(3 stars) I recently visited Keke's Breakfast Cafe for breakfast and came away with a mixed impression. I ordered the Eggs Benedict, while my guest chose the Florida Waffle. The Eggs Benedict was decent, but unfortunately it arrived cold, which took away from the experience. I also found myself wishing the dish had a more creative twist or signature element to make it stand out from the many other versions available around Nashville. My guest enjoyed the Florida Waffle and thought the fresh fruit was a nice touch. However, we both felt it could have been elevated with a house-made or specialty syrup that complemented the toppings and made the dish feel a little more unique. On the positive side, the service was friendly and attentive, and the restaurant was clean and well-maintained. The overall atmosphere made for a pleasant breakfast. While there wasn't anything particularly wrong with our meal, nothing really stood out enough to make us want to return. There are several breakfast spots in Nashville that offer more memorable dishes, so I don't think it's a restaurant I'd go out of my way to visit again. We checked out Keke's for breakfast since I'd heard good things about it. There's a paid garage next door but we found street parking. We were seated immediately and had Anika as our server. She was amazing! Great service. The restaurant is cute with lots of lights and bright colors. It's good for families. The food came quickly and was delicious. HUGE portions. I got the 1 caramel banana pancake combo with potatoes and bacon. The pancake came with pecans which I didn't care for (they were on top and underneath) but the pancake was very good otherwise. My husband got the 2 French toast combo with eggs and ham. I asked Anika if the pancakes and French toast were always this big, even with the 3 pancake platter and she said yes. I don't know how anyone would eat all that! I'd have to share with someone. We'll definitely be back. Oh, there's a CBID fee (basically downtown improvement tax) added to each check so don't be surprised. It's only a few cent so not terrible. read more

I wish I had a better experience. I've had Keke's at different locations and I've never had the food come out tasting stale. I was able to find parking in the adjoining parking lot connected to the Publix. The service was okay. This is a new location. The space was decorated nicely. I ordered The Cafe Combo with a Chocolate Chip Pancake, bacon, and breakfast potatoes. The pancake was ok but everything else was difficult to eat. I was on the area for an early morning appointment and I wanted to check this place out. Really I just like breakfast food... I don't really need any other reason. So I just placed a to go order. Had a bit of miscommunication about how sides worked, overall not a big deal. The host offered me water while I waited. It is so close to Publix that I went and got a cake for my girlfriend for National Princess Day. Also because of this proximity it has plenty of free parking :). Onto the food. Overall, underwhelming. The French toast wasn't soaked enough. It was basically just a Nutella and banana sandwich. The waffle was just kind of average. This is my second time at KeKe's and I love it as a weekday breakfast option. I first tried KeKe's in FL and it always stood out so I was happy to get one in Nashville. Our server Michael was amazing this morning. Definitely ask for him for top notch service. Secondly the location is cool. Nice interior and free parking for up to 2 hrs. The food is delicious and not too heavy. I love the french toast it's always cooked to perfection. This was my first time getting the turkey bacon never again it is bland. I would not recommend it. I will say the home fries were good. My coworkers all raved that their food was really good as well. I definitely think if you work in the downtown area this is a nice place to grab breakfast before or after (night shift) work. read more

First off our server, Zaya, was excellent. My daughter and I were a bit frantic from traveling and trying to get on the road but wanting more than a fast food hamburger. We ordered the wrong meal, spilled our hot cocoa whipped cream on the table and Zaya always made us feel as if we weren't being a nuisance. If you want a combination of these you will have to game plan the way to do it by ordering extra sides for a higher price. The menu was simply not done well. I ordered enough food to have for the next day - I ordered a breakfast wrap with eggs, no cheese, a fruit bowl, a side of bacon and a NY bagel. The food was made quickly and it was promptly delivered (shout out to my DD driver!). My food was still hot when I dug into it. My wrap was large and definitely enough for two meals. The bacon was greasy, but its bacon. The potatoes were also greasy, but I think that's how they cook food down South. And the fruit bowl was so full, the lid was not on all the way. Lots of huge fresh looking berries, bananas and grapes! Yum! I was so hungry I didn't realize until I was done eating that my bagel was missing. It was like $7. So I didn't realize until ask for a refund of that. I'm glad I ordered extra food, because I didn't have time to get dinner the following night and the remaining half of the wrap, potatoes, bacon and fruit was a satisfying late night dinner!
