Be careful at this location. After talking to a now-former employee, their standard is people can't call off sick if they are symptomatic of Covid. Management will only accept a positive test. Bad experience. I ordered a "combo" which just means a sandwich without a side or drink. So I had to order again. The sprite in the fountain was flat. They didn't ask if I wanted my sandwich cut in half then refused to cut it afterwards and they didn't have a plastic knife. I see the average is 2, I'll give it a 3 because I didn't get sick. By the time I ordered, there was no one ahead of me. They must have been wrapping up delivery orders, by the time I got to the end of the counter, so it was maybe another 3 minute wait, which definitely puts it slower than other JJ's. On my way out the door, I stepped on something squishy, and I'm thinking 'uh-oh, what did I do?' Turned out it was wadded up, squished bread; like maybe they were throwing it at each other behind the counter, and missed? About 2 months ago I ordered food from this location and waited over an hour, when I confronted the worker about how long I'd been waiting he kept interrupting me telling me he didn't care how long I'd been waiting and that it'll be another 40 minutes until my food was done, so instead of waiting 2 hours for 2 subs I asked for a refund which I never got. I then contacted the owners of this location and was told I'd receive a refund. It has been 2+ months and I haven't gotten a penny back. My wife ordered food a couple of weeks ago but never received confirmation that it went through. After an hour, she drove to the store and was told the system was not functioning properly. Purchasing food at the store as they must not have even looked at the day's orders, she returned home to find the order sitting on the porch. The MANAGERS response was, "Did you call just to insult me?" I proceeded to snap after that and got hung up on. Whoever owns this location needs to do a major cleansing of your management. I used to be a huge Jimmy Johns fan but this recent delivery order has made me question the term freaky fast. I paced an order at 1:09pm for a mini John meal and it comes to be 1:40pm with still no food and the order is not even out for delivery despite my location being less than a mile away. I called and was not offered compensation. I used to work in food service for 4 years down the street and whenever we messed up we would offer the customer a refund or extra food or something, but no. I am usually very understanding but this one just left me feeling upset at how I was treated. When the delivery person finally came a mere 50 minutes later, they rang the doorbell and waited at the door despite me giving instructions to leave at the door due to a pandemic still going on. I love Jimmy John's. The subs are great and usually the service is great. However, my last three experiences at the local JJ's in Mequon have been terrible. Twice I've ordered ahead by 20-30 minutes and when I arrive they haven't even started on my order. The last time this happened no one even talked to me. I asked where it was and then just stood there and waited as they prepped it and then handed it to me. No explanation. No apologies. Not a word. Today we ordered delivery and it took just over an hour for them to deliver it. We only live 1.3 miles from the store. When I called to ask where it was he just said it was the lunch rush. Freaky fast & becoming freaky expensive! The sandwich, which I refer to as a torpedo, is not quite the deal as it was 3 years ago. The current price of $7.43 is quite the increase from $5.57 just over a thousand days ago. Yes, Jimmy's founder must be mega-yacht shopping again. How many sandwiches does he have to sell to buy one of those bad boys? Recently used Jimmy's bread loaf to make French bread for a spaghetti dinner. The end result came out great. But, the leftovers were dry & chewy after refrigerating over night & re-heating the following day. Not really a great deal for $2.29 a loaf. Many better options at your local bakery or grocery store. I work 4 minutes down the road and I placed an order at 12:45pm to be delivered at 2:15 since I work with clients and that was my only opening to eat. After waiting 20 minutes for my order I called and asked for the manager who stated the order was delivered b/c the driver left at 2:09 and is already back eating their lunch on their break. I told him no one came to deliver the food so he put me on hold. Came back to tell me there was a "glitch" and the order somehow got "lost". Weird, since he just told me it was delivered and even recited the address it was supposed to go to.. Free smells! I'm not one to favor reviewing chains. I avoid chain restaurants as much as possible. But, when it comes to lunch and I need something freaky fast, Jimmy John's works. Their bread really makes a sub. Full of flavor with a nice chew to it, you can put anything between the two pieces and you've got a darn good sandwich. Simple online ordering, delivery, or fast pick-up are pluses. I also like how they give away sandwiches a couple of times a year for a buck. I've used them for catering a dozen or so times both as platters of sandwiches and box lunches. My only complaint is the prices of the sides. A bag of chips is ridiculous for what you get. I typically stick with just the sandwich. Lots of locations in the area and they're always consistent. A place to fall back on when in a pinch. read more

We were driving through town & I've never been to this JJ's before. I asked if they could add lettuce to a slim 4. I was told no. I thought they were kidding! Then I spoke to a guy in the back who seemed to be a manager. He explained to me that it was "against their policy" his exact words to put lettuce on a slim 4! WTH? I suggested putting it on the side even though that even seemed ridiculous that I had to ask. I was told no!
