Food was good service was quick, but all I can think about is how much plastic I may have already swallowed... I thought it was a piece of extra silky lettuce but decided to spit it out and realized I almost ingested a pinky sized piece of plastic. Immediately made my stomach turn and could not finish meal. Arriving around lunch time in Nashville , my partner, his family and I had changed to plan B and came to this establishment. Located on Church Street, this fast food sandwich chain is so much better than Subway. We were really impressed at how squeaky clean the restaurant was. The subs have a generous portion of meat and they are well priced. The subs are made to order and they are exceedingly fast. We ordered #14 BOOTLEGGER CLUB consisting of ROAST BEEF & TURKEY, Provolone cheese, lettuce, tomato & mayo and #2 BIG JOHN with ROAST BEEF, Provolone cheese, lettuce, tomato & mayo. For a little more, we opted for the combo which came with a side of chips and a drink. Hands down they were no complaints. Quick nod to JJ's ... wifey and I had a free Tmobile coupon and ordered their mini sandwich through their app; - app was quick and easy to work with - could order extras, customize sandwiches and lay with Apple Pay. - quick -- was ready in about 5 minutes. - sandwich: bread was fresh and for a mini that was normally $3.50 seemed like a real good deal. Very disappointed with Jimmy John's ,Nashville airport. They offered breakfast only so I ordered the bacon,egg, provolone. Only one employee on duty so not very fast bread roll was gooey, bacon previously cooked, tough chew, not crisp at all, egg was obviously pre-cooked and tasted like a left over fried egg. The menu board said coffee, but they did not have coffee. My first time to try J Js at any location . Now I'm not sure I'll try one again . A waste of my $$$. read more

Pretty good. They have two sides, one for call-in orders and another for walk-in traffic. I happen to have walked in. It was consistently busy. I ordered and with in a few minutes I received my order. The sandwich was fresh. The bread had a nice chew to it. That's always a good sign. Unlike other places where the bread is too soft. As for the toppings or ingredients, there was plenty of meat, cheese, and an appropriate amount of lettuce and tomatoes. This place needs to be more organized. Placed a pickup order, order was received. Sat there and waited almost 30 minutes because they never marked it ready to pick up. Only when I went to ask about it and they still didn't know what was going on. Lady behind the counter throws her hands in the air and says "sorry." Super annoying. First, the positive: It's Jimmy Johns, and their locations tend to be pretty consistent. Where this chain excels is speed. And the sandwich I always get (JJ Gargantuan with lettuce wrap "unwich") is really fantastic for a filling, easy to hold/eat low-carb option at a sandwich joint, when your group is set on a sandwich type joint like this (or Subway, Which Which, etc.). So in a nutshell, I can get in and out fast, and get a great low-carb sandwich type thing that's easy to eat on the go. Where they seem to be lacking is in customer service. Their staff seems about 99.9% focused on speed and beyond that seems to not care about much else. They don't greet you, barely pay attention or offer info/assistance when ordering, can be rude/short, and generally give the impression that they're indifferent that you're even there. Ditto re the loud music another reviewer mentioned about this place. The vibe is kinda like the staff comes in and gets pumped up with their jamz to crank out those sandwiches at light speed, hit their store metrics like rock stars, and deal with the customers as a necessary evil. So I don't *love* it, especially if I'm sitting down to eat (thus the 4 stars instead of 5). But the food is great and fast. And the drive through with order-ahead ability on the app rocks. read more

Friendly, courteous, and helpful staff. If you're a regular customer they remember what you ordered last time. The food is decent and all the ingredients appear fresh. Unlike Subway, when you request extra tomatoes you get extra tomatoes! The rewards program is nice because you occasionally get part of your order free. My only complaint about this location concerns the recent change to metal seats and chairs. They aren't as comfortable as the ones that were replaced. I have always enjoyed this Jimmy John's when downtown. Much like most I have frequented while working across the country on assignment, they make great sandwiches (JJs Gargantuan Lettuce Wrap... Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm) and are usually very friendly and prompt even when it is packed and busy. Imagine my joy when I looked on Yelp while working at a friend's house just across the Cumberland and saw they were a little over a mile away. Imagine my disappointment upon calling for delivery they only deliver downtown because the "drivers" are all on bikes. Don't get me wrong. I am not hating on JJs for evolving their practices to suit their particular market. It just seems to me they would advertise said differences a bit more clearly for those who, like myself, expect they would otherwise operate pretty much the same as any other JJs establishment from cost to coast in which I have eaten. Otherwise, this would be a 4 star review. Great choice if you are anywhere downtown. Forget it if you want delivery outside that. read more

Today marks the second day in a row I've truly enjoyed my dinner while waiting to go to work. Some say too bland or not Subway. I say, thank god it's another option other than the "McDonalds" of sandwich making known as Subway! The staff is on point, the sandwich is made and ready to go before you even fill your medium cup of soda 6 feet away from the line. I always like Jimmy John's for quick fast-food when I don't have the time to have anything better. I left this location with an unpleasant experience. The girl took a minute to come to the counter, after recognizing me, didn't say anything until I said "I'd like one #4 please". Got my card, made my sandwich (did she use the same hands after handling the cashier?!), threw the receipt on my sandwich, and turned around as she was throwing the receipt on the sandwich. All she said to me was being"mayo, lettuce, tomato and cheese?" It was so mean. Was she in a bad mood, or doesn't like Asians? I don't enjoy leaving negative reviews, but the girl made me feel so bad that I couldn't resist. read more

I'm a huge fan of Jimmy Johns, and they are the restaurant of choice whenever I'm in a city that has one. I rushed back from a Sounds game and was just a minute late after closing. I wanted to get an evening sandwich and one for my flight the next day. One of the employees looked like he was going to make an exception, but the other shook his head, and turned his back but not before clearly making a expletive comment to me. There was no reason for this, I understood the locked door. A big fu to you punk, I am thinking of writing a letter to corporate about you, because this is not how this company operates and they surely don't need to have your rude a$$ as their representative. On November 8 we had a lunch meeting planned at the State Capitol. We had ordered lunch from a restaurant. One hour before the meeting we discovered that the restaurant was not able to fulfill the order. We quickly called Jimmy John's on Church Street in downtown Nashville. They delivered within the hour - 35 sandwiches, chips, cookies and bottles of water - YES on a bicycle to the State Capitol!! Everyone is SUPER friendly and they know exactly how I like my VITO (#5) sandwich (add dijon - add cucumber - extra hot peppers)... Seriously, you have got to try this!! YUM. This was the second time I remember eating at Jimmy John's, and the first time was back in 2006, so it had been a while. I ordered online and let me tell you - if I go back, it'll definitely be because of the great customer service. They had my name obviously and they used it! They were all, "HI, Meredith! Here's you sandwich, Meredith, See you later, Meredith!" I'd rate the food about a 6 on a scale of 1-10, but I'm thinking it's just a one time thing and I"ll order something different next time. TERRIBLE FOOD! TERRIBLE SERVICE!!!! $33.57 for 3 skimpy sandwiches, chips, and drinks. I'm not even sure where to begin. The workers acted as if we were inconveniencing them. The lady at the register couldn't even answer basic questions and we later found out it was her first day. Had to ask for napkins and they pointed in the direction--finally found them... Turns out they are hidden behind the counter and you have to reach over the counter to grab one. They do not set them out in plain view for anyone to take what they need. Same thing with sweetener for tea. Nothing is setting out... you have to ask for it. They only have Sweet N Low - no Splenda. We were told we could made our sandwiches combo meals but the computer would only do it for 1 per ticket. Turned out making it a combo meal only saved $.36 anyway. Look at the receipt. And you can only turn one into a combo although you're ordering multiples for a family. The sandwiches had practically nothing on them. If you don't believe me look at the pictures I am posting. We paid $7.05 each for sandwiches that mostly had hard stale bread. It was our first time there so we did not know what to ask about, such as topping or type of bread, but we were never told anything and just got what they wanted to give us. We will never ever ever go back there again. This place cannot hold a candle to the worst Subway I've ever visited. Also after paying so much, they never even put the food on a tray. They just handed each of us the sandwich as it was made. We got our own chips and had to ask for cups to get our own drinks. They did very little and still couldn't be nice. read more

I thought I would share my experience, just in case someone else has had the same experience. I placed an online order, where I ordered three sandwiches, added a tip to the order and used a credit card to pay for the complete order. Nothing that I haven't done in the past, with success. After I received the confirmation email, I received a call re: a family emergency and had to leave the office for a few hours. But, since I work at one of the largest law firms in the downtown Nashville area about two blocks from this location, I notified our receptionist that the food should be delivered and asked if one of the hostess would deliver the food to the attorneys when it arrived. When I returned to the office and found the receipt and realized that the tip wasn't on the receipt, I called the store to confirm that they added the tip. Then my attorney (who is pregnant and was super hungry when I initially ordered) rushed out to ask me if I was speaking with Jimmy John's and proceeded to let me know that they didn't receive their food until 1:40 pm. That's right over an hour and a half later. After speaking with Amber, she let me know that the driver called my number repeatedly only to find out that I had a family emergency and she was adamant about not having her drivers leave the location with a credit card payment prior to delivery and said that she told him to go ahead and deliver the other orders. Luckily, my office phone will tell me how many missed calls I received, and details on the call. Unfortunately, I only received one call from Jimmy John's driver at 1:40 pm. I asked to speak with the manager, who is the owner of this location. When I hadn't heard from him on Monday, I called the Jimmy John's 800 number (who by the way is night and day on customer service compared to this location, as they were super fast and responsive and even the regional manager contacted me on Monday). I finally received a phone call from one of the owners, as these are brothers that own this location, and as nice as he was, he was making up all sort of excuses as to why our food wasn't delivered for over an hour and a half later. Even mentioning to me that they tried to deliver the food and couldn't get anyone to sign the receipt and they returned the food to the store. When I asked our receptionist what they do in this situation she said that they never have to sign for Jimmy John's unless a tip wasn't included. She also mentioned that they hadn't come up to ask for me. Which is understandable because Amber was adamant about not letting the drivers deliver food that has not been confirmed, which is why he said he called me repeatedly. Jimmy John's deliver food to our law firm several times a day so I'm confident that the driver knew our procedure. I'm probably of the old school mindset that the customer is right and as a business owner to ask what can they do to make you happy. This was not asked and I believe I'm more disappointed that the story from Friday, immediately after the situation, and what the co-owner talked to me about were drastically different. I would have respected this leadership more if they would have said that is was so rainy and busy and that the order was overlooked instead of trying to make up excuses and saying how they showed up and no one would sign the receipt that already was paid for and tip added. I know for me, Jimmy John's will be taken off of my list of go-tos for my attorneys' lunch orders. I know it was one incident, but, it was one incident that was handled poorly and this is still a customer service industry. read more
