Waffle House is... Waffle House. It served its purpose, but don't go in expecting a five-star dining experience. It was loud, the employees were yelling back and forth, and the atmosphere felt a bit chaotic. The food was just okay. My waffle was flat, and I found myself wondering where my bacon was while waiting on the rest of my meal. I was also waiting quite a while for my grits because they were accidentally given to another customer. Thankfully, the gentleman in the back noticed what happened, apologized, and offered to make me a fresh order at no charge. I appreciated him making it right. One piece of advice: skip the water and order a flavored drink instead. As for the customer service, it was mediocre overall. No one was outright rude, but the service wasn't particularly attentive either. Overall, it was an average Waffle House experience. It'll work if you just need a quick, no-frills breakfast, but I wouldn't go in expecting much beyond that. read more

I hadn't visited a Waffle House in eight years when my boss and I thought it was a good idea to initiate our associate team member into its glories since he had never been to one before. There was one about eight minutes from the Gaylord Opryland where we were staying, so grabbed an Uber and had a lovely time there. I enjoyed their Texas cheesesteak with bacon and hashbrowns covered, smothered, diced, spiced, and all the rest for the most part. I should have gotten them scattered and double order but oh well, there is always the next time at a Waffle House. If you have been to one Waffle House, they all share the same aesthetic and ambiance with local charm depending on where you are. This one was very good and enjoyed the staff and the commentary on the potential for tornadoes from the thunderstorm system passing over us. It's the waffle House. You know what you are getting. I love these people, and I wish they were in California. The closest one to me is in Phoenix. I showed up on a Monday night at about 9:30 PM, and there was only one person working, He was still waiting for a server to come in. The restaurant was well over, half full, and he was doing everything. Taking orders, cooking, serving, refilling the coffee, taking payments, everything. And he was doing it with a fantastic attitude! Everybody was very patient, they realized that he was working hard.. I had the cheesesteak, hash brown bowl, with a couple of over easy eggs on top. Absolutely delicious! The hashbrowns were crisp on the outside, tender on the inside, and not greasy at all. , the cheese was good, the meat was delicious, I loved the grilled onions, and the eggs were perfectly over easy with that yolky goodness that I love...The Coffee was great, and even though he was doing everything else, He made sure my cup was kept full. Our waitress, Paris, was fenomenal despite it being the end of her shift, and she was the only one waiting on the entire restaurant with around 20 customers in the restaurant. We love this place, looking for a simple breakfast that is quick and friendly service. This is a good place to come late in the evening. We stopped in after the Opry show. We enjoyed our waffle, with pecans and maple syrup, eggs, grits, hash browns and the star of the show was the house made Chile. I think this is on a secret menu. We at some straight from the bowl and saved the second half to go with our hash browns. SOS so good, next time we might add some cheese on top. Fun and fast service, our cook was quick and efficient. Now this review is on the full Waffle House experience! This was my first time ever at a Waffle House, and I went in with no expectations whatsoever. We were seated pretty quickly. There were several tables that just had to be cleaned up. Our server was so kind, and took our order right away. I got the all star breakfast with over easy eggs, hash browns, sausage, white toast, and a chocolate chip waffle. The eggs were cooked perfectly which the right amount of runny yolk. I love hash browns and these were also crispy and flavorful. The sausage was just okay and the white bread was just white bread. But altogether it works very well. Now this waffle was amazing! It was light and fluffy and the mini chocolate chip made it tasty! All the food I got was under $11 before tip! It was a very reasonable price. On our last day in Nashville some of my colleagues insisted to have breakfast at the Waffle House since they got tired of the hotel breakfast buffet. This little girl is so rude and Idk if she is just not fond of black people or what the issue is. I came here for the second day in a row and it's obvious it's a problem. Yesterday, the man walked in right before me, she took his order but refused to take mine. Today, same thing. She asked me to move out the way, didn't acknowledge me after she took the person in front of me order. I told her I wasn't getting out of line because I have been in line and she didn't want to take my order. They don't allow you to eat in the restaurant from 9 PM until 7 AM. Google states that they're open 24 hours but during this time it's only for to go orders. Would've been nice to know before I drove all the way down to the airport to catch my flight. The staff is way overworked. There are never enough staff members to help with the demand of customers. I have to write this review to hopefully help people out when making the decision to come here or not. My advice, dont get near this place. Below our some pics at what we saw at our waffle house experience at this location. I wish I had more. Like a picture of the disgusting tables and the line of people waiting for a table. I wish I had a picture of our server sticking her whole arm and hand (without glove protection) into the cooler next to the grill to get out a slab of bacon. I dont have a picture of the open bucket of batter next to the to go orders. I also dont have a picture of the time one of our serves took a cold pancake from a to go box, right in front of me, and served it to me. After I asked where our last waffle was, nicely. This place is unsanitary and unhygienic. If I were top post these pictures to the food administration in Nashville, I am positive they would come down and take a look at the place, if not shut it down. Don't get near this place. I always told my boyfriend to feed me Waffle House whenever I visit Nashville. Since he's the one who introduced it to me (we don't have it in Vegas).
