I found my experience to be pretty mediocre. The tacos were fine, nothing great or horrible about them but they did need the salsa to help bring out some flavors. The elote was a runny mess with almost no flavor... like they pulled the corn out of the can and didn't let it drain properly. While the prices are probably standard for this type of meal, the value isn't there. Also, probably my bad here, but the two different combos were confusing... you either get beans and rice OR fries and a drink. I personally don't see a reason to ever come back as there are more Mexican restaurants around than you can ever hope to visit. read more

Friday night, not a single person in the restaurant. Ok, it was a little later- but still well within dinner hours. No diners, no one stopping in for takeout. Now I know why... food was served barely warm, and tasteless. We tried the chicken burrito and Barbacoa torta, both with rice and bean combos. They arrived on paper plates with two tiny salsa shots. I tend to avoid authentic Mexican restaurants because I'm picky and not a fan of dishes that are heavy on ingredients like peppers, onion, tomato, cilantro, and beans. Moe's Southwest Grill was always my go to as a fast casual Mexican restaurant because I could easily work around those ingredients, but unfortunately the only location in the Milwaukee area closed earlier in 2024. Taco Pros is new to the Milwaukee area and fast casual like Moe's, so I gave them a try for lunch. I ordered a steak burrito with no tomato or avocado and substituted rice for the beans. I also got chips and queso. There's a small chain of taco food trucks in the Menomonee Falls/Germantown/Butler area that opened around 2020 called El Taco Feliz. When I was working from home I would stop once a week and get their steak burrito as it was the best I found close to my house. As time went on, the quality lessened. The steak became more gristley and the burrito very greasy. The steak burrito I got from Taco Pros reminded me of the early days of El Taco Feliz. Quality steak that isn't full of gristle and excellent flavor from first bite to last without being saturated in grease. As much as I loved the burrito from Moe's, the queso was the best part of stopping there. I could eat it every day and never get sick of it. Thankfully, the queso at Taco Pros is nearly identical to Moe's queso. Even though Moe's made their chips in house and the chips from Taco Pros seem like they're out of a bag, I prefer Taco Pros chips because Moe's chips were inconsistent with the amount of salt and could often be stale depending on when they were made. read more

Delicious, authentic, flavorful, well-priced food & super friendly staff. I had their taco lunch special with chicken as my meat choice & Mexican style with just cilantro and onions, and it was really tasty. One of the best I've had in the area (and even better than That Taco Guy food truck's tacos). My husband had the chicken enchiladas and was raving about the chicken in the enchiladas, the beans, as well as the rice. Our daughter ordered the kid's taco lunch with a side of rice, and she demolished her plate. The gentleman who took our order was very sweet and amicable, and even gave us a free sample of their horchata. The restaurant was very clean, including the restrooms. Parking was no issue as this location is inside a huge shopping plaza. Will be coming back and do highly recommend! read more

Not amazing, not bad. The Mexican style tacos are full to the brim with protein, onion and cilantro. So no skimping there. The red and green sauces are flavorful and hot so that's a nice have as well considering it's WI! Beans are blended and decent. The rice is fairly clean and also not exploding with flavor but again, not bad. The vibe of the place is a brand new setup and bright/clean. I had to wait for someone to come from the back to take my order which was weird because I wasn't sure how long I would have to stand there. The price is pretty stiff considering after tip it was like 18 bucks for 3 tacos, beans and rice... This place isn't replacing taco trucks any time soon but it's a decent stand in if you can't land the real deal. I wasn't sure what to expect and I'm not blown away but it's ok for what it is even though a touch too expensive. I liked the food, not the best Mexican but pretty darn good. My husband I both got food poisoning the 3rd time so cannot recommend.

Both my husband and I had the nachos with ground beef. While the flavor was good, the chips were a soggy mess even though we ate them immediately. Maybe they were made ahead? The toppings were plentiful. I might try them again but definitely won't get nachos. Parking is easy and you can order ahead on their app (which we did not do). read more

My main issue was the fact that I got food poisoning..which I now unfortunately have to take a few days off because of. Other than that though honestly it was good, the service was awesome! The nachos were very loaded! They guacamole was really good and full of flavor. I would definitely get them again. The only downside is that half of the chips on my plate were super salty. If they could lessen the salt, I would have given 5 stars. The steak tacos were very comparable to steak tacos in authentic Mexican restaurants. The pork taco was good but there was some sort of seasoning that was strong and overpowering. I wouldn't get the pork tacos again. It would have been nice to get limes with my tacos but I didn't ask either. The people were friendly and I would go back but for now, the steak is where it's at!! read more

The online ordering prices are more expensive than in the store: one star deduction. The tacos are VERY small for the price and compared to other taco places at the same price: 1 star deduction. If you're looking for a quick bite of Mexican food, Taco Pros is the place. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The owner noticed we were a bit too warm and explained the issues with heating while one of the staff turned off the heat. To the reviews complaining about the lack of authenticity, I would say the food was fairly comparable to places you'd find in south side Milwaukee. One of the servers offered to bring out some rice and beans for my baby because he noticed I was feeding him. Now to the food itself, I have only ever ordered the taco platter with steak, pork and Barbacoa. But honestly, what more do you need? It's soooo good and always comes but two salsas. Ordered a quesadilla and paid extra to add chicken and they didn't add it. Disappointing they didn't read my order correctly.

I spent $50 and the food looked nothing like the photos and tasted so bad! The steak taste like it is old ! The rice looked like it was already made and just warmed up! The guac was dark and the chips definitely came out of a bag! If u are looking for authentic Mexican it is not it!! I have never been to a restaurant where your combo meal for Mexican food are either, "Rice and Beans" or French Fries and a can of soda". I had. Ever been in the restaurant and wanted fish tacos. They had shrimp, which is a seafood. Cheese quesadilla was good and the sandwich was average. I ordered the combo meal with double beans instead of rice and I received two sides of rice. I really enjoyed this! I had a ground beef bowl and it was delicious! It had lots of meat and vegetables in it, plus beans and rice, at a very reasonable price. I even got a second meal out of it. Really enjoyed the tacos and elote from Taco Pros. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars vs 5 is that the churro order only comes with one churro. For the price I expected at least 2.
