JACK IN THE BOX @ KIRKLAND Parking is super easy here, there's a lot of space right out front since it's next to a small plaza with other shops and places nearby. They also have a drive-through, which is usually not very busy. On weekends it can get a little more crowded, but even then, you're still able to get your order in pretty quickly. I've had Jack in the Box a few times before, and this time I came in to redeem a free reward using their app. Unfortunately, once I got inside, the staff mentioned that the rewards app doesn't work at this location and is only valid at certain locations, which was kind of a bummer. Just a heads-up, you can't use rewards here. Because of that, I ended up paying full price and ordered a cheeseburger along with their iconic curly fries. The curly fries never disappoint, they're always super seasoned and perfectly crispy, which I love. The place itself was pretty decent ambiance-wise. It's your average fast-food spot: not the cleanest, not the dirtiest, but the staff were friendly. Overall, I've always liked Jack in the Box sandwiches. I sure hope folks don't pay full price for the food here. We had a free Jumbo Jack couple code from T-Mobile. It is the only reason we went, and the only item we bought. We are required to use the app, which at least it worked, unless another review. We pre-ordered and had no issue with the pickup service. The Jumbo Jack is regularly $6.29. Oh my, it reminds of the basic hamburger that I used to eat from McD as a kid, plus lettuce and tomato. For that same price, I would rather buy 2 basic tacos from a taco truck or look at dollar menu offerings. The rating is 2 stars because it is free. I haven't eaten at Jack in the Box in probably 5 years, but have been craving my old favorites.. sourdough jack and tacos. I pulled into the parking lot and ordered from the app, then went inside and sat and waited for my food. I literally watched them bag my order and I immediately grabbed it and sat down in the restaurant to eat. Somehow despite my expediency the tacos were barely room temperature and soggy and tough to chew. The sourdough jack was also room temperature. This is probably the crappiest of crap fast food. But sometimes at 2 AM that is just exactly what you want. For me, I always skip on the burgers. The burgers are just flat out never good. They barely qualify as edible. But those tacos. Especially the tiny tacos. Even more so the spicy tiny tacos. Those little things just totally hit the spot late at night / in the wee hours of the morning. Then you gotta add the curly fries and jalapeño poppers. I don't know y'all, I just like it. I was in the mood for fast food. I wish I opted for another restaurant. Never tried Jack in the box... My husband and I parked the car and went in to place an order...After we placed an order for two chicken burgers, as we were making our way to pour a fountain drink I saw ants all over the caramel bottle that was right by the cashier counter. I tried to push that thought aside but when we got to the machine to pour a soft drink there were tiny little ants all over the machine too. Raised this concern to the staff there, who had a difficult time understanding me, as they mainly spoke Spanish. It was honestly gross and completely unacceptable. I spent over $30 on our order and couldn't eat a single thing I ordered. Driving home from a trip to see Thomas the Tank Engine with my adult son. We ordered food on the way home. It was a long drive and we wanted to eat. I needed to keep driving. His was food was fine. Except maybe that his brownie was cold. Odd. I would have thought a brownie would be warm. Mine? I couldn't eat a single thing. I ordered two classic chicken wraps. I couldn't get them out of the bag. They weren't actually wrapped, they were open and I had to tear the bag to get my hand around it to try to scrunch it together into some semblance of a wrap to take a bite. That would have been fine. I could deal with that. Except that they gave me SPICY and it was too hot for me to eat. I ordered tiny tacos. Wasn't quite sure what those would be like. Looked like a box of french fries that were tacos instead. I would have liked to have eaten those, but they were covered with lettuce and salsa and required a fork. What the hell! I am driving. I can't eat those! I ordered two brownines. One for myself, and one for my son. Yes I wanted to indulge. I don't care. I was hungry. It was a long day. Desert is my son's favorite things, of course. He is autistic, so when we discovered there was only one brownine in the bag instead of two - it didn't matter if I had no food to eat. There was no way I was going to eat my son's brownie. I am fairly certain the order was correct on the screen. But I had to shout my order about 4x to get it onto the screen in the first place. And I am absolutely certain that he knew I ordered wraps that were NOT spicy. He repeated it back about 5 different ways. I had no idea classic wraps had that many descriptions. So I've finally made it home. I ate the #@^* tacos. I was starving by then. You'd think they would have tasted better if they were going to require utensils. But they were incredibly lackluster - not worth a fork - and seemed to be deep fried of all things. Not sure if they were or not, but they weren't good. I would really like my money back. My wife and I go to Jack in the Box occasionally, but this is the first time we've been to this location. All the food was stale - they had made it in advance and let it sit. The burger patties were shriveled, dry, and way overcooked. The fries came from a big pile sitting in a warmer and were absolutely terrible. If I had a choice I would eat Jack in the Box forever! Jack in the Box tacos is fresh and crunchy. Their curly fries are very delicious and taste very good and they do not get soggy after a long time. They also have great chicken nuggets that are very crispy and good. Jack in the Box never puts too much ranch in their sandwiches. Their service is very quick and friendly. They also give out a good amount of their tiny taco box. Jack in the Box has the nicest and kindest workers that make me feel welcome. The lemonades are always fresh and nice for a hot summer day. Jack in the Box also gives their food warm and quick making it my go-to fast food restaurant. Simple order of two curly fries. Guy who took my order gave me one curly fry and one regular fry. Handed me the bag and I told him I ordered two curly fries. He looked at his screen (which said two curly fries) and didn't apologize or anything, he just said, we don't have anymore. Like ok, were you just going to give me these and hope I didn't notice? I got the stacked grilled cheeseburger. Maybe it's the picture online that's throwing me off, but isn't there supposed to be lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles?? I'm sure anything would be better than this soggy sandwich which consists of bread, cheese, meat, and a single slice of tomato. It was the girl at the checkout's first day and I guess she was REALLY stressed because my large and medium drinks were downsized to a medium and a small. This is the second time with the same guy coming through the drive-thru. Yes it's late and it sucks but I drive up to the screen with no one else in line and he tells me (in a very aggressive tone) "what is your order" he than let us know "I skipped the entire browsing screen".... excuse me but no one else is behind us I'm sorry we came to the "ordering screen" I asked him for just a few minutes which is about 3.. he made us feel like an inconvenience. I started to order within those 3 mins and he continued to tell me everything that I ordered on the menu was out. I paused and could hear some lady laughing in the background and I said excuse me but why are you all laughing I can hear you... he was like no the intercom was on silent and we weren't talking. I told him I'm sorry but I can hear you from out side from the window not from the speaker. He denied and said have a good day (sarcastically). Unfortunately this isn't the first time... and the first time it happened we let it go as him having a bad day... now it seems to be a regular thing. We've been coming here for a while and never had an issue with a late night worker being pleasant. No we didn't end up getting anything because even after he denied everything we order and than we tried to order after those items he shut his intercom off. So we said alright we will just go and said "drive home safe". Well I got an unsweetened tea and grilled chicken salad. $9.49 Well the grilled chicken was fine, but the lettuce was wilted, the cucumber was old as you can tell around the edges. What a major mess.
