This is my local Jimmy Johns from my hometown. I quickly fell in love with this fast-food chain and continued to eat here regularly while I lived at home. This location is as nice as any other location and has a friendly and fun staff demeanor. I have had troubles in the past with fast delivery but I won't hold it against them. I am a huge fan of the Gourmet Veggie Club, JJ Gargantuan, the Hunter's Club, and the Ultimate Porker. Over all they are super fast, the staff was nice and friendly. They even sign me up Jimmy Johns reward program. The bread was nice and warm, super soft and they had the place very clean. Me and my mom went to jimmy John's together my husband had work we did an online order we waited 15 minutes went to pick it up and they said 10 more minutes and they had a lot of costumers. so we were like ok yea we show up and they are like 30 minutes we are out of bread and then they we said ok we'll you let this guy order before us and he like 15 sandwiches and they did his order but it has been 20 minutes of waiting and. we asked can we have are sandwiches and then he stared to yell and " it not ready" and we were the only ones in there and he was so disrespectful to us .and all we wanted was sandwiches. Last 2 times I ordered on the app the got my order wrong, first order was missing an entire sandwich and 2nd time the sandwiches I got for my kids (who are picky) was supposed to be plain and of course had everything on it. Just waited 33 minutes for my mobile order. The girl up front couldn't find my order so I waited another 20 minutes and simply asked if they found the ticket. The male "Manager" proceeded to yell at me (female) about how he had to come in on his day off and they'd get to it when they'd get to it. Proceeded to yell at me in front of other customers with all others staring in disbelief. He yelled at a female employee about how "she was being useless" (I'm pretty sure she was new and training). My young son was so nervous he just wanted to leave without his sandwich. This is not our first bad experience. I'm a level headed person and I am still shaking from this experience. We ate here this afternoon and were greeted by two very sweet, sharp young ladies. Got our order perfectly correct (veggie unwich with kickin ranch and jjblt). Jimmy Johns is our favorite "fast food" and we eat at many different ones in the area. These two employees made our experience today exceptional. This place is the absolute worst when it comes to having orders ready on time for delivery or pick up. Two weeks ago I placed a large catering order ($200) for pick up at 10:30am in order to be ready for an 11am funeral. Order was not ready. Waited 20min for the owner to make all 30 sandwiches, pack up 20 cookies and 20 bags of chips as I waited and his staff of six watched. His excuse was, "I have nine other catering orders for 10:30am pick up." Sounds like a good problem to have. Maybe get your staff in earlier to accommodate the pick up times...nobody said you can't start making the sandwiches earlier than the pick up time. Get in there at 9am and start cranking out sandwiches for the 10:30am pick ups. Not rocket science. Same situation happened today for a delivery order. I ordered two sandwiches w/chips at 11am hoping to have it ready for my kid's remote learning lunchtime which begins at 11:30am. Freaky Fast, I think not. 11:42am rolls around and still no sandwiches delivered. I called to ask where the food was and I received the same lame excuse. "We are extremely busy. All 11am orders are out for delivery." Again, sounds like a great problem to have...being busy. As I was complaining to the owner, he literally put the phone down while I was speaking to him, ignoring my complaint. His answer again, "We are really busy," and then hung up on me. Maybe get more staff and drivers on hand for your lunch time rush and get the sandwiches to the destinations within a reasonable time frame. We waited 42min for a sandwich I could've picked up in 15min. This is an on going problem for this location. They have no idea how to prioritize their work flow and from the looks of it no idea how to train their staff. Shame on the owner for thinking he can do it all himself. Rude, extremely rude! Was calling an order in for my kids school. The first man on the phone hung up on me was extremely rude and rushing me on the phone for my online order and huffing and puffing. Upon being rushed I was trying to explain the order needed to be dropped off by 12. Upon hanging up the guy asked if I'd like to add an additional tip, I stated no he huffed and puffed I asked what's the issue and he made a statement that he'll see if he can have a 3rd party drop off the food because this was another no tip of the morning mind you it was only 45 minutes after opening (10:45am) and I stated I didn't know a tip wasn't added since the price was already at 18$. I said go ahead and add a 2$ tip the guy got extremely argumentative and stated he will not accept the tip and see what he could do to make sure the food makes it there by 12:30 and that he'll tip the driver himself and I said sir it's no problem I didn't know how the fees work, if adding an additional tip will get my kids food to school by lunchtime please add it. He argued service fees aren't a tip! I asked to speak to a manager and over heard him talking to a lady stating I was screaming and yelling at him which was false as I was also at work which was why I was calling in an order for my kid.This guy said he is the manager and that he could not give me his name and I'm wasting him time here's an email to express concerns. I asked him to repeat it so I could grab a paper and pen to write the contact information down and he told me he has too many customers and doesn't have time to deal with me and hung up again. Today we ordered 8 sandwiches for our office meeting and 3 of the 8 were incorrect. One sandwich was the completely wrong sandwich, roast beef instead of turkey. The other was supposed to be an unwich for one of our employees with a gluten intolerance. And the other was missing the add-ons that we're specifically asked for. We called to correct the situation and the manager, Nick, was very rude on the phone and would not accept the fact that there were mistakes made. We ended up asking if we could just buy the new sandwich so that our staff could eat and continue on with our meeting. Nick continued to be very rude even after we offered to pay for their mistakes. They messed up my phone order. I called about 1 minute after the driver left my house to let them know they gave me 2 wrong sandwiches. The call taker told me they typically don't make new sandwiches and made it feel like it was my error even though I called it in. Did not offer to cancel my order so I could have just reordered on my phone app to get 50% off. Used to live in Lockport and constantly heard "were out of bread" "were not delivering right now" or they just took over an hr to get to my house. This is my local JJs, and maybe I'm a little partial, but the sandwiches here are second to none. I always get the number 14 with EZ mayo, while adding dijon, sauce and oregano. This makes for a really tasty sandwich, one that keeps me coming back week after week. I enjoy the Jimmy Chips too as you get a good sized serving unlike what you get at Subway. For my money, JJs is the best sandwich out there. By the way, avoid the mayo and cheese and it cuts the fat content significantly. read more

My saga began in the morning when my daughter and i realized that she had nothing that "she wanted" from our refrigerator to take for lunch. Of course this was not realized the night before but instead the morning of. I do not work far from her school so I promised her that I would bring her something to school. Well I arrived at my office and began working to only receive a call from my daughter asking if I had delivered her lunch!!! Well of course I was horrified because she went on to say she was HUNGRY!!! My goodness, I now had an emotional hungry moody 8th grader. So I hung up to call a friend of mine who lived a block from the school but I did not receive an answer and then immediately I thought of Jimmy Johns actually being near her school. I picked up the phone and asked if they would deliver to Hickory Creek and they said yes it was in their area. I order locally from Jimmy Johns and know that they do not take order over the phone so I told her that i would go on line to place the order but I needed it deliver fast. She said it would be unnecessary because she would take my order and credit card over the phone!!!!! The food itself is as good as any other Jimmy Johns. This review is about the CONSISTENTLY bad delivery. Not fast at all and have had delivery issues now on multiple occasions. Just ordered 9-sandwiches for my office, w/ sides, for delivery. It has been almost an hour and it has not even left the store yet???? This has happened before multiple times from this location. For the New Lenox, IL location, I wouldn't even rate it a 1. This is my second time I've been in there and they make a simple sandwich wrong. First time, I let it go. Today before leaving with my to go order, I asked if there was cheese on it, twice.. They said, "yes," and I left. Sure enough, I get back and realize there is no cheese, the bread is hard, and barley any meat was on it. So, I called. The Manager, Jason, said they would deliver a new one, "even though we weren't in delivery," like he was doing me a favor. I took him up on the offer, only because it's something simple that they can't quite figure out. After 35 minutes of waiting, I called and they told me my delivery was out.. Another 25 minutes later, I called back, and the manger, JASON, told me they delivered it to me and insisted I was lying. Then when he realized they delivered it to the wrong place, told me to "walk and get my sandwich from where they delivered it to." Terrible, Terrible, customer service. Overall, Jimmy Johns is great, but I will not be going to the New Lenox location. I'll stick to Morris and rate them a 5 star. read more
