Double scoop vanilla on a cone
    Brody W.

Just ordered a double scoop of vanilla on a cone. I got a cone on a double scoop of vanilla instead. You can't make this up. Employees all looked miserable and weren't making food despite large lines. Long wait because of this. Also, it wasn't very clean.

The worst service imaginable I should of just walked out knowing this was going to be a terrible experience. All workers were on their cell phones, it wasn't busy but as a customer you shouldn't have to wait nearly 4-5 minutes to be acknowledged at the counter. The person walked up to counter after she finished her snap chats or whatever she was doing without even a welcome. Next mistake was placing an order, food came out looking all sloppy placed on a tray, food was cold and I didn't even bother eating left it and walked out. I would of talked to manager but he was busy on his phone too, but which I wasn't going to waste my breath since I just wasted $20 on a meal. Avoid this establishment worst customer service and food quality. The restaurant was not clean either. Noticed Drive Thur was long people waiting in cars while I employee's stood around talking and on their phones.

The staff is very friendly. The menu is a typical drive-in with a Wisconsin touch. I forgot that they have cheese curds on the menu. I'll order that next time I am here. I like the variety in the custard flavors. It brings out the kidding me.

Culver's is a staple to most Wisconsinite's. Butterburgers are well known in this area, and most people love them. What is not to love? Butter? Burgers? Mmmm... I have never been a huge Culver's fan, but my visit to this particular restaurant was fine. My burger was VERY good, and if it wasn't for how I felt after eating it, I would say it is in my top three in WI. I would say that my least favorite part about Culver's are the cheese curds. Wisconsin is known for these little delectable goodies, and in my personal opinion, Culver's fall short. They are harder than usual, and have a very crunchy exterior. Too much breading for my taste. It would be a shame if you tried your very first deep fried cheese curd here! One thing that Culver's does better than anything else is definitely the custard. It is so good! Yesterday's flavor of the day was Caramel Pecan, and it did not fall short. I would definitely suggest this to people visiting the state, as I haven't ever seen custard as frequently as I do in WI.

Overcooked, greasy mess. Burger was bland and room temperature. Service was pretty good.

They also sold frozen custard, but most of the time I was in the area it was the cold of winter so I never got to try that; something frozen was the last thing I wanted during the cold wet winter.

Everything is handcrafted with high-quality ingredients, and they even rotate unique flavors that keep you coming back just to see what's new. From classics to wild combos (yes... whiskey ice cream is a thing), every bite hits. And let's talk portions... that "double scoop" is basically a challenge in disguise. No complaints though. The vibe is awesome too--laid back, creative, and full of energy. It feels like one of those spots you stumble into and immediately know it's gonna be a regular stop. Fast service too! Honestly, it felt like stepping into a Kangra Knova track-- "Take you up so high... into outer space" because that's exactly what this ice cream does

This is a game changer for me since most of their ice creams are just base flavors without added toppings. Mixing flavors like chocolate and mint chip together created a super tasty bowl of ice cream. I'll be looking to do this the next time I make it there.

Updated booths, flooring, decor, and more. A nice refresh while still keeping the classic diner vibes. Love how obvious it is that this is family-run. The staff are long-standing, and were always greeted by the same friendly faces up front. After a 10min wait on a Sunday, we were seated in a booth with (also updated) menus. Seems a lot more condense, as previously there was almost too many options. But fear not, there's still plenty of goodness to pick from. For our kiddos we got a single order of the mickey mouse pancakes for them to share (more than enough). Comes with a big breakfast sausage too, and juice. We chose a side of fruit to add. I had the an egg white omelette with mushrooms and spinach. It came with English muffins, yay! Also added an order of turkey sausage on the side. And my husband? Could not stop raving about the breakfast burrito. Hard to impress this man when it comes to food, but he absolutely loved it. Must say though, it's a shock to walk away spending $75 (after tip) at a diner for three breakfasts. Here's to hoping these prices don't keep rising. I've yet to try any of their lunch-type items, so will add that to the bucket list.

This place has earned every bit of the praise in this review. 1. Atmosphere-When you walk in, there's a small waiting area where you check in with the hostess. The cafe is a comfortable size, bright (especially now with the remodel), clean, and always welcoming. I've never encountered sticky menus, messy tables, or anything that would gross me out. It's a clean environment. 2. Owner Presence & Service- One of the standout qualities is the owner. She is always present, always upbeat, and always engaging with guests. You can feel that this is a family owned and family operated establishment. She's hands on in every way. I've seen her wrapping silverware, clearing tables, seating guests, checking people out...you name it. The only reason I haven't seen her cook is because the kitchen is closed off. I wouldn't be surprised if she did help with cooking! Her warmth and energy set the tone for the whole restaurant, and it's one of the things I appreciate most. I'm sure this is one of the reasons why they are so successful. Because it is always busy. 3. Food Quality- The food is always great. Their pancakes are my personal favorite. Always fluffy and delicious. The menu covers just about every breakfast option you can think of from crêpes, waffles, pancakes, skillets, omelettes, corned beef hash, and even a Greek skillet with gyro meat. I like that they offer plenty of combo options so you don't have to order everything separately. They also have a nice selection of lunch items. My son never strays from his usual bacon cheeseburger which he says is delicious. 4.Coffee The coffee is solid. Nothing gourmet just good drip coffee. I do love that they keep flavored creamers right at the table. It's a small touch that makes waiting for your food even better. They also come around often with warm-ups, and that consistency goes a long way. To answer your question...YES!!! Yes, I will absolutely be back. For my family and me, it's a matter of "when." We love this place, and we will always continue coming to Maxfields, this specific Bayside location.

I'm not much of a beer drinker, but whenever I come here, I always order the Stiegl Grapefruit Radler. It goes down easy and has none of the bitterness that many beers have. For dinner, I ordered the Chopped Salad with added chicken. It arrived looking fresh and was a generous portion. I ended up taking half of it home for another meal. Service: We received terrific service throughout the evening. Our server, Grace, did a great job getting us settled in. Waters arrived right away, followed shortly by our drinks and food. Everything was efficient, but we never felt rushed. She was friendly, attentive, and took the time to have a little conversation with us, making the experience feel more personal. Thanks, Grace! Atmosphere: It was a beautiful evening. Since it was just a little cool outside, we chose a table indoors near one of the open doorways, which let in plenty of fresh air.
