#6. The Veggie
Fionna L.

Fast, inexpensive and convenient - JJ's is great for catering lunch at large events! #6. The Veggie: surprisingly hearty with a good amount of moisture from the mayo and guac (the guac is creatively sandwiched between provolone cheese slices); white bread wasn't not crispy or soggy. Good even after a day in the fridge! I would love it if they could expand their vegetarian and vegan options!

This is a good Jimmy John's location. I stopped in for a quick stack, and the two young men working that morning were extremely friendly and helpful. The facilities in the restaurant are extremely clean, and I was very pleased with my overall visit.

JJ... you completely failed me today! I'm in shock - what's the deal? Let me set the scene... typical Wednesday where I have a 15 minute power lunch to literally inhale my food between meetings. I placed my typical online order and two/three clicks later I was already thinking about the 'yumminess' on its way. Unfortunately, they completely screwed up my order. Yes, I have some particular things I like and definitely don't like. So, my bag shows up - ummmm, where is the Dr. Pepper - so I call down and receive a half-ass 'my bad' excuse... damn it, no time - I need to eat!!! So I break open the bag and there they are... wretched tomatoes on my sandwich - it should be a federal crime to eat tomatoes on a sandwich but I digress!!! Then I pulled the receipt because the sandwich is not cut in 1/2... completely disappointed after having the same order completed to absolute perfection a dozen times. I gave you two stars - because deep down in my heart I know this was the onsite managers failure - total lack of quality assurance... but, hey I did receive my soda 3 minutes before my meeting with NO ICE!!! Who drinks soda with no ice - hmmm, not me!!! I think we need some time apart...

I'm only posting this bc I want this branch to do better. I didn't believe the reviews bc years ago this place tasted great. This is super skimpy paid $15 for it plus a drink almost not edible the bread isn't cooked enough. The first thing I noticed is it wasn't cut in half. Aren't they normally?

This is what extra avocado and bacon looks like.... Rip off!

Another good Jimmy John's but after trying this place twice, I think that place in down town Kirkland is much better.

I got the combo - Hawaiian chicken + karaage requesting extra salad instead of rice, as well as a half order of loco moco. It's nice that there is half order as a lot of Hawaiian restaurants tend to be full orders so it is incredibly hard to try a variety of options if you're solo or in a small group. The Hawaiian chicken and karaage both are juicy and delicious. It's great that the combo is the same price as the standard individual options so I got to try more variety without paying extra. I looked at the reviews and opted to remove the rice and get extra salad which was a good move - their chop chop salad is very delicious with a nice balance of dressing, cheese, and ham. I still had some rice from the loco moco, which was sufficient for me. The loco moco is good - I wished the patty was a bit less tough but the gravy and egg make up for it. Overall, great value and great food. I'd be a regular if I didn't live so far from Kirkland (1 hr drive for food can be challenging in busy schedules)

JACK IN THE BOX @ KIRKLAND…read more Parking is super easy here, there's a lot of space right out front since it's next to a small plaza with other shops and places nearby. They also have a drive-through, which is usually not very busy. On weekends it can get a little more crowded, but even then, you're still able to get your order in pretty quickly. I've had Jack in the Box a few times before, and this time I came in to redeem a free reward using their app. Unfortunately, once I got inside, the staff mentioned that the rewards app doesn't work at this location and is only valid at certain locations, which was kind of a bummer. Just a heads-up, you can't use rewards here. Because of that, I ended up paying full price and ordered a cheeseburger along with their iconic curly fries. The curly fries never disappoint, they're always super seasoned and perfectly crispy, which I love. The place itself was pretty decent ambiance-wise. It's your average fast-food spot: not the cleanest, not the dirtiest, but the staff were friendly. Overall, I've always liked Jack in the Box sandwiches. I wouldn't come here all the time, but when I'm craving it and it's nearby and convenient, this is definitely an easy go-to.

We are required to use the app, which at least it worked, unless another review. We pre-ordered and had no issue with the pickup service. The Jumbo Jack is regularly $6.29. Oh my, it reminds of the basic hamburger that I used to eat from McD as a kid, plus lettuce and tomato. For that same price, I would rather buy 2 basic tacos from a taco truck or look at dollar menu offerings. The rating is 2 stars because it is free. Otherwise, we rather pay higher prices for much better food.

I love Burgermaster, my burger joint of choice these days. I have some feedback for the owner…read morethough. I noticed that most of the ladies who take the order, push for addons/fixin's, while the males listen to the order quietly. For example, my usual order is double baconmaster no lettuce no tomatoes. When I order with a male, he listens, takes the order and I pay, no drama. When a lady takes the order, she usually interrupts me at the "double baconmaster " and asks if I want onions pickles and whatever. So I have to say no, and say "no lettuce no tomatoes". She then asks again to confirm about onions and pickles etc. NOOOOOO I don't want anything more, just listen to what I want!!! Today in particular, this new lady that I never interacted with, did the same thing and made it very difficult and unpleasant. I wish the servers stopped being pushy and learned to just listen. It's probably ok to ask for extras at the end, but let the customer finish the order please. I'll keep my review 5* for now, but it bothers me so much that I might knock it down if this doesn't change, it ruins my experience. Edit 4/25/2026: okay, exactly the day after this review, I went back. A young male server takes the order, today I ordered my usual, but I did not say no lettuce no tomatoes (want the full experience today). He takes the order, smiles and asks "no no lettuce and tomatoes today?". I mean, this is service, he made me feel good and the whole interaction was pleasant and respectful. He didn't ask for anything else. Awesome service.

Shake Shack is your premium fast food chain that serves burgers (meat and plant-based), fries, and…read moreof course, milkshakes. I've visited other Shake Shacks before, but this was my first time visiting their Kirkland location. The Kirkland location is pretty big and has a good amount of indoor seating and outdoor patio seating. It's located across from QFC and the kiddie fountains, and so you can enjoy your burger while watching your kids (or dogs) play in the water in the summer. My family ordered: - VEGGIE SHACK ($9.99 for a single patty, $12.99 for a double patty) - Veggie burger packed with mushrooms, sweet potatoes, carrots, farro, and quinoa, and topped with American cheese, crispy onions, pickles and ShackSauce. This is not your typical Impossible burger or black bean burger, although it has more the texture of the latter. The patty exterior is crispy and the interior is soft and mushy, which complements the crunchy pickles well. It's a little on the sweeter side because of the sweet potato and carrots, but overall a satisfying veggie burger. If it weren't for the fries and shake, I'd probably get a double patty as one patty wasn't satiating enough for lunch. - 'SHROOM BURGER ($9.99) - Crisp-fried portobello mushroom filled with melted muenster and cheddar cheeses, topped with lettuce, tomato, and ShackSauce on a toasted potato bun. This was another unique vegetarian burger as I've never had a mushroom substituted for a patty before, much less, a fried mushroom stuffed with cheese. If you like mozzarella sticks, this is the burger for you! - CHEESEBURGER ($7.99 for a single patty, $10.99 for a double patty, $13.99 for a triple patty) - A made-to-order quarter pound per patty of 100% Angus beef with American cheese, and your choice of toppings on a toasted potato bun. We were a little disappointed by this burger as it doesn't come with topping by default and so it was a pretty plain burger. Apparently you have to ask for the toppings when ordering at the register (which we didn't know) or order via kiosk or online. - FRIES ($4) - enough talk about the burgers, these crinkle cut fries might have been the BEST FRIES we've ever had. They were burning hot right out of the fryer, super crispy on the outside, and soft on the inside. They had just the right amount of salt and had a good body to them to, where even the longest strands didn't break. We loved these so much, that we ended up ordering an extra basket after we finished off the first. - VANILLA SHAKE ($6) - House-made vanilla frozen custard with real vanilla. I prefer my shakes on the thicker side, but this didn't quite meet the mark as it was more liquidy than I would've liked (perhaps because it's custard-based). While it supposedly contains real vanilla, there aren't any vanilla bean flecks and so it most likely just uses vanilla extract. It was cold and refreshing, but can't say I'd go out of my way for it. - COFFEE SHAKE ($6) - Dark roast coffee hand-spun with our house-made vanilla frozen custard. The coffee taste was kind of flat and tasted more like a Frappuccino. The lid also wasn't screwed on properly (or had extra liquid that got stuck underneath the lid) and so it spilled everywhere. Service was great and we got our food within 10 minutes after ordering. They bring the food to your table and you bus yourself. The outdoor tables were relatively clean. Overall: 4/5 for food, 4/5 for service, 4/5 for atmosphere
