwiched and he said yes. Received my sandwich and drove on to our friend place. Sat down to eat and my sandwich was in bread. yay. Also didn't add the extra add ins. Thanks. I ended up giving it to my friend to eat and I went without. The next day- today- I went back, drive thru, and explained what happened at the window. The manager was not very friendly, and treated me like I was a nuisance. I gave my phone number for rewards and somehow they couldn't find me- which is very strange since we use rewards often. They did give me my sandwich, unwiched, for free, but not the way I had originally asked for and no apology or any kind of customer service. I work customer service too and know it can be very annoying and frustrating- but when you f-up you own it and fix it, correctly. I'm going somewhere else. I got there a couple minutes after 1 and they hadn't even started making my order yet. I enjoy a good sub, and I expected Jimmy Johns to be superb with so many locations and so many people talking about the franchise. I do admit I enjoyed the pickles and are the best for sure, but that is where the good ends and the bad begins. The staff are friendly, but not upbeat and not focused on the customer. A couple of the guys seemed depressed and didn't want to be there. The sandwich itself was average, just a notch above Subway. I don't think the product is anything to crow about or something to drive across town to get. If you're desperate for a sub then this is the place, but there are so many sub joints in Boise that this is mediocre at best. read more

These are some darn good sandwiches! Good enough that the sandwiches themselves earn 5 stars. Ingredients are fresh, and they're made lightning-fast! This location, however, has fallen down on service several times. Some examples: 1) We called in a delivery order and said we'd be paying by credit card. When they arrived to deliver the sandwiches, they said the card number needed to be given on the phone. It can't be processed in person. The clerk taking the order obviously dropped the ball on that one. 2) I ordered a sandwich at the drive-through and, as instructed, pulled up to the window. I sat at the window forever. A clerk finally came to the window and said "Did you order a sandwich?" The ensuing question-and-answer period was ridiculous. Keep track of orders, please. I was the only one in the drive-through for goodness sake! I'll certainly continue to eat here because I spend a lot of time nearby and, as noted above, the sandwiches rock. read more

Oh man. An hour delivery time for an address that's a mile and half away? Crazy. I'm actually fine with the delay for delivery. What I'm not fine with is the BS excuse for the delay. Jimmy John's - freaky fast, right? Wrong. I place my order through their app like I have a thousand times before. I get my confirmation email and notification from the app. 12:12pm. 8 inch Turkey Tom, large Coke. Simple enough. This location is 1.5 miles from my address - I checked on Google. A six minute total drive. I begin my wait. 20 minutes goes by. Nothing. 30 minutes goes by. Nothing. 40 minutes go by, and I call the store - first I'm asked my address to check the status of my order, which I provide. After I give my address and he finds my order, I'm THEN told "a bunch of drivers didn't show up today" so there's a delay. I find that hard to believe. Sure, it's entirely plausible that drivers are missing, but if that's the reason, he would have lead with that information when I called to find out where my order was. Not after he checked my address. He tells me my order just left the store, and it will be there in less than 7 minutes. Fine. 20 minutes later, standing in front of my place of business, Jimmy Johns drives by to deliver someone else's order. Nope. Not okay. We're now an hour deep into this "freaky fast" delivery, and that's my line. Called and canceled the order, got my refund, and decided to move on with my day. A personal call from the manager, who took a fair amount of time to apologize to me AND Tell me in what ways they would counsel their employee for future customer dissatisfaction conversations. I was very impressed with him, he made it right for me, and since the sandwich was one of the best JJ's I've visited I've improved my rating stars But kept the original story Not the end of the world - this was a $14 order for 2 people to split. Delivery. Jimmy Johns is Jimmy Johns. Never been impressed by the service, or the rigid lack of selection - but their bread is like crack so we still go. Don't expect too much - but today -- We asked for mayo/mustard packets - not only did we check the box but we listed it under special instructions. It was shown on the receipt - but we did not receive. Just pretty disappointing - it's totally part of our experience. But mostly my dissatisfaction the employee on the phone when I called, 2 minutes after driver left the building. Asked if the driver had some with her she could run back real quick. She didn't. But it was the phone comvo that got me - she was super nonchalant, not even an apology -told me one of her drivers could come back, told me how many deliveries they had and made it clear it was an inconvenience and would be like 45 minutes-ish based on her description. I understand lunch is a busy time but attitude is important in this biz. Sandwich was still good, my first time trying pickles - HUGE - ps. pickle. I was told they are the best ever. And they're pretty amazing - Super big, very crisp - great texture but VERY garlic-y, so be prepared. Some other spice on the back I can't quite grab it, didn't really care for it. Back when the Jimmy Johns on Fairview opened, I placed my order online and though the delivery was ultra fast, they messed up both of the sandwiches I ordered by ignoring the additions and subtraction I made, even though I was charged extra for them. Well, it has been a few years since then and I thought I would give them another shot today, hoping they improved. I was wrong! The toughest thing I requested they change today was "No lettuce ". I cannot understand how they could get that request correct on one sandwich but not the other. And I've verified my order by reviewing the email I got when I ordered. I got home and the order was wrong so I called and they said they would deliver new sandwiches. 40 minutes later and no sandwich, my boyfriend called and while we explained the situation the manager laughed and said they had forgotten.
