    Traditional waffle

Super friendly service, and food came out quick. Waitress was great and the district manager was showing a new eomployee how to cook. He was also watching and direfting how the plates should look when the food is served. Had a great conversation with him! Eggs cooked perfectly, good coffee, perfect hashbrowns, waffle, ham. We had a great visit here!

It's the waffle House. You know what you are getting. I love these people, and I wish they were in California. The closest one to me is in Phoenix. I showed up on a Monday night at about 9:30 PM, and there was only one person working, He was still waiting for a server to come in. The restaurant was well over, half full, and he was doing everything. Taking orders, cooking, serving, refilling the coffee, taking payments, everything. And he was doing it with a fantastic attitude! Everybody was very patient, they realized that he was working hard.. I had the cheesesteak, hash brown bowl, with a couple of over easy eggs on top. Absolutely delicious! The hashbrowns were crisp on the outside, tender on the inside, and not greasy at all. , the cheese was good, the meat was delicious, I loved the grilled onions, and the eggs were perfectly over easy with that yolky goodness that I love...The Coffee was great, and even though he was doing everything else, He made sure my cup was kept full. Even after a very generous tip for all of his hard work, the price was beyond extremely reasonable for what I got. Thank you so much for a fantastic meal.

This was a fantastic American experience. Our waitress, Paris, was fenomenal despite it being the end of her shift, and she was the only one waiting on the entire restaurant with around 20 customers in the restaurant. The hash browns were very good. I had buttered toast which was great and she didn't charge me anything! Service was very fast even though they had just started cleaning the grill when we got there. The general vibe of this place was so aesthetic. Perfect place for a late night meal.

House chile. I think this is on the secret menu. Eat half and save the other half for your hash browns

We love this place, looking for a simple breakfast that is quick and friendly service. This is a good place to come late in the evening. We stopped in after the Opry show. We enjoyed our waffle, with pecans and maple syrup, eggs, grits, hash browns and the star of the show was the house made Chile. I think this is on a secret menu. We at some straight from the bowl and saved the second half to go with our hash browns. SOS so good, next time we might add some cheese on top. Fun and fast service, our cook was quick and efficient. Amazing how fast everything was prepared. Definitely not fancy, but hits the spot.

Great service and great location if you're looking for a quick traditional breakfast! The bacon was crispy, coffee was fresh and hot and grits were right on!

Now this review is on the full Waffle House experience! This was my first time ever at a Waffle House, and I went in with no expectations whatsoever. We were seated pretty quickly. There were several tables that just had to be cleaned up. Our server was so kind, and took our order right away. I got the all star breakfast with over easy eggs, hash browns, sausage, white toast, and a chocolate chip waffle. The eggs were cooked perfectly which the right amount of runny yolk. I love hash browns and these were also crispy and flavorful. The sausage was just okay and the white bread was just white bread. But altogether it works very well. Now this waffle was amazing! It was light and fluffy and the mini chocolate chip made it tasty! All the food I got was under $11 before tip! It was a very reasonable price. I did enjoy my first Waffle House experience.

Packed house but quick service and short wait. Our server could not be better with reassuring our table would be clean and that she'd be right with us. This is the All-Star Special, with a plain waffle and cheesy scrambled eggs. The waffle was perfect, exactly what you would expect from a place specializing in waffles. The eggs were cooked delicately with cheese laced throughout. No burn spots, everything juicy. The hashbrowns were good, adding a couple dashes of salt helped. The coffee was too hot for me to enjoy immediately, but what else could you expect... Overall a goood experience!

Waffle house? I think not. The waffles tasted worse than what you get from the freezer section. If your going to add toppings to the waffles might Want to make sure it doesn't look like a child's plate. Smothered hash browns came with kraft cheese..seriously?! Who still eats processed kraft cheese. I was definitely not impressed. Not sure how this a must visit when the food is terrible. However, the enthusiasm of the waitresses was great.

Yeehaw, my first time at the Waffle House in probably 33 years or more and it wasn't as bad as I had expected. On our last day in Nashville some of my colleagues insisted to have breakfast at the Waffle House since they got tired of the hotel breakfast buffet. Surprisingly I felt that the Waffle House breakfast actually tasted better in many ways, from the coffee to the waffle, the eggs and bacon and the homemade grits. I also liked that the place was nice and clean and had friendly service. I doubt that I am going to be a regular but definitely will be back. Enjoy and Bon Appetit.

I presume it was clean, but cannot be certain 'cause it was too dark & dreary. (I usually avoid chains.) The host was all 'cheery' and such, but I would have none of it. When you ask, 'how are we?' My response will always be, either to turn around to look and RE-state that it's "dinner for one," or ignore him/them, or possible some other even more rude response (to such an ignor*** comment/question: I don't have a mouse in my pocket--do you, I am not an alien with a foreign entity living in my body, 'do I look pregnant?') Another server showed up and everything, service-wise, took a step forward. I am always clear and very particular on my food. I don't eat pork (clean food and religious reasons--both one and the same) and I don't eat Nightshades (food allergies). I clarified that the brisket was beef. I emphatically repeated that if it was NOT 'fatty' I did NOT want it. This wasn't casually declared . It was repeated, belabored and emphasized. I did NOT want it if it was NOT fatty. And we thoroughly examined the rest of the menu (side dishes) to ensure I could eat they (savory but NOT sweet and no pork). I settled on the Brussels sprouts and corn on the cob. The second server had promised to get my order out to me in five minutes. He pretty much executed--good on him. The brisket: over cooked and dry. I am disgusted that my highly specific request had been so blatantly ignored. The corn on the cob had been 'soaking' in something (water?) and it tasted like laundry water (no I've never drank dirty laundry water but we all know what it smells like and our taste buds respond to our olfactory senses. The bar has two hidden TVs that you can only see when you sit at the bar, which is such a cool touch. It keeps the space feeling upscale without sacrificing the ability to catch a game. The overall ambiance is great, and the music is always at the perfect volume for an easy conversation. The drinks have been consistently excellent. We've tried both cocktails and wine, and everything has been delicious. The wine is a little overpriced in our opinion, but it was so good that I'm glad we still ordered it! On our most recent visit, we started with the burrata. It was very good, but I do wish there had been more sauce and more cantaloupe. The sauce felt more like an accent than something that really tied the dish together. That said, the perfect bite was definitely the burrata with the prosciutto and cantaloupe! For our entrees, Jonathan ordered the pork chop, and I had the piri piri chicken. Both came with broccolini and patatas bravas. I was expecting traditional Spanish-style patatas bravas, so when whole baby potatoes showed up, I was initially a little disappointed. Don't let that fool you, though--these potatoes were incredible!!! Crispy on the outside, perfectly cooked on the inside, and packed with flavor! They ended up being one of my favorite parts of the meal! My piri piri chicken was fantastic! The portion was much larger than I expected, and the piri piri sauce served on the side was absolutely lick-the-plate good. I found myself dipping the potatoes and broccolini in it because it was just that delicious. Piri piri isn't something you come across often in Nashville, and The Finch absolutely nails it--and at a really reasonable price. Jonathan's pork chop was cooked perfectly with great flavor. It wasn't an over-the-top, show-stopping dish, but for around $30--including both sides--at a more upscale restaurant, it's hard to beat the value. One more recommendation: get the volcano rock shrimp. We had it on a previous visit, and we still talk about it! It's easily one of our favorite dishes we've had here. The Finch has been consistently good every time we've visited, and that's what keeps bringing us back! Great food, great drinks, a fun atmosphere, and solid value for the quality. We'll definitely be back again!
