Vito no tomato extra oil and vinegar, bbq chips
Marie R.

This is by far the best Jimmy Johns location in the area. They are always very friendly, the store is clean and the sandwiches are made well. I had the Vito tonight with bbq chips and was very satisfied. The guys working behind the counter were really cool and seemed to enjoying being at work. This location is also open until 3 am so if you're hungry late night this is a great spot.

#14 turkey and roast beef

1. The bread tasted better than Subway and was fresher than Jersey Mike's. 2. I liked the simplicity of the menu even though I prefer a variety of toppings. 3. The only thing preventing this from getting 5 stars is that I asked for my O&V on the side (I hate a soggy sandwich) and was told that 'they usually don't do this' no country for picky eaters lol. I will return if I'm ever in the mood for a good, fast, fresh turkey sandwich.

Very fast, friendly, and yummy. I'd recommend eating here if you're near UNCG and want a good sandwich.

Some of the rudest delivery drivers I've ever seen. Rude drivers as well as rude personalities.

Started with the appetizer special which was a sampler of apps, and our server was nice enough to sub in some pretzel bites for us. All of the apps were good though, hot and fresh and even more importantly, tasty. We got the mozzarella sticks, pretzel bites, and bangin shrimp. For the main dish I got the spicy smash burger and added bacon. The burger was pretty tasty, both patties were juicy and overall it was the perfect spice. I will say, the burger patties themselves didn't really seem like smash style patties, they were fairly thicker and seemed to be normal grilled patties. Having two was almost too much burger to bun/topping ratio in my opinion. Fries could have been a little more seasoned and crispy as well, but that's more of a personal preference. Also got the Dark and Stormy cocktail as well. It was a nice and refreshing drink to get the meal started, two rums with lime juice, vanilla, and soda water. Overall, the meal was pretty good, and would still come back again!

They arrived and were coned nicely and had a great taste. (Still no silverware or napkins) we asked for napkins of course at this point because our hands are sticky. Food came. Burger was missing lettuce (easy fix) he said his steak was cooked PERFECTLY (still no silverware) I requested more mayo and more dressing (still no silverware) we realized there wasn't any silverware when he wanted to cut into the steak. So we had to request silverware. Back to the steak.... Cooked PERFECTLY..... zero seasoning. Added a little salt and requested steak sauce and the steak was demolished. My wales saw my water getting low and said she was coming with more water. I finished my water she came by and asked if we needed anything.... Water please. With a few adjustments to the obvious (having silverware at the table when seating customers, and keeping a real eye out for drinks) this place might be alright. The servers were pleasant and the place wasn't crowded at all. A total of 4 other parties were in and out during our visit.

There is both indoor and outdoor seating (although space is definitely limited) & a small bar with bar stools. There are a few TVs that always have sports --- right up my alley! I love coming here on Saturdays during cold weather for Chicken 'n Dumplings. Their weekend mimosas are a great deal (it might just be Sundays, but I think it's Saturdays, too). Their sweet tea is always on point. They have delicious sandwiches and the side salad with homemade honey mustard dressing is my favorite side!! The tater tots are good. Pasta salad isn't super flavorful but, still good, especially if you're entree needs a side that takes a back seat. You really can't go wrong. Parking is limited so you might have to find street parking and walk a bit. I hear Sunday brunch is amazing! That's next on my list to try.

Today I stopped in for a to go order, but next time I plan on enjoying the patio with my pup Ziggy and try one of their burgers. I ordered the Madison Avenue which is a croissant smeared with honey walnut cream cheese, smoked turkey, and granny smith apples. My side was slaw and I also ordered fries with a side of ranch. Upon walking in the place appeared clean, the customer service, not the best. But maybe someone was having a bad day, I get it. I'm so glad I did check my bag before I left because they did not give me ranch or plasticware, man I would have missed out on some amazing ranch. The young man gave me three ranches which I'm so disappointed I only grabbed one. Unfortunately I didn't get the best pictures but the food tasted great. The fries were thick cut (probably frozen) and let me tell you, I would just come back for the ranch! They have my favorite restaurant ranch. The slaw was really tasty - good ole southern sweet mayonnaise slaw, not too vinegary. The sandwich, not bad, good combo of toppings, they paired well together. I' ll be back. Anyone want to go for a patio lunch? Ciao for now

Today gave me a reason and an understanding as to why.....I went in today and of course it's crowded---it's Sunday. It's after church and it's quite busy, but the service was less than stellar (maybe it's always this way???---I just happen to bypass it by ordering online) and with MS. JESSICA at the helm, I understand why.... Jessica is very abrasive. She is pushy, condescending and her Customer Service requires some much needed attention, especially if she is a manager. Now my food... My food had a distasteful appearance and I'm not even going to eat it. I'm going to have to order food from somewhere else because it looks like nothing I am accustomed to from McAlister's---Huge disappointment as I have been wanting this for DAYS and today was my day. I am HUGE on presentation. The food I received (torn bread, sloppily put together, the salad does not look like what I've received in the past....UGH!!!! I'm giving McAlister's on Highwoods a one star because of the service and the lackadaisical way my order was prepared. My first few orders would have been a five star. I don't know where the disconnect happened today, (it is often stated that "it starts from the top"...ijs) but I'm not pleased AT ALL , and for THAT reason I won't be back in the near future if ever.

Both were very tasty We took advantage of the nice weather and enjoyed lunch on their patio. Overall it was a good visit, I'd recommend and go back.

Craving something Mediterranean, something international and authentic. Shish House popped up on my radar and I stopped in for an early weekday lunch. They have the usual and traditional Mediterranean dishes, but I wanted something different today. Went with some authentic Yemeni food. I ordered the Fahsah Lehm. This is a Saltah (traditional Yemeni stew) with melt in your mouth lamb that came out piping hot and bubbling in a clay bowl (see vid). You can feel, hear, smell and taste the authenticity in this dish. Spices and flavors flowing all over. It comes out with an amazing garlic sauce and a Yemeni style green sauce, almost like a salsa. And if that wasn't enough, you get the biggest clay oven bread (a Yemeni Malawah) you have ever seen. Words don't do it justice, see pics for details. This is honestly the perfect edible shovel. Tear some off, scoop up some bubbling lamb and spices, then drag it through the garlic and green sauce. Get messy...flavor the authenticity this dish explodes with. One of the best international experiences which transports you somewhere else.
