The chicken here is very flavorful you can smell it the second it hits your table. Service was good and refills were free. Both meals added up to around $30 and it was worth it considering how much chicken they gave us, they even gave us an extra tender! We tried the mild, and wild zing flavors and they tasted great, the tenders were a little tough but still had great flavor and size. I would recommed trying hangry joes if you're nearby

Seattle is in such a shortage of hot chicken and unfortunately, Hangry Joe's is just mid. Swung by at 6PM on a Tuesday and there were plenty of tables left. Hangry Joe's shares a lot and parking was easy to find. You order at the register or tablets before seating yourself and bussing your own table. A combo with sandwich and fries comes out to be about 20 dollars and the portion size is pretty solid. Chicken Sando (3.5/5): The chicken is super generous, which was great! Unfortunately, found the ratio of the sandwich to be off. A bit too much bread and the chicken was overcooked. Crust wasn't anything to write home about, but pickles were good. Cheese Fries (4/5): The waffle fries were fresh and crispy, but the cheese fries are actually a dusting of Korean style, slightly sweet cheese powder, which was a bit unexpected. The hangry sauce just needed to be amped up on all fronts, more tang! It wasn't bad, but just made me sad there isn't Cane's around here.

Been wanting to try this place, and decided to place an order for delivery to my work building. I ordered the Chicken Sando, and had to try it at the Angry Hot spice level. I enjoyed the chicken sandwich. The meat was flavorful and juicy, and the bun was soft. Angry Hot was actually spicy, but a good spicy, an enjoyable spicy. And I loved that the meat was bigger than the bun. Would order from here again; maybe try the wings next.

Not a bad chicken burger joint. Glad its halal, the waffle fries were okay and the chicken patty was HUGE. Staff was friendly and good seating, not too busy

Service is great. Space is clean. Parking is relatively easy. But the food smelled better than it tasted. Loaded mac & cheese lacked depth and got very boring to consume after a few bites. Chicken sandwich had soggy buns. We erred on the safer side by ordering one level below the waiver-required spice level, but it was more like a medium spicy. I'd say it's only a bit spicier than CFA. It's not for me, but maybe it is for you.

I couldn't tell what was better; the food or the service! The workers were very friendly and the vibe of the place is very calm and welcoming. Would recommend this place to anyone!

Combo #1 - chicken sandwich and fries

A good friend of mine had great things to say about Hangry Joe's, so we decided to grab dinner and catch up here! Located in Kirkland near the Totem Lake area, Hangry Joe's serves hot chicken sandwiches, tenders, wings, and many different sides! We came on a Saturday evening before things got packed. You can either order at the front or via a kiosk, and I recommend the front; the staff are so friendly and did a really great job of chatting with us and other customers. I ordered combo 1; this included a hot chicken sandwich, waffle fries, and a drink. For $16.95, this was a pretty good deal for the quality that you get! A sandwich includes a large chicken filet with fluffy buns, slaw, and a delicious sauce that brought everything together. My fries were crispy and also paired well with their hangry sauce, I only wish I got some more fries but they were great. I saw a bunch of other items that I wanted to try as well, like their loaded fries or loaded Mac and cheese. This is definitely a great place to catch up with a friend, or get takeout to eat elsewhere. I'll definitely come back to try other items as well!

Amazing food! Portion size is great! Don't mind paying the price when getting this much food! Chicken is perfectly cooked and spices are all there (depending what level you get) so tasty! Wings are great you get good size wings and the flavors are great the spicy bbq is so sweet my favorite kind of bbq. Sauces all are great used all of them Coleslaw was definitely different but the best one I've ever had (and I don't usually eat coleslaw) Just visiting in WA currently but we definitely don't have a chicken spot as good as this in CA! Bring it to the Central Valley please lol

OK WOW - how is this place not talked about more?! Chanced upon this place while driving by - it's located in a very nondescript strip mall so parking might not be the easiest over there as well, but worth it for the food! The chicken sandwich was delicious with a huge chicken filet sandwiched between fluffy buns with a thick slice of pickle and slaw on there. The sauce drizzled on it was so yummy too - highly recommend the "Hot" level if you're a spice lover like me. I have a really high tolerance for spice (like Carolina ghost peppers don't faze me) but even then I was too chicken (excuse the pun!) to ask for the hottest level- yes, the one requiring the waiver. The regular Hot level was already fantastic, albeit too spicy for my husband so choose carefully! Waffle fries were perfectly crispy and went well with the dipping sauce. I've heard about the cheese fries but we didn't order it this time - I'll have to come back and try that one. Everything was packaged very neatly in sturdy boxes which we greatly appreciate for our takeout meal. Overall 10/10 we really enjoyed our meal and will be back!

We came around 3 PM on a Friday and ordered from the self-service machine. Our order was ready for pickup quickly and efficiently. It was interesting that their Level 6 spice, Angry Hot, came with a warning and required a waiver to order--definitely a 'eat at your own risk' experience! We ordered the Chicken Sandos, Waffle Fries, and Chicken Wrap, all at Level 5 (Hot), and found them plenty spicy already. Note that this restaurant does not serve alcohol. There is a water fountain where you can help yourself, which we greatly appreciated while eating the spicy food. We enjoyed our food so much that we also got the Loaded Mac and Cheese and Chicken Nuggets to go. My friend is obsessed with their Mac and Cheese! The restaurant had fun interior designs and we thought the chicken looked like the angry bird. Parking was easy since there was a parking lot.

It was not great, and the Mac and cheese a def no. I was the first order of the day. No one was greeting people or acknowledging them when we walked in because everyone was on the line making food in various stages. The food tasted like it was frozen and fried, especially the chicken and fries. The Mac and cheese was so bad I tried a second bite to confirm I would never eat again. I ordered a sando, waffle fries, Mac and cheese and chicken strips with two extra ranch and they gave me no ranch and two extra hangry sauce. The only part I enjoyed was the slaw on the burger. I also had terrible heartburn after eating half a sando, one fry, and two bites of m&c. Would not recommend.

My favorite place when I want a tasty sandwich! I always get their sandwich combo at either their medium or hot spice! This past time I visited, I also tried their loaded Mac and cheese! There is space to sit down and eat and kiosks where you can order quickly if not at the front. I enjoy how I can get their sauce, pickles, and coleslaw on the side if I don't want it directly on my sandwich. Definitely a must try in Kirkland!

We found this place during its soft open and it became a family fave quickly. I've been three times and my kids go with friends. Fries and sauce. Get the fries, dip in sauce, enjoy. If you are a fried foods afficionado then you like a crispy seasoned waffle fry. These are some of the best, always hot and fresh and crisp. The spice is good, and delivers a mild my kids like. I started with their top tier heat and it was good...around Crimson Coward and other Nashville hot extremes but tends to die down as you hit the slaw and bulk of the sandwich (as others tend to also). Really flavorful though, don't get me wrong, I loved it. I've found the spice levels vary a bit, and sometimes my hot (right under their max) is weaker than other times. I also found I don't like the chicken on fries as much as I thought because it is a little too greasy (it is popcorn chicken, not cut tenders like the picture, so it tends to be a little too oily and bready to top fries). Still, I'm not going to lower my rating, just keep getting my classic and fries standard and enjoy. One of these days I'll try their Boba too but for now I'm always in the spicy chicken zone and can't think of anything else.

I got the combo - Hawaiian chicken + karaage requesting extra salad instead of rice, as well as a half order of loco moco. It's nice that there is half order as a lot of Hawaiian restaurants tend to be full orders so it is incredibly hard to try a variety of options if you're solo or in a small group. The Hawaiian chicken and karaage both are juicy and delicious. It's great that the combo is the same price as the standard individual options so I got to try more variety without paying extra. I looked at the reviews and opted to remove the rice and get extra salad which was a good move - their chop chop salad is very delicious with a nice balance of dressing, cheese, and ham. I still had some rice from the loco moco, which was sufficient for me. The loco moco is good - I wished the patty was a bit less tough but the gravy and egg make up for it. Overall, great value and great food. I'd be a regular if I didn't live so far from Kirkland (1 hr drive for food can be challenging in busy schedules)

I noticed that most of the ladies who take the order, push for addons/fixin's, while the males listen to the order quietly. For example, my usual order is double baconmaster no lettuce no tomatoes. When I order with a male, he listens, takes the order and I pay, no drama. When a lady takes the order, she usually interrupts me at the "double baconmaster " and asks if I want onions pickles and whatever. So I have to say no, and say "no lettuce no tomatoes". She then asks again to confirm about onions and pickles etc. NOOOOOO I don't want anything more, just listen to what I want!!! Today in particular, this new lady that I never interacted with, did the same thing and made it very difficult and unpleasant. I wish the servers stopped being pushy and learned to just listen. It's probably ok to ask for extras at the end, but let the customer finish the order please. I'll keep my review 5* for now, but it bothers me so much that I might knock it down if this doesn't change, it ruins my experience. I've visited other Shake Shacks before, but this was my first time visiting their Kirkland location. The Kirkland location is pretty big and has a good amount of indoor seating and outdoor patio seating. It's located across from QFC and the kiddie fountains, and so you can enjoy your burger while watching your kids (or dogs) play in the water in the summer. My family ordered: - VEGGIE SHACK ($9.99 for a single patty, $12.99 for a double patty) - Veggie burger packed with mushrooms, sweet potatoes, carrots, farro, and quinoa, and topped with American cheese, crispy onions, pickles and ShackSauce. This is not your typical Impossible burger or black bean burger, although it has more the texture of the latter. The patty exterior is crispy and the interior is soft and mushy, which complements the crunchy pickles well. It's a little on the sweeter side because of the sweet potato and carrots, but overall a satisfying veggie burger. If it weren't for the fries and shake, I'd probably get a double patty as one patty wasn't satiating enough for lunch. - 'SHROOM BURGER ($9.99) - Crisp-fried portobello mushroom filled with melted muenster and cheddar cheeses, topped with lettuce, tomato, and ShackSauce on a toasted potato bun. This was another unique vegetarian burger as I've never had a mushroom substituted for a patty before, much less, a fried mushroom stuffed with cheese. If you like mozzarella sticks, this is the burger for you! - CHEESEBURGER ($7.99 for a single patty, $10.99 for a double patty, $13.99 for a triple patty) - A made-to-order quarter pound per patty of 100% Angus beef with American cheese, and your choice of toppings on a toasted potato bun. We were a little disappointed by this burger as it doesn't come with topping by default and so it was a pretty plain burger. Apparently you have to ask for the toppings when ordering at the register (which we didn't know) or order via kiosk or online. - FRIES ($4) - enough talk about the burgers, these crinkle cut fries might have been the BEST FRIES we've ever had. They were burning hot right out of the fryer, super crispy on the outside, and soft on the inside. They had just the right amount of salt and had a good body to them to, where even the longest strands didn't break. We loved these so much, that we ended up ordering an extra basket after we finished off the first. - VANILLA SHAKE ($6) - House-made vanilla frozen custard with real vanilla. I prefer my shakes on the thicker side, but this didn't quite meet the mark as it was more liquidy than I would've liked (perhaps because it's custard-based). While it supposedly contains real vanilla, there aren't any vanilla bean flecks and so it most likely just uses vanilla extract. It was cold and refreshing, but can't say I'd go out of my way for it. - COFFEE SHAKE ($6) - Dark roast coffee hand-spun with our house-made vanilla frozen custard. The coffee taste was kind of flat and tasted more like a Frappuccino. The lid also wasn't screwed on properly (or had extra liquid that got stuck underneath the lid) and so it spilled everywhere. Service was great and we got our food within 10 minutes after ordering. They bring the food to your table and you bus yourself. The outdoor tables were relatively clean. Overall: 4/5 for food, 4/5 for service, 4/5 for atmosphere
